If I could put 0 stars I would I went to sharis after a long day of work with a coworker and at first the servers where very kind then we ordered and we never got a dish we ordered and said they forgot which happens I understand if it was busy but there was only like two tables and my table and two servers and they acted like it was very busy and one of the servers complained and said “we barely have dishes we might need to do only to go orders” but never did dishes and went outside for a smoke with the other server and kept telling other potential customers that there was no dishes and they are so packed in the restraunt and that they have to do to go orders. And everytime I tried to get a servers attention they looked at me and turned around and ignored me and acted like putting napkins on tables or moving things an inch away from where it was sitting was more important. They did bring the receipt to my table and I asked them to remove the missing order they didn’t give us off my receipt to pay because I’m not going to pay for something that I didn’t get when I ordered it. The server looked annoyed and asked if we wanted it to go or have it after we ate (during the time we where eating I kept trying to get their attention but they kept ignoring me) I said no Thankyou please take it off the receipt. The other server acted like she didn’t know what she was doing when she could have done dishes she looked like a lost puppy. I just say go to this location when they have dishes or if they ever will have dishes.

I have patron this business location for over 15 years manager come and go but in the recent year or two the day shift person in charge name of Sarah who I have had to dealt with yesterday was not professional snappy at my young son and I. As we enter the facility we greeted the server but no response. My 9 year old is very friendly he gestures again but no mind or reply. I the boy to step back he is busy we waited ringing up other folks. So we wait. But no acknowledgement I went to look for the manager to be see if there is a second person if we can be seated. She snapped at us. "There is only one person at the register ..." She raised her voice louder and louder with more harsh words. We proceeded to leave she literally shout us out of Shari's stayed quiet so the boy didn't have to deal with with such exchange. I could not believe such service, I understand it's Covid and understaff but very poor customer service I have been seen this type of service anywhere in Oregon. Earlier this year I came in for pie the waitress and manager had loud word exchange and waitress was told just don't he strawberry pie she reply I don't know how looks and waitress sprayed whipped cream which ever way and passed it on. Shari's corp need to do a ghost customer shopping to see it for themselves. It's down hill and insulting I will never patron this place again.

Unfortunately I cannot leave a positive review for this location. Our food was adequate, not amazing but I knew what to expect and was not disappointed. The service experience was unacceptable however. We were promptly seated and it did not take long for our order to be taken. After that, we waited 25 minutes without coffee or water to pass the wait and when our food was served, the waitress didn’t bring any silverware so I had to take some from another table to eat. At that point of food delivery, there was still no water or coffee at the table. Our waitress just left the food and walked away. I went to the front desk to inform one of the servers and was just met with excuses and an overall sour attitude. She explained they were understaffed, which I understand, that happens in every service industry at some point in time and is stressful. However, that is not the customer’s responsibility and there should have been be an apology included in her response. Better yet, set the customers expectations when you are seating them so they have the option to leave if the meal won’t come im a reasonable time frame. We won’t be coming back to this location. And for any diner experience, coffee or drink service in general should always come first!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - Country Fried Steak and Eggs, ultimate Chicken Fried Steak, and a Marionberry Cheese Pie. The breakfast plate was done well with the over easy egg just fried enough on both sides but the center was runny. However, one of the pancake was completely burnt and not really edible. The Chicken Fried Steak dinner was a bit overcooked and the broccoli came with a sticker for “Thu, 6/8” when we visited on 6/9… The top pieces of broccoli were pretty bland but the bottom was very oily and heavily seasoned. Best part of the meal was the pie which is a cheesecake with marionberry topping and jam which is similar to blackberry in taste. It tasted much better than it looked but could have done without the whipped cream. Ambience: n/a - ordered food to go. Felt similar to other chain restaurants Service: 5/5 - Trey was super friendly and made sure to pay attention to each party he interacted with even though so many groups came in at once, each asking for his attention. Value for price: 4/5 - go for the pie and breakfast but leave the carbs!

