Super disappointed with my experience here, really not the service I expect for a $200 facial. Wasn’t offered any water upon arrival, spent a really long time answering all the pre-questions on the iPad only to be asked again during the session. I don’t think the lady read anything I wrote as I specified I liked a really hard massage & it was so soft I wouldn’t even call it a massage. The scalp massage was super disappointing too, the lady didn’t remove the hair net and basically just patted the top of my head for 5 minutes. Was expecting some sort of clinical run down of products used and why they were used for my skin and didn’t really get that. All in all will never waste my money here again, I’d heard great things about this place but unfortunately had a very sub-par experience.

Be prepared to be transported. Just a few doors down from its sister facility The Parlour Room you will find an unassuming paradise that is just what your body and face had ordered. Jess was great at her job, recommending the most suitable treatment for me on the day to achieve the results I had wanted. I always say the best compliment is when your client drifts off to sleep, I can assure you Jess had heard a number of snoring moments during my treatment. Parking can be difficult in the surrounding streets but if you ask me, it is absolutely worth it! This was my first time experiencing treatment at Self by The Parlour Room and I doubt it will be my last.

It was such a lovely treat to have a facial by Marissa. My skin felt so good afterwards. I don’t have facials as I’ve previously had not so nice experiences. My friends got me a voucher for my birthday so I went in with a little hesitation. But Marissa made me feel comfortable, provided a treatment to my goals and explained everything as she went. She is extremely knowledgeable as well as providing a soothing, calm and relaxing environment. Thanks Marissa I will absolutely be recommending you to everyone!

I got the facial, scalp treatment and microdermabrasion and I couldn’t be happier. Kelly was amazing and so nice. She gave me advice on my current skincare routine without pushing the products they sell onto me. She didn’t pressure me into buying anything which in turn made me actually buy something! They make you feel like a VIP and the space and rooms are immaculate. My skin feels great and her recommended changes to my usual skin care method have helped so much and it’s only been 5 days ☺️

Booked online, then got a call later that day asking to reschedule the time and massage therapist. The day before my massage I got a call advising that the staff member they’d rescheduled me to was sick and no one else could do it that day so they cancelled my booking. Very disappointing as it was my birthday. I then had to call back again later to ask that my deposit be refunded, which if I hadn’t remembered would have been kept by the salon. Won’t be going back.

Unbelievable experience. 10/10 highly recommend! The best spa I have ever been to. The setting is divine, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and talented. The little details were so appreciated like the sparkling water, beautiful Aesop products, fluffy towels and collagen water post treatment. Everything was sublime - super clean and smelt beautiful. I can't remember the last time I felt so relaxed. Thank you Self! I will be making this a regular occurrence.

As soon as I walked in I was made to feel relaxed instantaneously. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and the staff were extremely welcoming. The facial that I had, left my skin feeling fabulous and gave me a nice glow. Marissa made the whole experience really relaxing and gave me some valuable advice about my skincare routine. I could not recommend this place and the staff enough, it truely exceeded my expectations.

An incredible, luxurious but genuine experience every single time. I’ve visited SELF for facials as well as body treatments including pregnancy massages. Every single treatment has been an exceptional experience and can’t thank the staff enough for their expertise and professionalism. My skin has never looked better thanks to the at home care I’ve been using following my treatments. I can’t wait to go back!

I had hands down the best facial from Marissa. I have had facials before where the therapist puts the mask on then leaves you for what feels like a good half an hour but, Marissa went from giving me a hand, décolletage and foot massage. I walked in feeling so stressed from the week and walked out feeling a completely different person. Highly recommend Self and especially seeing Marissa!

Being a lover of inferred saunas, I can genuinely say it is the best I have experienced in Sydney. It is big enough for myself and friend to enjoy it, both laying down (a huge perk which enables me to enjoy the full 45 min). Bluetooth allowed me to listen to my own music and podcast. Beautiful robes, slippers and bathroom facilities to enjoy as well. Going back for a facial next week!

My skin feels and looks incredibly hydrated after the Signature facial with Honey. This is my third time at "Self" and each time I've had Jessica who listens and customises the treatment according to what my skin needs. The whole "Self" experience is wonderful and I particularly enjoy the no chatter so I always feel very relaxed afterwards.

Self by the Parlour Room would have to be the most relaxing and effective facial (Fire and Ice) I have experienced. Jessica, who has been my therapist the past couple of times, is wonderful - she is very caring about you and your treatment. This is my go to facial place now and I highly recommend if you want to spoil yourself. - Emma.

What an absolute joy my SAMADARA ULTIMATE AGE DEFYING FACIAL was this afternoon. A birthday present from my husband, I hadn’t realised what a treat I was in for...almost a massage and facial in one. My skin feels and looks amazing. The products used are all natural and Australian. Thanks Jess for a blissful couple of hours.

Honestly, my visit to SELF was truly life changing. My fiancé booked me in for a signature facial prior to our wedding and Jess quite seriously blew my mind. These beauticians are seriously talented and I don't think anything has ever been more worth of the price tag. You need to visit this salon, I cannot wait to go back.

I've been lucky enough to have a handful of divine facials at Self. Each time I've walked out feeling like a new woman. The treatments are thorough, relaxing and leave me glowing. The therapist are all so lovely and look after you! Would 10/10 recommend -- VIP treatment from start to finish. I'm so glad they're my local.

I had the most amazing experience from start to finish at Self. You instantly feel relaxed as soon as you walk in the door and all the therapists make you feel so welcome. I had a gorgeous facial by Caitlin. The products used all smelt and felt amazing, and my skin was glowing after. Such a treat!

My partner and I booked in for the signature body massage, and it was the best thing we did all weekend. Aside from Self being styled to perfection and such a beautiful space to be in, the massage was fantastic - and the heated beds really added to our relaxation. We can't wait to book in again!

This little spot is a hidden gem. I travel a good distance to have my facials here as absolutely love them. I’ve seen Jess a few times for the fire and ice facial and always come away feeling relaxed, refreshed and glowing. Would highly recommend.

Massage was disappointing. More like rub with oil. Left waiting on bed 10 minutes while girl was on the phone. Then she sniffled the whole time making it impossible to relax. No chest rub and way too much scalp rubbing. Wouldn’t go back.
