I believe the leader of the church might have a heart to deliver a nice speech, and sometimes insightful observation shared, but it’s not the whole picture of a church. If privately providing feedback a few times on false practices still has no righteous responses, I would consider some honest public feedback would be helpful for everyone. Many times I found sermon slides have no source quotes. Eventually I found out many words replaced to certain opinions at some level unbiblical. I do notice the leader might be quoting from NLV Bible, while I have never heard which version of Bible he quoted from. Opinion based teaching would generally become less accurate, and less righteous. (Deu 4:2) The righteous church means a knitting heart discipleship that involves evangelism. There’s no regular meet up sharing gospels to the public like what Bible teaches, and certainly no practices and training to prove a point. The church might have online Bible study but not enough in terms of knitting hearts and truly understands its people. I have met people who are genuine, but also met many who easily deceive, sin, show obvious favoritism, and being dishonest on Sunday. If they would represent Christ, there is certainly a big trouble. Hanging with these people should weaken our faith. Instead of going with worldly love, more genuine conversation and rebuke needs to happen here. If not many are willing to repent, that means there's a problem with leaderships. Worshiping the truth means to study and practice what the Bible taught us. Many “worship songs” in the congregation the lyrics has become unbiblical, unfit for purpose. Just like other fallen churches. The leader should certainly practice more righteous power otherwise the spirit is frankly chaotic. It might not be as chaotic as hill song but it’s certainly paving the way to it. It’s unacceptable that one of its leader, R- invited for a Bible study, but did not inform when Bible study was not happening while I arrived at the door. She even tried to raise her loud voice a few times attempting to disrupt a rebuke without any sense of righteousness. It certainly made me doubt if she is truly saved. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? Food was amazing. But Jesus did teaches spiritual food instead! (Matt 4:1-11) Also we are warned to identify purposes of craftiness. For example, from either music, or food (Eph 4:14) BTW, that “giving” slides, like majority of Pentecostal “churches” would rush to do, is by no means helpful to copy. I visited some churches never mention about giving at all, but they actually receive more because they are genuine. Scriptures said ONLY those who have been united as member of the church by personal faith in Jesus Christ should give to the people of God and the work of God. In the Bible, every command or exhortation to give is addressed to believers. Taking funds from unbelievers is prohibited. Therefore, the righteous church would correctly investigate who are the member of the church before collecting, but not showing such information on projection screens. (3 John 7; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18) Church camp program: chasing the worldly love and desires of eyes. Talent show entertainment: promote idolatry. Probably not worse than a worldly social club with no kingdom purposes. I also disagree the leader constantly judge JW without explanation and a proof, as my investigation eventually revealed me different facts. And watch out. You will not be allowed to attend if you disagree with Trinity, the man-made doctrine made by the Emperor Constantine, and the Roman Catholic Church. There are documentary with solid evidence on how this evil doctrine draws people away from God, widely available on Youtube. Therefore, investigate carefully. Let’s pray for their repentance and YHWH’s righteous judgement.
I have been a regular at City Church since May 2017. I found the church was very welcoming and since then have made many friends I can fellowship with! I was seeking for a place to call my home church for a long time and am grateful to have found City Church. Costa and Mia are truly amazing leaders. If you are finding a place to call home in the city, this is the place to be. Thank you Jesus! (:
CityChurch is a great place to connect with other fellow Christians and feel at home. Being a relatively new church plant, it's very small in size so everyone knows well, everyone! Coming from a conservative reformed background, I can trust CityChurch will teach solely and squarely from the Bible
Love all the friendly people here! It is such a relief to find a place where you can focus your life in Jesus and how easy it is to let go of the negativity that we don't need. Praise God for His promises!
