I called 911 because I feared for my safety. the manager committed a crime in an attempt to get our business. I don’t usually post reviews, but I’m truly disgusted by this establishment’s illegal practices. We reserved 2 hours karaoke, but as we arrived, a member of our group had a family emergency and could no longer attend. Before we started the karaoke session, we tried to negotiate with the staff to reduce our reservation to 1 hour. The staff did not give us room to negotiate and wanted us to pay for 2 hours of karaoke, so we just walked away. However, they did not allow us to leave. The girl staff grabbed our arm. The man who claimed he was the manager, used his body and hands to prevent us from leaving. It was clear he went after my friend because she was a smaller girl. He physically confined her in between two parked cars (a small space of only 1.5 feet) He used his hands to stop her from entering the car. He instructed another male employee to guard us while he drove his car behind us to prevent us from leaving. He then proceeded to sit there and guard us. Unlawful confinement without probable cause is a crime punishable in criminal court. (even without direct bodily force) Adding the context of a potential sale escalates the crime to extortion. I warned him twice that I would call the police if he did not stop. He verbally confirmed that he was okay with the police being called. While he was getting his car to block us in, we quickly ran into our car to call 911. It seems the police talked sense into him because he eventually let us leave, but not before coming to our car to take pictures of us. Soju staff explained their reasoning was that their reservation policy makes customers pay the full amount even upon cancellation. If this were true, then they operated in bad faith, as we were not made aware of this policy, nor is it written anywhere on their social media, nor do they have a website stating policies. We were completely within our legal rights to walk away Since we did not yet agree to the price/condition of sale, nor were we provided any service or products. He was scared to lose a potential sale. I was scared for our physical safety. These two are not equal.

In the heart of a lively, intimate space, Soju offers a unique blend of dining and entertainment. The establishment's strength lies in its ability to provide full menu access within the karaoke rooms, allowing patrons to enjoy their meals while belting out their favorite tunes. The song selection is decent, although some tracks lack vocal accompaniment and may end abruptly, which could be a point of improvement. The service is commendable, with staff providing just the right amount of attention without intruding on the karaoke experience. Despite being full, the atmosphere remained comfortable, and the pricing, while slightly on the higher side, is reasonable for the unique experience offered. However, it's worth noting that some technical issues were encountered with the karaoke equipment, with songs occasionally stopping mid-play. This minor hiccup, coupled with the lack of vocal accompaniment in some songs, slightly detracts from the overall experience. Despite these issues, Soju remains a solid choice for those seeking a fun, music-filled night out.

I've been to Soju before and really enjoyed myself - but tried to book a work function there last Saturday and reserve a room and it was impossible! They don't open until 7pm, and I called multiple times through the week when they were open with no answer (even left a voicemail and a return contact number). Then tried on Instagram through DM - no answer. Then tried through Facebook Messenger - automatic response with no real response follow up. Then I got desperate and tried Instagram comments on their posts (newly posted maybe just hours before) and still no answer or indication that they were seeing my attempts to reach out! This was for a work event so of course I didn't want to return empty handed and began looking elsewhere. This all spanned over a week and a half that I tried to book said work function with them and ended up booking the event at Echo Karaoke Bar two days before because nobody answered me! I have really enjoyed time spent in Soju, so the experience itself is great when you're actually there, but this was one of the worst/hardest booking experiences I've ever had. And it's been days since - and no response still!

We came the night before and it was great…but came the next night with a reservation for a medium room expecting 5 people to come. When we made the reservation we asked for a medium room and they said it was available and we could use it but when we came they put us in a small room. We would’ve been okay with it but the small rooms don’t come with a sound bar speaker like the larger rooms so it doesn’t seem like it’s worth it. A lot of the songs we wanted the night before we couldn’t play on the tv so the sound bar helped a lot so we could play whatever. We talked to the front desk and they only apologized but didn’t really explain why they made that choice without telling us ahead of time of the change. The drive was already 30 mins so that kinda was upsetting. They could’ve maybe made compensation for the problem caused because we were ready to have a fun time again with you guys!

