I was spending a weekend in the area and decided to get my nails done here. Sylvie was the lovely lady who helped me out and did an awesome job. She pressured me to do glitter, which I don't like at all, which is part of the reason I'm taking away the fifth star. She applied glitter to one nail (before wiping it right off bc I got gel) to show me and it just reinforced the fact that I really hate glitter. Additionally, the file she used was really rough and my fingers started bleeding from the use—which had NEVER happened in other nail salons I’ve used in the past (such as Camelot Spa). No, it’s not just because I have soft skin. It’s because those files should be changed out for files that DON’T leave blisters on my skin. The salon should be more professional and careful about the supplies they give their employees. Regardless, Sylvie was quite nice and showed me my nails whenever she had finished a couple to make sure she was still on track with what I wanted. She was flexible with me and didn't mind me changing my mind part way through. Easily recommend this place!

What a horrify experience we had at Sorbet, Table Bay Mall. Bought a gift voucher for my daughter's birthday in the amount of R500.00. When we got to her timeline appointment the women told us to wait. After her treatment she gave the very rude Manager the gift card when she reply we must wait again. Then in front of about 10 customers we were told there is nothing on the gift card and had already been used. I gave her my receipt and again she asked when the payment was made and this appears on the receipt. She told me to pay for the treatment in the amount of R490.00 and I refused because we had a gift card. My daughter was so embarrassed, thought that I have not do the payment. Never, never in my whole life was I so embarrassed by a incompetent Manager and other staff members and this in a loud tone of voice in front of all in the shop. She is very unprofessional and needs to be fired!!! Due to this I will go on every social media all over to tell everyone that wants to listen not ever to use your shop in the Table Bay Mall. It surely left a distaste!!

On previous occasions they've run late and answered the phone while mid conversation with me but the last time was the most unprofessional service I've come across. The lady that did my nails got up in the middle of my treatment to sell a facial product to a walk in client, without saying a word to me. There were staff at reception that could've seen to the walk in client as I had an appointment! While sitting there I had to listen to them badmouthing their clients. One, who apparently lied about her nails lifting and another because they messed up her appointment and blamed her. Absolutely shocked, this is not the level of service paying clients should get. I will definitely never go back!

I had a manicure yesterday. The nail tech wasn’t so interested and to be honest probably had a long day and didn’t feel like doing another client. The application of the bio gel was so poor. She kept asking me if I was happy. I said no. My cuticles were flooded and the application was bumpy. On my way home, one nail had already peeled off completely. I went back, another lovely lady helped me as the nail tech I saw was no where to be seen, and when she returned, did not seem phased that someone else was fixing her work. It’s been 1 day and 3 other nails have peeled off. As someone who always has nails done and can do them myself. I am VERY disappointed.

My friend and I booked ahead of time to be greeted rudely and sat down without anyone asking what we wanted. When stating what I wanted I felt uncomfortable as they made me feel it was my fault (even though I said what I wanted when I got sat down). My tech had to be replaced with someone who could actually do tips. My friend had an awful experience and was never apologized to. Her nails chipped after just 2 days. Not even 2 weeks later and my nails are now falling off. I was told they would last one month. People come here to treat and pamper themselves but it was awkward and unprofessional. Experience and result definitely not worth the price.

This store's customer service is second to none. I recently had a treatment done and was not happy with the outcome, I emailed the owner/store and she got back to me immediately and did an investigation into reasons why the treatment did not work for me. She got back to me within a few days with expert advice and offered a scalp treatment (free of charge) to balance out the previous treatment. She was very accommodating and listened to my concerns. I have frequented this store for over 2 years and will definitely remain a loyal customer.

worst experience i’ve had. She told me she doesn’t do simple nail art.. what nail tech can’t do nail art? Then someone else came and did the art for her and she rushed it so much that it was completely off centre and messy!! I asked her to fix it and she acted like she didn’t notice it. Then she did the other nail and it was so skew and crooked. Her work was sloppy messy. Every single one of my nails are a different shape, the one is almond, the other is square, the other is one she made up. definitely WONT go back!! horrid.

Overall, awful experience. Won't go back. Hair washed with very hot water, not asked about temperature whatsoever (a hairdresser should in any case know to modulate temperature). Hairdryer on such a high heating setting that my hair burned my ear. Didn't ask if I wanted a straightening iron used, yet was charged extra for it (which they waived when I raised an issue). Very unprofessional experience with an untrained hairdresser. Please provide your staff better training, it reflects terribly on you as a brand.

Booked an appointment with Sorbet nailbar and ran abit late. I called before the time to advise of the unforseen traffic and they assured me its fine. Got there only for them to refuse treatment and state that they called me prior to. I commuted from Kuils River to Table bay just to be disappointed. And each lady was extremely unprofessional with their approach. Definitely won’t be making use of their services and this was going to be my first time with sorbet. It surely left a distaste.

Very pleased with the quality of service at this branch. I've been for my nails twice and both times the soft gel tips lasted for over 2-3 weeks. The keratin treatment is of good quality, staff are friendly and I love how you can get your hair and nails done at the same time. There is also a great range of products available. I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for their system chang-over being troublesome the last time. However, I'll go out of my way to go to this branch any day.

Unprofessional receptionist does not "GIVE THAT FEELING".Whilst having my nails done at TABLEBAY MALL she is constantly on her phone and responses to customers coming in is awful as she has a very entitled attitude. Her phone skills took it to the next level with highly unprofessional eye rolling in front of customers whilst I was paying for my treatment. Only helps once done on her cellphone NOTE: you should wait. You are losing business.

