UPDATE - 1 YEAR ON SECRET SHOPPERS NEEDED. Sadly management doesn't care. They didn't respond to my review or phone calls last year. Just one self-promoting "how did we do" survey. That was an online, paid in advance purchase. This time I decided to go unannounced. Today there were 5 staff members behind the counter laughing and joking. Fine. But.... They were laughing and joking at a remark made about a customer in a motorcycle helmet who's primary language wasn't English. Had this gentleman been of a visibly different ethnic background i would have reported the incident to the police as racist abuse. As he exited the shop more laughing by the staff and the man heard it. He returned and asked if any member would like to repeat their comment. All looked baffled (and embarrassed) and slightly afraid. None of the staff I saw looked older than 24. All behaved as though they were 13. Today Jaydn (i believe was his name) served me and was polite, helpful and efficient. I had not seen him in the group previously. I give 5 out of 5 for Jaydn (apologies if i have misread his name badge) i subtract 3 for the clowns and the management's inability and desire to resolve the problem. Last time I was here a similar group was gathered and playing. They had circumvented office computer security i guess. Grinning and laughing to each other over what the computer screen showed them. The redheaded child that served me obviously didn't want to. However, he looked up my online purchase number and then spent some time accosting workmates, laughing and pointing at the screen and saying "that's mine. I did that". Eventually he went to collect my order with a sigh, slapped it on the table. That was it. I got it home. It was incomplete. Perhaps not verifying customers get what they pay for is funny to him. The store's location and design is NOT MEANT for retail customers. Only trade who don't care about service - only price. B & Q is more expensive. But, not by much. They employ more mature, sensible polite staff. Plus they are less " off the beaten track" location wise. I suggest you repeat the first syllable of the company name and go elsewhere. I won't be back a third time.

Car park nightmare - about 3 other customers, no idea if all were driving but car park was full - presumably staff vehicles plus a few temporary constructions taking up what could be another 4-6 spaces. Everyone that left whole I was there was either on foot or outside the car park. Nearly got a parking ticket - beware there are "pay only" spaces hidden amongst resident spaces. Also, blisteringly hot day, spacious and air conditioned (or certainly cooler) inside, but had to queue outside. Plenty of space to queue socially distanced inside. Nice to see that they are taking care of staff, but a nod towards customer service would be an improvement. On the plus side, they did have fans in stock!

Received the items I needed but was unpleasantly surprised by the lack of proper care in terms of COVID-19. Not a single member of staff was wearing a mask, the person at the entrance was standing a lot less than a meter away from the customers who were queuing, and whenever staff needed to move around, they themselves were not maintaining social distancing. There also isn't a protective screen for the staff (only partial, but not where the customer actually stands to speak). There is some infrastructure in place but the behaviour of the staff makes it futile - they are at a significant risk of catching the virus from customers and then passing it onto others.

Went to the store for collection, paid on-line. Operator rushed and handed me the wrong product without asking any form of ID (and I was picking up chemical hazardous substances), I just noticed when I got home, come back, was 5min past the closing time on Saturday when I see the person outside smoking a cigarette who dealt with my order and said to come back next day at 8am (Sunday, when they open at 9am and not 8am). so: Did't give me any receipt or confirmation of the collection. Couldn't care less for the costumer. Wrong information provided. Didn't ID'd me for collection either. I Just don't have any good experience in this store so far.

Went into screwfix the other day and went to order a long list of items, the sales assisstant was really helpful in finding my items but then multiple managers passed him and pressured him to hurry up (Clearly not caring about customer service although theyre the managers) and he, via fault of the managers, made a mistake. From what has been seen, the managers are completely unprofessional and have no clue what they are doing, the kings cross branch is completely unacceptable and would not come here.

Worst branch in London, customer service is poor and have no clue what to do in a situation, and they keep losing items, in the matter of a month, they have lost 2 orders I’ve made for next day delivery, and had to call more then 48 hours later to be told that the item are missing, this has happen to me more then 5 times with orders over £100. This is false advertising, and poor service. Be aware people of this branch, you might not get your order and they won’t tell you.

Parking here is practically non existent on premises, & if u do get a space, there's always a van who'll block u in till they finished in the shop. No free parking on street. Cashiers often young & slow moving & neva met a member of staff there yet who can ansa any question or give any advice b4 some purchases .. best 'know' wot Ur buying first if Ur not trade. Real handy to have the shop there, but check for stock online & maybe reserve it first.

Staff love to waste your time by entering your details at checkout, but turn quite surly if you choose not to in the interest of expediency. Good selection of products, cheaper prices found elsewhere online or in proper builders merchants, but quite convenient for some products. If I was a full time pro tradesman I would look elsewhere, just because prices, quality and service are better elsewhere.

Kahan Duty manager basically asked me to leave at 8:35 because they are closing (while closing time is at 9pm). Saying they can’t help me find the right size and keep speaking in a different language to the girl helping me to stop helping me bc they need to clean up to close. I’ve been to many different screwfixs shops and this was the worst experience so far…

  • Marie Golding

Terrible customer service by some of the staff - I wish I wrote some names down so I can name and shame. Some of the staff really want to help, but there was a guy who just wanted to rush through everything and offer no advice or support. I ended up leaving without any items I went there for - it’s their loss because I was ready to spend a lot of money.

This store is almost always open. The people who work there are knowledgeable and helpful. Most of the items are in the store and you can get them straight away. But if anything is not in store that will definitely arrive within a day. I would definitely recommend visiting this store. And the prices are not too expensive.

