UPDATE: My family and I have been coming here for several years and in the beginning I rated this property via Google, but never provided a review (narrative) to support my rating...and since this property is kind of like our "second home," I figured I'd finally provide some ample comments. I also submitted a Yelp review of this property back in 2016; however, since then, my opinion/review of this place has changed (improved). I'll tell you, my initial visit to this property wasn't as memorable as how I feel about this place now - I have a much bigger appreciation of Station properties. Also, I probably wouldn't be visiting Santa Fe Station as much if my family and I never moved residence. I had the opportunity to stay in a double queen room several years ago for 2 nights and I can't say that I was impressed with the room. Specifically, the bed was very uncomfortable and I woke up with a very sore back. I am unsure if the beds are still less than adequate, and I don't anticipate accomplishing a staycation anytime soon to determine if anything improved, so my opinion on the beds may be slightly outdated for other guests. The gaming areas are suitable; I know there will always be one or two machines that people will wish that certain properties would have, but this casino has a legitimate amount. I know this game isn't as popular, but I do wish that this casino had the Let It Ride table game. This game is/was one of my favorites, but I don't think it received that long-term popularity. The slot techs in this casino are awesome - I don't think I ever came across any slot tech that I can't stand. Most, if not all of them are personable which is appreciative at times...this also includes majority of the casino hosts that I had the pleasure to talk to. The restaurants and other entertainment areas on this property are great - see my Google reviews for some of the businesses. I am glad that the food court received a little updating to its choices and a remodeling to a couple of fast food places. Also, there's been some significant updates to the property with respect to their poker room and night club (Stoney's North Forty) - both look very nice. I also got a glimpse of a new room (old poker room) that is still under construction and it looks great so far...can't wait to see the final product. One of my biggest complaints of coming here are the parking areas...specifically, as you leave the North-end VIP parking lot area. There's 2 cross traffic stop signs that majority of people DO NOT stop (go figure with this city), and it's a blinded corner which makes exiting the parking area like pit row in a NASCAR race at times. Also, the parking area in general is just horrible and tends to get congested with awful drivers. I feel that the layout could be more efficient and safer for customers/guests. Overall, I enjoy this property - between the theaters, Charcoal Room, food court area, or simply playing the machines, it's definitely worth the visit. If you've never been to this property before, definitely check it out. And personally, I enjoy Station's rewards program over majority of other rewards programs in this city.

We stayed at the Santa Fe Hotel for eight nights. The rooms were clean and roomy. The beds were not comfy in the room I stayed. The left side of the bed made you roll so you had to sleep to the right. The sheets were really rough and needed fabric softener. We had maid service most days. Some days we got new towels and some days we didn’t. More than once we had to ask. We usually reuse our towels, but there was nowhere to hang them in the bathroom. If you do not like the smell of smoke, there is no way around it because the hotel is connected to the casino. The biggest problem I had during our stay was the noise. People came all hours of the night. They ran down the halls, talked loudly, and slammed doors. I know this is not something the hotel can control. Elevator issues either. Almost everyday an elevator was broke down. The hotel rooms could use more insulation. Beware of hotel resort fees. They were about $34 a night. The total cost for two rooms for eight nights was around $3,500 or $221 a night. Everything in the hotel was not terrible. It has a movie theater and bowling alley attached. Both are nice. There are a lot of restaurant options to choose. The hotel pool is nice. There is a hot tub and lounge chairs. It is a little walk from the hotel and you need to go outside to get to it. I also visited the gym. It was nice. Overall, I was disappointed in our stay. Maybe I was expecting too much. I’ve stayed at two-star hotels that I enjoyed more and spent far less money.

There is security throughout the hotel, casino, parking garage, etc.

Food & drinks
The hotel has fast food options, such as Starbucks, Panda Express, Wingstop, Fatburger, Capriotti’s and a chrome custard place. We ate at the Brass Fork and Leticia’s Cocina. The service was great at both. They are a little pricy.

