Scenario as follows - freezer had sale sign reading " Pinty's Meat - 810gram package - Reg 16.99 - Sale 11.99 until July 28. Limit 2 . Chose Pinty's Chicken Strips (1 of the 4 in freezer) Freezer also had Chicken Nuggets (at least 6 boxes) and Honey Garlic Wings. Get to cash - Strips ring in at $14.99 - I say No - on sale - cashier asked to be shown where I got them - showed her - she removes sign - goes and talks to another cashier - comes back to register with Honey Garlic wings and says - strips not on sale - these are - I say I do not want wings - I want strips at 11.99 - she says No - mistake made by new young lad - you can't have them at 11.99 - I say isn't the store supposed to honour the price even though it's a mistake - I also say in fact all other stores that I have ever dealt with honour the price and give you the item free if they did not charge the correct amount - cashier say's in very tired bored manner - look I'm just a cashier - I say what about the manager - No - manager say's no say's cashier - she say's do you want them or not - I say if I can't have them for 11.99 - the posted price for the freezer contents - I do not want them - please tell the manager that I'm not impressed with customer service and I will not be back - she simply gives my receipt and eggs and gave me a look that said she'd had enough - so have I - Shopper's at Signature Center has just lost a loyal regular shopper and will only shop at other locations if product cannot be bought elsewhere - if $3.00 is more important to them than customer satisfaction then I will give my business to all the other retail stores that honour posted prices whether a mistake or not!
Not surprised no response after 3 call. August 1st I went in to fill my husband prescription. We had been on vacation in Quebec City and unfortunately the vacation turned into a call to emergency. After a stay in the hospital and having emergency pacemaker put in. We returned to Kanata on the Sunday night, with a new pacemaker, four broken ribs and stitches in the back of his head. I went into the pharmacy to fill his prescription and was told by the pharmacists that she does not speak french nor does she read french she would not be filling out his prescription and suggested that I find french people, I should go to Orleans to have his prescription filled. I was refused service, as far as I know english and french is Canada's official languages. The arrogance was unbelievable. His prescription was in french but all medications are the same in english as in french. Milligrams are the same in english as in french. I took the same prescription to Rexall on March road here in Kanata and it was done immediately as they understood this prescription was time sensitive. (They are english) I had our files transferred immediately to Rexall. I left several messages for the owner, never got a call back. Can't believe I was refused service on such a time sensitive prescription, she new that and said "find french people"???
Wrong Wrong Wrong! July 28- 2:30PM First, I went to another branch in Kanata North to have a Passport photo. I was told they cannot accept an opened flash drive so I must purchase a flash drive from them. I agreed as it was a logical reaction for protecting their devices against malware. So, I went to Kanata south to Best Buy and purchased a flash drive that I like to keep! Then, I took this an un-opened newly purchased Flash Drive with me to another branch to have a Passport Photo. This time, I was told by, Leila, the supervisor, that if I want my picture on a flash drive, I must buy the flash drive from them “only”! No matter if I have a newly un-opened one! I told her, please accept this because the reason behind this policy should be to protect your devices from malware & as you see, this flash drive I have is not opened yet! Leila, the supervisor, said she can’t! She said I must pay to them for the flash drive, as it’s their policy. Leila even called Sylvie, the store manager to get permission, but Sylvie easily didn’t approve my rational request. The discussion was normal & respectful. There was no tension. But, I am disappointed with Shoppers Drug Mart! This so-called Policy is simply a rip-off! I wasted and lost my time today because of this ridiculous policy! I’ll be avoiding your company henceforth!
I would give it zero stars if I could. See Anna's review below (5 months ago). I have been exposed to the same employee's absolutely terrible attitude as recently as Friday Oct 13 when I saw his disrespectful interaction with a senior citizen (aka customer). In my case I was so insulted by his behavior (in an interaction on Sept 5) that I filed two complaints with Shoppers yet obviously no corrective action has been taken and the store's customers continue to be exposed to this person's disrespectful CUSTOMER attitude. Somebody please have an attitude adjustment talk with this employee. Anna Their customer service could definitely be better. I don’t know if the pharmacists there are overworked/underpaid, but it’s not really an excuse to give clients an enormous amount of attitude. This one pharmacist (white guy in his mid-forties) complained about everything from not being able to find my meds to processing the payment. He was rude to his co-workers too and didn’t even give any information about my prescription. I felt like I was bothering him by being there. A very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience, especially when you come in already not feeling well. Don’t go to this location unless you have no choice.
