Slater and Gordon took over my compensation case from a law firm they had bought out in early 2012. My case had a multitude of case managers as the company restructured and staff moved locations to Ashfield. My case was in the 5th year before we finally started negotiating with the insurance company of the liable party. Now into 6 years of lost income combined with doctors & specialist bills. Slater and Gordons staff talked of big payout figures and told me, "it's a process". But I couldn't get them to return a phone calls or give me a progress update, Then in a pre- hearing negotiation I was offered a fraction of figures that had been mentioned. To cut a long story short, I played hardball and got as much as I could. Slater and Gordon took over $120 000 of my payout, not bad aye for 2 face to face meetings, 2 or 3 specialist reports and scans paid for by medicare. Then recently a matter came up where I requested copies of my files for a court matter. I myself made 3 phone calls to Slater and Gordon and my Council also made several requests for information regarding my injuries with a very slow response. My name is Mike McGee I am a client of Gabriella Giunta and she has been acting on my behalf in a class action against the ACT Government. Do NOT bother wasting your time. They took my files promised me the world and i never heard from them again. Has been well over a year. Each time i call the receptionist takes my details down and tells me i will get a call back. Never happens. Just recently the receptionist told me my files were archived and my case closed whereas my case is well and truly not over.
