The new renovated store is very nice. It is clean and bright and well laid out. They have always had great selection and variety of both produce and shelf stocked items and I can get items at this store that I am not able to get at some other chains of grocery stores. The meat department and the butchers there are very good as well. There are good sales and good quality meat cuts, but you can always ask for a different size or something they don't have on the shelf already and they will do their best to provide it for you if they can. Sometimes they do run out of sale items, but they usually do try to accommodate our know when they are getting their next truck in with more. The bakery at this store is fantastic and my family loves their fresh bread, Tray buns, and French bread loaves over all other grocery stores bakeries. Their cakes are also very good, especially the Tiramisu cake. They do special orders and we have ordered their birthday cakes before as well. They have always had them correct and on time. The deli is huge. More selection of meats and cheeses than other nearby stores. Always cut fresh to order and they are always very precise and accurate on the thickness of cut you desire and on the weight you all for. Very friendly staff in all departments and also for checking out. Lots of self serve checks when you want them, but they also still have several staffed tills open as well. I have only ever had a few minor issues here and every time the managers are able to resolve them to meet or exceed my expectations. Overall, this is an excellent, trustworthy store to do business with and had my recommendation.

I ordered a cake for my son’s birthday 4 days ago. The lady who helped me looks like she’s not interested in taking my order. No eagerness to explain everything. It was ok maybe because she was tired. I also tried to order a fruit platter and sandwich platter unfortunately the lady in the deli who knows everything was not working that night when I came so they asked me to call the store the next day. I called after my work but they told me that the lady only works in the morning and after that day I finally got a chance to order the sandwich platter and fruit platter. Today, I picked up everything. I was so disappointed on the cake. The writing looks like a kid wrote on it, no effort at all. I wanted to cancel the cake but I cannot because the event is today. The box is flimsy so all the frosting went on the side of the box. We cannot remove the cake out of the box to show the nerf picture on the side of the cake because of the ruined frosting. I should have ordered everything at Namao location because they do everything too, when I called on Feb 17 @ 9am and asked if I can order a 4 packs of regular cupcakes for pick-up @ 7:30pm, the lady said they cannot make it for me. But when I called Namao they were so happy to take my order. This location doesn’t make a mac and cheese too don’t make mac and cheese too. So I ended up driving back and fort to different location because Namao made it. I did not take a picture of the cake because it was ugly.

In two months, me and my fiancé will be married. We both lived within a kilometre of the store and before we were dating, we used to come here and walk around the store as a date. Many appreciate the friendly and helpful staff at Sobeys, who provide excellent customer service, people appreciate the deals, and the organized isles that they provide. But this particular sobeys has made such more of an impact in our life. Over the last five years we have gotten to know the staff and they make us feel welcome and like family. the stores that are located in the residential areas are often times more expensive than your large chain grocery stores, but we choose to come here because we are made to feel like family and we have a sense of calm when we walk in. In all seriousness, we considered having our wedding in the sobeys parking lot in Hall Canyon, but unfortunately, we chose to have a traditional wedding for our large guest list go to town. But we just want to make it very clear that this Sobeys in particular go above and beyond your expectations they are cleanly and organized and the staff, every single one of them makes you feel like family. Thank you and we highly recommend this store for all of your future purchases!!!

I would frequent this store a lot as I live a block away. It used to be my favorite grocery store to go to until today... I have never felt so humiliated in my life. I had an unknown payment come out of my account so I thought I had enough money to cover my bill. My card declined so I was confused as to why and said to the cashier if she could take the next person while I go check my bank account in my phone. She glared at me and said "I can't take the next person until you pay!!!" Well I am sorry chicky but I've worked in a grocery store for many years and I know yes you can suspend a transaction and take your next customer so then of course everyone is looking to see what the hold up is and your glaring at me and I say sorry I guess it will have to be all put back I was so ashamed and made even more so embarrassed by your rude employee. She then watches me unpack everything out of my reusable bag and so do the people in the line not a sole offered to help just stares. Never will I be coming back here now.