I have had too many negative customer services with one particular beauty department employee to refrain from posting a review. It is unfortunate that her rudeness, extremely poor customer service skills, and lack of self-awareness reflect poorly on the entire Shoppers Drug Mart store since other staff are not like her in terms of their attitude and approach. Avoid purchasing any beauty department products from this individual. She is not well suited to customer service or satisfying anyone! I finally felt compelled to write a review after witnessing her yelling aggressively at children and adults alike yesterday at the Kanata Centrum Easter long weekend Bunny Hop when they attempted to place a tiny chocolate egg (displayed as free to take at the store entrance) in their baskets. Shameful. There are certainly other solutions or ways to inform parents, children, and potential customers not to take seemingly complementary chocolate eggs at the store front. I won’t be purchasing any fragrances or cosmetics from this location anymore!
This place is pathetic for getting your prescription filled. No wonder they have a low rating. Very unfriendly folks here have have no concept of time. They had our prescription for more than an hour which our surgeon had already faxed and they had said they had 45 min wait. After reaching there after 75 min inwas asked to wait another 20 min. My daughter was in pain waiting in the car. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. We have been living in kanata for 20 years and used them a few times only to be convinced again and again not to go back again. Nothing had changed in that time. Costco and even walmart pharmacy are much better. They treat you well and also take time to consult on medication esp if they are narcotics. This needs to be done by law. But not here at shoppers. there was no consult just a casual talk that too after asking several questions. At the end it was left to us to decide how we deal with narcotics. Stay away from this place.
Never buy electronics like tvs from them. Apparently they are not returnable and somewhere on their website they claim this. I bought a tv as a family christmas gift, brought it home and plugged it in to find a huge electronic slash in the screen. Obviously banged or dropped. When i tried to return it i was told it was non returnable, that customers couldnt be trusted and i damaged it myself, that the day of the customer being right was long gone. When i complained to shoppers head office they said of course you can return it to the store. When i went back for the third time i was dissed and insulted by the front store manager who then lied to head office to say i was abusive and the tv was missing parts etc etc. Never ever will i go there again and i try to avoid shoppers drug mart completely given the way this guy treated me. Btw im a retiree. Ive seen it all but ive never seen this kind of behaviour.
Worse pharmacy EVER. Every single encounter I've had at this pharmacy has been horrible. For my first visit, I was told my prescription was ready on 3 different occasions when it wasn't. Drove 3 different times to pick it up and it wasn't ready. Another visit, Mohamed didn’t want to enter my insurance information "because there were too many people in line" so I had to pay out of pocket. The third time again...prescription not ready when they said it was over the phone. Today, stood in line for 10 minutes in the drop off area and was ignored...then a lady stood beside me at the other side and was immediately helped. Needless to say, I have transferred to Loblaws, where they are wonderful. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you like being ignored, like standing in line for very long periods of time and like to feel like you are bothering the staff that are supposed to help you.
I am not very happy with the Pharmacy at this location! The issue began when I called to refill my son's vital seizure medication, only to learn it was out of stock. Before I moved my previous pharmacy had it in stock.. My dissatisfaction was further compounded by the interaction with one of the pharmacy staff, a lady who handled my call. Her approach was far from empathetic or helpful. She sounded impatient and short, offering no assistance or alternative solutions. She abruptly hung up before I could fully express my concerns or ask for further guidance. I have delt with this lady before and this is not the first time she talk to me in the same manner.. What's more, they could have taken the time to locate the medication from another pharmacy, and I would have gladly gone to pick it up myself. I may switch stores and start picking up my medication at Costco!
This post office is quite literally the worst. They are so slow and really don’t seem to know what they are doing. They have absolutely no compassion for anyone. It is Christmas and they will not give me the package even though I have several pieces of ID saying who I am. When the manager came they frightfully stood in the corner and just kept repeating the same phrase with no explanation or attempt to resolve the issue. It’s like they are automatons. I have been to several other post offices and this one has no sense of customer service and should quite frankly be ashamed of themselves of making an already stressful time difficult. I cannot believe this. In fact, I wonder if there is any way to contact Canada Post directly to file a complaint about the service, because someone needs to intervene. It is totally unacceptable.
