I just tried to write an objective review of this pharmacy with details of a few recent experiences to support my poor assessment. After spending about 15 minutes carefully writing a review I was unable to post it because my "characters exceeded the maximum allowed" or words to that effect, I will shorten my comments. Since I can't provide the backup, I will simply say that I have, until recently, been a loyal and dedicated customer of this pharmacy. However, my most recent three or four visits have caused me to leave this pharmacy and never return. Although the apparent manager is friendly, likeable and he seems to be concerned, general staff care and concern is sadly lacking. Although such a poor attitude and poor performance are excusable for employees of a candy store, they are not excusable for professionals like pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who deal with potentially life and death matters. During a meeting I had with the pharmacy manager this afternoon I informed me how a pharmacy employee had repeatedly lied to me this morning about a fictitious pharmacy policy I had never previously been informed of. He agreed that what the employee had informed me was untrue. If I had more space I would say much more. If you want good and reliable service, don't use the Shoppers Marda Loop pharmacy. THIS IS AN UPDATE TO THE ABOVE REVIEW I POSTED APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS AGO. The good news is that since then, Google has sent me messages indicating that my review has been read by hundreds of readers since then. The other good news is that my subsequent dealings with the nearby London Drugs pharmacy have been great, and incredibly superior to what I experienced with the Marda Loop Shoppers Drugs pharmacy during the last two years prior to my decision to finally move on. The harsh reviews of this pharmacy posted subsequent to mine confirm that nothing has changed at the pharmacy notwithstanding the apparent AI generated apologies generated by Shoppers customer care. Stay away!!!
I believe that google reviews are here to reward good service and expose bad practices. The whole concept of sharing your experiences with others is freeing and rewarding. Nowadays with a few clicks we can learn so much about a business and decide if we would like to spend our hard earned cash there or avoid it like the plague. So, I recently started giving ratings to stores and restaurants I visit. I am not a difficult person and I always try to remain positive. I believe my reviews reflect that. I rarely give low scores. Today I wanted to talk about my local Shoppers I have been going to for years and it’s recent decline. There has been a massive employee turnover which suggests some serious managerial problems. And I’m gonna be frank here, the management of this store is subpar. It seems like they used to care when I first started visiting the store but nowadays they are just shambling zombies trying to get through the day. I just don’t communicate with them anymore, I used to stop for a chat but nowadays they make you feel unwelcome. This is by far my longest review because I believe that the person responsible for this store is beyond incompetent and judging by all the negative reviews I’m not the only one who thinks that. I don’t have much hope for the store unless its leader changes his managerial style or is replaced. I remain optimistic and believe things can still turn around but personally I am not coming back...
Update: the situation with staffing has definitely improved over the past several months. This is strongly reflected in the level of customer care at the pharmacy. Upgraded from 2 stars to 4 stars. Original post: There are a couple of excellent pharmacy technicians working here who obviously keep the pharmacy from devolving into complete chaos. Should they ever leave I'm not sure the pharmacy could even function, as staffing has been a revolving door over the past couple years and management appears to be too inept to address the obvious issues. Management seems to not even understand that ensuring there are enough competent staff to answer the phone is crucial to keeping loyal customers. Too bad, this used to be a top notch pharmacy where the customers were well known and their needs taken care of. Yes we all know that COVID disrupted everything to do with health care but this issue was apparent even before COVID hit. There comes a point where management needs to step up, adapt and respond to the new reality. Building a strong team around the few remaining competent staff before they lose them too would be a good start. The revolving staff door isn't going to accomplish that, it's only going to send repeat customers like myself looking for somewhere else to take care of their needs.
