If I can put the 0 star I would do it then. We opened an account on March 2022 and was advised to follow the instructions to earn bonus welcome. Because of the first time doing it, we have called and asked for instructions, after doing everything and wait for 5 months later, we got nothing from the bank. Feeling something wrong so we called back to confirm, 10 more calls and the only thing we received is YOU ARE QUALIFIED AND JUST NEED TO WAIT, we was saying okay and keep waiting until 4 months more went by, nothing came. Again, we called and requested to talk with the manager, we asked her to listen to the recording between us. After listening, the manager confirmed us that this is the mistake of their agent because telling us we are qualified and she said she will push the request for us to get the bonus and we need to wait for maximum 2 weeks. Again, 2 more weeks came by and we called to confirm, they said we are not qualified and try to kick the ball. We are very Disappointed with Scotiabank and going to quit using their service. Think carefully when you decide to use any service not only here but all the branches of Scotiabank.
The Service isn't good at all. They have the worst hours possible for someone that has a job, and when you try to contact someone to make an appointment you have to go through the dumb voice. This system has very limited options and you can;t get to where you want to without going through a long line of being bounced around on the phone!!! Just a simple question that would take someone at the branch 10 seconds to answer turns into a 30 minute phone bouncing back on forth phone call! I feel like closing all my accounts and moving it else where at this point. It never takes them this much time when i want to give them more money but when it comes to services with my money they don;t see, to have the human power or time to get back to you regarding that!
I’m living far away from this location and it’s my first time to have service here, but I have to admit that their customer service is top notch! I’ve been using Scotiabank for my personal purposes for years, and today I finally have a chance to open my small business and luckily got help from Siji Akinbobola. He is extremely helpful, friendly, and also gives me a clear and richly detailed on everything I needed to know. Not only that, the lady at front door is super nice as well. I came in without any appointment, and she immediately arranged the next available one for me (which only took about 5 minutes). I’m so happy to have my business account opened here, and would definitely recommend anyone to come here as well.
scotiabank has terrible customer service, terrible policies, have had eyes rolled at me for being upset for being locked out of my accounts more than 4 times due to scotiabank's awful security. I have had my personal info stolen such as my card #s, SS #, etc. I had loans taken out in my name which scotia refused to help with. thank god for the proper authorities and legal system, high fees and interest rates. have never been thankful to be part of scotia. also was nearly mugged in this specific location. so my opinion is to stay away and go somewhere that cares, not greedy, and is safe.
I visited the bank today with an appointment They assisted me very well and guided me. My issue was credit card payment option was missing in my application of Scotia App. John Ramos Helped me a lot in solving in my problem and issue was resolved. Proper precautions for covid also Maintaining proper distance between each person Proper Parking space Neat and clean area also There was no overcrowding and that’s good Automatic doors incase if you need You should visit the bank for your financial work and find better guidance.
Terrible branch with a very incompetent branch manager, Chris. They are constantly under staffed and the ones that do work here care very little about customer service. I had an issue with a large cheque that was deposited and couldn’t get a hold of anyone for over 2 hours when tried calling in. I had to return to the branch where I was told to wait for another 30 mins before anyone could help me. Clearly the branch manager has very little desire or ability to service the needs of people or motivate his staff.
I don't know how to give 0 star reviews and I never give rating to anyone but I had to for this one, both the guys are absolutely trash, extremely rude and don't know how to talk. I came here with an appointment and they still didn't have any time for me, I came from far to meet the Adrian some Russian guy and he had no idea what to do and was extremely rude and told me to wait and then didn't resolve anything and then told me to call the Scotiabank wow, like absolutely worthless Trash bank and service
This is the worst branch ever. I deposited money with their ATM the cash was not deposited into my account but instead gave me an error message to contact the bank. I have been in the branch for hours now and they are telling me to wait 5 to 7 business days. I can't wait that. Its the holidays and I need my money. And apparently the branch manager was too busy to hear me out. Update- I later saw Chis the branch manager who later helped in escalating my issue and sort things out by providing the funds.
We stood in line and waited for over 1 hour just to deposit a bank draft here. The speed is very slow and only 1 bank teller was working at the counter on a Wednesday’s afternoon. They took such a long time with each of the customers and seemed like there was no need to hurry. A new bank teller came and took 15 minutes just to login and set up his counter. This was the worst experience that I have had with banking in Toronto. Stay away from this branch or make sure you go to a bigger branch instead.
Went to the Home Branch to fix a problem with my Chequings Account. Not only was I been shamed but also the representatives made sure they didn't;t help me with fast efficiency and ask me to be patient. Also the Branch being closed on a Saturday is extremely inconvenient and disrespectful for their clients who need help from Home Branch related inquiries. NEVER EVER VISIT THIS LOCATION. (And I would not even give a star if it was possible)
Like any bank, sadly it depends on how much money you have to invest. The customer service has become much better over the years. It used to be horrible. They are hungrier for your investments so if you talk to an investment specialist, they know their stuff and are fair in creating a balanced line of credit and opening an investment portfolio that works with your budget like they did for me.
