I used Shortline for my move last summer which involved moving my furniture and household goods into storage and then a few months later from storage into my new home. The first half of the move went really well, and all of the glowing reports that other reviewers have given the company applied to this part of my move too. In the move to my new home, however, I experienced a different level of competence and professionalism. One of their team dragged my white laquered desk (it was virtually new before this happened) across my front door threshold damaging the edges. I saw it happen as well as other tradesmen in the house at the time also witnessed the event. Then a while later they unpacked my king size Tempur-pedic mattress in the truck , and dragged it across the truck bed and into my house, soiling it. What was the point of carefully wrapping it up and then remove the wrapping in the truck? Although they sent someone to repair my desk, it is never the same as when it was new. It took months for them to send someone to clean my mattress, and it was only after my persistence that they sent someone to clean it. There was never an apology by the moving team, and if I hadn't witnessed it and taken pictures of my furniture prior to the move, I'm not sure that they would have owned up to it. Would I get them to move me again? Would I recommend them? Only if you're prepared to supervise their staff, which was what Ken was supposed to be doing. I've had worse movers in my life, but these are some of the reasons for the missing 2 stars.

From start to finish this was an awesome first experience with professional movers! For years, we had always done things ourselves, with a handful of friends and a UHaul. Because we are older now, that's not ideal - so I reached out to a number of companies to quote our move. Shortline came in the lowest (by hundreds of dollars!) so I was skeptical. I don't easily trust situations I don't know, and this wasn't giving me confidence...... HOWEVER, Oliva was quick to assure me every step of the way. Through my endless questions via email, she was friendly, polite and patient. Thank you Olivia!! Then it's moving day. Ken and Kyle arrived on-time and ready to go. Gave them a quick tour of what needed to go and they were off! They worked quickly, efficiently and carefully - and with smiles and humour every step of the way. We were loaded up in record time and on our way! We arrive at the new place, and again, they were quick. They were efficient and treated our belongings as if they were their own. Not only was the initial quote the most inexpensive of all that I had received, Ken & Kyle even finished earlier than estimated - making the final invoice less than we had anticipated! I have absolutely zero complaints and no qualms about recommending Shortline to anyone I know. Ken, Kyle & Olivia, thank you so much for your professional & stellar service!

This company is extremely unprofessional. I do not recommend. Traffic rules are not considered legal implications, but viewed merely as suggestion. The city, as well as the company themselves had to be called on the unprofessional and uncalled for behavior of this moving company. Here's a photo of them parked in a bike lane rather than either of the legal, and available parking lanes this truck had open to them. If this space has been designated for cyclists than respect that. All vehicles, including handi-transit, etc. have to use their designated spots, however Shortline feels they are above even those people and laws. Don't use this company. Regarding the reply I cannot respond directly to: Yes, it seems that myself, another cyclist, and a tenant of the Sheridan all had to call you for this to be moved. The employee I spoke to was given the location and info of the truck I question. I opted not to give all of my personal information to your employee, because as seen by the review; hard to come by accountability with this company. I would rate even lower than 1, rating stays the same.

We don't have that many friends, and we didn't want to disturb the ones we do have due to their shifting work schedules. But a buddy of mine from work recommended Shortline. I was told that it doesn't matter which movers they'll assign to us; every single team that they have is the best there is in the city for the price they charge, and I'm so glad I listened. Blake and Berlin were super friendly and professional. They gave me a heads-up call 30 minutes before their eta, making sure that they have our correct addresses and all the packing supplies needed for the move. I knew right then that I've made the right choice. They were very attentive towards our furniture and boxes, and assured us that all of our stuff will be transported in the same condition as we left. We're extremely happy to have availed their services. No doubt that Berlin and Blake deserve a whooping 5-star and hopefully a raise for making our move as smooth as silk! We will highly recommend Shortline to all of our friends and soon-to-be neighbors if they ever need an extra set of repiable hands.

If I could give 10 stars I would!!! Right from the first contact Olivia was quick and thorough with getting my move booked and answering any questions I had. On the day of the move I has Stas 2.0 and Steven H as my moving crew. They called to say they were on their way and arrived on time! They ensured runner mats were placed on the floor to keep the floors clean and damage free. They also took the time to wrap all of my furniture carefully. These two worked very quickly and efficiently! They were extra careful not to damage or scuff any walls during the move even when some some spaces were tricky to maneuver through with big pieces of furniture. Stas and Steven went above and beyond when they fixed my screen door (which was broken prior to move in)!!! Knowing I didn’t have a drill to fix it, they grabbed a drill from their truck and my door was fixed in minutes!! I’m very thankful I had these two move me today! During my research phase of moving companies and then prepping for the actual move day, they were prompt with communication, answered my questions, reassuringly organized, and checked off a lot of boxes that I was looking for. This included being able to move my baby grand piano. We hired Shortline Moving to move an apartment into storage. They arrived on time and were very professional. There was an incident where a piece of furniture was accidentally damaged, and they immediately started looking for a replacement for that piece of furniture. When they couldn't find one, they offered us a cash settlement which was in our opinion fair market value. This settlement took about two weeks to happen, which again in my opinion was very reasonable. They were very responsive, and even took off a half hour charge off the total bill for the time it took them to assess the damage, etc. Although you hope nothing happens to damage things during your move, when something does happen it is nice to see them work hard to fix the problem. Thank you Shortline for such a great handling of our furniture and response time to quickly address any issues.