Today our family moved our business away from the Shoppers Pharmacy. After one too many poor experiences with various individuals behind the counter we had enough. I have always believed that if you are in a position where you have a ethical and moral responsibility that communication is paramount. Individuals MUST know that they can trust and rely on individuals such as their pharmacist and their team to take care of sensitive and often important points to one’s health. It is a SERIOUS responsibility. And it is one that I DO NOT believe this pharmacy views as important. When you commit to taking care of one’s health you should FULLY take on that responsibility. From ridiculous wait times on the phone to poor social etiquette/bed side manner on the phone to simply not following up when it comes to important prescriptions is unacceptable. Being in a position of power and the responsibility of patient care is NOT something I feel was done with our family. BE VERY CAREFUL if you decide to use this pharmacy. Ask questions, ensure your prescriptions can be filled. And ensure you ask for clear and direct communication regarding delays.
The clerk at the front today had a bad attitude and rolling her eyes as my partner ask for questions. Very bad costumer service. I been having issues every time I come in lately. I been living In marda loop for 4 years and this location as gone down hill and very poor costumer service. The pharmacy is equally as bad. I was just out of the hospital a while back and the doctor at the emergency had forget to sign my prescription. I was so weak and did not realize till I went to get my prescription. The lady at the counter was awful and basically called me a drug attic. Till I realize it was the emergency that made a mistake. Went back to the emergency, they apologized and fixed it. They told me she could of just call the hospital and they could of fix it over the phone and fax… I was to weak to deal with it and I do not get my prescription there anymore. Now I won’t use this location at all. I work costumer service and this is not the way to properly deal with clients. The young girl at the counter needs to be trained to have better manners or not work costumer service. Very disappointed in general from this entire location.
Although I’ve been going to this shoppers drug mart and have loved it and their products for years, as we’ve become teens we’ve begun to have negative experiences with one of your workers. We continue to be stereotyped as shoplifters and are being followed around and critiqued for everything we do whilst shopping. This women of which I believed is known as Sabrina has been very passive aggressive and rude to us. She has told us to stop talking with each other even if these conversation regard our potential purchases. We have been continuously rushed out of the store after five minutes and have consistently been told to stop walking around with products we want to buy when that seems like a normal shopping habit to me. I don’t believe this women should be fired, but I think there is a conversation that needs to be had with this employee surrounding your customer service values as this has been going on for years and I feel as though this store is not hearing us out and does not care about our experience and well being within this environment.
Walked out the last three visits, either due to no cashier or feeling claustrophobic. Recent negative reviews are justified and Loblaw’s would do well to investigate the team culture at this location. In my experience staff have been at best blunt and disinterested or worse rude and seemingly purposefully unhelpful. This location also never seems to have sale prices posted - I visited in the middle of the day on the last day of a sale and they had no flyers and all tags were removed. Carts of stock are often everywhere and staff stocking don’t yield to customers, and I’ve been bumped into and pushed into shelves by staff not paying attention. I hope this location turns around as I can walk there but I prefer to drive to the Chinook or Richmond Road locations. I should also note I tried to give this location another chance but am continually refused service and directed to use self checkouts. I don’t use self checkouts as a point of personal principle, and to be refused regular cashier service is just unacceptable.
The pharmacy is pretty terrible at this location. I’ve only been going here during covid because my regular pharmacy is closed. Not once have they asked to see my ID, told me anything about my prescriptions, or asked if I have any questions. The last time I filled I got 16/180 pills and didn’t realize until I got home because no one told me. I wasn’t thrilled to have to make an extra unnecessary trip during covid... had I known they were short I would’ve just come when they had the whole prescription ready. I called them a week later to see if they had my missing pills and they said the rest of my prescription was filled and waiting for me, and acknowledged that someone was supposed to call me but didn’t. I let them know I would come the next day but when I got there, the pharmacist couldn’t find my prescription for 15 minutes. And didn’t seem to believe me until he finally found it. The person behind me let me know they were switching pharmacies because they had had such poor experiences here.
