What a delicious experience! As newbies to Indian/ Nepalese cuisine, I selected Savera based off an Uber Eats meal of Butter Chicken & Naan -Hands down best Butter Chicken in Melbourne! Thank you Anjana for your food recommendations! The Kashmiri lamb was lovely, Butter chicken as always is out of this world, Everest Momos, OMG! My new favourite! The Golden Prawns, Calamari & Fish Pakora were just gorgeous, as was the salad they sat on! Thank you Anjana, Aran & Ditya for making our dining at Savera a most pleasurable experience. The food was divine, the service exceptional, our minds and waistlines are blown!! We will definitely be back! PS: Biggest regret was not taking photos of our delicious food, our fault for devouring our food so fast! Update: 25/08/2023 Ordered Butter Chicken, Everest Momos, Coconut rice, garlic naan. This is a standard order for me as we have had many take out dinners from here, this time I remembered to take a photo! During our visit to Yarra valley we got to dine in here and I would say I am glad we chose this place to have dinner. It runs by a Napalese Family. We ordered Valley banquet and Mango lassi for two and we were really impressed with the food served. Food was freshly made by the owner and his brother if I am not wrong. Every single item in the menu was perfect. Mango lassi was without food colouring and too much sugar. It was Perfect as I don’t like my lassi very sweet and with yellow food colour. I ended up ordering one more lassi to take away. Personally, I felt like I am eating at home. Would like to come back incase we ever plan to come back to Yarra valley/Victoria. My partner and I went last night, and it was absolutely amazing! Definitely an experience to rave about! I've never been big on Indian food, but my partner loves it. We got there and the service was amazing, within 5 minutes the chef/owner was out to talk to us and he was more than happy to talk me through the menu and make me something special to work in with my allergies (gluten, diary & nuts). I left with the biggest food baby, it was just absolutely delicious food - even my partner was jealous of my food! The whole experience was at least a 12/10. My partner's so excited over the service that he's already planning on our next dinner date here. :) :)

Indian Restaurant with Authentic Indian Food Experiences like are the ones you remember for a long time. Went on Valentine's day, pretty busy. Got seated real quick though the food takes awhile. But again its worth the wait. Also whats the hurry if you have gone to sit n enjoy your food. The portion size was great. Food was delicious. The nans werent very oily, which I absolutely loved. We ordered veg as it was Ash wednesday. Would definitely go back to try non veg. The chef & owner later came out , we had quite a chat about the food, the restaurant , his work experience and the homemade species he uses cook. Would totally recommend this place!

Yep, what a gem of a place! Indian is my go-to for dinner... after reading other reviews, I had to try it for myself - wow, very impressed - I ordered my fave/usual dish Beef Vindaloo & my girl had Dal Makhani (Vegan) - she said it was delish! The Vindaloo was full of flavour & the meat was extremely tender - almost melted in my mouth. Yum... my only criticism was the lack of heat/spice, just needs to go up a couple of notches but that's just me - will definitely be back! **UPDATE: Have been back several times - my Vindaloo has been very inconsistent each time - if I got it the same as the first time, I would be very, very happy

Date/time of visit: 8 June 2022 approx 7:30pm This was our third time visiting this restaurant. We love the dumplings with the curry dipping sauce. The vindaloo had good heat and excellent flavour. The chicken tandoori was also enjoyed. Some prices might seem a little on the high side but the flavour and cooking quality is there (especially the dumplings - we always order the dumplings). But overall we paid $58, which is about average for us for any takeaway meals. It's one of the best Indian/Nepalese we've experience in the area (Ringwood East to Lilydale).

We had a wonderful time at this Indian and Nepalese restaurant in Lilydale last night. It is managed and staffed by a very friendly warm and hospitable Indian family. Dad is the chef and he cooked us a beautiful Kashmiri lamb and beef Madras. His son and two daughters gave us very attentive service and are a credit to their father. The serving sizes were very generous and the prices are excellent value for money, main courses are less than $17.50 and a glass of quality wine for $6.00. Do yourself a favour and put this restaurant on your list to try, you will be sure to make it a regular favourite once you do. Peter and Jenny Rogers.

The best Indian in Melbourne. We stumbled on this restaurant about a year ago and have not had better Indian in Melbourne. The food is sensational, and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly. The samosas are made in house and are flavourful and flaky. We often get the Madras and Vindaloo dishes, but have had most of the curries on the menu. Having travelled through India I can say these are the best samosas I’ve had outside of India, and all of their food stacks up incredibly well to the cultural capital. A wonderful and warm atmosphere with very reasonable prices, we can’t recommend this family restaurant enough.

