Sensible Edibles Bakery makes delicious vegan and gluten-free treats. I received a variety of cookies and bars in a neatly arranged box. They all arrived in perfect condition that even came with a cute reusable bag! I liked how they were individually packaged so flavors didn't transfer to the other items. I loved all of the treats however the Grassroot bar was my favorite. It had carrots, zucchini, and raisins however you would have never known that from the taste! It was sweet and chewy with a wonderful brown sugar oat bar flavor. Raspberry hazelnut was my second favorite. It has a nice thick layer of raspberry jam in the middle and it tastes amazing sandwiched in between the cookie bars. Raspberry thumbprint was also unique with the raspberry preserve topping as well as the energy and oatmeal raisin cookies that were huge! Chocolate chunk is a fudgy dark chocolate bar that will definitely satisfy your chocolate craving. I would highly recommend checking out this bakery whether you are local or looking to order online!

I looked up this bakery after purchasing their chocolate chip cookie at a vegetarian takeout restaurant a couple times. It is so good that I had to find the source, so I found their Google page and Instagram account. I received cookies, bars and a brownie in the mail, packaged beautifully and individually wrapped. I don't have any allergies or dietary restrictions and would still go for their products, everything I tried is delicious! My favorites are the raspberry bar (it has a perfect crumb topping that could go against any non-vegan crumb cake) and of course the chocolate chip cookies (my go-to sweet when I want to treat myself). The grassroot bar reminds me of zucchini bread. I have friends with allergies and those with gluten sensitivities, so I recommended it to them, and recommend this to anyone looking for delicious baked treats!

Fantastic variety of vegan and gluten free options! Finding this spot was a game changer. Not only do they accommodate allergies, but they clearly list the ingredients on each of the individually wrapped goods. If you are looking for a dessert for everyone (or a treat for yourself), this is the place to get it from. I’ve ordered their apple pie and their chocolate cake and people were blown away that they were vegan and gluten free. They make an apple oatmeal cookie that is hands down the most well balanced cookie I’ve ever eaten. You can’t go wrong with their scones or muffins either! Honestly, what they bake is so good you don’t need allergies as an excuse to try them. They also make low sugar options and non-vegan options if that’s your thing.

I purchase these at various places around Brooklyn (not just their bakery, which I've never been to), and they are excellent. I have issues with gluten and cannot eat almond sure to an allergy. Finding any decent pastry that avoids both is difficult. The whoopie pies are excellent - I've had their main ones, their fall whoopies (pumpkin spice is not my favorite but still pretty good) and their winter ones. Their muffins are also quite good, and make a great breakfast pastry. I did my first online order recently (pictured- the muffins were under the whoopies initially) and it came quite fast. Super stoked to be stocked up - but I would have also liked a bite regarding their shelf lives!

This past weekend I ordered the variety box from Sensible Edibles; it was absolutely incredible! As a hobby I review desserts that I have shipped in from all over the nation. Recently, I was diagnosed w/ being gluten intolerant, so I can only have GF treats. With that in mind when I found Sensible Edibles I HAD to try them. I was blown away by everything! Thr shipping, packaging, customer service, & bake goods. I can honestly say, the treats are some of the best I have ever had! I will definitely be buying from them every month. The oatmeal cookie was so sweet l, chewy, and perfect! All of the bars were so flavorful, sweet, &buttery. I can not even believe they're GF/V.

I did an all Gluten Free Thanksgiving Dinner this year due to my daughter having Celiac disease. I ordered the banana walnut cake for dessert. I'm always a little hesitant to get gluten free desserts from bakeries because its hard to find a place that is celiac safe and also tastes good. I highly recommend this place. I placed the order on-line, chose the day I wanted it to arrive (I live out of state). It came on the day I requested and everyone loved the cake!! It was enjoyed by all. Sensible Edibles is quite honestly my favorite bakery in the world. I first had their delicious bars (highly recommend the raspberry hazelnut and grassroot bars) at cafes around NYC and went to the cute brick and mortar location in LIC to pick up my birthday carrot cake last year; it was a cute and cozy location and the cake was unbelievably scrumptious. Ordering online for delivery is also very easy -- just got my box before running the NYC marathon! They have incredible vegan options (as well as many other options for those with dietary restrictions) and I can't recommend them highly enough !!!