Visited Shari's with my partner back in late July 2019. I was visiting from Canada and had never eaten at Shari's so we thought it'd be a good place to stop and grab breakfast. We were on a time crunch so we just wanted to stop for breakfast before we headed out of Portland. We were seated promptly after we came in. We received our drinks in a timely manner but the experience went downhill shortly after. We needed extra time to choose our meals as I'd never been there before. We asked for about 2 more minutes. We waited 10+ minutes just for a waitress to return so we could order. Already by this point we started getting mixed feelings and thought it'd be better to leave the restaurant and go somewhere quicker. It had felt like we'd been forgotten about. A few waitresses walked by and never checked up on us since we were just sitting at a table without food. My partner had to go up and ask if someone could return and serve us. He found our waitress, but shortly after were informed that there was a new one coming to serve us, which was fine. We waited a while for our meals to come. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't great.

Great little nook for playing video poker, friendly and attractive waitresses always good. The food speaks for itself. Covers everything for a great night out. (Update) given the rising cost of goods and services caused by inflation, I have noticed where they made adjustments. The price of food has risen slightly and the portion sizes have been reduced.

I love shari's and go quite often, but i would never come to this Shari's again. Waited almost 1 hour and 15 minutes for my food, if i hadn't received my milkshake i wouldn't have stayed. I went with only 2 people, and there were only 2 other tables besides mine ( small parties ). Never received utensils, or napkins. When i was handed my milkshake the waitress slammed it on the table and spilled, i understand accidents and more so bad days. But the experience doesn't stop there, the hash browns were burnt and the pancakes soggy, the bacon was incredibly burnt and more so the workplace platter had pieces of warm and cold. I ordered a country fried steak which when i was served was a mix of warm fried outer with cold mixes of uncooked steak inside. I love tipping the waiters, but for the first time in my life i left without leaving a tip. We barely touched the food, and growing up i hate leaving food uneaten but it just wasn't palatable.

Thank God for Tia!!!! Or this place would be shut down! The cook is new, in which case I would normally overlook any small discrepancies of menu items and the "so called food" being put out tonight. I've now been here 1.5 hrs. And there are only 6 people in the restaurant and 2 just walked out. Any food put out in last hour needed corrected which Tia had to ask cook for. I'm allergic to tomato, I ordered a build your own burger that is STILL not done. The first half burger put out was sat under light in plastic with lettuce TOMATO and no onions or mushrooms, which when asked cook said he just wasn't done yet. What kind of mngment would let this guy cook much less cook alone?!?!?! Couldnt even melt cheese!!! I'm horrified for these waitresses!!! Again, thank god for Tia and her knowledge of this restaurant , the menu, and expectations of the patrons of Shsris!!!! OMG!! Dude is back there singing and talking to himself about not having the right containers for to go food! MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED, I KNOW I AM FOR THEM. give a little bit of leeway

In the mornings when I go there's just one waitress and I believe her name is Maggie but she is one of the most efficient and gracious servers I've ever seen she takes care of everybody that's in the restaurant and handles it beautifully. The food and I've only the only had one thing on the menu I've had it twice because it was so good I think they called their garden omelette it's wonderful it's vegetarian and it has some cheddar cheese in it has mushrooms and spinach and onions and all those delightful things they're hash browns are crisp but not greasy and their pancakes are very tasty they also sell a impossible sausage for those that are vegan or just or totally plant-based and so it's a it's a very great place to eat they have a wonderful brand of green tea they they use stash which is an excellent brand and you just have to make sure that they give you hot water really hot water that was the only thing that we had to ask seconds for is hot water everything else was done very nicely in the cook did a great job on the omelette a great job

We won't be back. We were waiting for our order and the table behind us with 3 kidd was waiting before we got there, and then they took our order to there table, and then after they have picked at it, the waitress came back and took it away from them, took it back to the kitchen, and then brought it to our table. We can see it's been picked at. The people and the kids left without eating. We felt so bad for them, and lost our appetite...the look on those kids face after having there food ripped away from them....they offered to make us a new order, and we passed, and then they gave us one of our orders free...should have been all no charge....Portland has the laziest employees, and none know what integrity is or means...we see it everywhere here...nothing is like it used to be...my opinion is the waitress should be fired.

I understand most places are understaffed and with this crazy weather we had, it put more strain on restaurants. This is the sorriest Turkey Bacon Club I've ever seen. 2 slices of turkey and one piece of bacon? Where's the middle bread and well the rest of the sandwich? I'm not asking for 5 star but 14$ for this is horrible and after not having the ingredients for the original item I ordered. Times are tough and businesses have to cut costs but we too as customers feel that, when we decide to spend our hard earned money we should at least get what we ordered. Seems as if Shari's and diners are dying out. It's sad to see but this is part of why. I'd rather spend my money somewhere where we will at least get what we pay for.

