This would be my third Soapy Joe location that I’ve been to and they are all different. I feel like some places have longer drive thru than others and some places have better car wash brushes. When you turn in the driveway, you’ll need to make a sharp right to approach the machines. There are three different price point. I got the $20 Magic Joe wash. Someone was there to help you work the machine. Once you approach the tunnel wash, someone is there to guide you to align your tires to the rail. They also give you an air freshener. Going through the wash was like being at a club with all different color light show. Multiple colors more like a foam party! Afterwards, pick any empty available stalls to use the towels to dry and vacuum. We came at 6:30pm and there were no more clean dry towels. Just wet and damp used towels. I’m afraid to use those in case people use it to clean their tires or something that would scratch my paint. So bring a shammy cloth. I didn’t feel that this location properly cleaned my car. My front car hood was completely dried. Either the drier did an exceptional job or it just missed it completely while the back was dripping wet.

I normally go out of my way to Santee's Five Star Express Car wash, and I will continue to do so. This was my first time at Soapy Joe's in Mission Valley, and I was not impressed. First up was the kid tryijng to upsell me to a membership. I simply wanted to get my car clean, one time, and opted for the $20 top wash. I went through and drove straight home, without pulling into a bay. I live five minutes away. When I got out, the trunk and bumper area of my 2023 Camry was still covered in dirt. Their system doesn't wash the back and left hard water spots all over it. Five Star Express does not. I will not be returning to any Soapy Joe's car washes!

I love going to Soapy Joes car wash - overall, the facility is great and the customer service is pretty good. However, I have noticed a few issues that seem to be consistent among other customers. Several times, I've encountered vacuum stalls that aren't working and a lack of clean rags, as well as trash left on the deck. I understand that some people might not take care of the equipment properly, but it would be great if the staff could check on the equipment more frequently instead of just hanging out at the main area. Nonetheless, I still recommend Soapy Joes for their good service and overall excellent facility

I wish I read the reviews before coming here because the amount of people reporting scratches from this wash is exceptional. My brand new car now has minor scratches on the doors and large circular scratches on the roof (pictured). It’s much worse in person. Not too mention the wash didn’t even clean my car well. I went to fry it off and there was still dirt and grime so my car is now damaged and dirty. Take your money elsewhere so you aren’t spending hundreds to get the scratches buffed out.

I had been here a couple of times before and things were chaotic and unorganized, lines were slow and long, I would get the wrong wash when I paid for a certain type… you can imagine. Everything ran way more smoothly today and we all know this is an extremely busy location to pull that off with. The place apparently has a new manager by the name of Simon. Very friendly guy who seems to know what he’s doing. It shows! Great job! :)

Mr. Calvin is an upstanding young man. Courteous. Intentional in how and when help is needed. I am a disabled middle aged woman…and it brings joy to my heart knowing Calvin coms along side and helps me take care of my vehicle. He is bringing about great improvement to this Soapy Joes location!!!!! Simon is also a great young man. Helpful, hard working. Smart. Good personality for the public.

No Bueno Paid $20 for the "best" car wash they have and it literally did nothing to clean the spots off my car I can rub them off with a rag so shouldn't the car was be able to?? It also broke off my passenger side mirror so now I gotta pay to get that glued back on They also do not pre spray the car down prior to it going thru the pointless "spot free" wash

Expect to be here over 20 mins just waiting in line. Half of the vacuums don’t have work or are broken. No clean towels half the time either. My tires had brush strokes of oil still on them after the wash today. The price of the car wash has doubled, you wouldn’t think the quality of the business would go down. I miss when soapy joes was quick and cheap to use.

I would like to stay that the workers at soapy joes are very helpful in answering my questions. Especially Julio he went above and beyond any one I had ever seen go out his way to get my answer resolved. He loves his job, and he is really a great person I can see that through his personality. I rate him five stars. His mom must be proud.

Wow! I had such an amazing experience here. I can honestly say no other car wash can compared. The services were quick, easy and top-tier. When I needed help, assistance came right away and all my needs/questions were met.The crew ensured my car and myself received the best quality treatment! Definitely coming back here soon!

These guys broke a piece off my car. There’s video of it happening. Not only did they refuse to take responsibility their excuse was the age of my car. My car is a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas. These people cannot be trusted to do right by their customers. Disgusting!!!!

My car looks great once again ! Keeps getting better and better. The service is so great from the manager Nicole all the way to the car wash details. I love it and will come back again and again. The windows got so clean I was scared the birds might fly into them.

Soapy Joe’s has always been reliable to me, amazing customer service. Kelvin, the manager I believe, was great! Definitely enjoyed interacting with him. Personable dude. Happy to have visited this location and looking forward to coming back! God bless y’all …

I feel so lucky this is the closest car wash to me! They have great deals and the nicest staff - super helpful, professional, and friendly. The manager Kelvin introduced himself on a busy weekend and took time to hook it up, will definitely be back often.

First time visiting this location, very clean and up to date. Kelvin was very kind and offered excellent customer service , had some issues with membership and he was able to help me out with that. Def one of the best locations of soapy joes in SD !

This place was never a favorite but getting worse. Brown vacuums to zero and I mean 100% clean towels in any of the bins. $13? Up from $10? No thank you

You can join with the monthly plan and wash your car so often that the paint starts to look outstanding and robust.