I will try to keep this short. The pharmacy staff at this location aren’t very helpful. It took them over a month to fill my prescription I'm supposed to be taking daily. Why did it take so long? They told me it was ready to pick up. I go in, they tell me they don't even have the script let alone haven't even started filling it. What Happens next? They tell me to call my doctor and get it sent over. So I do this. My doctor sent it over right away. Days go by. Nothing from shoppers. call them, they still don't have it! Call the doc again, they sent it for sure. They said they would send again. Shoppers still screwed it up somehow. I Tell them No More and figure it out amongst yourselves, as they should. They call me a month later saying they have the script and its ready to be picked up. I go in. It's not ready. The pharmacy staff say it'll be 10 mins. I waited over an hour For one prescription. This is a constant occurrence with them.
This pharmacy only has one decent pharmacist, Amita, she is intelligent, and treats people with respect. Yurith may be okay. The rest of them are very rude, and condescending, unimaginative - i.e., can't put two and two together, and feel that they are more intelligent than their clients, and, therefore, feel that they have a right to treat people rudely - dismissing what they say. They don't realize that they are ignorant too. Moreover, their first Covid-19 vaccine survey is embarrassing as it includes a double-barreled question - big oops for those who may actually need to use the data from it. In one question they essentially ask, is this your second shot, and if so have you had any ill effects from the first? With a box to answer yes/no. This should at least be separated into 2 different questions as to not confuse the person collecting - or trying to use - the data. :-(
I strongly advise you choose to visit another pharmacy. Your prescription drugs won't be ready for pickup even if you were given notification for pickup. Phone calls are nonexistent as they hang up on you upon being on hold. I normally wouldn't be bothered to put up any reviews but to see the frustration of customers coming in after me (6 different customers by the time we were helped) all with the same issue of drugs either forgotten or incorrect notifications of the order being ready is simply unacceptable. A priority list is simply nonexistent even if you submitted in your prescriptions well in advance. What's worse is that they lie in front of you with the excuse of giving a couple minutes to easily half hour/ hour wait as they continue to become backed up by the next customer. Most of us are understanding. Don't lie, take responsibility and hire more capable staff.
There was a female supervisor who worked this evening and she was so so rude. I bought two headphones, both faulty and returned within the hour... I went to buy a 3rd pair hoping these ones would charge properly as per the instructions and she told me I can't just buy headphones and return them and if I bought these 3rd ones and they didn't work, I couldn't return them. I told her I was more than happy to plug in the ones I was returning to show that they weren't working and talk through it but she said she couldn't (because they're not a 'technical' store) and I should go to Roger's. She said she knows how to research items and I should learn how to do that. So yeah, probably the worst customer service I think I've ever had with staff making up their own return policies.
NOT WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY. They have an entrance beside the pharmacy, where injured or disabled people may need to go, which they locked and shut down to put up shoddy vaccine booths. This makes the people who have to park in the handicapped spaces for the building walk all the way around to the front - a very long walk. They are most likely breaking the fire code by locking these doors, and they are aware they are discriminating against those who are mobility challenged but do not care. An employee named Sabrina tried to say there were no other entrances as they are a 'small store', but the other closed entrance beside the handicapped parking is plain to see. Shame on you, Shoppers and Sabrina for brushing off valid feedback of your customers who need it the most.
How do I give 0 stars. I went in to get a specific hair bleach. When I came in carrying a bag (full of groceries) the security woman instantly started following me. Not sure if having green hair means im out to rip you off. Im middle aged . She made it so obvious I told her flat out I'm not here to steal. She had attitude so I told her I've read all the online reviews of her and I'm here to shop so feel free to follow me. I said "come on" and she screamed I was to get out. I tried to put back what I had in my hand but she screamed louder. As I left I stepped out of the way of another customer trying to enter. More screaming. "Get out...LEAVE" refused to let me speak to manager and then gave me the middle finger. Never shop here. I'm so embarrassed
Like many of the other reviews posted, I continue to have repeated issues with this pharmacy and will be moving my prescriptions elsewhere. As others have shared, I have had emergency prescriptions called in from my doctor and they are never ready when I come in despite instructions to fill right away. Even when I have called to ask for Rx to be ready they are almost never filled before I arrive. They also had an issue recently billing my insurance company because they could not find my surgeon's license number, but his license was on the prescription paperwork they gave me. The experiences every time I come in to this pharmacy are frustrating and maddening and I will be seeking services elsewhere from now on.