I've only had one bad experience in this store but it was more than enough to give them a one star! Went to the meat department to get steaks, stood at the counter for over 5 minutes. All 3 people working looked at me multiple times and no one helped me. Two guys went even as far as to go on his phone and show the other employee something on his phone. Being hot headed I finally had to yell at one of the guys to come help me! I even told him " I've been standing here for over 5 f**king minutes and you've all looked at me multiple times and did NOTHING to help me this is poor customer service" He didn't say a single word so I ordered my steaks and left! Not an apology or nothing. Girlfriend and I stopped shopping at this store because of this one experience. Goes to show how easily you can lose business over one bad experience. Poor customer service! Go to Safe On Foods across the street! Much better

Don't buy food from here horrible grocery store sells bad products I bought some sour cream from here went all the way home to find out it was moldy green inside I forgot my wallet at home because I was not planning on leaving my home for the rest of the day so I went back to sobeys showed costumer service some older lady that was rude I asked for another sour cream to replace it they had no more of that bottle so I went and looked for one smaller that could be the same price I found one that was cheaper took it up to costumer service and it was a dallar more I guess I assumed they would let the dallar go boy was I wrong this dumb stingy store would not let a dollar go and this whole thing was there fault never coming back dumb stingy store go to save on foods or no frills or even better Costco much better screw sobeys hollick Kenyon

Went to sobeys to get some chicken thighs that were advertised in flyer. We walked around meat department looking and there was none there only chicken drumsticks. We went to front desk and asked for raincheck. The lady at front said she could not until she confirmed with meat department. So I asked her to call. She said he had no phone and did not know where he is. So again I asked just can I get a rain check. The lady again said no. I am not sure what is with the lady. But I think going there is a waste of my time. If you don't have a product do not advertise it. I will not go to that store again. I feel very offended after being a faithful shopper there since the store was new. Anyone reading this. Do no expect good service.

This is a small location so they do not have everything, but they have all the basics and some really nice ready mades/ ready to cook options. The produce is always pretty good - we don't buy meat that often, but it looks ok there. Sometimes they have some yogurt flavours you cannot find elsewhere which is awesome. The staff is super friendly and helpful. One time they asked if we found everything ok and when I said no, I couldn't find something- they ran and got it for me! The prices are a little high but not bad and they have sales. I'll go there for quick pick ups during the week and do all the big runs to Superstore which the prices you just cannot beat.

Had a poor experience with the cashier Cheryl. Very rude and I personally think she was racist because she was kind to all the white customers until we came to her register. We had no confrontation because we’re not argumentative people, because we are maintaining social distancing, and because we have dealt with racism all our lives. She was just really mean to us based on who we were. Really unfortunate and made us feel horrible for the rest of the day. We spend a lot at Sobeys frequently. It also wasn’t your average tired worker especially in this pandemic. She was being a bully. The rest of the staff were kind today and always are.

I like Sobeys coz I can buy here everything I need, lots of choices, grocery bags are free, can get a cart without a loony, it's clean, no big line up when paying, always with good deals and staff are friendly. I just have one suggestion to the customers to always check your receipt before leaving because it 'always' happens they charge you on a regular price for the 'sale' items you thought are on sale. I always had to come back to the isle if it's really on sale and yah it's on sale but I was charged regular price. They will refund but it's a hassle to come back for a refund. In general I still like so Sobeys :-)

As a vegetarian, I love the selection available in this store. I used to drive downtown for some specialty vegan products, but now this store contains these products which makes grocery shopping all the more convenient. They even have low fat ice cream. It might cost $8 for a small container of it, but it's a lifesaver for me. They also have low fat perogies. Doctor ordered me to go on a low fat diet, and this store makes it easy to eat this way. They also have a great selection of organic products, if your into that way of eating. Personally I love this store.

If I moved to mill woods or fort Mac. I’d probably still come here for my groceries. The staff here are unbelievable and deserve a thank you for being you publicly. The meat department always slices my beef for hot pot meals or pho The deli department always takes care of my daily lunch meats The till staff are always so happy and special mention to Karen. She is always so loving to my daughter Reya as she has seen her grow up from bucket seat too toddler. November 14, 2021 the store is currently undergoing renovations but is still open during the changes. Mostly a facelift with some new fridges and freezers. Still a great store to shop at with good sales and reasonable prices. Sobeys is a grocery store, nothing mysterious here. It’s one of their best locations. As part of the store there is a post office and a pharmacy also. A lot of extras at this location so the vibe is upscale. It’s well lit and clean. Prices are reasonable and the store is easy to get around in. Staff is friendly and courteous.

