We attend a private party in the upstairs function room. Staff are really nice and friendly the main reason for 3 stars. The room was a really good size with a lift and stair lift chair for those who were unable to use the stairs. 2 negatives The ladies' toilet needs attention. The right sink is blocked and very outdated and run down. The beer hygiene, we ordered 2 pints of budlight and its tasted rancid to the point it had a sour chemical smell. 1 or 2 reasons that could be. The beer had been left in the lines for way too long between private functions and wastage as not been pulled through, and it soured in the line. Or they've not flushed their lines correctly.

Great place for swimming, if you are a slow swimmer stick to lane 0, 1 and 2. Unfortunately there are a few snobby swimmers who get irritated now and then but most of the time it's been fine. These are 25 metre lanes and 2 metres deep and are predominantly for lane swimmers doing laps. You cannot go there to chill and stand or have a chin wag in the middle of the pool as there will be others you have to be considerate of. Remember there are lanes, divided by physical barriers and it's not an open pool. Hope that helps someone to make their mind up.

I go once a week to the aquatics center. I would give it 5 stars as I've never really had any problems. Only 2 minor issues; a) there are occasionally no parking spaces unless you're disabled. I'm not against disabled people using the facilities but the number of parking spaces for them is disproportionate. b) the air temperature in the changing rooms is too cold. After a swim one would expect to be able to get changed in the warmth, but alas, no!

Most of the time it's restricted swimming,where most of the lanes are for people training,only two lanes for public swimming,and it gets very busy,not the place if you just want to go for a leisurely swim,or are a bit slow,you feel as though you have to rush,reception staff friendly and welcoming,changing area's clean and warm,showers good,

The stadium simply comprises one main stand overlooking the pitch and running track. Hardly a full stadium. As mentioned they have a running track around the pitch which only succeeds in taking the action further away. They also have no fences or gates to prevent pitch invasions and so security and health and safety are extremely poor.

What a fantastic place to run l did the BAH HUMBUG 10k run once a round the track then into the woods , woods where very muddy but enjoyed my day out very well Organized & friendly would Definitely recommend it ( more so it you like running on the woods) yes brilliant Atmosphere thank you all !

I visited the stadium for a private event, the stadium is good for all sports beacouse of its large pitch and numerous seats. The one issue was that the stands where covered in litter and looked visibly tired, there where many broken seats and rusted metal bars everywhere.

Great sports and fitness facilities, ample parking. You can also book for spefic events, I was attending Mawlid event, celebration of the birth of our prophet Muhammad pbuh. Excellent facilities all round.

Always good. Sometimes a swimmer can be confrontational as this a.m . However one has to take it in ones stride. The pool is fab and so are most other swimmers too. Staff friendly and helpful too.

Absolutely disgusting no maintenance on pitches, courts that aren't even open and telling people they are fully booked, nets are all broke l, the council ought to be ashamed of the facilities!

A great sporting facility if a little out of the way. Lots of parking. The aquatics facilities are of national standard but the gym leaves a lot to me desired and desperately needs updating .

Outdoor pitches are a little amdark and dingey, holes in Hugh nets mean regular balls to throw back over. But on the whole, no too bad. Happy to train and have a mess about here.

Food served by Leeds city council was disgusting as it was frozen roast pots frozen peas , carrots and cauliflower and broccoli.no draught beer or lager I grandstand suite.

It's OK, but I don't like grounds with a running track around the pitch, really. It makes you feel to detached from the game. Other than that it's a nice ground.

The laziest staff in the world, generally terrible state of repair on the 5 a side pitches with broken nets and boards etc. The one positive is that it's cheap.

Every sport known to man here. Well almost anyway. You can even watch the steam trains go past when they're running just alongside from Middleton Light Railway

Went to watch my grandsons school.sports day at john Charles stadium, coffee was lovely from machine, sat in the stands and was able to see everything.

Great facility be nice to see local area supporting their local rugby league team. Anywhere south of the river should look at the hawks not the rhino

A popular place for football, rugby, Athletics as well as indoor activities. There is indoor bowling as well as the Aquatics Centre on site.

The gym is a disgracefull I paid full price to go in and find half the equipment was unusable as it was out of order should be shut down

We go twice a week for kids swimming lessons and they are nice and friendly. Kids love there instructors and have fun whilst learning .

What a place that has got lots of sports venues I play indoor bowles there and it's spot on staff very helpful and it's nice and warm.

I’m very fond of it but we had 2 footballs nicked the other day by other patrons and also the nets are in a state and need fixing.

Regular booking for 5 a side always need to ask for lights to be switched on or court locked whatever. How hard can it be,?

All sporting activities are catered for here, they also do events like big weddings etc. this is an amazing complex.

Alright as Stadiums go. Big swimming pool, Diving Boards, Rugby pitch, indoor Bowls and Indoor Tennis.