Severe decline in service over the years. We have been customers at Signature Centre since inception. For the first 15 or so years, pharmacy service was top notch. Shoppers for many years had the online prescription renewal service which was convenient rather than having to call in prescriptions each time. For some reason that service has either decayed or removed all together with no clear explanation as to why. Whenever we go in to the pharmacy to pick something up, the service line is longer than it should be and there are delays as the service people can’t find prescriptions and or generally seemed confused p, thus needlessly holding customers up. Too bad as it used to be a great place to go. Follow up I. Response to the stores response to “reach out”. I did but no one answered the phone. No surprise here!
I have been to many pharmacy's before but i have to say that this pharmacy does not care about peoples time. Three times now i have called in prescriptions, two days in advance, and every time i go pick the meds up they always say "oh its not filled. It will take 20-30 min to fill. If you cant take someones phone call for a refill and refill it whats the point of going to this pharmacy. If you looking for great service, this is not he place you should be going to. When i first got to the store i noticed how many pharmacy team staff and i thought i had struck it rich with no hassle prescriptions. NOPE! Cant even get it ready in two days. Pick somewhere else, i am going to go to Rexall down the street as the last one i was at at least filled my prescriptions when i called.
When I was in at Shoppers a couple of weeks back, Rumana called out to me before I got to cash checkout, in order to speak to me. Rumana wanted to let me know that she had a $5.00 return of funds for me, in relation to a transaction I had the previous evening at Shoppers. When I was in the previous evening, I made some purchases and requested some coins in exchange for some bills, $25.00. Rumana explained that her cash had been over by $5.00 that previous evening, because she had taken an extra $5.00 bill in error from the bills I had presented at checkout. I really appreciate the honesty and integrity that Rumana displayed in returning the funds, I am very pleased. So I want to say 'Thank you very much' for Rumana's thoughtfulness and honesty.
I really want to reiterate the fact that I LOVE this shoppers drug mart. By far, the best in every way. The pharmacy, cosmetic department, customer service etc. Everyone is exceptionally nice and helpful. Scott the pharmacist has always been pleasant, efficient, thorough, and helpful. I’d also like to mention that Fiona in the cosmetic department is the sweetest, nicest employee ever. My 2yr old daughter was crying because she wanted the balloons in the cosmetic department and Fiona was kind enough to cut them down and give my daughter the balloons. She also gave my daughter a sample lip gloss. My little girl was so happy leaving the store. It was a fantastic experience, and I will forever remember her generosity towards us.
So the cosmetics section in this store went through MAJOR renovations... I wish they had invested in their staff instead. I went there this afternoon 5 pm, Sept. 15th. 4 staff people in the cosmetics section!!! and I was THE ONLY one customer, theY completely ignored me at first two of them talking to each other and THE OTHER two putting make up on each other!! until I asked for help ....and as if I had inconvenienced them one very reluctantly helped me and was very serious and without even a smile for the whole 2 minutes until I paid $120 and got out of store feeling like a stupid person as why I did go through this purchase giving my business to such poor customer service... never again!
The staff is always friendly and have nothing negative to say about them but whatever system they use there for accepting prescriptions is flawed and honestly causing me a lot of issues with work and general wellness. MANY times they haven't received my prescription despite proof of it being sent and without my prescription I can get very sick. My suggestion is to get a printed version of your script if possible to combat this, as it seems like every time I get comfortable without it something goes wrong. I hope they can solve whatever is going on there cause other than that I have nothing but nice things to say about the place!
Horrible service. I bought a water pic where they display the box and then fill it with the product when you buy it. My box didn’t include the charger. When I asked them to provide it they said I had to return the whole thing. I had only brought the receipt and box. They told me I should have brought the whole thing and it wasn’t their fault. I asked why I needed to come back and they said it wasn’t their fault. I said this wasn’t client service. They said it was. I told them the customer determines this. I left. Absolutely awful service. The supervisor needs training and there should be at least o e person at cash at all times.
