I won’t be back. I went earlier in the afternoon for 15% Tuesday, but was there spent an hour and a half trying to figure out what to buy since everything I was planning on getting was out of stock. Then finally at the till, an item I chose because of the offers I loaded was not ringing at the advertised price, AND my offer was not applied. I showed multiple times that it was loaded on my card, I had been logged in prior to check out, and had loaded it already the day before. A couple loaded offers a my account showed up but not that one. There was no resolution and I just left the items and paid for the rest. It’s not the first time that load my offers hasn’t worked. This trip was just a make a waste of time, and the location had so little stock. So now I need to go grocery shopping again somewhere else, Ill remember not to come back here. Maybe this location has better days, but Save on Foods doesn’t feel like it used to.

This review is specific to the bakery and not the store as an entirety. A few months ago, we came in to pre order a cake for my daughter's third birthday. She flipped through their book and picked out a Spongebob themed design. The staff member started taking our order down on the form and we mentioned using the design and pointed it out in the book. He asked if we had any other requests, we told him we wanted it to have custard filling. We show up a few days later with a very excited toddler to a cake that wasn't what we ordered...no spongebob design or anything and all, it was a cake that looked to be more suited to an adult or for a staff party. All they did was take 10% off. The cake itself was so heavily frosted, had the thinnest layer of custard and overall way too sweet. My daughter was incredibly disappointed.

This store used to be pretty good, but the last few times I've been here, something has gone wrong. The turkey sandwich I got from the deli had a long brown hair in it. The chicken salad from the deli had a chunk of chicken bone in it. The produce section had spilled veggies on the floor that had been trampled and just shoved out of the way. The grocery pickers for curbside have forgotten meat items on my list twice, and I've been told that something is "out of stock" just to go back into the store myself three minutes later looking for a replacement, only to find the shelf full of the item I needed. This store has certainly gone down hill in the last 3 months.

Watch the grocery prices if you order online for home delivery. A senior relative ended up with an over $16 six pack of 500-ish ml bottles of soda pop (see photos), and can't return them. My relative (wearing new glasses) thought it was $6 something. Not $16 something. Even convenience stores offer a better price than that. Many prices are out of touch with reality at this store (for delivery). I realize "costs have gone up everywhere", but mountain dew has been / is less than half this price at other grocery stores. Same with several products, from laundry detergent and wipes to juices and hand lotion: half the price or less than at save-on.

I absolutely like this Save-On. They're always well stocked. They have an awesome selection in their bakery area of breads and pastries. They have excellent standards in their produce, always fresh, clean and a good selection. The staff are super nice, friendly and most helpful. I really enjoy going here cause I always find what I'm looking for and they do have some good sales on items I normally get. I went around noon on a weekday, didn't wait in line to get in and didn't wait in line for a cashier. They also have some wonderful packaged meals and freshly made. Ample parking also and the store is always very clean and we'll kept.

Stay away from this store! Besides the fact that their prices are outrageous (more expensive than others), they will not return the $10 “deposits” that they charged us for three of their 18 litre spring water bottles; If you decide you want to go elsewhere and not pay their outrageous price for water anymore. Instead they tell you that you will need to return it to the bottle depot, in which case you will get 25 cents for it. Seems like a pretty pathetic way of trying to force people to buy water from them, no matter how much they jack the price for the water up there :( THEY JUST LOST OUR BUSINESS

I phoned and was “transferred” to another department. I sat on hold for almost 10 mins listening to the phone ring continually. I can appreciate it being too busy for someone in a department to answer, but customer service should come back and follow up, not just leave you dangling there. I eventually hung up and called again. Went through the same process the 2nd time, holding for over 10 mins and eventually giving up. Disappointing when other Save-on-Foods locations manage to answer their phone and properly close the loop on a customer interaction.

Overpriced and you "Save On" nothing. Membership perks that give you fake savings by inflating their prices by 15-20% then reducing it to the competition's everyday regular price....don't fall for it. This place preys on the very young and elderly who don't know any better. Who pays 7.99 for a 12 pack of pop or 5.49 for a bottle of keg salad dressing(they're 2 for 5 buck's at Walmart everyday). Not coming back and hopefully Save On will price itself out of the market and close it's doors for good for taking advantage of people.

The bakery staffs are very careless. I ordered spider-man themed cake for my baby’s birthday, when I went to pick they just wrote happy birthday on plane white cake which is annoying. Their carelessness spoiled my function. This is not one time incident; even last year on same occasion I had similar experience with them. I ordered cake but next day when I went to pick they forgot to make it. This place is full of annoying staff. I really do not recommend this place specially the bakery.

Usually my experience is good. I have been going multiple times a week to this location. Today was not a good experience. There was a promo in the meat counter, and when I asked for it, I was told no. Than when I asked to see a manager the person who was not helping me went talked to the manager for 5 mins and came back to tell me it's a part of a different promo and I can have the deal if I still want it. I didn't buy any meat and will be avoiding this store for a while.