Always, always superbly clean store. Staff are friendly and helpful. With an underground parkade (be careful it is tight coming out through the enter/exit and is only one way so turn right when exiting) and free underground parking which is an anomaly in itself but much appreciated in winter months. The isles are set up to find items with ease and always, always great deals. Don't discount them because they are a drug store because if you watch you'll even notice you get better deals here than you do on many items found in Walmart and Dollarama (toothpaste, deoderant, body and hand soaps et cetera). No post office though if your expecting to find one here but there is one right across the street next to Winks.
Came in at 9:30pm to buy childrens tylenol and Halloween candy. Incompetent female security guard in her 40s with black and red hair started following me as I approached the aisle with medication. She stood by the pharmacy just watching me look for what I needed. As soon I as started to leave, she stopped me and told me to empty my pockets and then asked me if I was recording her. I have never experienced this at other shoppers locations or other retail shops. It definitely felt like she was profiling, as she didn't stop a single person the whole time I was there other than me because I’m young and a person of colour. I’m not sure which security company she works for, but she definitely needs to be fired:)
Terrible pharmacy service!!!! I had a trip and called for early morning rapid Covid test and they mentioned its only walk ins and no need to book an appointment! I was the first one and noone was there, but it took 47 minutes for the pharmacist to wonder around and pretending to doing a job!!!!!! There were two other customers complaining to the manager and the pharmacist didnt care about the customer satisfaction!!! It takes 15seconds to do the test!!!! It was ridiculous the way he treated the customers!!! Dont ever book your test. I havent had a star review ever and its my first one which is the worst experience! Think he felt I was in rush and worked like sloths!
Over the years I've baught countless makeup from here. For photo shoots... for events.. pageants. Not to mention parties. It didn't matter how I looked when I walked in there. Their service has always been impeccable. They were so close to home they were my go to. Didnt matter who worked. They saved my life all my life and for some of the most important city events I took part in. I wish them the best and lots of blessings. You guys were a big part of my life. I still drop by when I'm in the area. You guys are great. Thanks for always being their for me. You guys are definitely a city icon. Mad love. Marda loop days.(When the city was alive)
The pharmacy just gets a huge fail from me. Complete mess here. I’ve been using this pharmacy for almost 2 years and it’s just horrible. All the pharmacy workers have different rules and protocols of how things are done. Always contradicting each other. Put you on hold for 10 plus minutes every time you call and are rude about it. I was actually on hold for 15 mins today then a lady answered said she was going to check the fax and came back … another 15 mins later she comes back and didn’t even realize it was me. After informing her I’d been waiting 30 mins she put me back on hold. Like seriously get it together. This place is horrible.
I would not recommend this pharmacy. I've never had so many issues consistently with a pharmacy, and the vibe is SO chaotic at all times which I've never seen in a pharmacy. When you call they often sound so rush and immediately put you on hold for a long time to the point where you just hang up. Every time I have ordered medication they tell me it will be ready at a certain time and I come later then they say to give them time (even the next day) and they have no record of me ordering anything so I have to wait a long time every single time. I've never had this issue at any other location or pharmacy and will be switching pharmacies.
Okay. Whoever the rounder lady is with red hair, glasses, and a patterned cloth mask, she provided me with the most KIND customer service - despite the fact that she is a karen. I was stunned by the time she took out of her own personal agenda to make sure I exited the store promptly! She did not pressure me at all and she was working with a beautiful smirk hidden under her mask She single-handedly made my shoppers experience tonight HIGHLY memorable. Love you girl p.s: even though the store closes at 10, LEAVE by 9:55. PPS: don’t get in the elevator to leave and come back up, they’ll all be watching you…
Horrible customer service. Tonight I visited this shoppers and my experience was awful. As I walked up to the main till, I was told by a clerk that self checkout was an option. I often use self checkout as I usually pay with a card, but wanted to pay for my purchase tonight with cash. I politely explained that I wanted to use cash, which was rudely followed by an audible sigh (which I could very well hear through a mask).. as if I was inconveniencing the employee for choosing this option…. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this location with this employee… Please improve your customer service. Thank you.