There are illegally rigged slot machines all over this sleazy place. They have video poker machines that actually say they pay back 99.8% of the money you put in with optimal play, and others that even say they pay back over 100%. That means in the long run, if you put $1000 in the machine, you'll be losing $2. This is demonstrably false as soon as you start playing. They just steal all of your money and give none of it back. You can lose $500 playing dime machines. That's not 99%. And I know how to play. I've studied the mathematically optimal strategies for these games. Even if I was playing horribly, how can you justify the machine taking hundreds when it's supposed to take only 0.2% of your money? It's a joke. And every time I or anyone else I know has played those machines, it's been the same result. it's also worse when you go up in the limits. It's much easier to get decent hands with dimes than it is on 50c and $1. The real payout on dimes is about 25%, but the payout on the higher denominations is more like 5-10%. You barely win a hand. This is totally illegal. You're not allowed to manipulate the play itself. You're only allowed to manipulate the paytables. And you're also not allowed to lie about the payouts. The Gaming Control Board obviously allows it, probably being paid off in one way or another, but regardless, it's criminal.

This was my first time staying here and honestly I liked it. I liked it a lot the rooms were clean customer service was excellent. But When I got home I noticed my perfume bottle was half empty. They have the nerve to bring in a refillable perfume bottle and take half of my bottle of Perfume. One hundred and billion percent they stole from me. They are not going to get away with this that is so wrong. For them to even go in my things my bottle was Inside my makeup bag sitting on the sink open so That means they went in my bag. took my perfume filled up their bottle and left mine practically empty. I put it do not disturb sign on my door and they still came in. I do not recommend anybody staying at this casino. And if you do lock up your things housekeeping has very sticky fingers. I was in room 327. It's was under my husband's name . Noel Cabadas. Someone better contact me to resolve this issue

I cannot describe how pleasantly surprised I was this trip! My husband and I have been staying at different station casinos for the last 25 years. We have stayed at the Santa Fe the last couple of visits due to location and the shutting down of other casinos. The rooms were the cleanest I have ever seen, smell was perfect! Did not smell like cigarettes the whole trip(I just quit in May after 32 years, super sensitive to the smell ). The staff from valet , front desk, housekeeping, operators on the phone, Starbucks , cafe, keno, bingo, sports book, cashiers….everyone went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. And we felt welcome! I do not leave reviews. I have shared this in 3 different spots.

My stay at the Santa Fe Hotel and Casino was a highly disappointing experience, and I strongly advise against staying here. The staff demonstrated a complete lack of consideration and respect towards guests, with not a single employee offering a smile or saying thank you, despite my repeated tipping for drink services. The thin walls in the hotel room made for a noisy and unpleasant environment, disrupting my sleep. Moreover, when I accidentally left a suit coat behind and requested it to be shipped to me, I was shocked to receive an exorbitant $700 fee months later. Why was I charged so much when the item arrived in a cut-up, barely taped toilet paper box? It's crucial to closely monitor your charges even after your stay, as this hotel has shown a tendency for unreasonable fees and subpar service. Save yourself the frustration and avoid the Santa Fe Hotel and Casino.

The only good thing about this place was the location close to hiway. I only stayed in the hotel room and did not use the casino due to road trip and thought this would be a fun stopover. The room pillows stunk like cigarette smoke; the barn door bathroom slider was horrible and the toilet was SO CLOSE to the vanity, you couldn't use it so had to remove the TP from the roller and set on the vanity; there only two towels for a two bed room. There was no coffee service in the room, you have to pay extra $10 for it. I asked for coffee service online, but it didn't happen. Checkin service horrible; no explanation how to use key to just get the elevator doors to open. Room was nice and roomy but those pillows, ugh! Have to use the room key card just to open the elevator but the check-in lady didn't tell me that and didn't offer any additional services, LIKE COFFEE.

Upon my arrival to this casino which is NOT on the strip (downtown), it has 2 entrances but only one is the Hotel entrance (confusing). Once getting the car parked on their free valet service and entering the casino, we were instantly created with the step g oder of Tobacco and after checking in the smell became even more pronounced as.the elevators seem to be right on theide of the strong oder Once inside the room the wall s are paper thin and we could everyone and anyone coming down the hallway with the winning or losing story. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in and the bedding was paper thin and abrasive We were there for a family funeral (stayed 2 nites) and our other family members had the same experience We could not wait to check out

Fun place with some great dining options but in need of a more updated look. Still overall a great place. Update- they have made some updates and are in the process of doing more. Improvements are coming but slowly. Sadly, since COVID, they have discontinued their military recognition programs and no longer offer any special support for military or Veterans. The buffet also appears to be permanently discontinued. This apparently is the same at all Station Casino properties. Update- added Stoney's Country bar and Stallone’s Italian eatery which are great additions, but unfortunately, still no recognition of military Veterans service. Sadly, it appears that was only a temporary fad of the past.