Their customer service could definitely be better.
***WARNING: If you are coming from the east end and you take Terry Fox exit 140, turn RIGHT onto Terry Fox Drive. I used Google Maps directions and the instructions said to turn left. I kept driving for 5 minutes before I realized I was going the wrong way. Really nice store with friendly staff. The cosmetic selection was unreal! Very upscale with a fancy feeling. There is a Chanel display with various products and this only the second location in Ottawa to purchase Chanel products (the other location is near Rideau). There is also a Canada Post in the back and lots of self-check outs. Plenty of parking too.
A horrible supervisor made me feel as if I had stolen the sensor I tried to return despite me having the receipt! They had a glitch in the system or in their brains that showed that the sensor was returned although I still have it. Despite the fact that I explained to her; she insisted that something was weird and her conversation included embedded accusations as like “ looks like someone grabbed it after!” Have some education please before assuming leadership and management responsibilities! Learn your math and basic calculation before allowing this to happen! A bunch of …. In charge!
Never write reviews but felt the need to after my negative experience. I've had my prescription filled multiple times (same as all of my family members) and I was yelled at by the asian Pharmacist in front of everyone. They tried to charge me for my prescription when I was still covered under the government (still under 25). Every time we get our prescription filled there's an issue, the staff is extremely rude and never helpful. It doesn't hurt to be kind, if theres a miscommunication be patient with people. You have no idea what they're going through
Very poor service. they first gave me an open box for infant Tylenol When I requested for a new sealed box, they questioned me why I dint want an open box? After requesting 3 times, the lady and the guy nodding their heads slammed a sealed box on the counter. As if they were doing me a favor. The owner of this place - I think you ought to speak with your clerks at the pharmacy, to have a better understanding of customer service. I don’t want to report this to the college for handing me an open box of medication. Hope you can address this.
It's huge with a great selection of pretty much everything. Nice self checkouts. We need some self checkouts on Rideau St., location. I, for one, loved this particular location for its: Products & Services: Huge cosmetics section. Great groceries selection. Batteries, electronics, over-the-counter medications, personal care products... you name it, and they have it! Parking: No worries about parking spots, cuz there's plenty of space available. Handicap parking available.
Vaccines/Pharmacy Absolutely everyone on staff was so patient and informative. They answered many questions from many people by phone and in person. They were well organized for vaccinations. When explaining how my husband and I accidentally cancelled his appointment by clicking the wrong hyper link, they were able to give him an end of day shot. All this while attending to regular customers, prescriptions, questions, and special needs. Impressive!
I visted this location while I was in town this afternoon, the man at the front cash questioned my younger sisters and me very rudely because we put down a twix bar that my sister no longer wanted. We even politely told him where the twix bar was and he said "so you left it over there, i will go take a look" right after he watched me pay for my other items. If i could give this location one star I would. Never returning to this location.
Honestly, this pharmacy is the worst I've encountered. I submitted my prescription, later I got a call saying it's ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was told only one medication is available, and the rest are out of stock. They should have informed me earlier so I could make other arrangements. It's really disappointing; I've decided to transfer my prescription to another pharmacy and won’t come back again.
In the past few years, the service at the pharmacy has gone down. I've had some communication issues in refilling prescriptions and their new system doesn' include the printout of the meds anymore. You also can't write on the labels. That's a huge health mistake waiting to happen. I appreciate the tremendous workload they cope with on a daily basis, but some consistency and reliability would go a long way.
I applied for a flu shot and at 9:30 this morning got an e-mail saying shots are available "No appointment needed". Obviously appointments were needed as there were no shots left when I got there at 1pm, and I was told that they had only received 30 doses. I phoned another pharmacy and got an appointment right away. So why does Shoppers inconvenience their customers (seniors) by not taking appointments?
The pharmacy has gone down hill. Majority of the staff are super nice and friendly, as well as the owner/manager. However, the Physician (girl with glasses) is very rude and unprofessional. She gave me and other clients attitude. When waiting in line for a pick up, I could also hear her talking bad about clients and making snarky comments. Not much of a safe place for clients. Really disappointing…
Everything in every department here has been a bad experience and because there are long lines, you feel rushed or pressured to make a quick decision when you do need any help from staff. I don’t know what will make this better as staff seem to be trying their best, maybe they are just unlucky to be a busy location where the staff don’t have the luxury of being able to focus on just one thing.
