Honestly could not recommend Shiels highly enough, especially the wonderful Sarah at Macarthur Square! While shopping for an engagement ring, Sarah was lovely and kind, knowledgeable and never pushy. She went above and beyond to make sure I had the ring of my dreams, in record time. My partner proposed the week before I was heading overseas for work (great timing right? Haha) and we went shopping for the perfect ring, conscious that with tiny hands, it was unlikely to be able to get one before leaving. We explored around a number of stores, and while looking in the window at Shiels, were approached by a friendly sales lady, Sarah. She asked questions around what we were looking for and fully understood the mission, showing us a few options that met the criteria. I was immediately in love with one of them, but hadn't been to all the jewellers yet to make sure we'd seen all options, and Sarah openly encouraged us to look around, as she knew it was more important for us to know we had found the perfect ring, than it was for her to get a sale. Nothing quite compared to the ring at Shiels, both in design, quality and in price, however we knew it would need to get ordered in and take a couple of weeks and an alternative jeweller had a similar ring that they could have resized before I was due to travel. Whilst the ring was not quite as perfect as the one from Shiels, it was a major selling point. But we went back to Shiels for one last look at the ring and explained out conundrum to Sarah and that we were stuck on a decision between the two. Sarah knew how much I loved the ring and so without hesitation she tells us to come with her and walks us through the shopping centre with the ring to another jeweller she knew personally, where they were able to organise for the ring to be resized by the next afternoon! We were thrilled! Needless to say we were sold, and as we finalised the purchase, Sarah was just a delight. She was so friendly and so invested in helping us make the experience perfect. A massive shout out also to the lovely manager Misty, who gave us the care plan for free, on top of a great discount we already got from a sale that was happening that week. When I picked up the ring the next day I went back to show Sarah, and could see the genuine joy she felt for us and knowing she played such a pivotal role in it. We're so grateful to you Sarah! You're a one of a kind sales representative and just a beautiful human and we couldn't recommend you more highly!