Safety
Park in the parking garage. I used to live across the 95 at the gold course for a few years. The outside parking near the big Sante Fe sign, you need to use a crosswalk to access the property. It's on a slight bend so line of sight is limited. Can be scary for both pedestrian and Autos.

Loved this place. It was a normal casino crowd and not overly smoked out or crowded. Decent pots, didn't really see any winners or anything majorly big. It's more local than buzz-worthy. If you're a once in a while or lazy gambler like me. It's chill.

The only good thing about this place is the Santa Fe Lanes bowling alley, movie theatre, and arcade + staying here in a room.. I know this is a casino but a thing to know is you can never win. It’s highly unlikely you can win lots of money and this is a bad way of wasting your money on this stupid casino. It’s hard to believe they demolished the Fiesta and Texas station instead of this place . I lost some of my money here, and I would recommended just spending your fun going bowling with your family! It’s better to spend your money that way

The only thing this place has going for it is a movie theater and clean rooms. Beyond that, charging for a "resort fee" here should be a crime, the pictures they have do not match real life, it's false advertising. Their pool is a kiddie bath tub and embarrassing. Food options are not great, the arcade is the size of a large closet and the bowling alley is pure misery, everything is antiquated and disappointing. We were attempting a staycation and would never recommend this place to anyone.

This is a great place to visit, especially if you love the fragrant aromas of burnt tobacco. While I was only there for two days, I found that I was constantly fighting my asthma when not in my room. The decor is aged, and they're still using mag strip cards, but they have decent wifi and the TV'S are good. I ate at the Mexican cantina, and it was fabulous. The wait staff was some of the most attentive I've had in a long time.

Santa Fe is the lone survivor of the stations properties on Rancho. Thry are adding a new restaurant as of this writing, thry are renovating some of thr inside. The brass fork is a good place to get some food when your taking a gambling break, or if your a local and just want somewhere new to eat. Bowling is great here, thay have live bands, and also some quick bite options for food as well. They just Installed video craps, it's fun, at leat you still throw dice, you miss out on putting chips down, but you can bet at. Low as $1

So dirty and smelly. Almost every chair has a stain or burn hole in them. Machines are sticky and covered in ashes. Never really see anyone cleaning. Seems like they cut way back on staff and tightened up the machines. They are not for locals anymore and your points expire. Have silly gimmicks online and apps that never work. So sad and unfortunate considering all the competition in the area. Look at the vents in any room and tell me that's clean! So gross. Station Casinos got so greedy it's trying to pay for the new one.

If the bed wasn't so comfortable I wouldn't even leave a review. I was only there for a few hours so an honest review would be hard to do. The bed though! The bed was as comfortable as any Ritz Carlton I've stayed at and that's a huge task. No one at the front desk at 3am. Took 10 minutes to check in. Not the friendliest people either but that could be the time of day I guess.

We took the kids bowling. There are no signs directing you to the bowling alley so we parked and had to go through the Casino were smoking is allowed. The cigarette smoke bothers me and I had to walk a little distance to get to the bowling area is my only complaint. Unless you've been there before you don't know where to find the parking area for bowling because there are no signs that direct you to it. Mt daughter drove around until she found the parking lot so I didn't have to go back through the smoky Casino. We had fun and their fries are delicious!

We have stayed here a few times because it is close to our family that live there a few miles away. We were treated awful our most recent visit. Casino hosts are a joke and never respond. Their “resort” credits they offer only include the fancy restaurants not Starbucks or the food court area. But at other station casinos it does include the food court. I would rather stay at GVR, and drive up to north Vegas everyday than stay at Santa Fe again. The servers on the casino floor are always nice.

