LAKE SETTING This amazing little cafe is situated on the deck of the Federation style multi-tennant building at the intersection of Forest Lake Boulevard and The Esplanade. PARKING There is plenty of parking just outside and a secondary carpark just 50 metres down the road. That makes it a really convenient place to meet up with others while you sit in the covered verandah admiring the lake view as you drink your espresso style coffee. DOG FRIENDLY And being on an external deck the owners welcome people and their dogs who are walking around the lake. GREAT COFFEE, GREAT STAFF Relaxed and friendly, great management and staff, wonderful situation and excellent Merlo coffee .. what more can you ask for ? UPDATE : Recently Simple Bliss has been granted a licence to sell wine and beer if that's more your style.

Best kept secret in the suburbs! I can sit to work, or there's bench tables I can stand at. The BEST coffee in Brisbane. Yum! ☕️ Perfect sized mugs. AND NOW, they're opened until 6pm on weekends AND they're licensed!! Pet friendly, so you can walk your furry friend around the lake and then pop up for a cuppa or a wine while ur dog gets a water bowl & free treat. I would like to see a more varied food menu, esp with opening later & having drinks. However, the grilled ham, tomato & cheese was the best version of this classic I've had. And they do a mean acaci bowl. My absolute favourite place in the area. Really friendly owner/staff

Ordered 2 takeaway coffees and waited 25 mins. No pre warning about wait time or apoligy for waiting just "Thanks for waiting". Lg Flat white was only 3/4 full, rest was foam with burnt tasting milk and the Med Long Black was honestly one of the most awful tasting coffees i have had in years but to make matters worse the cup also started to fall apart and leak before it was cool enough to even take a sip. I'm a Barista myself so I understand that sometimes there can be a wait due to busy times, but good customer service will give you a heads up so you can decide if you are able to wait or not. Because of this unexpectent wait, our plans of taking the dogs for a walk had to change and went home instead. Just something to be mindful about.

Beautiful little cafe with a lovely view of the lake. The staff were so so nice and made me feel welcome. The drinks have great prices for the size that you get. It's nice that you can choose to sit at a table near the counter, or be around the corner where it's more quiet. I ordered an iced mocha and thoroughly enjoyed it even though it's not my usual drink.

I had my large pram with me and found a nice table to sit at which still allowed the pram to be out of the way. There's no activities for older children to do.

Love this place! Even before I moved to Forest Lake I have loved this spot. Great location looking over the lake. The current owners have done an excellent job adding to the menu and sprucing it up. Food and coffee are great too. The new salami, cranberry & Brie toasties are a definite win.

Lovely service, greeted with a smile - toastie was accidentally dropped but didn't affect overall experience whatsoever as the staff was very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious - we had chicken curry croissant and toastie, high recommend both. I also had an oat matcha that really hit the spot. This was all while looking out over the lake - 6 stars if I could.

Best açai bowl I’ve had in the longest time!!! The smoothie and the fruits used were so fresh and the granola was beautiful!!! Service excellent and such a great view overlooking the river!! Been meaning to come here for a sunset session to have a wine & a cheese platter! Hope you guys continue to open a bit later in future! x

GORGEOUS Cafe. You'd never think you were in the suburbs! Coffee is Delicious, comes in 3 diff size mugs & my mocha was made with real chocolate. Acai bowl was heavily. Beautifully positioned overlooking a very pretty lake full of flora & fauna. There are tables in the sun for winter or shaded with a breeze off the lake for summer. Dog friendly. Perfect end to a walk around the lake. Will definitely be making this a regular stop

A wonderful small cafe located on outside elevated verandah deck overlooking the lake. Lovely views and a relaxing atmosphere. The Merlo coffee is delicious and a reasonable price. Although not a full scale menu the toasties, croissants, pastries and cakes are delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Doggo friendly too!

The only cafe in the Forest Lake Parkland or around the lake area. Always opened even in public holidays. A great place to have a relaxing moment and to take in the unrivalled lake scenery. Great baristas except few vegan options but luckily coffee with any alternative milks. I especially love the different vintage spoons to add some flavors to the Merlo coffee.

Pretty average at best to be fair. Most disappointing thing was not being told it would take them 45 minutes to make a coffee and a smoothie I’ve got nothing better to do anyway. cannot pull the busy card - busy is 15 minute wait for a takeaway coffee not 45 minutes. 45 minutes for two drinks is poor time management on your end. A peaceful place to enjoy water views in a slightly elevated position. A verandah has seating for a few tables. Parking is available. The food offered is healthy and the coffee really good. Seating is in short supply, although there is some seating outside. A recommended cafe.

Great spot, great food, great people and great views. Eating by lake was so serene and the team behind the counter are some wonderful people who actually care about their customers. Also you may not be able to see the shop from the street but the signs. They've laid out made it super easy to find. I'll be visiting again!!

Great for a coffee and a no fuss breakfast. Recommend the chicken curried toastie!

Friendly staff, a good selection of smoothies, cakes and savouries, and some beautiful views of the lake. Plenty of undercover and outside seating, alongside parking at the front or in the nearby car park. The toasties were a little greasy, but somewhat expected, and we were served quite quickly.

Don't order anything else than coffee. You will never get them. My friend ordered a coffee and it took 3 mins, and my smoothie took 15 mins. It's not the first time I had this experience, such waste of time.

Great location and FANTASTIC staff and service. Since the new owners bought the Cafe it's a completely different experience (for the better). I especially recommend their Mango Iced Tea Spritz, and Raspberry and Passionfruit Meringue tarts. Such a lovely place.

A popular little spot, and for good reason. Great, friendly service and a great location overlooking the Lake. Curry Chicken toasties are excellent. And the dark hot choc is really yummy. Take a stroll around the lake after, it's well worth it. More

Worth the 60km round trip on my bike to get here. Friendly service, great coffee, choice of inside or outside dining. Brilliant view over the lake. Plenty of fauna and flora to look out. Check it out before or after a walk around the lake.

Delicious food and great service. We regularly stop for breakfast after walking the dog around the lake. Gf/DF options and delicious Merlo coffee served in huge mugs with iconic spoons. We have ours with Alt. Dairy Co almond milk

Coffee was lovely, food was good (acai bowl & jam croissant); simple & filling, setting on the lake was very nice also, staff were polite & witty. Will definitely be back

Love the smooth velvety coffee that Astrid makes. She uses Maleny Farmer's Choice Milk. It makes such a difference. While your coffee is being made just sit back and watch the ducks swimming across the lake. ♥

Meet with my friends at Simple Bliss. This place is STUNNING! We sat overlooking a scenic lake. A mother duck was taking her 5 chicks out on the water among the lilies.

The coffee tastes great and it is nice to look over the lake while you're drinking it. Always impressed with the friendly service, the people make me want to come back.