If you value your health, stay away from this location. The deli here has the most disgusting practices Ive ever witnessed. I asked a woman in the deli to replace the container of chicken salad she gave me as it had some red bloody streaks in it. She got angry, told me its all the same, and slammed the container Id walked around with right back with the rest in the display!!! This is not Covid compliant and the when asked if she was allowed to do that she stated she can do whatever she likes. If you value you health, stay away from this location.

Have been coming to this location for over a decade and have almost always had great experiences! Recently had a less than great experience, but the store manager went above and beyond expectations to make it right, and to ensure that we were happy. As a long time customer, it’s definitely a great feeling! The store is always clean and usually has everything in stock. Great for a one stop shop! Thank you so much again, we really appreciate the generosity, and willingness to make the situation right. Love the store and the new renovations!

While the store is fairly new it has a dark feel to it, as if they forgot to turn on about half the lights, the salad/fresh food/deli counter is nice and cakes bought at this location have been well received, but in general the store layout is odd and when store staff are consulted they often don't have answers (which I prefer when they say "I don't know" when they actually don't know) or send you on a wild goose chase for the item that is no where near where they directed you to go. I avoid shopping here due to these reasons.

Produce is always over priced and priced wrong. Twice I’ve been there and I was over charged for something and then I had to go back and tell them about it and no one says sorry for the inconvenience or anything. The girl I dealt with the one time just said your welcome really loud like I was supposed to say thank you. Grocery’s are expensive as it is, we shouldn’t have to get over charged for them as well. Sobeys is a great store and has lots of other reasons why I love the store but I just wouldn’t go there for the produce.

Fast food pick up considering you are in the food business and allowed this to be served to your customers is disgusting. My experience today Fish dried out and crusty onion rings dried out and as hard as rocks. It would appear had lain under the heating lamps which points to the server for wrapping it up. I personally blame whoever is in charge for not creating a standard of what is acceptable and what is not. Is there no time limit on food just lying under a lamp or is the person in charge working from home

Convenient location and great cashier's. I shop here because it's close to home and for some items they carry. Otherwise I would rather shop elsewhere. I'm constantly finding them out of stock and often it's common items. They've improved in removing expired packaged meats and cheeses. Great cheese selection but often overpriced. They're not picky with the fruit quality so you really have to check it. Good natural foods selection. The cut up fruits are good. Tends to really busy Friday to Sunday.

I just moved to this neighborhood and why not use the closest store. This place has lots of sales fresh foods for what they do have.. but I feel like the store is very small for what it is. It does not have a very large selection and I’m having issues finding things I have on a regular basis. So I will give this place a 3 star. If I was to give one tip and don’t forget this is an example. The cereal isle has next to no selection.. meat seems fresh but I want 1lb not 2 or 3lb of hamburger.

For brand loyalty forsure I think, some stuff is priced high because of the big name of the store and how they have to price items according to rules and regulations but it always has beautiful fresh produce in abundance all staff are very polite from my experience they offer self check out and they even have a Canada post office outlet but (diff. Hours from the store though) worth the trip especially if your a scene points collector

I stopped off at this location a few times a week, especially for the post office. The lady who works there and is extremely efficient, friendly and the lineups usually aren't too bad in the morning. They always have what I'm looking for, prices are a little high but that's to be expected. Glad that we have so many options in our community. They have a great selection of ready to go meal ideas, the best of all the other stores around :)

Recently I caught this location trying (successfully) to rip people off. They were advertising two for one steaks. If you take a look at the price per kilogram on the photos, you will see that they simply doubled the price of the round steak. I don’t know any place on earth where a round steak costs more than top sirloin. As there are several other places in the vicinity, I would avoid this dishonest grocer.

I'd select zero stars if that was possible. Popped in for a couple of items and was surprised to see quite a few customers without masks on. This was on February 17th NOT March 1st when the mandates are supposed change. This was also not the first time or the only Sobeys location where this seems to be happening. Very disappointed that a grocery store can't follow the health guidelines.

Don't come to this location to buy a whole chicken dinner. Went to buy a dinner at 6:30 and the young kid said that they were out of taters for a side and they had no more, no buns out either. But they did have about 20 chickens sitting under the heat lamp. Had to drive across the street to Save on Food's. I even got fresh taters and great service at Save on Food's.