Me and my friends came for a fun night of karaoke. Let me just say, the service was not bad but not the greatest. They handed us the wrong room at first and overall did a really poor job on splitting the bill between all of us. We all had a simple idea in mind of paying evenly but they complicated it and ultimately overcharged us for both the food and cost of the room for 2 hours. The cashier did not properly understand me at first and charged my mother $124.96, way too high for the actual cost of the room. We managed to gain a refund after but its honestly dissappointing the way some adults will deliberately take advantage of the fact you're a minor and give us a rough time. It's appalling because me and my friends are really young and supposed to look up to adults like you guys. In conclusion our first time experience here was not very pleasing.
When we went, it was a mediocre time. The room walls are covered in running lines of old beverages. It wasn't just from "the people before us" because we had the room right when it opened on a Friday. The karaoke machine didn't have "newer" songs (like 5-10 years old). I looked for quite a few that just weren't an option. Our whole group had issues with the songs we wanted not being an option. So that was disappointing. Food is very oily. Everyone in our group didn't seem overly impressed by the 10-15 different plates we had ordered. Overall we had a decent time but I won't be paying $60 per hour to do this again. I'll try a different business.

You can have minors inside.
Went tonight with my 3 girlfriends , we booked a private room and ordered food. The music selection was awesome, and the machine was easy to figure out . Also, a guide was provided if needed. We tried a lot of things on the menu, and not one thing disappointed us tonight, not to mention extremely reasonably priced. It was an amazing time. We will be back. Thank you for a great night!!

My friend couldn't have pork, and they've really more than willing to make that subsistuiton.
Had lots of fun! Staff is helpful and drinks are great. Have a a list of more than one song to sing if you come here though on the chance your song isn't available. The selection of English songs doesn't make up the majority of songs on the machines but that being said the selection is pretty good (especially if you like rock, but country fans beware, the selection is thin for this genre). The food is also on the more expensive side so we ate beforehand and ordered finger food snacks which we shared to bring the cost down. Have gone twice now and will definitely be back in the future!
wanted to try out a new korean restaurant to eat out to and to be honest this was really good. it’s such a cute place with an amazing selection of food! loved the corn cheese, the korean fried chicken and the budaejiggae. i personally wasn’t a fan of the kimchi friend rice as I’ve definitely had better. also save yourself an extra 50 cents by just getting the soju cocktail cause $18 for the regular one is kinda crazy in my opinion. but nonetheless this was a really nice experience with decent service, amazing food and a really fun karaoke room to enjoy with friends or family.
I celebrated a friends' birthday with about 12 other people in one of the karaoke rooms. It was a blast, although it took more than a few minutes to figure out the system. The staff was able to help out and solve any issues while adding personality and fun. I would come back to sing with a big group again. Also, I would recommend the korean fried chicken and flavoured soju. The portion size was perfect for 1 person or 2 people to share.

Amazing place! Great fun! The food was great. The service was helpful and prompt. The room was a little rundown, but nice enough. It would have been nice to have some surety that everything was wiped down. While the karaoke was wonderful, the timing of the songs could be off, and often began without music, which could be confusing. But we will go back again. Great food, great fun!

Had the best time here with my coworkers! Taelin was so sweet and really helped us enjoy our experience! The manager, Minho went above and beyond to make sure our group was well accomodated. Will come here more often! Karaoke rooms were a great price and well soundproofed so we could enioy our time for ourselves.

Always a great time here! Machines are pretty updated with extensive song lists, although there could be some more classics. (Maybe we just need to ask them to add?) Regardless, I've never had a bad experience and we've come in small and big groups. Even when it's busy I've found that the staff is helpful and friendly. When we came in big groups they kept track of all separate bills which made paying at the end of the night very easy.
I don't think I can go back to any other karaoke places after this. A private room and delicious food made this an outstanding outing for us! Uses call buttons for service. Recommend the edamame and fried chicken.

My group was at this establishment last weekend and had an extremely disappointing night. We ordered food for everyone and it took an hour just to get our food. Looked very understaffed but they could have gave us a discount or something but we were left waiting for food with no explanation for an hour!

It was my first time at soju karaoke and bar. I went with my friends to go karaoke. Don’t forget to make a reservation if you want to do karaoke! Food was good, wish the serving was a little bit more. All in all, we had a good experience. The staff were friendly too!