I’ve had nothing but a great experience with Sensible Edibles. We’ve tried the Grassroot bars, Chocolate Chunk brownie as well as the Walnut Chocolate brownie and they are D • E • L • I • C • I • O • U • S Though we loved them all, our absolute favorite was the Grassroot bar . The items were shipped from NYC to central FL in a timely manner and you can just taste the freshness in their baked goods. I can’t forget to mention how much my little ones loved them as well. They were a hit with my youngest and he loved taking them to school for snack time ☺️

Thank you SO MUCH! I didn't realize it would be so difficult to find a gluten free AND vegan cake in NYC. We are navigating a family of several, but common allergies. We ordered the banana walnut and it was delicious. Bonus, it has no peanut products so a surprise guest who had a peanut allergy was also able to participate in birthday cake, which made us so happy. A little on the expensive side, but still cheap when compared to what's nearby. The food here is pretty great (I believe there are vegan friendly options too) and they have two cats who'd love to join you for some cuddles while you stop in for your lunch break. The space itself is nice, albeit a little larger than what the actual restaurant needs, but who's going to complain about having extra space in NYC, right? End of the day, definitely stop by and experience it- the food is solid, the staff is friendly and the cats are cuddly.

My wife who is vegan wanted a vegan carrot cake for a her birthday. Living in Pennsylvania, find a strictly vegan bakery is hard enough but finding vegan carrot cake is even harder. I came across this place on Etsy. After reading reviews and being strapped for time pulled the trigger and ordered. My order arrived the very next day. My wife LOVED it. If you didnt tell me this cake was vegan, i couldnt tell the difference. The pictures posted is the aftermath of 3 people enjoying it. I will definitely be a regular here.

A little bakery nook located on a side street by the local jail. My coworkers affectionate term it the "jailhouse bakery". It's a very nice place with the friendliest staff there and super delicious baked goods. I don't get to go often but definitely needed to make a stop in to grab some brownies after not being able to go for the last year. It's kind of sad (bit good considering) because the goodies are now all individually heat sealed and not tempting you from behind the glass.

Delicious treats! I am from out of town and got a spread of delights. I especially loved the chocolate chip cookie (slight crunch on the edges and beautifully soft inside), raspberry hazelnut bar (super dense and filling!! Yummy flavor), and the carrot cake muffin (moist and wonderfully balanced). If I had known how good it was, I would have gotten triple the amount! And the staff that helped me were super inviting and kind. They are a kind of business that get 5 star all around.

We first came across these desserts at the sandwich shop that we go to in the neighborhood and now we grab one pretty much every time we go in. The apple oatmeal cookie, the brownie and the carrot muffin with the icing on top are our favorites. As a vegan, I usually don’t love gluten free desserts but these are actually really tasty (and always fresh)! We have taken them to share with family who is neither gluten free or vegan, and they’ve loved everything we brought!

This place is so great, I wasn’t even aware their products were gluten free and vegan until I looked at the label because I couldn’t believe it. I got the raspberry hazelnut bar and it was delicious, the raspberry was so good and it was crumbly. I also got a slice of the chocolate bundt cake which was moist and super tasty. The cashier was very friendly and answered all of our questions and there’s even free origami you can take! Definitely coming back

I had the variety box shipped, and it came beautifully packaged. I love the selection of items, especially because there were items in there I wouldn't have picked, but were delicious! The raspberry hazelnut and energy bar were two of my favorites. One thing to keep in mind is that these treats have expiration dates on them, so pop them in the freezer and pull them out as needed. I'll definitely be buying more in the future!

I’ve see these at several places around NYC, but I was in the area and decided to drop by. The friendly guy in the front gave me some recs, so I went with the walnut chocolate brownie. It was so good - the chocolate flavor was strong, it had the denseness of a brownie, and the nice crunch of the walnuts. I would get this again, but I wanna try the other things first.

My brother bought a box of cookies and brownies for my birthday and shipped them all the way to Chicago for me as he knows how hard it is for me to find desserts that I can eat. I was so happy to get baked goods that work with both my gluten and dairy allergy! I will definitely be buying from them again. I highly recommend the grassroots and chocolate brownies!

Excellent bakery. All the baked goods are fresh and tasty! The salads and sandwiches are excellent. Everything is made on the premises and swiftly. Friendly staff. The owner is very courteous and open-minded to the customers' ideas and needs. One of the best places to have a great breakfast or lunch at in LIC. Highly recommended!

This place has the best gluten-free, vegan bakery goods I have ever had! I became a repeat customer (even after moving across the country) because of their big, chewy centered cookies that worked for my dietary restrictions. Small bakery shop in the former industrial bulging on the Long Island City (Queens), surroundings by The Falci Building and The Queens Detention Facility offering surprisingly good baked stuff and trendy healthy lunches. All the baked stuff and made on premises, the personal are incredibly friendly and nice. Highly recommended.

When I came in, I was greeted by a very sweet and adorable tabby cat. Got a slice of Lemon Loaf and it was delicious. Not overly sweet. Quite moist. Has nuts. I didn’t take pictures because I inhaled it already before I thought about the picture haha.
