"Whilst it was clean and I could read all the sign postings here, there was a homeless person sat near the main area"
"It’s a great park with chinese history in calgary clearly explained in the sign"
"Well maintained park even in winter time"
"My daughter and I were in the area to take pictures for one of her school projects"
"Definitely one of the better views of the city"
Whilst it was clean and I could read all the sign postings here, there was a homeless person sat near the main area. This discouraged me from fulling taking in the area as it should be (worth going to and learning the history of the area). As a budding photographer, would have loved to take some shots of the main statue, but as described previously, those shots would've included a homeless person.. not the end of the world
It’s a great park with chinese history in calgary clearly explained in the sign. There’re also a nice river view. You may see bridges along the coast as well. There’re quite a lot of wide animals such as geese and birds. It’s good to enjoy sunshine while walking/ biking in the park. There is a large grass area for you to rest on as well.
Well maintained park even in winter time. It is more of a relaxation park for corporate runners during lunch time. If it's a leisurely walk, then you can access several other nice places within half hour walk. Eau Claire, Pricencess Island park, Peace Bridge, are to the west. Riverfront walkway, new zoo suspension bridge are to the east.
My daughter and I were in the area to take pictures for one of her school projects. When all of a sudden a homeless person started yelling and screaming for no apparent reason. It frightened my daughter, although I reassured her she's fine because I'm with her. We left shortly after, and we'll never be back.
Definitely one of the better views of the city. Great for a little walk, place to park if you're going downtown and don't mind climbing a hill to get back or place to take some scenic photos. Half of this park is an off leash dog park, keep that in mind as there is a ton of dogs running around usually
Awesome little park! Lots of benches and trees and public art to enjoy. Riverside with a beautiful view. There are lots of geese in this area and they are usually ok... But they can be a bit aggressive/defensive around dogs so I'd recommend giving them plenty of space if passing through your pup.
Very nice park with the touch to Chinese history. It is better to come here through the Chinese district so that you can dive into the atmosphere from the beginning. Interesting installation, some benches to sit & relax. From this place you can continue to another park which is just beside.
Best Park in the city of calgary. I moved out here and have spent a lot of time around the parks in the area. (They all run together.) I really enjoy everything this part of the city has to offer. I suggest if you are even here as a tourist stop by and check out these parks.
Bersih 4 Canada is happening in Calgary, Alberta - at Sien Lok Park (2 blocks from Prince Island Park). It is on Saturday (August 29th, 2015) starting at 2pm Mountain Time. Everyone is encourage to join this meaningful rally. Please help to spread the word. Thank you.
Great park to visit if you find yourself near the river or in Chinatown. Lots of benches to pop a squat and people watch or nature watch. Would definitely recommend exploring other parts of this area as well. Can get quite a bit busy with lots of bikes in the summer.
Named after a so-called society which was incorporated to preserve Chinese culture in city of Calgary, this in fact is a piece of land with a few benches and monuments erected to keep the Chinese happy so they could be proud that they have a park in Calgary!
When it's a Chinook, do not have a beer and sit there enjoying the amazing view. On a winter Saturday when it's unseasonably warm, and everyone is out enjoying the city. Do not grab a seat and have a beer.
There really isn't much here, and there are some large condo buildings under construction, so it's not a great place to hang out. There are other, better places to hang out on the river.
Nice place, a group of bengal owners are meeting there sat and sun 1 pm to walk our cats All cats welcome Wish the city would clean the geese poop off the grass like the other cities do
Lots of great Chinese restaurants here. Right across from the park. Go for a walk, sit on a bench to think or just people watch. Or Hope on a scooter and scoot up and down the pathway
Nice place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Unique sculptures make a nice photographic backdrop. There is enough walking space to allow for exercise and dog parks are close by.
Stopped here on our bike ride along the pathway. Great spot on a Sunday afternoon with lots of local culture taking place. Enjoyed a group practicing some dances with dragons.
This is a great park, but there is one of the art sculptures that needs to be fixed as it misses few parts of ut and I showed that with pictures I took using my phone. More
If I were to remember right was spending time with someone I find to be important in my life but I don't think it is mutual or if it is she's very closed off about that...
A neat little park that connects to the riverwalk paths. Prefect place to meet up with people and go for a walk. Also has some pokestops for kids to play pokemon go.
Nice little park with plenty of benches. This park is clean and close by the river. Good for people watching as they stroll through Chinatown and Riverfront.
Good place to go for a walk. It was pretty empty during the winter and the view of the Calgary's skyline and the river are gorgeous. Good for bicycles too.