WOW! Ordered takeaway last night and it was truly delicious, everything was so flavourful! Lamb Rogan Josh was DIVINE, garlic and cheese naan perfect, Vindaloo not crazy spicy.. absolutely cannot fault the food. I did order online and the live update said 35 minutes however it ended up being over an hour, they were extremely busy though and very apologetic about the wait time. It was 100% worth such a long wait though. Will be back very soon!

We’ve only had takeaway from this restaurant and that is more than enough to write this very positive write-up. We’ve had a variety of meat and veggie dishes and they all amaze the senses. This place is honestly the best Indian I've had in Melbourne. Absolutely incredible. I used to live in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and the Indian food there was good, but since moving out east, I found this little place and it's just down the road! Wow, authentic and delicious Indian and Nepalese food and incredible service. We were warmly greeted by Anjali who was such a delight – the perfect host. And her dad was the “chef” of the night – we shared a range of curries – all incredible. We shared all of the curries which were: spinach beef, rogan josh, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and a traditional goat curry – served with garlic naan and rice. Yum ! Totally, totally delicious and each with their unique flavours and spices .

Have been going to Savera for a few years now and can never fault their food. Always delicious, simultaneously leaving you wanting more and feeling very full! Recently had a booking of 19 people and the service from the 2 waitresses was amazing! All the dishes we ordered (and it was a lot!) came out within 5 minutes from the first to the last. Would highly recommend as a regular place to get a great Indian meal!

Visiting Lilydale to see my folks and had a hankering for an Indian meal. I was not disappointed. Superb meal. This restaurant is absolutely magnificent. Ordered for take away butter chicken, white rice and 2x naan bread. Naan bread were enormous, very generous portions for the main and came out piping hot as well. The young lady at front of house was very friendly & even brought my food outside to me as I was on my phone. Pricing is VERY reasonable, great quality ingredients & sublime flavours. I'll be returning frequently as well as recommending Savera to everyone I know.

My Lord. How can I describe this experience? It was sensual. Without a doubt the best Indian and Nepalese food I have ever had. It had love and so much of it. The bar has been set high. Real high. I don't believe I'll have to go to any other Indian or Nepalese restaurant ever again. Tgis place is simply the best. I am looking forward to working my way through this menu. Tried the Matar paneer, lamb cutlets and the Goat madras. Naans were fresh, beautifully buttered and tasty as were all the curries we tried. Very helpful staff and I asked the Goat curry to be made spicy and it totally was (don't get that a lot on indoan restaurants) Good food and nice staff. Definitely will be going here again. 5 stars for service and quality of food. Just before Christmas, a mate of mine, his mobility impaired daughter, and myself rocked up for dinner. I had pre-booked. Phone manner was excellent, and they had set up a table for us so that the wheelchair access was excellent. They were attentive, friendly, and the food was excellent. Standout dishes to me were a goat curry and the Paneer Spinach, but it was all great!

My favourite place for Indian food! Spent a couple weeks in several parts of India, the food here definitely reminds me of my trip. Love the butter chicken, spinach cheese naan and mango lassi. Best momos in town and the dip is so yum. Service is exceptional and would recommend the dine in experience. Curries tasted flavourful. Biriyani was oily and wasn’t served with raitha. Only on the bill got to know raitha was charged separately, was under the assumption biriyani is always served with raitha or atleast this has been my experience so far.

Best all round experience I’ve had with a restaurant in a while. My partner is anaphylactic to nuts and they went above and beyond to assure us they could provide us with a nut free meal. This a great informal but nice restaurant. Quality regional cuisine, wine list and byo, child friendly, neat rest rooms. The staff are lovely and work to create a cozy relaxed environment that is easy and chilled. Easy parking, close to Lilydale railway station. Give this a go, I just have been enjoying this place for years.

Hands down the best Indian resturant within 20 mins of Montrose. Savera is in my top 3 indian resturants in Melbourne. Goat curry was very tasty with lots of fresh herbs. Garlic naan was covered with deligious garlic paste and the bread was light and fluffy. Can't wait to try more items from the menu!

I love dining here. The food is tasty and authentic. I lived in Nepal and I love coming back and reminiscing, looking at the beautiful photos on the walls, who's ochre colour gives the place a warm ambiance. One of the best indian restaurants in Melbourne I have been to. The taste of the food, the service staff, and the ambience.. everything was just excellent. I highly recommend to try atleast once and you won't regret

So yummy we enjoyed every bite from this lovely family owned and run restaurant. You can smell the spices from outside! The dishes are all appetizing and we ordered 5 between the two of us (nothing left!) …

Butter chicken and momos were average but daal and bread was good. Also I could barely see any beetroot in beetroot salad.

Food is still great but takeout times seem like they make the food after you arrive and pay for it. Also last 2 times they have given me the wrong dish. Time to look for something new.

One of my favourite place to go. The meal and drinks are always good. Mango lassi, Momo, Traditional chicken curry, Naan and Masala tea are my likings.
