Very enjoyable experience! Delicious yellow curry with plenty of chicken and potatoes, much more than you typically get in a Thai restaurant. Side dish of stir fried veggies, which many Thai restaurants would not have on their menu. We had chicken skewers with peanut sauce as an appetizer was very nice. Peanut sauce was spicy but not too sweet and not too peanutty! Service was excellent, ambience and decor lovely. Highly recommend.

My daughter is vegetarian and enjoyed the fried tofu appetizer and she had another main dish with veggies tofu and sticky rice on the side. There are a few different veggie stir fry options.

Parked on the street nearby.
Wheelchair accessibility
It's on a main road with no stairs so probably is wheelchair accessible. I don't know if the doors are wide enough for a wheelchair? Bathrooms are downstairs.

First time since Covid...nicely renovated. Stirfry basil shrimp with rice was too sweet as usual. Previously asked the waitress to tell chef to make it less sweet but was told that's the chef's style and many customers ask for the same but the chef sticks to his usual way of cooking. Coconut spicy soup with shrimps was wonderful. Chicken pad thai (lunch) was surprisingly filling...wonder what kind of oil they used. The lunchtime waitress was impolite and blunt which made the lunch experience less pleasant. Both stir fried dishes and noodles are too sweet. Asked a waitress to convey to their chef to make the dishes less sweet, but was told the chef does not really listen.

The food was really good. The food is actually authentic Thai. If you ask to make spicy they’ll actually make it spicy. Like the Thai level spicy which tastes really good. We chose spice level 2 out of 5 which we liked. Our friend chose 4.5 and 5 out of 5 for their dishes and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to try that as it was extreme spice and most people won’t be able to take that heat. We ended our dinner with the mango and coconut ice scream. Loved the Mangoe icecream as it had real mango chunks in it.

Came here a little while back and ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and Beef Pad Bai Kra-Prow (Basil stir fry). Both were good and had delicious flavours. I was expecting something different from the Pad Kra Pow - I thought it'd be a dry stir fry and a little more spicy. This one was a bit sweet for my liking. Dishes don't come with rice so it's a bit pricey imo. Service was great. I'll note that I tried my friend's green curry and that was fantastic. I would order that next time. Edit: I ordered the green curry for myself recently. Quite expensive for what it is (and it doesn't come with rice) but it certainly is delicious.

It took us a while to find a parking spot, but it was worth it; as the place is a hidden gem. With your first step you take inside Siam's you feel that you're disconnected from Ottawa into a beautiful Asian ambiance. The food, music, service were great. And the decoration is amazing. We were served by 2 lovely helpful ladies. It was a great experience and we will definitely give them another visit.

Taking a trip all the way from Newfoundland to have the best authentic Thai food in Ottawa that I had been missing for year, and finally found a place where I could hearty say they serve “food from home”! The welcoming decoration and super friendly staff reminded me of home. Food, itself, my goodness…it was the full huge portion of the taste of Thailand with reasonable price. I had Chicken Khao Soi, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Thai Milk Tea I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place, will definitely come back for more ❤️

Wow, supper cute small place! Food was really good, amazing flavours and freshness. Service was great, always filling your glass checking to make sure everything is good. Atmosphere small but cute. Lighting is dim which it nice. For the most part it’s great, only down side to it but not worth taking a star away is because of it being long and narrow seating people who talk loud carry well in it. My own opinion I would give it maple stars! Looking forward for the next meal I have there.

Best Thai food I've ever had. I showed up after work and asked for a table and some recommendations. My server was super kind and I hope they can tell you what I ordered because this dish was 10/10. It was an excellent price for the quality and portion size. My only grype is I would not come here as a single guy again but I don't know anyone in Ottawa. Get a date and a reservations because this place fills up quickly and it is totally worth it.

Got takeout here as part of a Mother's Day celebration - Pricey and a long wait to pick up takeout, but well worth it. This is my favourite Thai food in the city thus far, and I do not say that lightly; I've been eating Thai at various local places for over 15 years, but Siam Bistro takes the cake. Would eat here again in a heartbeat!

The BEST thai cuisine restaurant in Ottawa by FAR!. So tasty, reasonable prices, fast and friendly service. It is undoubtedly worth a visit ! Trust me when I say that I am a thai cuisine fanatic - I have been to over 50 thai restaurants around the world and this one is definitely in my top 3 favourites! The food is so flavorful and authentic and the customer service is unparalleled! I have returned here at least 10 times in the last few years and have always been satisfied! I always eagerly look forward to going back!

Wow! My partner and I both have a deep love for Thai cuisine, and this was the best Thai food we have ever had. We both ordered the sticky rice, and I had the #40 with beef, and my partner had the #48C with green curry We highly recommend both of these meals, as well as the sticky rice ( the BEST sticky rice) and Siam Thai as your new go to authentic thai restaurant! Thank you to everyone involved as our experience was mind blowing!

My husband and I went to Siam Bistro today and we loved it. We ordered shrimp egg rolls as an appetizer , a service of sauteed mixed vegetables, shrimps and squid with basil sauce, also a peanut butter curry beef and beef with a peanut butter sauce as the main dish. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. Would definitely return here and recommend these dishes.

My nephew and I dined here for his birthday dinner! The ambience of the restaurant is great and the staff are a delight! The food was very flavourful, hot, and came out quickly. The service is good; the waitresses are attentive but not overly. There is a higher emphasis placed on takeout. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for great Thai food- added bonus there is plenty of parking in the area!

Best Thai food in Ottawa, hands down. Had the Lemongrass Beef, Broccoli Beef, Pad Thai, Yellow Chicken Curry. All phenomenal flavours, great portions, and pre-Covid pricing. This place checks every box. Friendly and attentive servers, not a bad thing to say about the place. 10/10 must-try.

Very good, would definitely dine here again. Some dishes were not as spicy as I would have imagined but there is always an option to add more spice to the dish. Our server was extremely attentive and amazing. She noticed that my mother was not drinking any of iced water and went out of her way to bring her hot water (water of choice). Great service, pleasant decor/atmosphere and great food!

Our first time for Thai restaurant in Ottawa and I don’t think I’ll need to find a better place because Siam Bistro is the best! If you’re looking for an authentic Thai food, you won’t be disappointed to come here but If you love Thai foods with Canadian taste, go somewhere else !!! Staffs are nice and very polite, big portions of foods. Worth every penny. I strongly recommend this place and will definitely come back here :) Thai customer

The food, service were great. Huge portions, not a lot of meat, reasonably priced too. Why only 2 stars? You have to give 18% minimum tip... they even punch it on before giving you the machine to pay and if you change it the yank it away and put back 18.

Been a while since going there and glad I did. The service is fantastic, very personable with a welcome feeling by everyone. Great atmosphere sitting, and the food is just wow. Shrimp spring roll appetizer, squid & veggies (chili ️) mix with rice, and chicken padthai are what's in the pictures. Thank you Siam Bistro for making tasty food!

We ordered out and drove far to try this place. It was terrible. No vegetables, very little flavour in panang, no vegetables and drenched in heavy sauce for the pad Thai. Sorry but this was very disappointing - especially at $70 for 3 dishes.

The service was excellent. The shrimp spring rolls were excellent. I ordered pad thai with chicken. I didn't enjoy this version, but that is me. I am use to a particular style from my time living in Bangkok. It wasn't bad, just different for me. My friend enjoyed his meal. He said it was excellent.