A pretty little park located beside Prince's Island Park, has some sculptures and benches, there's also a Segway tour that departs from this park
Beautiful park with many statues, and tile monuments on the ground. Right by the waterfront, this park also features Calgary's star gate.
It is a small park-like space with an obelisk in the middle and a few benches. No restrooms. Very little shade, but close to the river.
The park is right next to Chinatown and Its nice to walk there. Or just sit around or jogging around and admire the river is nice.
A beautiful space with plenty of seating. A great people watching area but watch out for aggressive geese and their poop.
Very close to downtown. But a very small park. There is bow river pathway which goes to princess island park and ahead to
It's a really small park honestly but it's right next to Prince's Island park which is the best park in Calgary probably
Pretty spot near the river. Would definitely recommend if you're in Calgary and want to see a scenic part of the City.
Very nice small park. There are few branches and riverfront view. You can often see there ducks, rabbits and squirrels
Very small park located adjacent to the river and pathway. Nice place to visit when you are in Chinatown or downtown.
Not much of a view. It is also broken up by pathways so you can only sit on the benches a watch people walk around.
Nice park. Kept very clean. Would be more aesthetically pleasing if the segway tour container thing wasn't there.
Nice little urban park with a statue in the center portraying the Asian experience of coming to North America.
Not bad pretty well kept looked like was some work going on not a very big park but still a nice walk threw.
Nice place to check out, we hopped on some scooters and had a blast looking at the historical stories …
A great little park to sit and watch Canadian geese doing their best lawnmower impressions across the lawn.
This is a nice little gem in the city. I really enjoyed seeing the geese and their babies walking around.
This park is gorgeous and spacious, and it's one of the best views you can get from a park in the city.
Great place to take the dogs for a walk after dinner. A lot of cyclists flying down the paths though.
Great place for a picnic with rolling grass and shady trees... I loved the colorful flowers as well!
A nice park with lots of benches and different view of the city. Good walk to Prince's island park.
Nice park by the Bow River. Great place to chill with a Bubble tea from the Chinese neighborhood.
Excellent spot to rest along the bike paths. Neat sculpture and a nice view of downtown as well.
Love this bridge to most it's an average bridge but read the information plaques along the way
Take a load off and relax here, enjoy the structure then continue north-west for more beauty.
A small park near Chinatown.nice to get boba tea and then head to this park and just relax
Finally we can see a nice place to photograph behind Chinatown and close to the river.
Really nice park, should have taken pictures to share. Oh watch for cobra chickens.
Lots of construction in this area kind of ruins the enjoyment of an inner city park
Beautiful representation of the Chinese presence in Canadian life over the decades.
Beautiful area of Riverfront Ave and a great spot for the Canada Day Fireworks!!
Very good place. Neat and CLEAN. Atmosphere great. Parking facilities adequate.
Great for playtime for the kids, very close to downtown business and shopping.
Having such a place in downtown is a great..food place for walking and biking
Because there is tons of positive chi/prana/orgone there to cleanse the body
Peaceful walk along the river. Perfect place to do some mindful meditation.
Great in summer too cold in winter like the rest of the entire country tbh
There's a good path for walking and cycling through here along the river.
I'm surprised how many homeless people there are in this part of Calgary.
Nice little park that next to the river front, and next Segway tour.
Perfect spot to watch the fireworks on the 1st of July - Canada Day
Excellent view of city centre skyline from a north to south view.
Just a small park for the kids. Kids loved climbing the trees!
Good for walk or bike, a lot of families but still very quiet.
Perfect spot for bicycle riding along the Bow River in Calgary
The Best park in Calgary + river beauty excellent combination
Good for puppy training, a bit too busy for proper distancing
A small but nice park by the river. Close to downtown hotels.
Clean fun great for walking with family safe and interesting!
Decent park to jog, bike, bring your dog or just walk around
A lovely little park just west of the centre street bridge.
It's a small park beside the Bow River but nicely arranged.
Very nice park to visit and honor Canadian/Chinese heritage
Great place to spend some time with the view on the river .
Very cute park with a nice view of the city and bow river.
Great atmosphere good view love the scenery it's beautiful
Nice place to sit and rest while walking along the river.
Love this park!! The river, the sun, the geese!! Love it!
Loved spending the day here very nice and friendly people
nice park but there is geese poop covering the ground
Always the best park to watch Canada Day fireworks at
Cute little path in the beautiful 'china town' area.
It's a decent walk - fairly peaceful and quiet too.
Interesting statues and gorgeous area to check out.
A small part of park near eau Claire and China Town
Just a good place to head towards on my bike ride
Nice sunny spot close to the river and chinatown