I was dealing with an employee to get the prescription filled. She said that actual copy is needed. I said that it's an email .Suddenly a person jumped in claiming that he is the pharmacist without name badge on him and spoke in a very unprofessional and rude manner. He literally asked me " do whatever you want " by giving business card of the owner. I felt very much disappointed with this.
My daughter bought me a Home Depot gift card from this store. And it did not work. I am struggling now to get my money back. My understanding is that they are having lots of issues with gift cards. Do NOT buy gift cards from Shoppers or you may potentially have issues like I do. And terrible Customer Service, by the way. Ignoring my e-mails, closing ticket without letting me know etc.
Called Sunday 9:40am to know about a common product in otc if they have it in stock and lady pharmacist just kept asking my the name of the company making the product, wow. To go look on shelf she said: you will have to wait on phone at least 10 minutes, amazing customer service for 2022... we live 100km away and simply wanted to make sure they had dome in stock. Hmmm so, so sad
Such an awful website experience. Tried to figure out how to go and get a regular flu shot. Not only did the online booking system have no spaces available (with no waitlist and no information about why the flu shot isn't available/what other options are available) but trying to call the store doesn't work at the phone number provided on google as well as the shoppers website.
Vaccines/Pharmacy Thanks to Scott and Pratima, and the all the pharmacy staff for being patient and informative. Very well organized for vaccinations and managed very efficiently and quickly. At the same time, also attending to several other customers, and answering and following up with questions whenever someone was looking for something. Great fantastic service! Impressive!
Pharmacy staff are dishonest, slow and lazy. They’re rude, arrogant and ignorant. I don’t know where Ottawa gets these pharmacy staff from and why they feel so entitled to speak down to patients, unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour. Every shoppers is terrible but this one is the worst yet. SMH. I highly recommend you don’t waste your time with this place
My daughter picked up a prescription today and was served by a lady physician who was discussing other people's behaviors and problems in front of other Customers, which made my daughter feel really uncomfortable. She was served with poor service and reading your reviews shows it all.. Loose the drama queen I'm sure you all know who that is..!!
Auto refill scam, Been burned by two different shoppers locations now, signature centre and Rideau / King Edward despite having auto refills turned off they will fill your scripts and give them to your spouse. Now out the money and have a 3 month supply of a script I no longer take, almost 200 pills that will only be disposed of. Just a waste
I had the best experience at this location, thanks to RUMANA. Helped me find everything I was looking for and also saved me some $$! In terms of pc points, Very honest and genuine asset for this company. Looking forward to coming back for future purchases and to get best service again by RUMANA, Highly recommend & appreciated.
Fiona in the Beauty Department was exceptional! I had an eyeshadow question and she gave me the exact product I needed. She knows her stuff! And I liked that she said she knows the products and isn't loyal to any one company, she gives the best option for your personal needs. Thank you, Fiona! I love my Urban Decay shadow!
The owner/manager treated me with profession and care when I got the strength to speak up about the yelling and poor treatment I received. Bravo! This store does greatly care about customer service! I'm always treated well no matter how silly my question is or if items are in, even saving me money! Thanks!!!
Shocked to see any poor reviews of this place. This Shoppers is just excellent all around from the care and personal service from Scott, the owner, to each and every person there. Never disappointed, they always go the distance to help and look after customers. Been going here for 11years. Thank you all.
Had the nicest beauty boutique employee Callie help me today. She 100% went above and beyond when she absolutely did not have too. Thankful I had her service today because lately, you cannot find employees like her!! Definitely recommend everyone goes to her for all your beauty / skincare needs :)
Been coming and going for a refill. This time I came and told me that I dont have refill then pharmacist came and said oh sorry u have a refill. Told us to wait 5 min instead they made us made 1 hours and did not even tell us it was ready or not! I am sick of this place 3 days felt like hell!
We were able to find everything that we needed, and lots more! Yvonne from the beauty department was very helpful in assisting my husband and I in wrapping up our christmas shopping. Fun and friendly employees like her always make a good shopping experience better!