I'm with Scotiabank but I don't go to this bank or live anywhere near it. I tried to use my debit card today only to find out my account was closed by accident. I called scotia online and they told me an employee named Ashar Jigar? Closed the wrong account by mistake. Clearly their employees are not trained properly, or Scotiabank is just hiring incompetent individuals.
Worst customer service, especially the branch manager, Chris, lacking and unprofessional. Came in to the branch and asked to speak to the branch manager, was given a run around and was told manager unable to see me, without explanation why♀️ Asked if I can speak to someone else, was advised to come back another day. Never came back to this branch again !
My wife has a problem logging in online service after changing the new phone, she could not verify herself with a language barrier. We had to go to this Scotia branch and the associated officer named Jigar Ashar has helped us calling the main office and gone through the lengthy verification! It was the great service from the staff at this Scotia branch...
2 tellers were working while 7 customers were waiting in line. Then I saw 3 people peeking out from time to time. Finally more customers showed up and 1 teller decided to come for the rescue. Then another person showed up to supervise. I got served close to 1 hr after walking in. This branch needs to respect others' time!
I came here to get a bank draft and they started asking me bunch of irrelevant questions and asked me to bring extra documents. Then I went back with the documents and talked with a different teller and my task was completed in an instant. The first teller was rude as well. They just wasted my time.
I have been to this branch thrice. I have always been disappointed. The tellers are worse. They just don't put enough efforts to know your problem. I go to other branch with same problem, they solve it as it was nothing. But the people at this branch make you feel like you are in big trouble …
Worst customer service, Instead of helping the customer they ask you to go here and there and call customer care. In the end all places they recommended ask the customer to resolve with this branch. Its not the first time, it seems they are lazy to work.
My experience at the Bathurst Scotia was amazing , I am new to this bank formerly with TD and I do not regret my choice of change. As a young student I needed help and I got the exact solutions from the gentlemen Francise ,he was so kind
I have been with scotiabank for 10 years now and i can say today has been my most pleasant experience!! The lady who helped me was so knowledgeable and even recommended some resourceful changes with my account. Thank you so much Dee!!
I would like to thank Chris branch manager for reaching out to me to understand my reasoning for a negative review. He explained the situation very well and cleared the air which puts me at ease now to go there and do my business.
Slowest bank and their ATMs' never work properly. Never been to a bank that has this many people that don't know what they're doing. Staff and customers a like. Take it from me and do yourself a favour a find another branch
Siji Akinbobola, The small business account manger is Absolutely fantastic. He is so helpful and has strong customer service skills. He provides his services with a analytical mind. Very detail oriented.
Very poor service. The employees are very egoistic. Nobody is kind or helpful, they are very slow and helpless! I had to go 2-3 times for the same thing. They keep on giving excuses.
Terrible customer service and with a presence of discrimination at its finest. If you don’t show them how much money you have with them they treat you differently. Very disappointed.
The financial advisior helped me in setting up my account . His name is Paramasivam. He was very polite and cooperative and he knew what he was doing, helped me so much. Thank you!!
My home branch is Keele and Toro, the Branch Manager Chris is great! Very friendly service, it is a busy branch but I enjoy going when I need my banking to be done ever so often.
Good customer service. Just went for quick pick up and experience was good. Tellers are extremely friendly and nice people. Also, they do the donation drives, which is awesome.
Since it’s my home branch I came here to transfer my rrsp to my main account and 1 hr before closing these guys said we can’t help you for a 5 min job. Worst branch.
This branch is good very accessible for York village housing people. But their ATM doesn't work sometimes. Machines have problem. Good staff. Gentle people
There should be a zero star button for how badly run this branch is. No one ever picks up your call. When you go in they hardly ever resolve anything.
They are so helpful and look after problem even at their closing time. Thanks to manager and special thanks to Arni Saha, who look after my problem.
Only one ATM functions for withdrawals EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. Don't you have regular audits to correct this subpar service??
Online banking service , and even in branch we never get proper solutions. Always some excuse about any process
Hands down my favorite ScotiaBank in the city. The staff are just so helpful and are always very polite.
shout out to the asian lady that helped me so much thank you cant forget that and to all other staff!!
Unpleasant atmosphere. Please renovate, and add more ATM's. RBC has more Atms that are functional lol
ABMs managed poorly over weekends--often out of service and hours are too short. Very inconvenient
Worst scotia branch ever. Staff is too rude to talk. They never understand customers needs.
Extremely slow service. They like to keep customers waiting and sent respect their time.
Employees here are welcoming and friendly. Has two atms and is wheelchair accessible.
Lady was kind and helped me so fast, answered my questions kindly. Thanks again :)
Terrible branch, wait more than hour for 5 min job! I give zero star if I can.
Terrible! Long line with only 1 teller working at times, 2 at most!
The worst customer service. Take your money elsewhere
Orett Douglas. Horrible management Horrible Branch.
Bad customer service don’t recommend this bank
Good banking services, fast and helpful!
Slow service. Always a long wait in line
