"Nice place for a walk in the shallow water, plenty of whiting lurking in the knee deep parts"
Children's playground, Picnic Tables and benches with a view of Georges river and Taren Point bridge. The toilets are being renovated and are closed but two (2) Porta-loos are available. The council has workman renewing the fence seperating the picnic area from the beach. The park can be accessed by taking the last left turn before the bridge taking you past Saint George Sailing Club or from Doll's Point by following the bay towards the Taren Point Bridge. Toilet upgades have not been completed after a few weeks since our last visit but still a quiet and peaceful place for a picnic lunch midweek.
Such a different, better place to what I remember from my childhood. It used to have a soccer field there, but now, not only does it have toilets, playground & picnic facilities but also things of an environmental interest, including big fig & other trees providing good shade and the remediated tidal wetland & creek area complete with birdhide and interesting meadering pathways.
Playground
Great, well-shaded area for young kids.
Restrooms
Clean, tidy & regularly replenished with toilet paper & hand wash.
Fronting Botany Bay with a long beach front it caters for picnics, swimming ♂️ and jet skis. There are a couple of restaurants/clubs and a Cafe further down a nice walkway to the George's River sailing club . Dog friendly makes this area wonderful haven for bike riders and walkers alike. Nice place to take children to and also enjoy the water views. The water is across the road also with a few tables and benches along with a few gazebos. There is a few tables with benches and a public toilet on the park side. Plenty of
Nice place for a walk in the shallow water, plenty of whiting lurking in the knee deep parts. Kiss the Barista is a great place to eat when you're done plotting g around the beach.
Nice park with a kids playground and toilet facilities. Plenty of free parking as well. Across the road from the beach. There is a convenience store about 5 mins walk away.
I've been bringing my sons here since they were toddlers. Now teenagers we love having lunches at the park and a quick dip in the calm refreshing waters …
Very nice park for the kids, just be careful parking near the bus stops there are no signs indicating no parking you will get fined if parking there
This place is teaming with life, oyster clusters , schools of tiny fish , a lot of birds and the start of a Mangrove forest. It's nice and relaxing.
Stop for lunch in between work sites. Good place by the beach with sheltered picnic tables and toilets. Excuse I didn't take photos...
Beautiful place to visit, don't have to go for a swim, just a walk on the sand, or near the water, it will make you feel revitalised.
Small park with a children's playground. You'll probably not even notice it on your walk along the beach. Unless you have children.
Gentle sloping beach great for little ones. Some people use it for fishing. BBQ in the park area. Council are upgrading the area.
Awesome little beach hidden away. Perfect for partners who just want peace and quiet. Make sure you take your picnic basket.
Serene place to play n spend time wth kids ,plenty benches to sit and hv small tea/coffee breaks rather small meals
Best part of the beach is here especially when a low tide leaves metres of sand for the children to run around.
Feels like your in the country and not in the city. Great place to walk through and relax. Nature at its best!
Nice shallow beach where the kids can play in the water. Covered picnic tables and a tap for washing feet.
Good place for picnic, very near beach and toilet facility. Not crowded and great for kids to play
Be at peace by the bayside swimming, fishing or picnicking on one of the many table and chairs.
Wonderful, day we went it was very windy but found a place to keep out of the wind.
Kids love the play equipment and it's so nice across the road from a beach.