If you like frustrations and disappointments this is the pharmacy for you! While the staff are overall pleasant the entire operation is completely over stretched. In my experience they are constantly forgetting/improperly filling orders, it is never ready when they say it will be and sometimes it doesn't get filled at all. If there were any suitable alternative at all - I would take my wealth of prescriptions elsewhere. While this should concern them, it doesn't as they know they are pretty much the only choice in pharmacies open late. Can't wait until they are replaced by the robots!
The costumer service is wonderful, everyone there is lovely but RUDE and TERRIBLE PHARMACY, I had called in to ask about related vaccine questions and the man on the other line cut me off before I could even ask a question (not to get an appointment as I already have one but to ask about something regarding the vaccine.) and proceeded to tell me they do not have vaccine and to go somewhere else. Plain rude. Did not even bother listening to what I was about to ask. Seriously go somewhere else or call someone else as this pharmacy will give you rude attitude and poor costumer service.
The 1 star is for the pharmacy. The rest of the staff has been welcoming. To the pharmacy: Please don’t act like me getting my prescription is such a burden to you. I feel as I’m being shamed for having a prescription when I come here. I have been met with rudeness and impatience with several staff members in the pharmacy. One of the male pharmacists even had the nerve to challenge my fiancés GP on her prescription stating the dosage wasn’t right for her to which he tried to deny her a refill… I highly recommend you fill your prescriptions or seek pharmaceutical help elsewhere.
The pharmacy is beyond incredibly rude!!! They don’t answer the phone and the new pharmacist and the new rude staff are unreal.. that was my pharmacy for 6 years and the head pharmacist is so rude that I will be advising anybody who is willing to listen don’t bother with these rude, slow moving and ignoring people… they don’t care about you or your health only money and wow because it’s such a busy location they don’t care about customer service. Worst and laziest and rude people I have ever encountered ever
By far the worst pharmacy team in Canada (yes, not just the city). As many post on here say, the entire pharmacy team is rude, inconsiderate, and has no solid understanding of customer service. My final straw was the pharmacist working the evening shift on September 23rd. After missing my fax refill screamed over me when I questioned the error. That I tolerated such inept service for years is on me. This post is to warn anyone of even considering given this place business. One star is generous.
I am fairly new to Calgary and the Marda Loop area. I recently used the Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy for my COVID shots. I found the staff (and pharmacist/store owner) helpful and I was well taken care of. Even though the demand and stress is very high right now, the staff remained calm, friendly and took the time to make sure I was comfortable. I also take advantage of the great weekly specials there as well. Always good to recognize a local business when they are doing a good job.
Stopped by to see the pharmacist for a recommendation on something that would help clear up a stye on my eyelid. I had it for a few days and the usual warm compress was not working so well. Spoke briefly with Bakir , in the pharmacy. He quickly suggested a prescription for some eye drops. After a short wait, i was on my way with the recommendation from Bakir. In just over one day it helped clear up the annoying and uncomfortable infection. THANK YOU Bakir!!!
Shoppers Drug mart Marda loop is my go to for all cosmetic s and skin care. The staff at the beauty boutique lead by Cheryl are friendly and knowledgeable. I even got a call from the team during the pandemic asking if I had any concerns that I’d like to discuss. I would highly recommend this branch. In general it a great store and the pharmacist is helpful too. A big thank you to the staff at Marda loop, especially during this difficult times! June G
I have been going to this pharmacy for over 7 years. I completely understand the situation of the pandemic, and staffing. Everyone has always been lovely but I’m home with a sick toddler and 9 months pregnant. I needed to check a prescription and was on hold for over an hour. Then called back and another 20 mins no one has even picked up the line. It’s extremely frustrating, the app doesn’t work well and just unhappy with the customer service.