An ok diner with good prices. I like the steaks and hamburgers. The service is quite fast, but the servers are so busy rushing around it can be hard to get their attention sometimes. It's kind of like a NW version of Denny's, but with better food and more sustainable somewhat local food suppliers. The pies are quite good, they only items that really stand out as above average in quality. Meals range from about $7 - $14, so pretty easy on the wallet. They are open 24 hours a day, so they are convenient if you are out late. My main complaints are that they put too much salt on everything, especially the fried food. Also they are often very busy and noisy and it feels too cramped and hectic inside. I recently discovered Elmer's which is similar to Shari's but with better food and atmosphere for the same price, so I'll probably be going to Elmer's now when I feel like cheap diner food.

During the time of this 2022 Great Job Transitions where employeers are searching the workforce to fill the many vacancies, Brandon was the only server in Shari's, on NE 122nd, when we arrived to eat our meal. He was cashier, server, table cleaner, and moving at tornado speed until he arrived at any customer's table. Then he displayed a very friendly, happy attitude and spoke very highly of the delicious taste of the food prepared and cooked by Ruby. He was the best at his job! Every word he spoke about how delicious food was is absolutely true. My husband's steak was prepared to the exact way that he asked for, and my skillet breakfast was so flavorful, I didn't even wish to cover it with country gravy. I savored each and every bite. Thank you Brandon and Ruby for our delightful experience at Shari's.

Customer service was horrible!! Friendliness lacking! Attentiveness nonexistent! $21 and some change for a regular breakfast and a slice of pie.. food was mediocre at best.. wlda been better had our waitress kick her disgruntled I don't wanna be here serving you ATTITUDE to the curb! But _NOPE not today!! Epic failshe had another gentleman waiting at the register to pay his tab until SHE WAS DONE preparing whatever it was.. "I'm going to put this in the freezer then I'll be over there" is what she stammered after making him wait almost 5 minutes before acknowledging him.. WOW! I thought.. DO NOT USE THE WOMEN'S RESTROOM smells like a broken sewer pipe.. but realized it was a nasty dirty unclean restroom was allC'mon.. COVID nothing.. Have STANDARDS people.. *Off the list*

I ordered food for a few coworkers and myself for curbside pick up. What a huge mistake on my part. Not only was my order wrong, I ordered a grilled chicken ceasar salad, they sent a chiken strip all cut up and charged me extra for it, my salad was placed on the bottom of the bag underneath all of the hot food, the lettuce was very wilted and discolored, one of my coworkers ordered a breakfast sampler and the potatoes looked like the cheapest frozen potatoes from the grocery store freezer section, another coworker ordered a quesadilla which was placed in the bag on its side and looked like a sloppy mess. Another coworker ordered the chips & dip trio, which was the only item that looked halfway edible. I will never order from this location again. Very disappointed with my experience!! I rated this with 1 star which is 1 too many for my experience.

Omg talk about slow service and rude employees. I understand when you are understaffed and I’m usually very patient when it comes to getting service but after waiting to be seated for a few minutes we were told to go ahead and sit at any clean table. I went and asked for menus not once but three different times and was told they would bring them to us in a minute. The menus were right in front of the register and yet she couldn’t bother just to hand me some but instead told me that the lady on the other side of restaurant would bring them over to us in a few minutes. I just don’t understand why I couldn’t just have some of the menus sitting right in front of me. We waited 25 mins before even getting a chance to order our food. It was not busy at all and yet the service was incredibly slow.

I visited in the early afternoon and was treated to fast and friendly service despite there only being a very limited number of employees at that time. The wait to be seated and for our food was very reasonable as well. My guest and I both took the opportunity to play some video lottery while we waited on our orders to come out. Not only was the gaming area clean but we both had luck on our side and won enough while playing the lottery games to more than cover our means and a generous tip. Even if we hadn't won enough to cover our bill it would've been a very pleasant visit. The food was standard fare, cooked properly, with portion sizes commensurate with the prices. We'll definitely dine at this location again.

