Well,I would like give an advise who wants to buy fish in this shop.Owner has no idea about this creatures,he is only interested to sell them. but for him this is not a pet but just a simple marketing,guys before you buying your pets from that shop be prepared that you know all about fish,cos he has no idea. There is two type of pet sellers- Who care and advise about the pet he is selling and another one who only cares about money. We lost 6 fishies in less than 3 month with his advise because we didn't know that some tipe of fish can't live together,and some has been killed by others,but he said is all good and all friendly.Also ,on eBay that plastic stuff he sells for pets you can order much cheaper,it's just a rip off shop. Avoid this seller . Kind Regards

I have been dealing with Small holders for a few months now and can only shower praise on this extraordinary establishment. Extremely impressed all-round with the customer service and the quality of the fish/products sold there. Kevin who is the owner, is very helpful, knowledgable and easy to deal with. The tropical fish and turtles I purchased recently were of an exceptional standard, treated beforehand, well packed and carefully handed over to me. I now have three fish tanks, two ponds and a terrarium with happy healthy fish/turtles exploring their new habitats thanks to Kevin. I will be using Small holders for all my future pond and tank requirements 10/10

Great shop, they treat their fish nicely as well as packaging them in good plastic bags, if you have any questions they can answer and help you out quickly. I bought an otocinculus, a cory and a guppy.The conditions of the tanks are clean and kept warm. I am also really happy they sell turtles, as I couldn't find anywhere local to buy some. Overall I had a pleasant experience, however I will say they currently don't have a huge variety of fish but still enough for most customers so please double check before you go, if you live far away for any specific fish.

The have a good variety of fish and the store looks really good and good price. Unfortunately, got 6 tetra and 2 guppies and I introduce them in a community aquarium. After four days the whole aquarium was infected with velvet, the 2 fishes that were in the aquarium and one of guppies survive,but the other 7 fishes died. The infection couldnt come from my aquarium because I had it for like 6 months. I should use a quarantine aquarium but I trust the shop. Not sure if this was an isolated case but be careful on the fish quality you buy at the shop

Have read some reviews that they dont give good advice on turtles. Well let me tell you what... yes they do i have now bought 5 turtles and various tropical fish with all set ups. They advise on food uv lamps care basking temperatures water treatments everything you would need to know they also tell you to pop in or call anytime if any doubts. So to me this is absolutely great knowledge and amazing customer service something you will not get in any bigget chain. Would never go anywhere else. Keep up the good work guys. :)

Literally just left there with a new fish tank and accessories. I am soo for supporting small businesses. Kevins dreamy pet store is wonderful. Great service and honest business men. We looked around everywhere to the fish tank we wanted and finally found it in this fantastic place. The owner Kevin is very knowledgable and couldn’t be more helpful. We got everything we wanted and I’ve even phoned him on numerous occasions since for further advice and honestly nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and will 100% be giving further business to them.

Very welcoming & friendly guys...that's the both who are there on a daily basis. Been here for decades, gives honest advice, prices are brilliant, has a lovely variety of tropical & cold water fish, terrapins & musk turtles .....stocks a wide range of fish food, medicines & aquarium equipment. Frozen food for fish too, meal worms & morioworms. If your into fish? Check him out, won't disappoint..

I’m all for small businesses!! I Purchased 12 fishes from this store and 2 musk turtles .The guy in the store is very helpful! Not to sure what his name is. I take my son there every other week with my other half to see what new fishes they have. There are lots of variety of fishes. Very affordable aswell. My go to pet shop now!

I bought a musk turtle with setup today and I have to say that Kev is a great guy with a lot of knowledge - explaining everything and recommending me a great tank for the little guy despite it being cheaper than the other options. Love this place, I visit it nearly every other week, never realy been the type to get exited iver fish till I found this buisness, would highly recommend and fish are 100% better quality that any you would get from like pets at home, all the fish are healthy here and highly hardy, nice people and overall great place

One of the best shops in Forest Gate. Excellent staff with excellent knowledge and beautiful well looked after fishes. They sell everything for pets and is a little gem! Been around for donkey years and now we know why, because they are the best at what they do. Wish them a merry Christmas and plenty more success!

Have bought some fish from here and shrimps too this was a few months ago and everything going well with them. Have just returned from holiday and my mollies have just given birth and now I have about 20 fry, what do you recommend I do with them. Would you consider taking them to resell ?

An aquatic haven in Forest Gate. Seems small but this shop has everything if you plan to get an aquarium or fish for home. Been in existence since 37 years and the owners are so friendly and helpful. I love this place and have always bought my aquarium supplies from here.

Looks small on the outside but it's lovely inside, good selection of tropical fish, they all look happy and healthy and they have some lovely looking kittens that look happy playing with each other. Very friendly staff. Will be visiting again to buy some fish …

Fantastic shop! Staff are very friendly and happy to help. Good selection of quality cat food and they will even order a specific brand for you if ask. Lots a tropical and cold water fish in the back rooms, happy to have found this place after moving to Forest Gate.

Smallholders is a little gem. A range of tropical fish and equipment, and almost everything you might need for any pet and wild birds. Friendly and helpful staff, and a charming African Grey parrot (not for sale) to amuse your kids (watch their fingers!).

Went there today to buy some goldfish,The staff was incredibly helpful and took the time to explain what fish were suitable together and key information on how to take care of them.My fish were energetic and healthy. Will come again!

All the basic pet products are right there. There is a good fish and aquatic selection (for such a small shop). The staff is really friendly and helpful, if you're buying more it's possible to negotiate a small discount.

They lack basic information in looking after turtles. They don't even tell you what sizes tank you need and that you need a basking and uvb light! Perhaps shouldn't sell turtles if they give bad advice to customers.

Nice little petshop with a nice fish collection. The gentleman helped us chose our fish and was very patient with my children who kept changing their mind!.... dont park on Woodgrange road though, I got a ticket!

Called in for some fish tank weed...ended up spoiling the fish with new fun glowing plants and an imitation log. SO many great things stuffed into this shop for pets and even some violas outside for the garden!
