"Glad that I visited this place"
"Honestly very boring-When I got home I googled all of the people we were told about in the stories and was super disappointed to read that most were very very exaggerated and changed to sound more "spooky" or interesting"
"Great place to visit during the novena for All Souls"
"While much of the cemetery is undeniably dilapidated, it is still a lovely place to walk, and a handy shortcut to the Eleanor Schonell (Green) Bridge"
"Hauntingly beautiful"
Glad that I visited this place. Had a busy day and this is a beautiful place to relax. Very quiet (guess not many people will party in a cemetery) and peaceful. Jacaranda trees are flowering during this season and add their peculiar smell into the air. Probably will not visit again unless I move back to Brisbane.
Honestly very boring-When I got home I googled all of the people we were told about in the stories and was super disappointed to read that most were very very exaggerated and changed to sound more "spooky" or interesting. Would not recommend and did not meet any of the expectations I had.
Great place to visit during the novena for All Souls. Beware of the mud on the edge bordering the river. Friends and I were once bogged down in it when we went to pray after evening Mass. Some shoes were destroyed.
While much of the cemetery is undeniably dilapidated, it is still a lovely place to walk, and a handy shortcut to the Eleanor Schonell (Green) Bridge. In its own way it is also strangely beautiful.
Hauntingly beautiful. All these people would of meant so much to others now there graves are slowly deteriorating and there memory becomes less every day, a reminder of our future.
It's about as good as a cemetery can be, I guess? There's nice trees, lots of old graves, just watch where you're walking because some areas the path can be a bit degraded.
Like many cemeteries it has a sad history, in this case the resting place (in an unmarked grave) of the last woman executed in Queensland.
Beautiful peaceful cemetery, though what does one expect? I'm currently photographing headstones for Billion graves, volunteer work.
More history and in a lovely place too I always enjoy going for stroll through cemeteries for the history
We went on the ghost tour... Very interesting learing about the history Brisbane in a fun way... ^.^
Bardzo interesujace i klimatyczne miejsce choç wyglada na mocno zapomniane. Mimo to warto odwiedzić.
Came across this place while walking around in early 2014. It actually looks good for a cemetery!
very beautiful, many old graves, very interesting to look through.