They got fat burger, which is o, this is my favorite place to go when I feel like losing all my life savings in a year. The casino has like a hex on it or something where you walk in and you can’t leave. I don’t know how to explain it, but I guess we can say it’s a love-hate relationship…

I will probably be gambling here more often as it has in some ways become preferable to Red Rock to me. It turns out this is 5-10 minutes closer to where I live, and is on my new work commute to the new office location. The facilities are older, but it is packed full of good games and good odds from what I could see on video poker and blackjack. I also really enjoyed the food I had here, and service was much quicker than I am used to at Red Rock. I will be back soon!

The poor air quality in this casino should be illegal. When we left today, my spouse said her nose was burning. My lungs felt like they were burning. The air quality has deteriorated further since the new high roller room was plopped in the middle of the place. As soon as you walk in any of the doors, the cigarette smoke and smell floors you. Santa Fe is good about having abundant new slots, but you're literally killing yourself when venturing in to play them.

  • Jocelyn

Haven't been on a Tuesday before. Went in for bowling and some changes have been made in the bowling center. Not yet sure if I like them. New people on the desk, not sure but a price increase, and asked to give my email address so my email will be assulted with information I don,t want. This is optional, but why ask. Different way of keeping score, hard to explain you would need to go in and see for yourself. Had lunch and Sandy was great and suggested items.

Great local vibe, my family lives nearby, so Santa Fe is our go to place for casual gambling and fun. I must say, Cyrena in the gift shop is always delightful and bubbly! When there are no customers, you will always see her stocking and cleaning, and when you enter, Cyrene greets you with a sincere smile and eagerness to help you find what you need!

There isn't too much to get excited about. It's an OK place. The rooms are OK but the beds are so low to the floor that there's no concern if you fall out of bed. The bathroom is squishy and the toilet it so low that if your quads aren't in decent shape you'll never get up. The toilet paper is basically located under your arm pit so in addition to the quad workout you'll get some yoga in too.

Went bowling for my son's birthday. They need more combo deals on the food. Wasn't crowded at all on a Sunday which was great. The lane my son and friends were playing on shut off during the middle of their second game and I was not happy that we had to spend extra money to reinstate that game after we paid for 2 lanes already, and an abundance of food..Plus we didn't have all the bowlers we paid for. We did have a nice time other than that.

Bowling Alley, Movie Theater and more! This place is like Chuck E. Chesse for adults!!! My favorite part was the Oyster Bar just like Palace Station except better because there's no wait! The Santa Fe Casino not only offers slots and video poker, but also has a variety of different restaurants. It also offers the opportunity for bowling or a visit to the cinema. Didn't win Jack but I still love the Santa fe. The rooms are definitely over priced. And the service charge is crazy stupid since all they provide you with is buy 1 get 1 free game of bowling.

I was looking for a regular poker machine but everything we found was some kind of bonus poker (whatever that means) or Dueces Wild, Triple Poker, etc. I wish they had some basic games.

This is our favorite hotel casino in Vegas. Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the other casinos. Super clean rooms and services. Our biggest wins at the slot machines yet. Check this one out.

The casino seems clean, Went bowling just don’t like how the machine kept stopping and getting stuck and how they close so early on weekends I think it should be extended to a later time. Also the food is overpriced.

If you like to play the machines in a more quiet place then this is your place. A bit far from the strip but it has what I need to have a good time.

Since reopening after the Covid shutdown, the players' club has been redone. It used to be every dollar in a slot earned one point. Now it two dollars to earn one point. It used to be 3 times points every day. That's gone. They used to have

The casino is Ran down and the staff are very ghetto and unprofessional! I can’t speak on the situation because my lawyer said not to but I wouldn’t recommend this casino to a dead cat

Hotel Room: The room itself is large enough and clean. But the washroom is very small and cramped and dated. The toilet was squeezed tightly between the tub and the sink vanity, that I bruised my arm on the sharp corner of the vanity

Went to Oyster Bar today for lunch. The clam chowder was very good. The fish and chips were a little too greasy for me. But it was 11AM. They are probably perfect late at night

I love going to stations casinos, we are treated like they appreciate us, and we win whether we walk out with money is on us.. but if you want to be treated nice. Stations casinos are the place I would go