Maybe 10 tables on Tuesday evening and had more than 30 min wait for French dip after order placed. Prime rib supposedly already made, heat a bun and drop some fries. 15 min max. More than 1 hrs from entering and still being told to wait another 10 min. Food arrived and was inedible. Total waste of $20. Some waitress copped an attitude when asked about why others who arrived after had food.. Avoid this Shari's. EDIT: waitress cooking because all cooks called out. She had mouth like a sailor for all to hear and when pointed out to other waitress the attitude was yeah like I care about your opinion. Should have put a closed sign and saved all the bad food and attitudes.

June 27, 2016 Are you people on drugs? By you people I mean the ones leaving reviews. I used one bus and two trains to get here and let me say I have never experienced anything close to what these nasty reviews are saying. Excellent menu, fantastic service great location and no reason to ever stop coming here. The manager is oblivious you say? She even pitches in and helps. She just finished vacuuming the floor from the pigs that can't seem to eat without dropping food, utensils and paper on the floor. Oblivious? I think not. Fantastic personalities from all the staff. Yeah it gets busy and oh my gosh you may have to wait 5 minutes to get your water. Boo hoo. GROW UP!!! This is a great place and will never stop coming.

After taking our order the waitress didn't bring my boyfriend his order . She did make it correct when notified about it. She was very sorry & apologetic. However the food should have been hot fresh from the kitchen. My boyfriend was definitely put off & was disappointed with the food. The restaurant was almost empty. So the food had no reason to be warm & not hot.

Ordered a to go order and came to pick it up and the rude waitress couldn't figure out what happened. She sounded completely ignorant speaking to the cooks like they couldn't understand basic English. She figured out the other waitress gave out my order I'm still waiting for it. She gave major attitude to the waitress that made the mistake. But no I'm so sorry or can I get you a cup of coffee while you wait. Needless to say I waited 50 minutes then tried to charge me 45 dollars when my order was 28.00. Found out that they cashed out the wrong ticket and the lady was asking me what comes with what. Didnt try to make it right AT ALL and was annoyed I didn't give a tip when I normally do. My food is cold.

I was impressed by the new, updated menu, since we've been going here for years. There seems to have been a step up in the cooking process, because the last couple times we went, the food has been extra good. I even wanted to pick off my fiance's plate, but I was too full. The host/waiter was bright and cheerful, some of the best service I have ever had at a restaurant. He was very attentive and cordial the entire time. About the only thing I could possibly complain about is the selection of fresh fruit was low with just simply melons? Otherwise, I'm looking forward to going again and trying something good off the new menu.

I've been to a few Sharis Restaurants, but this is by far the worst one I've ever been to. The atmosphere was horrible. The staff weren't friendly and acted as if they were annoyed that they were even their. I understand that most places are understaffed, but the manager of this one was just barking out orders to the 2 waitresses while she stood in the back. And don't even get me started on the tweakers that were just sitting there nodded out all over the place. I'll never go back to this Sharis again.

Most horrible experience in this place today. We were seated, then NO ONE took our order for nearly 15mins. We were about to leave, when someone helped us. We gave our order and guess what? We waited another half hour before our food showed up. My steak was 90% fat and tendons. My mom asked for no veggies with her chicken strips, which were more like chicken nuggets that she couldn't chew. When we were done, we waited another ten minutes for our check. Which never came. My mom had to stand at the counter for almost another ten minutes before we were able to pay. Never coming here again!

Okay, so the pies are very good BUT they seriously understaff this place and it shows! Bathrooms were filthy with no paper towels, tables were filthy, waitstaff were mostly missing, and even early in the morning they seemed reluctant to be helpful if it added any work. It would be easy to call them lazy or entitled but I don't think that's it. I mean, it might be, but I really just think they're overworked, underpaid, and burnt out. At least, that's what it looked like. It's unfortunate because, like I said, the pies are delish! The no sugar added berry ones are especially yummy.

We came in as a party of 6 the waitress brought our lunch my daughters pancakes or burnt I got a hamburger it was dry and wilted lettuce my granddaughters hamburger was dry as well at the beginning of the customer service was good until I sent my hamburger back then it changed.. This restaurant was one of my favorite places to have a family meal but the food and the customer service went down . I told myself I would never go back but I did it once again . Never again. I am not the one to complain about much about it was horrible once again... and spent $80 on top of that...

As I prepared for my first restaurant experience since the pandemic started, I have to admit - I was nervous. Fortunately, I was waited on by Linda, whose cheerful, easy going demeanor immediately put me at ease. Thanks to her, I was able to relax, and thoroughly enjoy the French Toast she recommended. As I sipped my pre-breakfast coffee, I even chatted (granted, it was half shouting, because of the 6 foot distance) with people at nearby tables, who all seemed to be feeling the same way. I couldn't have asked for a better reintroduction to "dining in" at a restaurant!