The phone line frequently shows as "line busy" and when trying to transfer to the pharmacy the call has been dropped more times than I can count. Edit: Clearly they haven't been reviewed properly because myself and my soon to be new pharmacist at london drugs (their phone lines work) haven't been able to even get the greeting message to get through to this location for over the last hour. He had to fax you!!!! HA! Good riddance.
Customer service does not exist here. It is sad because it is my local drug store but would rather go to safeway pharmacy or any other place now. Many times I have gone in and either been accused of stealing (I am a working professional and I don't have that in me to do) or simply ignored when I ask for help. The staff are very passive aggressive or just angry in general. Sad to say they have lost my business.
The amount of issues I’ve had at this pharmacy is astounding. Consistently the Worst service I’ve ever had, and have been brought to tears more than once by their revolving door of staff. I have been told to wait and have been forgotten about on more than one occasion, during non busy times. Will be leaving this pharmacy for somewhere else, I’ve been told to “give us another chance” one time too many.
I live in the neighbourhood & have been going to this Shoppers for years. Boutique staff are good, store is clean & organized. Yes, the pharmacy can be very busy but I’ve never had any issues. I’ve had covid tests & vaccines, flu shots, filled many perceptions & received helpful advice from the pharmacy. Yourith is the best travel pharmacist I’ve found! Very throughout & knowledgable.
There is a lady behind the pharmacy counter here who is consistently rude and terse with customers. I recently spoke to a couple of neighbours about it and they both knew exactly who I was talking about. This lady belongs working for the government, but not a store where I have options. After years going here, I will be driving to a different non-Shoppers Pharmacy.
i had gone to get some toiletries and decided to look for cosmetic products and the security detail present was snooping around and glaring at my hands and even stood behind me and stared at what i was doing while i paid. worst part was they told me to ‘stop loitering and to take that elsewhere’ when i stopped to chat with a friend who also happened to be there.
This review is about the Pharmacy. Nice people who work here in person, but their phone service is terrible. Don't bother calling in as they simply won't pick up or keep you on hold indefinitely. I Just needed to call to refill a prescription but they kept putting me on hold until I eventually gave up, this isn't the first time it happened either.
This is the absolute worst pharmacy in Calgary. The staff are SO rude and regardless of if you give them 10 hours notice you will still stand there and wait for your prescriptions as they are never ready when they say they will be. Safeway pharmacy is 2 minutes away and a million times better. Don’t give this pharmacy the time of day. Brutal.
I appreciate that you have remained working at a job dealing with the public as many healthcare positions have been abandoned. Life as we knew it has changed - but you carry on and continue to provide help for others. Customer service and dealing with the public is demanding and under appreciated. Thank you for your service and dedication.
I thought this place would be convenient because I lived nearby. But this is the most chaotic pharmacy I’ve ever been to. You will never reach them by phone, so if you need a top up of a prescription while waiting for a doctor’s appointment, you have to go in to tell them. There are lots of other good pharmacies in the neighborhood.
Terrible pharmacy service don't even bother. They won't pick up the phone for a prescription refill. I was told by the other pharmacy I had to switch to they don't even pick up the phone to allow a transfer so once you move you prescriptions to them good luck. Do yourself a favour and save your time. Pick another local pharmacy.
I went to the store several times so far, and was almost always treated nicely, except once. The stuff seems nice (I haven’t been to the pharmacy yet, so not sure). I wanted to get pads on sale earlier today but noticed that there were packs left for one item, and both of them were already open. Not sure how it happened.
I am done shopping here because of your security guard that follows regular customers around like they are trying to steal. He needs to get a real life. I see the hard times people get here from the ignorant red head lady to the security guard I’ve witnessed so much ignorance towards people. I am done here never again
DO NOT GO HERE FOR A COVID VACCINE I sent my 17 year old to Shoppers Marda Loop for a covid shot. After the vaccine was given he received no paperwork. Alberta health information did not show any information about the vaccine. No Lot # or expiry date. Looks like Fraud to me?? Sad when they take advantage of children.