On the 19th of June 2023 we were in need of movers for the hot tub that we had just purchased and called Shortline Moving Solutions Inc. We spoke with Olivia, she was very helpful, very informative and quickly worked out the details for our move and made it happen the very next day! which we were thrilled about. So on the 20th right when they promised delivery, here comes Jeremy, Austin and Jacob. Three very nice, polite, courteous and professional young men got right down to the job at hand, reassembling the mat that they had disassembled at pick up and than got busy making a plan to get our tub in place.We would highly recommend this service the staff and field workers were a pleasure to work with. This moved required 2 pick-ups at 2 locations and Ken, Kyle and Gregory came to the first pick-up and had everything loaded in a short time. Their professionalism was obvious right from the beginning. They drove across the city in a timely fashion to the second pick-up where all the heavy furniture was. They didn't waste time in moving the furniture, they were very organized and efficient. They had the truck unloaded at the destination very quickly and were so accommodating at placing the furniture and boxes where required. These three men worked hard and appeared to enjoy their job. Although I've never used professional movers before, there is no doubt these folks are the epitome of excellence. My entire experience from first contact of using their online estimator to their removal of all the packing material at the other end before they left was seamless, professional and considerate. Alex, you have an amazing team of folks! You, Nancy and Allison in the office made planning a dream, and the team of guys (Stephen, Howard and Austin) were a joy in what could have been a very stressful event, even without the raging snowstorm the day of my move. Shortline literally saved the day when our existing moving company cancelled 5 mins prior to their arrival time. Olivia was able to schedule Shortline last min later that same afternoon. Gary, Steven and CJ were excellent at their craft and were highly communicative throughout the process. They ended up having to work later then the estimate to get everything done and they were very positive and lovely about it all. Couldn’t have moved without them, honestly. Shortline was recommended to me by two different friends but they exceeded my expectations in every way. Nancy was just wonderful in setting things up and giving the best advice. The moving team of Brent, Dominic, and Stanis were the very best in every way; fast, efficient, and friendly. They also took great care with all my belongings and moved my plants, including three large cacti which I thought would be impossible to move. Their website is very easy to navigate, Mike in the office reached out immediately and was very helpful and the movers were the best part. If you can request them I'd recommend Berlin and Staas! They were fast, efficient, friendly and made the whole experience painless. 3 story walk up in 30 degree heat and they never lost their smile or good humor or professionalism. Was shoreline the cheapest? No but the little extra they quoted they made up for in customer service and hard work.

Today I had Gi/Steven/Smiley for mover’s. They were the best mover’s I have ever had! They wrapped everything and were extremely careful with everything! Moving is usually so stressful. They worked so well together and didn’t waste any time. The bill was way lower than the estimate. Olivia was also very helpful with the original quote. Just finished a full home move with Shortline Moving. Nancy the sales representative was fantastic with the quote (actual move came in under budget). She followed up the day before the move to confirm a few things. The movers (Joel, Steven, Berlin, Yvonne and Staus) were the self-professed “dream team”. They were a great team, they called to advise that they were on their way. They set up everything to ensure an efficient, clean and damage free move. We booked Shortline on rather short notice and Riley was incredibly kind and accommodating. Our actual move could not have gone any better. The movers arrived on time and were very polite and respectful. They worked very well together and had great communication skills on some pieces that were more challenging to move. I hired Shortline to take care of my move in early July 2022 and they were excellent. The two movers that took care of my move for me were very good with working with my budget for the move in terms of how many hours I could afford to pay Shortline as they moved relatively fast for my move! They disassembled and reassembled my furniture like it was nothing! They were respectful, friendly and very experienced with moving. I highly recommend Shortline as a moving company as they are the real deal!

Ethan & Brendan were exceptional movers! They were kind, friendly and worked hard. One furniture item had dusty dirty packaging on the outside, they were extra careful not to get that packaging in the house or let the dirty side touch the new furniture. They even asked if they could wash their hands (after handing the dirty packaging) before then carrying the piece. I was so grateful for that extra care with our new items. I would recommend these guys to my friends and family for sure.

Right from start to finish, my experience was INCREDIBLE. Nancy was thoughtful and communicative, and walked me through every step of the process. The movers themselves were kind and quick, and even took apart and put my bed frame back together. One item was damaged accidentally, and they immediately offered to replace or pay for it (and followed through the same day). All items were packed with care! Would 100% recommend and will use again in the future without question.

I’ve used Shortline moving twice in the last eighteen months and both experiences were great. Setting up the moves was easy and well explained and the team kept me up to date throughout the process. The teams that did the moves were friendly, fast and very careful with our possessions. Our new home has freshly refinished hardwood floors and they were very careful to put down mats and ensured they didn’t mark the floors. We were very pleased with moves and the price.

Just used Shortline for moving a compressor from one space into another space. Called and was told I was going to get a call back but then the call never came. So I called again and spoke with Olivia who was super helpful in getting me a quick quote. The boys Steven and Berlin came to move my compressor that afternoon and did four men's worth of work with just the two of them. Everyone was super friendly. I'm military so I'm use to move around. Let me tell you something this compagnie is the best I've use so far. Quick, on time, gentle with our furniture. They help unpack, very efficient. The employee where bilingual witch was a plus. The three employees where at work for 13 day straight on 3 different provinces but where still smiling and professional. Wow! We had Phil, Ron and Yarik for our move today and we couldn’t be happier. Very fair, professional and friendly. We had a fairly large move with lots of stairs (and low ceilings- joy of old houses) and they were efficient and skilled at navigating narrow stairways and the quirks of our home. I used the services of Shortline Moving in May of this year. (2023) Mike was great to deal with over the phone while setting things up and the guys showed on time the day of the move. Teagan, Mac and Yaro moved my upright piano for me and having dealt with pianos most of my life, I have to say this was my most positive experience getting a piano moved.