  • Edin Curt (Eddie4)

The food portions have shrunk. I had my server, who was nice and did enjoy her job, bring me another piece of chicken because even she thought that the chicken was too small for what I paid. The sides tasted like they were prepared a while ago and just reheated, and we were interrupted while eating by a homeless man coming in and asking me if I am going to finish my food or if I could buy him something. Also, it seemed like they're understaffed.

There was one person working because everyone one else called in. While I believe who ever is above him should've had his back and been there to help, his customer service was awesome. He could've been grouchy & upset, and let his frustration come out in not very nice ways. But he didn't, he still went above and beyond to make sure we were able to have a nice dinner! Than you (I think his name was Dave)!

We usually go to the one on 182nd - it's got good service. Not here! After we got our water, we asked one question from the waitress and she came by and helped the nearby tables 5 times before we finally just left. I've never done that before! We were so hungry, too. We went to Subway across the parking lot - got a big smile and great service there! I just couldn't believe we had been ignored so badly. She did manage my wheelchair easily, I'll give her that, but I was there to eat! This was Sunday, June 19 at 7pm.

My waitress was awesome however I asked for a steak well done it was cut almost through in multiple places and charred on the outside. When I commented on it nothing was done about it. When I went to pay I was told my card wasn't being accepted. The manager very loudly told me I needed to pay or she would call the police. I called my bank to find out why the card was not being accepted and was told that a fraud alert alert had been triggered because they had attempted to charge me multiple times for the one meal.

We were greeted by a friendly team members, immediately seated, we were given an adequate time to orders & it was a short wait for our food. The waiter/server checked on us multiple times & kept the coffee filled. The food was delicious!

I was with a Coworker for lunch. His was perfect. I order a salad w/o cheese. It came with cheese. 2nd salad was without cheese And w/o chicken. The waitress brought the chicken to be add but now we had to leave. We didn't receive the check and so stood at the cash register (I'm not kidding) for 3 minutes. They weren't busy. We were one of three tables and 2 wait staff. I will not visit here for a lunch from work. BTW, the salad was delicious.

This Shari's was okay food wise but, I didn't feel as welcome with the wait staff. It took about 10 to 15 minutes before we were taken to a table. The problem with that was nobody else was waiting for a table, just us. The cashier was too busy chating with 2 male customers checking out. When we finally were taken to a booth and, our waitress came to the table, she barely smiled or spoke. She made me think that this was the last place she wanted to be nor did she want to wait on us.

The restaurant was clean and seemed well taken care of. The staff were attentive to making sure people kept masks on while waiting for a table or using the lottery machines. The wait was a little long for getting drinks or my order taken, but I noticed there weren't many staff members currently working the floor. The food was good as always.

Haven't been to a Shari's in several years. And the reason being cause it just wasn't worth it. Now they've supposedly redone their menu and stepped things up. Nope. Same as always, bland food, overpriced and service is bare. And when paying, the waitress made us wait at the counter while she went and smoked a cigarette. And when I didn't put a tip she scoffed at me and stated "No tip, huh." under her breath. Won't be returning to any of their establishments.

Went to Shari's last week at the 122nd location and ordered breakfast LITERALLY and the food was cold. Placed a order and said we would be there at 12 and I got there at 12:05 the food was cold and they forgot my hash browns. I don't know what is going on but this isn't good service at all. Very disappointment in their service, will go to the airport location next time even though this location is closer to my job. If I could give a 0 stars I would...

  • Jon Poziembo

We got to the place and waited awhile to be seated. We waited for almost an hour and was told the fryer went dead, but that was a little longer till after sitting for longer. The Manger said this was her 2nd day at the restaurant. She came from the training center on 122nd by the airport. We received our food for free. Due to the problem we had. The main problem was very poor service!!!!!

This is the second time I've gotten my To-Go order messed up at this place. Today I ordered two, double-patty burgers, and they both only came with one patty, and missing the sauce on one, this wouldn't be an issue if I didn't pay 6$ more on my bill, for an extra patty on both burgers. I will also note that my order was small. I wish the staff would check the food from the kitchen with the order of the customer, before giving to the customer.

