Lovely running path - it measures about 3 in around the lake but it also has lots of extensions and side trails. It's usually pretty busy on the weekends but I've never had trouble finding parking along the little road off of Woodley. There are bathrooms and water fountains at the building marked as the Wildlife Reserve on Google Maps.

Perfect for a hikeout option. Although, it is little bit scary because of the large bushes around the reserve there is a trail for walking around. Plus there is a park nearby for family outings and picnics. No entry fees so would definitely recommend checking out once …

This little jewel is hiden but its nice. I can picture a romantic stroll with someone special. Peaceful way to start a morning. Bonoculars is a plus. Good idea to bring a trash picker long stick and a trash bag, this place needs help picking up after trash. More

I've always wanted to see this area and was surprised at how much work is going into preserving the area. I love that there's a walking biking path along the river there. It's a fun place to people watch and eat at the bike spoke restaurant.

This wildlife reserve is a beautiful place to come and relax in the valley. There is a peaceful lake/ pond with tons of water fowl flying and swimming around perfect for birding. Seems to be fish in the pond as well but no fishing is

Great place to birdwatch - there are tons of different birds around! It’s also really great for a a nice, even hike (no hills), taking pictures, or just enjoying a little nature in the basin of the valley. More

This is one of my favorite places to go for a nature walk. With lots of wild life. Please respect them. We are the guest the animals live there. Please leave the dogs at home or if not put them on the leash.

Birds! And more birds. And a frog, and fish and turtles. Oh my! I love that we have places like this to visit, right in the middle of the urban sprawl.

A large multi-use area with some parking depending on the popularity. There are some trees for shade. Nearby freeways can be heard but not seen. More

Really pretty. Tons of flowers, wildlife and even foraging opportunities. You can being dogs but it's not very shaded so it can be hot.

Right next to Balboa Lake Park, feels more natural and is less packed. Great place if you're looking for a place to relax.
