Place is clean, staff is friendly, but this automated carwash did a garbage job of cleaning my car, and the cost for even the most basic wash is a way too high. There is nowhere to see the prices until you are already in line and committed, as there is no way to turn around. The system is poorly calibrated and each "station" in the carwash was delayed. The entire hood and windshield of my car would have passed by the time the soap started spraying or the rinse started. The front half of my car was never rinsed, I would have gotten a better wash just spraying my car with a garden hose. I contacted the company via their website about it, figuring it was just growing pains with the recent opening, but never got a response. A basic, poorly performed carwash is not worth $15.

There are two entrances into this place and the second one pretty hard to get into especially if you don't know that you should not be making a u-turn at the main street but when I found their real entrance you know the one that people should go through success! It had a large vacuum area. The only issue I think I thought I might want to have is it sounded like the washing brushes hitting my car hit the much harder than they hit from the other Soapy Joe's I'm curious to see if anybody else has or come to that conclusion.

1st time customer at this new location, lines we’re decent, took about 10 minutes in and out car wash, total 40 minutes, didn’t have to wait for self service vacuums, plenty towels in blue bin left my car nice and clean, one thing going to exit is a bit confusing backing out I couldn’t get out the way I came in, due to traffic lanes and traffic buildup due to cars exiting car wash but was able to make it out safely due to a nice man guiding my direction. I will definitely come back to this location!

Great service and quick and easy. It’s a new location so it can get busy but overall very nice. Talia was a great help getting me a coupon on my wash! Also, the vacuums are the best in the area as they don’t require any coins to use (it’s included with the wash) and they provide clean towels each time if you forget. Been coming to Soapy Joes for a while and I have no doubt that this experience today at Kearny Mesa solidified why they’re the best car wash chain in San Diego.

I have noticed that the Soapy joes wash process leaves scratches and scuffs on my vehicle. Please feel free to contact me. Separately, the supervisor Carolina (at the Convoy location) was rude and well below standard while interacting with her team. The “CEO” wants clients to ONLY have the sticker on the vehicle which further damages your vehicle. I’m saddened to see this from my favorite car wash company. Please contact me. Asap.

The latest Soapy Joe’s is on Convoy. I’ve been to so many around town and I think this one is my favorite. The drive thru seems really short but my favorite would be the dryer at the very end. It’s so powerful! 16 tubes on both sides to get every crevice of dripping water dried off! Other Soapy Joe’s have one hose on each side. The vacuum lot is also huge and spacious. Everything is new at the moment like the towels and vacuums.

Had a great visit the other day at this Soapy location. I have been a Soapy Joe user for years and this location has always been a stand-out in terms of service, cleanliness, and staff. Sasha was great to meet and an attentive tunnel director, very helpful when I had questions about the current deals. I look forward to visiting again, always a highlight of my day to see my car shining again thanks to this amazing establishment.

Place feels overpriced and doesn’t do as good a job cleaning cars. The wash is shorter than LUV car wash down the road. At the moment since they are new the wait lines are longer than say a long established car wash. They offer monthly plans that does have the ceramic coating option which is new as far as car washes go. Maybe when the “omg this place is brand-new” rush of people dies down it will be worth the time.

Warning! Be careful taken your vehicle to car washes like this. My car was dirty and what happens with a car wash like this is The dirt on your car and the brushes that they use it has a sandpaper type reaction. They did not take care of the scratches caused by this reaction on my vehicle you can tell it was the brushes because it was circular motion scratches. I would never go there again!

There are several locations for the Soapy Joe’s. This one is located in convoy Street. They have sometimes promotional memberships which is really good. I tried it several months and very convenient and fast car wash but my car doesn’t suits for the Automatic car wash after all because I see few scratches after the car wash and side mirrors are always gets moved after the Auto wash.

Outstanding customer service! Used this car wash today. went back because something had fallen off my car in the car wash. The gentleman inside went inside the car wash not once but twice to look for the item. Also, they are offering one dollar unlimited car washes for the entire month of August to celebrate their opening. Love when companies go the extra mile for their customers!