5 STARS to Angie at meat department (Apr 21 1800PM) who went above and beyond in customer care and customer service. She was doing inventory far away from meat counter when she saw a curious customer waiting. She immediately rushed to help the customer, was extremely polite and professional in answering questions, packaging meat very carefully. Very pleasant experience. Such employees make this store stand out from the rest.

This location is very organized and easy to navigate. If you are lost or looking for something, staff has always asked if I've needed assistance, which is very nice. The staff are always friendly and willing to help, in my experience at least! The produce is almost always the best I have seen and always tastes delicious. A little more pricey, but the quality is definitely worth it. The rewards program is a bonus, as well!

  • David Aschenmeier

My favorite supermarket! The best produce, a great deli, decent bakery, but the best thing: the staff. They are all happy and helpful and actually know where to find things in the store, AND are willing to take you there. Cheers to the manager. I have never had to fight crowds here.

  • Edouard Davlatian

This place is on the pricey side unless you have the rewards membership, and even then most of the time you can probably find things cheaper at other stores. They do have a good selection of dairy products that some bigger stores don't. The store is usually clean and organized well.

  • Ken P.

Good selection, though only one staff member at the front to handle the one check out till, all the self check and customer service. Come on, staff shortages be damned, that's just poor planning on store management. The staffer was doing her best, but she was definitely stressed.

  • Jaylene Flom

Their security guards consistently watch every move I make and I am non white. Do they really need to stare at me in my eyes while I pick out a gift? I dread occasionally stopping by here and I live close by. Guess I'll just deal with being racially profiled!

  • Mujo Personal

I would highly recommend checking expiry dates on products a lot of stuff is expired. Also why do they even have a self-checkout if they make you wait in line at the customer service desk just to buy a bag, why would the bags not be at the self-checkout.

  • Matthew

Good place to go on a rush, slightly on the pricey side but still is my go to place because it's on my route.. Some people on the reviews commented that customer service needed work, but I never was mistreated and even thought that they were friendly..

  • Brady Coene

Please have someone working the self checkout if you're not going go have enough lanes open for people to buy their groceries. Got tired of having to track down a worker myself to authorize my purchases. Managers need to step up or hire more people.

  • JoeAnn Kendell

The store is well organized and you can find things so easily. The store is very clean, the staff are very helpful and they always great you with a smile. The first Tuesday of every month is 15% off your order if you have a more card. Great savings

  • Andy Comeau

Always pleased with the service here. The bathrooms could use a little more TLC, but overall great grocery store. I always go to one young girls register, Dianne? I believe.. she's always polite, smiling and easily the fastest cash there. Thanks

First time going here and I was shocked, the products here are so fresh and properly taken care of. The professionalism among the workers is very astounding. Some of the products are quite expensive compared to other major supermarkets but

The selection is pretty good and prices not the worst if on sale, but in light of the pandemic it's not worth it to go there anymore. It is not clean enough. No sanitizing stations for hands. Carts are not marked as sanitized. The worker's

Store is great. Only negative is they don't seem to be policing people who aren't wearing masks. Lady in there talking on phone with mask around her chin getting in everyone's way. Staff just casually walking by. Waited to see if any of

Sat at the self check out for 26 minutes and no one would help me as I had an item that wouldn’t ring through. Manager and lady at the front both ignored me. Called to complain but there was no manager in store, and the “acting manager”

I went last week for the first time. For a grocery chain that is is generally more expensive and poorer quality than others, I was really impressed. Peppers were very cheap and in such great shape, as were the radishes, apples, and the

I usually shop from this location. I really like their cakes and deli's fresh products. I really wanna share that there is a cashier who is really polite. Her name is Vani, always ready to help. Always smiling. She is the best cashier.

So SaveOn says they do price match. That is a joke. Here are their crazy way to ensure you definitely don't pay less. You have to show them a flyer ex. Walmart...so I proceed to bring it up online...Savon staff " no it can't be on the

Highly disappointed customer service at the self check out area. Team member Winnie is an unprofessional way of communicating with the customers. Suggest to keep professional staff around the customer service desk and check out areas.

I think the staff at this location are wonderful! It is a warm, welcoming, and clean location. I can feel relaxed as I shop, which is appreciated. They always have great music playing, too!

Zachary is such a pleasant person. Always friendly, always helpful, and actually brings a wonderful personality to the front of house. Thank you Zachary!

  • Susan Rettaler

The most expensive of the large grocery chains in my opinion. I found an item that I usually buy at Sobeys was $1.30 higher at Save On. Absurd !!!

Overpriced and understaffed. Everything is terribly expensive, even by modern inflation standards.