  • Elaine Smith

The service was very friendly & efficient. The food was terrible. The appetizer sampler was overcooked. The stuffed hash browns tasted like fish. The poached eggs were disturbing, the yolk looked like it would be runny, yet, when you cut into the egg, it didn't run, meaning, it came out of the water ok, then, sat out too long and cooked with residual heat. Very dangerous for potential food poisoning. Would not eat here again.

  • Joy Ocobock

Service sucked! The waitress Sage didnt bother to stop long enough to take the order long enough to get it right to a mostly empty resturant so she could go behind the counter to flirt with the other server. Never came back to the table until the other half of the order didnt come.

Service was terrible. Was charged extra for hash browns that was supposed to come with my husbands breakfast order. They forgot completely on one person’s sandwich order & had to get the cook to make the blt, bread was hardly toasted. My husbands coffee was not refilled. Had to ask for refills whenever we could get the waiter & he would only fill it halfway

The cauliflower bites were Very salty, but also a good amount of spice. The staff was very attentive and nice. There was a shift change while I was there, but it seemed like a very smooth transition. The atmosphere was standard Shari's. The building is starting to show its age.

Shari's in Rockwood there to play a lil VP didn't order anything or really go in the dining area but from where I was it seemed kept up and wasn't very busy from what I could see of the dining area it was pretty clean the 2 servers on shift didn't seem too overwhelmed since there was only a couple tables sat. In the vp lounge we were the only 2 people in there which was great and pretty shocking.

  • Tomeeka

Good food, got the order right. Employee was training a new employee both did great. Kinda shocked me to learn that the employee's give change from their personal money and get reimbursed at the end of the day.... That's exactly what I was told by the trainer chick... Weirdest way of doing business on the financial aspect... But oh well, got great service and I didn't have to cook dinner!!

  • Kimberly Lehmann

I think they were training a new cook.... But .... Service was really slow. I ordered "duo" half sandwich and soup... My soup was luke warm and my grilled cheese had fuzz on it.... Like someone had put a towel against it and the static left fuzzy hair all over the surface.... Needless to say I won't be back.

New to PNW. So disappointed, even my kids wouldn't eat it. Hash browns were burnt on one side and mushy on the other side, "omelette" was the same as the "scramble" with sliced cheese miceowave melted on top, and portion sizes were not worth the $. Now we know Shari's isn't an option for eating out.

My friends & I would visit after every high school sports game we had this year and even came back once we graduated. We were always greeted with smiles and kindness and got the chance to make friends with some of the workers. The manager Joe always welcomed us in and talked and shared stories with us. Great service and we really enjoyed coming back throughout our senior years

  • Guinevere Vickers

The food wasn't horrible it just wasn't great. I got tomato and avocado eggs Benedict, my English muffin was straight out of the fridge cold. Despite saying no my coffee was refilled, which in the grand scheme isn't a big deal I just wasn't interested in staying till it cooled to a drinkable temp.

Service, food and customer service is at a very critical low at Shari's . I used to live this place. Now I don't even go there for anything but to play poker once in a while. But I usually don't stay to long because the employees are rude.

We just went in for breakfast, we were seated right away. The server asked for our drink orders and then left our table. We sat at our table for 15 minutes and no one brought drinks or stopped to take our order. They didn't come to say they be right over. They greeted every table around us. We left after we were passed by several wait staff and no one helped us.

Do not waste your money here. Their food is trash. I ordered through Uber Eats spent 40 bucks on food that I can't eat. I asked for medium WELL and damn near got rare. The stuffed hashbrowns were not cooked and chewy. The pancakes were cold to the touch and chewy. I tried contacting UE and got nowhere. Microwaving it just made it more gross. Lesson learned.

  • Erik Benson

Jenn was our server and I have to compliment her on her professional service. I came in late with my wife and was watching her hustling about 10 tables by herself for about 20 min until help showed up. All the while she was hustling she kept attentive to everything and everyone in the restaurant. This was an exceptional experience that I wanted to share.

  • Esteban R

Perhaps the worst dining experience of my life. Service was almost non existent. It was cold. The food must have sat under the heat lamp for 15 or 20 minutes before they took the time to bring it out. Food was Luke warm at best, skimpy, sloppy and bland as the day is long.