Shoutout to Karen - my family always looks forward to seeing her on our shopping trips. Friendly staff, clean store. The last couple years we have been having more food items turn out bad once getting home. Quality of produce is not good - why shelve something that's already mouldy? Shelves need to be checked for expired dates more especially in vegetarian items.

Great Value on Ground Beef, Frozen Vegetables, Frozen Polish foods and drinks. It's not like No Frills, but unlike the No Frills no name products, Sobeys uses top brand names and sells them competitively. My only pet peace is that in the 90s we had paper bags that were thick and durable, while these days, these paper bags barely carry 2lbs before they tear.

We usually avoid coming to this Canada post location after countless horrible customer service experiences, but we decided to stop by today because this Canada post is the closest and more convenient location for us. It was our first time dealing with Megan today and she was really sweet and helpful. Hope to see her there the next time we come.

Great customer service, I was just stopping by to pick up some stuff on my way home, at checkout, the cashier greeted me, after I was done unloading my basket, another staff took it for me, and there was a 3rd guy helping me pack my stuff, and everyone was welcoming, never had that experience at a grocery store before, so well done!

Sobeys is the best grocery store love to shop there 2 to 3 time a week everything is fresh and good quality with high price the only think I don't likeI very cheap yesterday I bought pack of eggs I ask the cashier for small Plastic bag and she told me I cant give you a bag you should bring your own bag not a good customer service.

We love shopping at Sobey's Hollick Kenyon. We are never disappointed with the service, whether we are in the deli, meat , bakery sections or checkout... the staff all have a wonderful attitudes and are there to help. The produce selection is fresh and we don't buy our meat anywhere else. We always leave with a smile. Well done!

Always full of super kind staff that welcome you every time you come in the door. Love the people here and the prices and the quality. Freshness tracking can be a little wonky sometimes as you will find older products at the back of shelves, but otherwise the store is usually in top notch shape. :)

A little out of the way from the usual Sobeys I shop at, but definitely worth it when I have time! The deli was AWESOME, the store is clean and all the products seemed fresh. The staff were friendly, courteous and there was ample staffing at the checkout. No big lineups, it was great!!

The older man who works in the produce section is absolutely fabulous. He's always super helpful and so friendly to kids. It's never fun taking a toddler shopping, but he certainly makes the experience better. Love that there are fruits at the entrance for small ones to snack on.

Bought a slab cake for my sons 8th birthday. The cake looked nice but the layers of icing in the cake were frozen and icy. The cake layers were also very cold like the whole cake was frozen prior to icing the outside. No one enjoyed it and I threw almost all of it out.

The smell of freshly baked pastries, baked goods, and fresh vegetables as you walk in is always a good thing. Great staff behind the tills and never seems to be rushed or pushed out of the way. Every one is always friendly and willing to help.

It is good place for shopping,,and there is renovation going on, yet it is open for shopping. The customer service is great and they are very helpful. Now, the store is fully operational, all the renovations are over. Full customer service.

Good grocery store. Conveniently positioned relative to where I live. Really good for take out. A little more expensive than the No Frills down the road but generally better selection for making smaller meals rather than weekly meal prep.

Staff are super nice and I'm really happy with their execution of COVID precautions. My only complaint is that sometimes the grapes are either super expensive or on sale. Location is great and parking lot is easy to enter and exit from.

Meat selection is good, steaks are nice and fairly priced. I normally purchase donair meat there also.They have a customer washroom. Staff are always nice and pleasant. My hubby also enjoys the pepperoni sticks from deli.

Clean, not busy, good signage on floor. Enforcing one ways. Practicing social distancing & people limits. Can sanitize my hands coming & going. Lottery booth was closed. :( Can bring your own bags or purchase there.

Asian food from their "to go" area is disastrous. 1st overpriced, 2nd tasts like deepfried fish, 3rd had to take pepto afterwords..... you know where I'm going with this.... do not eat the takeaway food.

Basic grocery store. But much variety of wrapping for their flowers though they do have decent selection. The hot food area has decent selection as well. Free parking. They have okay sales.

This is like a Sobey's Plus. Very large compared to the Sobey's near my home. Extremely wide selection. Very clean, friendly and courteous staff!