I went into the store to complain about this and asked for a refund they proceeded to advise me that it just needed to be cleaned and it was my skin that caused this So I gave them the chain to clean and patiently waited in the store. The store was unable to successfully clean the chain and asked if they could send the chain away for assessment after waiting 3 weeks the store contacted me and advised me that the chain was in perfect condition and it just needed to be cleaned. Why sell a cleaning package with the product if it needs to be sent away to be cleaned gold should not do this and to make matters worse they even tried to sell me a cleaning solution and advised me to clean my chain every 2 weeks so this would not happen again. I will be taking this to fair trading
BUYER BEWARE!!!! This is my first and last experience with these thieves. I ordered three different pairs of earrings from their online store. Two days later I received my package. Inside that package was one pair of earrings (thankfully those most expensive of the three ordered). I initially thought that the one box might have housed all three pairs of earrings, but no - just the one. I immediately contacted the store through the online help asking where the balance of the items were. After much two-ing and fro-ing through emails, Shiels has advised that they did send three items and if I am not happy with that outcome, that I am more than welcome to contact the ACCC. Needless to say I am disgusted with their "customer service". I never received those two pairs of earrings and I am out of pocket for quite a big sum of money that I cannot afford to lose. NEVER AGAIN!
The experience i had here was horrible. I asked to see a wedding ring and the lady was just trying to hurry me up. I was deciding between two rings and I preferred the look of the cheaper one and she kept trying to push the expensive one saying its way better. She even tried to lie and tell me the cheaper one was 18k when I knew it was! And after pushing her to answer she admitted it was. Then the worst part was she told me the size N was the right fit for me even though there was clearly soo much room, it was literally falling off my finger! And after saying no my other ring is a J she went off and whispered to her colleague as if I was being unreasonable. Its a simple request to resize it to a size I want. When the other lady came over she finally let me try the sizing rings and she agreed I need a J. Worst experience ever.
I purchased 2 18k white gold and diamond rings from here. After just a few weeks the white gold plating has worn off one of the rings and the band turned very yellow. I emailed them through the website no response after 2 weeks. I then emailed them directly asking what can be done as with simple care the white gold plating should last always a year but most cases 2-3 years. They wrote back and asked for photos which I sent immediately clearly showing the issue. The response I received was unbelievable! This person told me that the plating can wear off after just a few weeks. I will not be buying anything from this place again and I warn every one to avoid purchasing any of their white gold product's as they will not last and are not good quality.
Please be aware of products that you buy from Shiels. I bought this necklace hastily last week (28/11) from Macarthur Square and tried to get a refund today (5/12) because of all the black spots. I noticed the back spots on Monday when I looked at the necklace and called the store, who asked me to bring it in. They just cleaned and said they can't give a refund. The necklace has still got some of the black spots. Apparently there's no warranty. The sales person said although the online store says refund, the actual store is different and does not refund. I will be writing to Consumer Affairs about this, but you all be aware!
I truly feel sorry for the staff and temp manager Lara B; so bitter and twisted at her age. Lara B presents nastily, really scrapped the bottom of the barrel with her. I cringe to think what damage is done to the Shiels brand. Lara B's bile for service is the official gargoyle of the Macarthur store, a stain rotten to the core and with so many corresponding experiences, so many bad reviews, all signs point to the bad smell. (It's Lara B). Fellow customers who have had the unfortunate displeasure of being treated to her snarl, know you are not alone and please reach out to Shiels Area Manager to provide your feedback.
Went in over the weekend to experience terrible customer service. Rude and pushy for the sales. No experience clearly shown in customer service, obviously wanted the sale and that was it, customer service was so appalling. Staff were having a good chat at the computers instead of paying attention. No wonder why this place has so many bad reviews even on there Facebook page. I’m extremely put off with this jewellery experience I had. Will never return to this place ever again. People should go elsewhere to other jewellers in the center as they have good intent for there buyers, PLEASE DONT SHOP AT SHEILS!
I don't always write reviews, but doing this cause of an amazing experience. Was here yesterday to buy a 'single' bracelet for our one year old nephew. Met your staff Nathaniel. He was presentable, convincing with great knowledge of Shiels' range of products and advice and assistance to recommend your products. We ended up coming back today because of him, and ended up getting gifts for the parents and siblings aswell. He's a great asset to your business. Thank you.
Service at store is horrid. Lara B & Lara S specifically, one mistakenly made manager. Both unskilled, inexperienced, uncouth, dead eyed. Jewellery is cheaper than most stores but with gift recipients ears itching after one wear it's evident why. Beware of reviews written by store and partners. *Update* I upgraded two stars as Nathaniel, area manager and other new staff at the store are lovely. He treated me kindly, no aggression or combativeness like old staff.
Highly recommend Michelle & Misty for your jewellery needs! Michelle went above and beyond to assist me in finalizing an engagement ring & took the time to explain the differences between each ring. She also managed to accelerate the re-sizing of the ring to fit my partners finger. Went above and beyond in my opinion. Will definetly be returning for more jewellery from Michelle in the future! I have to say Sarah at Shiela MacArthur square went way past above and beyond to help us! Her customer service was great. She was so helpful that it was a nice change compared to customer service at other stores. I hope managers will read this so they can act accordingly and do something for Sarah and not just her but Maria also! Great staff and even better prices! 10/10 thank you!

MacArthur square store. Sarah has treated us each visit with kind friendly second to none customer service. Looked after us on price and had our best interest at heart. Have dealt with Misty also in the past and the other staff have always been 10/10 in their customer service.
Spoke to Michelle on the phone today, she put aside my purchase as I told her I was more than 1 hour away, she said not to worry. Got there in time and the staff were very polite and friendly. I will be back for more purchases. So pleased with my purchase.
Bought a piece of jewellery online and found it didn't fit. Went into the store to get a refund as they didn't have the size I was looking for. The sales assistant was helpful and polite. However the manager was rude, ignorant and dismissive.

Appalled by level of customer service. Was interested in buying a gold bracelet for a Christmas present. There were 4 workers and not one had acknowledged me or made eye contact. Just lost a sale and customer.

Jewelries are at good price and have nice designs. Staff are rude during holiday seasons. Claiming that they are busy, they refuse to show you items unless you will make sure that you buy them.
