I went to the branch in person to transfer money to a bank account in Europe. Upon request from the rep I wrote down all the required information, which she then entered into their system. The rep then printed the info out for my review. The printout included over 10 errors, including incorrect bank account number, which the rep blamed on my writing. I marked the errors on the paper with corrections, and the rep re-entered the info. Another printout showed some of the same errors plus some new ones, including (this time different) error in the account number. At that point I asked for a different rep, to which she responded with some attitude and said that I can go to a different rep and start from scratch. To make long story short, after wasting four sheets of paper and almost an hour of my time, the rep managed, with assistance of a supervisor, to eliminate all the errors. The rather poor experience at the branch today was unfortunate, but otherwise I've been happy with Scotiabank overall.

Eric Lee - a financial advisor at this branch is completely incompetent to do his job. He just simply forward email from one source to his client without explaining. He does not have a will to assist his clients. Furthermore, he did not clearly communicate and inform the promotion/product/service well enough for his clients, getting me confused too many times. This severely impacts my impression of Scotiabank as a brand. My positive impression of Scotiabank collapses when dealing with this guy Strongly recommend to switch to another representative if you are assigned to deal with him

Terrible service and huge lack of knowledge on the teller's part. I went here to deposit a disability cheque. DISABILITY, from the Ontario government. The teller took the cheque, deposited it, and told me there were no issues, problems, or anything of the sort. Little did I know, there was a 5 day hold put on this for some reason and nobody told me! I specifically went to the branch so that this wouldn't happen! Absolutely awful service, huge waste of a trip for myself and now Scotiabank customer service on the phone will not help me. If I could make this zero stars, I would.

Horrible customer service. If I could give zero stars I would. I went in to withdraw MY MONEY from MY bank account and the teller told me she could not give me MY money in cash. She had the audacity to ask me what the money was for! Like that was ANY of her business! Don't waste your time at this bank. I had to leave to go to another branch to ACCESS MY OWN money. Ridiculous. If this is the way Scotiabank treats people for the priveledge of holding MY money and charging me service fees I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Brought my estate draft in from my father’s estate. They called to verify it, released the hold, then the manager ran over to put the hold back on. The branch manager is curt both with employees and with customers. Forced to call my home branch who also refused to help me. Last straw. Pulling my accounts with scotiabank. This has been an on going problem of skyrocketing fees and plummeting customer service, since 2019. These people don’t deserve my money or business. I’ll invest elsewhere, thanks.

Service is so bad it's shocking. Reps don't respond to phone calls, don't care about your needs, miss appointments, neglect to respond to emails, very slow to process anything, and terrible communicators. I can't imagine an institution with worse service. I deeply regret ever doing business here and am working on getting out. Avoid at all costs.

Asks the clerk to open a bank account, gives my driver license and another bank card, tells me can’t use another bank and need passport or birth certificate. Understand. Goes home search online, finds out all I need is a driver license and bank card. Waste of my time, please train your staff appropriately.

The new building is really nice. The staff are extremely helpful. I was assisted as soon as I walked in the door, and they really took their time with me. Gave me all the information I needed and then some!