Pharmacy Very poor. Often screw up prescriptions. Failure to put important stickers or notes such as do not take with food or take with food. Sometime very vital details are not relayed to the patient. It's hit or miss.. Find another place for your prescriptions.
Great store! I wish they added more to the gaming section though. It is also a but more pricey than a lot of Shoppers (not saying it’s “I can’t afford it” pricey but it’s something to watch out for.) I like the lady at the beauty section. She should get a raise!
Horrible service. My order was cancelled without notifying me. Then I was asked to come back, to to wait, and then to wait for the call. I never received one, when I came back, I found out that the medication wasn't not available in the area.
Pretty pleasant with great friendly service. Two issues though: needs more cashiers columns since service can get slow. Second, it should be open 24 hours so it'll own the majority of Kanata's store's incomes. Overall, 4.5/5
I can't say enough about how amazing the beauty boutique staff are! Yvonne helps me find what I am looking for every time, and she's super experienced, has great product knowledge, is kind and approachable. Highly recommend!
I shop at this location often. I am always amazed at the customer service I receive from Meaghan H in the Fragrance section. She knows the products well and is extremely helpful. She is the main reason I shop at this store.
The store itself is very nice, the pharmacy on the other hand is horrible. Three times I was dispensed fewer pills than what was prescribed! Finally transfered my file to a different location and never looked back.
Been going to this pharmacy for nearly a decade. Scott the owner is an honest, caring and understanding pharmacist. Always love to see them when I pick up my meds. Thank you for your kind and reliable service.
Ridiculous! I went to buy a few gift cards for my families for Christmas. They checked my id, my credit card, and then asked me the reason for buying the gift cards. Excuse me? Isn’t it Christmas season?
This location has an extensive assortment of men’s fragrance products. I was assisted by Tyra. She was extremely helpful! I chose Prada L’Homme. If you are looking for a new fragrance go see Tyra!
Scott Macdonald the pharmacist is very rude and aggressive with customers. If you have questions or concerns about your medication I would recommend going to another pharmacy in the area
I had such bad experiences with my prescriptions, I ended up changing pharmacies. They need to fix this problem as I would rather use this Shoppers as it is closer than Pharmasave.
Inpatient, unfriendly, unprofessional. They made mistake when inputting your file. They react very frustrating when you ask a question. The agent speaking broken English.
It took my 3 days to get my refills. They are the slowest. They did not even tell that the medicine is ready while I was waiting there more than 1 hour for the pickup.
It is actually a pretty decent Shoppers. The Pharmacist owner, he's a pretty chill dude. Good place, wanted to work with us and help us out with prescriptions.
Excellent experience and well organized when I received my vaccine. Staff were very helpful - especially Pratima who guided me through the process.
Mackenzie was INCREDIBLY HELPFUL and resolved our problem right away! I want to thank her for being understanding about customers needs! Thank you!
Shoppers Staff and Post Office Staff are excellent. One lady at the pharmacy is awful., she makes me want to run she is so rude.
They said the meds are going to be ready in 45 mins and Its been 3 hours. Still waiting. Horrible staff with no management.
7 people working behind counter at Pharmacy yet no one is at pick up counter... EXTREMELY SLOW "service" everytime!
The perfume department as you enter the store is overwhelming. It makes me feel sick and want to exit asap.
They sold me a gift card that doesnt work. Then gave me a customer service number that doesnt ever pick up
Should be 24 hours. How is there not a 24 hour pharmacy in Kanata? I have to drive to Westgate?
friendly staff, its a busy location, so sometimes there's a bit of a wait to get help.
Usually good store with competitive prices. Unfriendly and unhelpful service
Standard layout, though confusing location to access from the street.
good location with RBC ATM machine and post office. closed late.
Staff are very helpful, especially at the pharmacy counter.
Gwen at cosmetics was super friendly and helpful!
Not the most friendly pharmacist I have been to.
Sells great snacks and usually not too busy
Opening Timings can use some improvement
Go elsewhere for flu shot long lines...
New release & Unique fragrance stock.
This place is an absolute nightmare.
All Shoppers are consistently good.
Always friendly clean and helpful
Worst Canada post service ever
Great staff in all departments
Excellent staff compassionate
Has post office, ATM. Clean.
Very poor customer service.