One of the cleanest Shoppers locations I've experienced. I also like the employment mobility for floor staff. Over the years we noticed floor staff moving to Pharm tech positions. Impressive. We are less impressed with generic Loblaws food products and miss some of the Life brand products but such is progress...
female security guard is extremely rude. went in to buy some necessities and the security personnel followed my friends and i around the store. asked us to “stop loitering” and even stood right behind us as we paid. i understand the issue with people stealing, but this seemed like profiling.
There was a rep there, I believe her name was Zoe, who went out of her way to help me find the painkillers that would work best for me. She was polite the whole time and went above and beyond what I’d ever expect from a shoppers rep. Best experience I’ve ever had at this shoppers
This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. They never answer their phone and the people behind the counter are rude and uncaring. The Shoppers franchise should definitely sell this location to someone else. People should also complain to the Alberta Board of Pharmacists.
The customer service is very, very poor at this location! If you try to call in a prescription, the automated system puts you on hold for an eternity. With all the other pharmacies in the City as competition, you would think they would cherish their customers a lot more.
I visited to get my Flu shot. The wait room was full, so I asked the pharmacy staff how long it takes to get the shot she responded approximately 20 minutes .I filled the form and in less than 10 minutes I got my shot. the pharmacist was professional and courteous.
The pharmacists need to chill out at home not at their workplace. Made me wait 45 mins to get a medicine that's already packaged and over their aisle. Shame on you lazy incompetent people for wasting people's time. No wonder why you guys have horrible ratings.
Don’t waste your time on this location. It’s the 3rd time prescription is not ready when you get there. My God I don’t like to leave a negative review but this location has serious problem. Save this location there are some good employees right there.
Please avoid this pharmacy. Until they have better protocols in place you will inevitably have a bad experience. Also I do not care for their copy and paste response to all bad reviews that says to reach out to them. This has been going on for years.
I've never had so many issues with a pharmacy in my life. On multiple occasions I have faxed in a prescription, gotten text confirmation of it being filled, CALLED to double check, then showed up and been told it's not filled and they need
we went to shoppers to get some makeup and nails. The woman working at the time with red hair was so rude, this is not the first encounter with this monster. She automatically assumed we were stealing which we respect all businesses. I was
the only shoppers I've ever been to that has told me there's a limit on how many of an item I can buy (the same item I was just told a single individual bought them out of stock lol) what a joke, I'd be embarrassed if that was my location.
This pharmacy always seems stretched very thin, but oddly for years have not seemed to hire enough people. The problem that I have most is with the lack of customer service, they seem annoyed that I’m even dropping my prescription off.
The pharmacy isn’t what it used to be. I used to get hellos, smiles or in the very least acknowledged when I came in. Now it seems like serving me is an inconvenience, wait times are up and staff seems rude/unhappy. Time to move on.
The pharmacy team at this location is exceptional, Khalil in particular. He’s very friendly and knowledgeable, and went the extra mile for me when my dr dropped the ball. The store itself is quite small but still has most things
People have to much time on there hands lol I never have experienced any problems at this location I been living in mardaloop for a long time now and have been a frequent customer I don’t know what all the complaints are about
Convenient hours but high dispensing fees. Good deals on all kinds of products for around the household. I admit I love the specials/sales on junk food too. Also have found some sales on electronics and toiletries.
The staff working in the beauty products section are the most tolerant people and they share great information! I really appreciate their honesty about their products because their advice has helped me! ✨✨ …
Clement the pharmacist helped with with my prescription, was fast, knowledgeable and extremely gentle with my injection! Lovely pharmacist, would recommend this pharmacy to anyone as long as he's working here!
Tried calling to get the pharmacy… it was busy all day and then when we tried to tonight someone picked up and hung up on us, called back numerous times and the same thing over and over. Terrible service.
