A big thank you to Emma for being being amazing with our son for his first shoe fitting. The experience was great and she really focused on our son rather than rushing you to purchase and move on to the next. She made our son comfortable and he was enjoying having fun while getting his shoes fitted. Emma also provided handy advice on what shoes we should be getting for him while he is still learning to walk (as first time parents this isn't something you think of), overall we loved our experience! We definitely will be bringing our son back for more shoes next year before our holiday and throughout his growth. Thank you again Emma :)

Shopped here many times for the kids. Was in store 11am on 21/1/23 and was chastised by a young dark haired female employee for placing our child on the fitting chair. We removed our child and continued to browse and she again told us to “get in the queue “while we were looking at the shelves minding our own business. There was no queue evident and have never been spoken too in such a rude manner. Management need to educate this employee about customer service. Disgraceful. We won’t be back for any of our kids again because of this!

Another excellent experience at S&S Hornsby. My son who was born during the first lockdown and had not been exposed much to public spaces has now had 2 shoe fittings in which he has been very distressed and the staff have been so patient and caring, ensuring that we feel comfortable and leave with a great product each time. It is so lovely when staff really understand little people and their big emotions. Also fitted my daughter beautifully with shoes, she was shy to start and really warmed to the lovely man that helped us.

We always come here for our school shoes each year (usually a little earlier to avoid the rush). I felt sorry for the staff as there should have been a plan or more staff today as it was the last day before school and it was pandemonium. I would suggest just having one parent per child attend booking and one person on the cash register to do payments and help with random questions and the rest fitting shoes. Despite this always good staff and great shoes.

We had just recently purchased shoes for my daughter. And we had gone back to get another pair of similar shoes. There was a lady there who was really helpful (very charming lady). She even suggested cleaning options for the current pair as well. You feel welcome when you speak to individuals like her. This was on Saturday 7th march, and we had bought the ciao sandals for my 2 yr old. This is our 3rd purchase this year from shoes and sox.

Excellent service. The staff worked extremely well together and seemed aware of the status of each customer ie who's being served, who's next in line - please head over here etc etc. Very efficient and friendly; which is great when buying school shoes the week before school starts. Would definitely recommend going here again. I only went there as it was recommended by another Mum. I usually shop elsewhere for school shoes; not anymore!

Our first shoe purchase experience for our Kid was just AWESOME at Shoes and Sox, Hornsby store. The staff members not only helped us with choosing the right shoe they also helped with fitting and our little one didn't even CRY! How awesome is that?! HOWEVER, I would like to see them have some sort of competitive pricing as a store adjacent to them was offering 20% off on the similar brand shoes.

I took both my primary school aged daughters to Shoes and Sox Hornsby today and we had a great experience. We were looked after by Shona and she really was one of best shop assistants that I have encountered with kids. So impressed by her - I normally don’t write reviews but really felt that she deserved to be recognised for her professionalism and helpfulness. Thanks Shona!

Extremely rude (Sat 29 Apr, 12:30pm). My wife asked the female assistant for help. The response? "Sorry I'm busy" with a rude tone. She didn't look busy, and was just standing there waiting while another customer tried on shoes. You need to be able to multitask a little bit in retail, and at the very least be polite to customers. We went elsewhere.

Good shoes are extremely important to me as growing legs and feet need to develop correctly to avoid future problems. This is not a Kmart and will never have Kmart prices, but the ladies here are fantastic and patient and are a pleasure to deal with. I save up and spend on good pairs of shoes instead of getting a multitude of cheaper ones.

The trainee fitter who helped us was so lovely. She was so patient and everything she checked with her supervisor was spot on. Really grateful for staff who understand how quickly children grow and are supportive for going up a size, without the shoes being miles too big! (so they don't grow out of them in 3 months!!)

It was such an easy & smooth experience. We managed to get both of my girls a new pair of shoes. Emma was so lovely with every step of the way; from the choice making, to the entertaining, and the interaction and communication with my little ones. Couldn’t have done it without the help, I’m super thankful :)

Covid safe check in, with appointments. They were pretty much on time. The lady who served me was lovely and sweet with my granddaughter. Unfortunately they didn't stock the sandal I was originally after that I researched on their online website, but we did leave with another pair that fitted well.

The lady had a badge “store manager “. She gave us excellent service from the minute I stepped in to store. She didn’t have the shoe I wanted, so she contacted the Macquarie Center store and asked them to keep the shoe for me. I thought that was just so kind. Thank you for great customer care.

We were thrilled with the service we recieved from Shoes & Sox Hornsby. Emma B was patient and professional while fitting my son. He was running around the store pretending to be a gorilla but we were still able to come away with a pair of new school shoes and runners! What a legend.

Poor service for a Saturday only 2 staff on and 17 minutes wait time to be fitted by a rude, young and smug guy who refused to do a proper fitting and measure my son's shoe size! I'm definitely going to go to Forbes moving forward. Better service and more professional staff.

Very good service, your staff member Elyssa was very thorough and patient and good with kids. Prices are about what you would expect for school shoes but we have always found the quality to be very good. EDIT - it was Elyssa at the Hornsby store, not Alissa at Northland.

We walked in 10 minutes prior to the store shutting last night. We'd rushed in after a prior appointment and were worried we wouldn't make it in time. Regardless of it being so late, the lady who served us was welcoming and helpful for which we were really grateful.

Booked shoe fitting and the lady at the store was gentle and patient. Fitted my son’s shoe and the whole process was hussle free. Didn’t have Pablosky in stock which I wanted but she recommended other brands which are of same quality. Very thankful.

Very bad service if you don't have an appointment. 2 of the ladies just service 1 customer each and ignore the surroundings. No one cares who you are and what you need. Wait 10+ mins, and not hear a 'hi', Really disappointed.

It was quite busy for the back to school rush, but the QR line system worked very well and we got in with minimal waiting. Staff member who assisted was great with our girls and made sure the fit was right. Great experience.

Emma was super helpful and lots of fun whilst helping my daughter try on some boots for winter. I have been coming to the Hornsby store since it opened and have always found the staff their super helpful and friendly.