I just had my car washed at Soapie Joe's, and am absolutely blown away by the level of service and quality of wash here. The staff and Caro in particular were incredibly friendly and attentive - while also helping to resolve a billing issue. My car has never looked so good, I would highly recommend Soapie Joe's to anyone looking for a great wash. Will definitely be back!

This Soapy Joe's is much better than the one off of Friars. It doesn't have that horrible U turn to get your car washed. Also if you have trick, clear out your bed BEFORE you enter. The guy in front of us didn't do that then stopped right before the car wash and we had to wait over ten minutes for him to figure out what to do with the stuff in the bed of his truck.

These guys were awesome. Only reason I came was because I heard “free car wash” on the radio. These guys were energetic and fun, and I actually ended up getting a monthly membership because of the great infinite wash deal (and incentive to actually clean my car lol). All in all, great place to get your car washed with a vacuum area.

DO NOT GO HERE! I use my membership all over San Diego and this is the worst location. The left side STRATCHES your car from the very front all the way to the back. I didnt think it was this until i went back for a 2nd time. I am canceling my membership. They don't care about you or your car, go to a mom-and-pop shop.

Nice staff for sure. Took my daughter's car through for the $17 wash and it came through still loaded with dirty and/or pollen spots. They were nice enough to let me take it through again, but it didn't help much. Not sure their water is hot or they let the soap stay on long enough.

Had some trouble w my credit card during the $1 special they were having and Sasha hooked me up w a free wash while I contacted my bank, have been using this car wash for a few months now and it’s very nice to have nearby my home and also it has a lot of vacuums available the time

Convoy located Soapy Joes is great! Theirs is always space to vacuum the car and even during rush hour the employees know how to manage the line to keep under control. Site manager Johnny is also always on top of things and making sure that the washes on the car are doing great.

John was very friendly as was everyone there today. We have been waiting for a soapy Joe’s to open a location closer to home. So happy you are in Kearny Mesa now. Wash was really fast so I wasn’t sure how good of a job it would be, but it did a great job with my very dirty car!

They are so sweet! I’ve been to all the Soapy Joes but this one is special! One of the workers saw I was spot cleaning and offered a complimentary upgrade so I can see how much better the higher grade wash is. I’ll definitely be coming back and possibly upgrade!!

Decent carwash with vacuums. You can purchase a Annual Magic Joe carwash through Costco and save a couple bucks. Only issue is the sticker they place on your car. Which doesn’t scan on its own, and staff always has to clean it, so it can be scanned.

So happy that this location has opened up near me! Numerous, spacious spots to vacuum your car, strong vacuums, and they’re offering a $1 dollar membership for the first month (Enroll by Aug 31) for any package, including the top one, Magic Joe!

Employees were helpful and I happened to go when they had a special for a $1 membership for the 1st month. All of their memberships are unlimited washes and free vacuums whenever. The actual drive-thru wash was quick and worked pretty well.

Great equipment here for vacuums and cloths. The staff won't really pay much attention to you, just want to get you through as quickly as possible. The vacuums are strong, and there's ample cloths to use so didn't mind it at all.

Had an issue with my membership bar code not scanning when I go to check in. It has happened twice now. The air freshener that they give you smells really good, but only last for about 24hrs. It's it a good car wash though.

This place is better than the other car wash places but you still end up with water spots on your car if you don't immediately try it off. It also tends to miss a couple spots here and there and they don't end up clean.

Went by on Veterans Day for my free car wash. It was clean, well stock with clean towels and gentle on my car. The staff was friendly and professional. Shout out to Ivy for taking care of me. I will definitely be back.

I clean about 100 cars a year and I can tell after going to every different car wash in town that Soapy Joe is the best. Service, employees, quality of machines everything is better than the rest.

Just had a new window installed and needed to vacuum out the broken glass, they let me use their vacuums foe free without having to get a car wash. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

A 5 minute time limit to vacuum my car is ridiculous, specifically because I am disabled, and frankly take longer! That is a rule I will not be following, literally because I'm physically unable.

Standard drive Thur car wash but TONS of parking spots for wiping down and vacuuming your car. You won't feel rushed like at other locations with only a few spots.