Review is for the pharmacy - very friendly, open and honest. Manager is very transparent about what's going on - we had a couple of insurance glitches. Appreciate having this business in our neighborhood
Cheryl at Marda Loop Beauty Bar was fantastic!! She is informative and very knowledgeable about all products and promotions!! Thanks Cheryl for the excellent customer service! …
Theyre a decent enough store but they need to fix their phone system, it isn’t possible to reach the pharmacy because of the covid info being the same number as the pharmacy on the menu
Love the atmosphere, a great place to shop, Tony and Sabrina and Sam are always there when needed to help me find a product. The shop has almost all you need in your daily life.
Worst shoppers I’ve ever been to. The management was terrible and condescending, and after filling out the survey no follow up at all. Couldn’t give zero stars unfortunately.
I love this place in marda loop, the staff are friendly and helpful when you need it. The pharmacy staff are also great. I recommend coming here. Wish they had a post office.
The woman with red hair working the front till yesterday was incredibly rude. I was just trying to make a transaction and she was incredibly calous and short with us.
I like the attitude of the employees, always nice to have someone smiling when you go shopping. Like to shop there because of the atmosphere they make. Sam you rock
Sam gives great service, very welcoming and smiley, always happy to have him around in the store when I shop. Thanks Shoppers for having such a dedicated employee.
We had to get a Covid test to return back to the United States and they fit us in very quickly, in and out in just a few minutes. We really appreciate their help!
Highly recommend for travel vaccine consultation. Fantastic experience with the owner / pharmacist; very professional and knowledgeable. Easy online booking.
This is the second time I’ve experienced terrible customer service from the pharmacy and I can’t ignore it . Please stop treating your customers so poorly
The location is great, you can't find things easily on your own, Sam and Tony are always helpful to show you where things are, keep up the good work guys.
Not great at keeping timelines in the pharmacy... 20 minutes becomes 40 with no apology, staff could at least be friendly instead of being rude about it.
Cheeky lil underground parking in the back which is clutch with the atrocious street parking marda loop has planned for. Self checkout is smooth. Classic
Worse pharmacy ever!!! Always messing up my prescription or I asked them to fax it and they didn’t even fax it. Please save your self time and avoid them
The pharmacy is an absolute disorganized chaos. For the last 4 prescription refills I've had nothing but issues. Will be taking my business elsewhere.
The price checking machine is not working, but Sam is there to offer price check for you. Thank you Sam for making it very easy to be there and shop.
Family of 4 have used them for 3 years and recently moved to Safeway. Horrible customer service, rude staff and constantly screwing up our orders.
The store is well-stocked and the staff are very friendly. Julius especially is full of energy and makes my shopping experience more enjoyable!
Great service from the Postal Office specially from Vicki and Piper. Very happy - they are polite, professional and fast. Great job ladies!
One of my favorite stores Always feel welcomed each time I visit as the beauty department staff will say hi once I step in. Love it! …
The store staff are very nice and helpful but had a bad experience at the pharmacy. Was treated very rudely and will not be returning.
I wouldn't recommend the Pharmacy, the pharmacist was rude and not helpful , she didn't give me the time of the day for my inquiry.
I keep forgetting my PC optimum, Sam always offers to search my PC optimum by my phone number. It's good to be offered help.
Thank you Bakir and your co-workers. This location is very organized and clean. I love their underground warm parking lot.
Bakir was very helpful to us when we filled a prescription, advising us of potential drug savings. Very good service!
Great selection of products, The staff are friendly. However, the prices are marked up in comparison to other stores
The pharmacy staff are always very helpful however, they never pick up the phone and it is extremely frustrating.
I always have a trouble with the self check out, there is Sam, out of the blue, to help fix the issue.
Went here for a COVID test and flu shot. Pharmacy was very helpful and Bakir was wonderful.
I couldn’t find what i wanted first but a guy, Sam helped a lot i am grateful
The staff are always friendly and helpful here. Big beauty section too.
Great staff everytime I go!
