We as bengali are extremely pleased to share that this place offers good bengali cuisine including fish and food taste brings memories of Kolkata. Thank you Shanti Restaurant for serving us with delicious food when ordered from Zomato. However, dining experience at the restaurant is extremely poor since adequate people aren't there to serve food (even on the occasion like 1st day of Bengali New year as we have visited today - 15th April, 2023) on time and it takes ages to serve food. Will not recommend to dine at the restaurant rather ordering online will be better option. Food quality is good however price is little bit on the higher side but still reasonable considering Ahmedabad. Restaurant Location is bit offbit and surrounding is quite dull while dining ambience is absolute basic. Hygiene at restaurant is another concern, specially the washroom and hand wash area was not neat.

I have visited this restaurant 3 times now. Every time I have been disappointed with this place whether in terms of quality of food, the service or the attitude of staff. I am sharing an experience that happened recently. We had called the restaurant at 12:00 pm to place order for lunch in advance and informing them that we will be coming at 1:30 pm. We reached on time and waited for 40 minutes to get only a plate of onions to munch on. We had ordered fish, the order was accepted. Time passed and that dish wasn't served. When asked about the reason, a staff person replied casually that a few ingredients are not available to make that dish. The casual attitude, late service, quality of food (fish was too small) has made it the worst experience I ever had at any restaurant! It's too frustrating to deal with all this when you haven't eaten anything for 6 hours. I'm NEVER going to visit here again and would never suggest this restaurant to anyone!

This is my third experience of ordering , second order of thali, had dal which got spoiled, when informed I was assured quality would be taken care. Today I ordered thali , where as per the menu many things were missing , the missing are aam panna raita steamed rice n chutni, food was schedule to be delivered at 12.45pm instead it was delivered at 13.30pm , the excuse given was of lots of order...if there are customers n losts of orders then there was no need for further taking of orders when unable to manage, this shows how Shanti resturant operates and the way they take care of clients. When I informed the person concerned, he put down the phone stating too many clients to attend at restaurant. Home delivery are overlooked by the staff.

I was a customer of this restaurant since 2016. In those days, dishes cooked used to be very tasty and were reasonably priced. But over the years they have completely lost credibility in quality/quantity/pricing of their food items. Quantity largely dimished vis a vi prices gone too high. They also do business in selling raw fish. In many occasions they grossly compromise with quality and knowingly sell rotten fish. When brought into their notice about this kind of wrong business ethics, they started to justify forcefully with heated arguments. I was one of their regular customers but now learnt lessons. I sincerely do not recommend strangers to venture here. Those who are old customers like me, may take care while dealing in future

Please don't display something u can't cook.....today I tried fish fry which was over fried and turned almost into coal, chicken lollipop was pathetic....quantity was very good both fish fry and chicken lollipop, justified by quantity but the taste, I swear this was my 4th time and today I took oath on me that I won't visit this restaurant again in my life...... Masala papad was a joke.... Prawn malai curry costed 250Rs, and the quantity was hardly for one person.....prawns were not cooked properly..... **Only the steamed rice was good ....

Nice and peaceful ambiance. Food is good too... We tried the Rohu thali with fish fingers and egg pakora.. Thali includes rice/roti, dal, aloo bhaja, 1 sabzi and fish curry... They have that bengali touch which is difficult to find in Ahmedabad... Quantity is sufficient and quality is not bad either.. The best part is all the food was served piping hot. Though service is not up to the mark but one young guy was very active.

when i searched for a odia restro in amdabad i got this one. after so long time when i eat chicken briyani its good. 1st time out side of state we eat mutton and its really good. food taste was like our state food odia food. if i talk about food price its too high for my personal opinion. I ordered raw fish but they supplied rotten fish and after calling so many times not picking up the phone and also messaging them on whatsapp no response from the owner. They are iresponsible , only want to sell but no values for customer feedback. Neither they are bother to call back and reply.

Bengali dishes are available in reasonable price but taste of the same is not upto the mark. I have got a bad smell from potato fries as well as fish cutlet. I also ordered mutton thali in which the main dish named mutton curry was totally tasteless with very small pieces. So I can't recommend you guys.

Budget hotel with authentic bengali cuisines like Daal, rice, crispy potato fries, chicken kosha, fish in mustard gravy. But don't try their kolkata style biryani, it was not at all like that we have in kolkata. Ambience is average. Overall a budget hotel with traditional bengali food.