Please update your music library with better songs. Especially in the R&B genre, like...where is Muni Long - Hrs and Hrs? Why are there only 2 Brandy songs? Find a better app where patrons can atleast cast a YouTube video and search their own tracks because the Bluetooth speaker doesn't suffice. Too much junk tracks that don't deserve take up space.
Excuse me...don't just walk in our room while we're SINGING and having a good time, to get us to leave. Atleast knock? Atleast kindly remind us our time is about to be up? Was the other group even present upon us being done? These young Gen Z'ers in the customer service industry don't know what they're doing. Dookie!
Great place to sing and have fun with a group of friends. The songs selection is pretty good, the VIP room is spacious with a large table, and there are 4 microphones!

Excellent atmosphere, great service, very kind and accommodating staff. We were a wild bunch and they handled us with patience and professionalism. Highly recommend if you want to take some friends to have a good Karaoke night! Food was pretty nice as well, had their takoyaki which was decent.

It was really fun! Learning to use the machine was a bit confusing because it's written in Korean but the guy at the front helped us out. A lot of recent and old songs. They only take minors until 10:30pm. I also recommended you make reservations and 1 hour is definitely not enough time
The Karaoke machines in the private rooms are really good quality and they're keeping up with more new songs. Food is on the pricier side but overall I would highly recommend, especially with big groups. I also suggest you call and book a room at least 2 wks ahead of time.
Came with a large group. I had to modify my reservation a few times (my apologies to the staff). Overall the service was very nice and the staff were kind- taught us how to use the device for choosing songs. The food was really good!

Great sounding karaoke room and large collection of songs. Food and drinks were a little expensive for what it was but were served to us late into the night (past 10) and paired with yogurt soju, food was pretty good! Good menu and kind of relaxing
This place is the best. Karaoke was great, good selection of music, and very friendly staff. The food is a great price for the amount you get. Couldn't recommend it enough. If you've never been to Korean style karaoke before ABSOLUTELY try it.
They need better selections of songs; I'm not sure how many people are singing Korean or Japanese songs... Maybe more western songs would bring more variety.

Had a great time except for a few inexcusable things. The room we booked was meant for 8 people, we had 8 in our party and we were squished in around a tiny table with no space. The staff were unfriendly and extremely rude. I ordered the
Service was unsatisfactory. No wines and a high uncorking fee. Food was decent. Drinks are expensive. They kick you out with a max 3 hours even when making reservations weeks before (also mentioning an extra hour would be appreciated at
Great drinks and music options, but chairs could definitely be updated and there's basically no gluten free options to eat, but some places are like that, just wish I could eat something there besides beans

Great experience! The food was delicious. I had the fried squid & lunch box… although a bit overpriced, the karaoke was really fun and good selection of songs. Other than that the server was a bit rude with the payments
Had a great night and the peach drinks are great, but there was an issue with our billing and it took a long time to resolve. The karaoke is done in small rooms with your friends so it's much more intimate and relaxed!

Great food, great selection of karaoke songs, amazing staff! They were dealing with a very disrespectful and entitled group while still maintaining composure and attentiveness to our group and the other guests.
If I could give them 0 star I would right away! Rude staff and extremely worst customer services AS ALWAYS. For the 2nd time I visit here, me and my friend arrived early and the front desk girl told us to sit

Nice ambience environment. Didn't have a very extensive selection for songs though, and system wasn't the most user friendly. Would've been nice/better if there was the actual music videos too.
Fun but expensive. The food is pretty expensive and there are small portions. The karaoke music selection is decent but still missing a lot of songs. However the karaoke rooms are well-made.
Soju is always a great place for our large group karaoke nights! Service is wonderful, their location is wheelchair accessible, and the karaoke rooms are awesome and a reasonable price!
Absolutely terrible service. Waitress spilled drinks all over the table and peoples belongings. We had to repeatedly ask her for a replacement and she was very hesitant to do so.

I've been to Soju before it was called Soju. It used to be the Hangover, and since then it has been renovated and changed ownership a few times.
Thet have really good foods to drink! Also, couse they have a karaoke in it, I don't have to worry about moving after drinks..
We had so mych fun here. Staff was fantastic and the Keroke was hilarious. Will definitely be back!
We tried the cheese and rosu katsu, they’re pretty good but serving is too little for a $17 bento.