Outstanding service. We came in during a rush after churches let out. The hostess checked in every 3 or 4 minutes to let the people waiting an ETA. When we were seated the waitress kept in touch throughout the meal to see if we needed anything. Very impressed with service. The food was good. However pancakes were good in places not cooked through.

  • Eli PDX

Good ol' Shari's. Good for comfort food and pie. This was my first time at this location. The servers were nice and attentive. Took forever to get my food, though. It wasn't busy at all. But it wasn't our server's fault. It seemed like the kitchen was the problem. They also need to improve their procedure for accomidating someone in a wheelchair.

  • Mary Reid

Bought an apple pie for company dessert yesterday. Sliced half the pie and it was inedible. Apples were not done and so tart, we dumped our slices in the trash. I took the remaining pie in to return. The manager acted like I was trying to rob her because 4 slices were missing. Never doing business with Shari's again. Inexcusable customer service.

  • Margo Evans

They were short staffed, but the tall guy, 40ish, blue eyes and big smile ran his butt off handling the Friday 1 pm rush with flair. Excellent!! To the female cook, 40ish, all alone the food was hot and perfectly done, I say Thank you!! WILL RETURN SOON!

Food was good as usual. The service was the worst. The two servers did not check back with us to refill coffee, water or see if we needed anything else. I tried to get their attention on a few occasions with no luck. I actually had to go up to the counter and ask for assistance. Shari's at 1832 NE 122nd Ave, Portland, OR 97230.

  • Nathan Wolf

Went in for breakfast, had a sign on the door saying "Ask about our prime rib breakfast." Which I ended up doing. About 10 minutes AFTER I ordered, 5 minutes after I got my drink, only then was I informed that it was only at specific times. At that point I just decided to go somewhere else after paying for my drink of course.

  • Ariel Walter

The food was good, but our server Erin was great. It seemed like they were understaffed, but she was very happy. What really impressed me is that we had a special needs adult with us, and Erin was very polite and accommodating, and handled the constant questions and some interruptions very well. She's definitely a keeper!

  • Jay Meredith

35 minutes. From when my order was taken until I confronted our server. No food at the table. Moments later, our food. Cold. Well, not as if it came from a refrigerator, but not hot food. 3 tables in the restaurant. Our server was polite and gracious. Instead of an app, 2 breakfasts and 2 drinks, I'm having Lucky Charms.

This Shari's is the best Shari's of all! of them in the surrounding Portland area. I know that for a fact! The management and cooks are excellent. This is my favorite Shari's. I eat here twice a week. (Minimum). you will enjoy your visit here. sit back relax. chat. play with your phone. HEHEHEHE. Then eat a great meal.

They ran out of several dinner items. The vegetables were not fresh. In fact, the broccoli had black spots all over it. The mashed potatoes was like a lump of dough. The place was understaffed and the service was slow. I will never go back.

Great service but the chicken fried steak was obviously just a frozen patty. Without much flavor, the fruit was old and it was disapointing. First time out to breakfast in over a year...and people at another table were talking very loud about really gross topics...bedbugs....social skills have really disapeared lol.

Under staffed, Food is garbage. 1st... loaded baked potato is far from loaded or even baked. Steaks have fake grill marks and are rubbery. $5 for coors light that you have to wait 20 minutes for. Get real. No wonder they give free pie its to make up for the poor service and horrible food.

The server was an amazing lady and very kind. The menu had plenty of options, the food however was not as good as I expected this visit. The chicken was dry and steaks were very small. You get what you pay for as far as that goes. But the lemon meringue pie I got was absolutely amazing!

  • Chris Gann

Always friendly service. I rate places judging them for what they are vs what they are not. Shari's is always decent and dependable. I usually get breakfast and the food has been fresh and well prepared. Again, it's basically a high falutin greasy spoon but with really great pie.

  • Suzanne M Davis

The food was good and our waitress was helpful in that we asked for all kinds of things. She was very patient with us. I especially love that at 1230 the place was calm and fairly quiet. My family and I were pleasantly pleased and we had a good time. Thank you Shari's!

  • Phillip Ferrier

As good today as it was back in the 90s when I first went to one. Our waitress was kind and attentive, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it even looked like the picture the menu. An Oregon favorite with something for every diet any time of the day !

Pretty awful experience while at this Shari’s location. The only kind person was the hostess. The wait staff had no interest in helping us and practically threw down our plates. They never refilled our drinks or came to check on us. The food was also subpar.