Gelish is peeling after one week, i am a regular at Sorbet having moved to Cape Town from Johannesburg and thought let me just continue with going to Sorbet, but the service i got was a disappointment from the receptionist and now your gel is peeling after just one week. The reason why we come to Sorbet is for quality products so if your gel is chipping and peeling after a week what sets you apart then.

I had acrylic with tips done. Don’t ask for any other shape than square unless you wish to end up with 10 nails of various shapes. The gel application was good and there was a lot of colours but the acrylic is very average, no stress ball, not uniform and thin and thick in weird places. The overall experience was poor and overpriced for what at the end of the day is a below average set of nails

I went to thread my eyebrows during loadshedding.The guy at the front was keen to help but the lady threading was reluctant and unfriendly and it seemed like she was upset that she was having to work . The poor attitude filtered to the way she did my eyebrows which was done badly. I had to tell her that she must pluck the hair in between the eyebrows as it’s always done .would not recommend

What a pleasure to be treated by Evodie & Emily. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our gelish and power pedi's today. Both Evodie & Emily were excellent and we had very friendly conversations. They turned our gloomy winters day into a bright and happy day. We were also treated to a glass of sparkling wine for Mom & a hot chocolate for my tween. Well done Sorbet Tablebay Mall.

i have been going to sorbet for over 15 years. this has to be the most unprofessional branch i have had a treatment at. when i approached the owner her comment was ‘sorry for that’ and she walked away. i can understand why the service was terrible the leadership is non existent. it’s a pity because the chain is excellent. highly dissatisfied with the attitude and service.

Really bad service & bad quality work. The nail technician hurt my cuticles so badly. It is swollen and my nails was done yesterday and it looks horendous. The entire experience has been bad.They placed me next to the zink and it had a bad odour and made the experience even worse . If i could give it no stars at all i would. Would not recommend this place at all.

I actually received really bad service from them. I've phoned twice to book a massage. Twice I was told that 'the ladies' would get back to me which they didn't as they need to confirm their availability - to date they still haven't come back to me after I left my name and number with reception - this over a span of a month. Can't say I'll try use Sorbet again.

Each time I do nails with them they chip in no time. This time around I dicided to go back and actually show them that one nail chipped within 2 days. I was in the mall. I was told to make an appointment for another day ... who has time for that! Not sure why I kept going back to such incompetance when there's The Drybar just around the corner from them

Came for am 80s style hair do for a party. Lady was barely interested in styling opting just to flat iron my hair, which I do daily at home. When I asked about braiding she said she's not interested or could braid hair. I paid R225 for a style I do daily. The lady styling was not interested at all. Very disappointed. Not sure I will be back at all.

Had my nails done, by the next day the nail polish was coming off, went back that evening they said it was old stock, I did not have the time to have it re-done, I chose to return another time. 2 years ago a similar situation, they claimed the nail polish was old stock. Why is sorbet using old stock, not everyone has the time to frequent nail bars.

My therapist was just lovely. She picked up that I'm not too talkative and she respected that. What put me off was that it was very busy, and the route I had to take to get to my seat was quite the balancing act, trying not to step on someone's bag ir water bucket for pedicures... I felt cramped in... I will definitely go back on a quiet day...

Had the worst experience here. I booked for a mommy daughter mani and pedi and they treated my daughter so badly that she was in tears. The management blamed me for there mistake rolling her eyes at me when I expressed my unhappiness with how they treated us. Cant believe that management of a place behave like that. Absolutely shocking

The therapists and the staff at the store are extremely friendly and efficient, the store manager however is extremely rude and dismissive. She will call you out about the state of your nails and she's not even apologetic about her being at fault. The franchise owner doesn't care as well. Rather make use of a different beauty store.

Popped in last weekend to thread my eyebrows. I had no appointment but took a chance. I was blessed with Tsidi as my therapist, who was so friendly and did a fantastic job with cleaning up my brows and then massaged my brows after with soothing lotion I presume. Fantastic! They are missing the point. A beauty salon is where you go to relax and feel good, then leave feeling fabulous.. Unprofessional staff, average treatment s, I have had my brows done here twice. At 190 for a wax and tint, I expected so much more. If you're not passionate about this industry, you may want to consider another path.

I was a little disappointed at how quickly my make up smudged and that my hair style didn't hold for very long. My manicure also only last 1 day, one of my nails popped right off the following day. The staff were nice and friendly and the service in store was good. The quality of products though is just a little concerning.

Set up an appointment on sunday at 12 during my lunch hour for gel toes. Didn't foresee any problems however my treatment started almost 20 min late. Nobody asked me while I was waiting to choose my color so when i did I felt rushed. This was a very stressfull experience because i felt it had to be rushed

(The one opposite Clicks) Went for a gel overlay. Most painful nail treatment. It was rushed. Missed some spots on my nails. Staff was dismissive about my concerns. My nail beds are sore and swollen. Hoping I don’t get an infection. Truly disappointed. Wish I left as soon as the lady did the first nail :(

My mother and I have a date with this Sorbet once a month for a power pedi and gelish. Love the staff, very friendly and always have nice advice on self care (especially today, thanks Anna). They also go the extra mile to offer you cappuccino or even champers on the house, what a treat.

Booked to get my hair done for a function. Arrived there and apparently their stylist didn’t pitch for work and there was nothing they could do. Was handled totally incorrectly and the lady didn’t even seem to care. Just said “sorry we can’t help you” . Really ruined my day.

The ladies are lovely and sweet but the manicure was painful and my skin was very inflamed and painful after. The massage therapist spoke way too much and I now know her full family history and received a mediocre hot stone massage.

Its clean, the staff is friendly, I'm always happy with my treatment. It can get a little bit cramped but it's not an issue for me. You can make your appointment in person, a call or via their whatsapp line which I prefer.