  • London's street food

The service I received was absolutely amazing magnificent beautiful like the colours of rainbows you know when you've had a Skittle and it says really good that's the sort of service I received so I just want to say say thank you for the service magnificent beautiful colours of rainbows flags sunshine and a burger burger

  • Wesley Thomas

I visit various Screwfix branches and spend a lot of money on weekly basis and the staff at Kings Cross branch are by far the most unpleasant ones. The members of team have a 'funny' attitude so I will go out of my way to visit Tottenham branch or Wickes instead of visiting my local branch.

  • Ché Ragnarson

Great, I managed to get a replacement 2-port valve powerhead then installed it, my customer can now enjoy The Full Shower Experience with hot running water Payment Job Done! Special Thank You To All The Screwfix Staff for braving the Covid …

  • Zak Bridger

My bathroom lock deteriorated to the point of locking my girlfriend inside. I went to this Screwfix on a bank holiday and the lovely Yasmin sorted me out quickly and efficiently with a new matching door and thumb lock. She is a queen and a G. My bathroom now locks safely!

I never thought I’d shop at Screwfix until I found a fantastic price on Nest thermostats and door bell. I placed the order online and both parts were ready for collection the next day. The collection was easy. Their staff were very polite and efficient. Great experience!

  • Paul Davis

Brilliant customer service by a gentleman named Sydney who works in the Kings Cross Branch his customer service was friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming and ensured my online order was accurate and correct. Many thanks to Sydney and a great asset to their store.

  • Ana Cavero

Always great service and I'm usually able to find everything I need. Only con is that is a bit out of the way and takes a very specific trip to get there, it's not a place where you just pop up casually. They're also quite good honouring discounts and returns.

  • The Sinsa

Ordered next day delivery for £5 extra here I am 5 days later STILL waiting for delivery. Awful service and lies from staff who “understand” but there’s “nothing they can do, it’s what the system says” Never again, better off using other stores.

  • bob morrane

Used to be a helpful and efficient place to go but the staff are useless now, they always say they have stock and ready for pickup then you arrive and they don’t have it. Thankfully I have a Toolstation that opened up nearby that’s more reliable

  • Chris Charles

This place is so convenient, quite often the prices are as low as builders merchants, yet the location is better and the opening hours are virtually continuous! Great experience with quick ordering through the website aswell.

  • Colleen Gallagher-Hill

So only click and collect, but they leave u standing outside, in the blazing sun, saying a few minutes, staff has disappeared, 4 of us waiting, click and collect should be fast and straightfoward! What is taking so long!

  • Steve Honest

I really like this branch of Screwfix. Open when you need it .huge depth of stock. Fast friendly staff good amount of parking outside and always a bargain to be had by browsing round the displays. My branch of choice .

  • clarke jones

Helpful staff found the product I was looking for even after the very poor description I have. Well done. Staff approachable and friendly. In and out within 5 mins. Just how I like my shopping experience!

  • P

  • Tom Richter

Jas was more than helpful in dealing with my questions. Patience above and beyond belief. Boss, give that man a good bonus, or perhaps a bit more income as soon as you can. Purchase made.

  • meritan jashari

Always stock items that I've gone in for, well stocked. Parking is a bit of an issue and can be taxing when leaving the parking lot. Staff however are always helpful and ready to help.

  • Hedwig Wendell-Crumb

I ordered something online and was told I could collect straightaway but when I got there, they had no record of it. However the gentleman searched for the item for me there and then.

  • Richard Kirkham

Great store. Plenty of people serving. Have noticed that the people picking the items are sometimes a bit slow and can get side tracked. Friendly staff tho. Parking can be a pain.

  • Monet

Fine if you pre-order for collection. Wait for the arrival text before you go. They start finding your items as soon as you check in using the computer screens on the right.

  • Fire Stopping Services London (FRA LONDON)

Quick, easy order and collect, Screw fix may not be the cheapest and sometime there is a big queue, but needed some work gear urgently , however can always count on them.

  • Bobbie Stewrat

2 star review but would increase to 4 stars if i could park there. Partly due to other customers parking inconsiderately. Poor parking layout! Staff were very efficient.

  • JOHN

Easy click and collect system. Was ready for me the next day. The shop opens early which is very helpful if you have a job to do and need a early start. Staff a friendly

  • Uravara Piwatongngam

Open later than the rest. Simply the best .. a life saver. Three people serving right up to the stroke of 9pm. My only beef is that there isn't a Screwfix nearer to me.

  • Emma Currie

There is a small car park and not veryong to wait before my order was brought out. You can order online for collection or delivery or use an order point in the branch

  • GEZA

Would have been 4 stars but the part I needed they did not have in stock, so a wasted journey. Pre order on line next time but the do carry a lot of stock.

  • Mario Chisari

Efficient and polite customer service. Super skilled helping you fastly and easier than all the other screwfix i have been to. Mr. Kanti is super nice!

  • David Iain Craig

Very good help from Kwai who was exceptionally diligent in helping me to find a suitable product. Good friendly atmosphere in the business. Thank you.

  • Shwan Faraj

Screw fix should be the first choice to search for, and buy whatever is needed for DIY stuff. good stuff, cheap prices, efficient, swift service.

  • Phil Brian

Click and collect is fantastic. They have most items at this ship and if not, it’s usually available the next day. Really good prices as well.

  • P Penparc

Good and well stocked branch but extremely difficult to park. Avoid morning and lunch time. Go there after 4.30pm for free road side parking

  • Kibrom Tekle
