I can honestly say that I will never shop here again or recommend it to anyone. Andy (the owner) told me that delivery to my apartment on the second floor in Bayswater would cost $85. When I bought the couch, I was told that it was currently on back order and would arrive in a week. Three weeks later, I still hadn't received my couch and had received no communication from anyone at the store. I then had a call from the delivery driver the day before to let me know they were delivering it the following day. When the delivery guys arrived at 7:30pm, they informed me that they do not deliver to the top floor. I'm in shock at this point because I paid for delivery to my apartment, which is clearly stated on my invoice. I then ask how much it will cost, and they quote me $90 more to take it up two flights of stairs. So they wanted $175 for delivery in total. I was not going to pay that, so they left me there to carry three heavy boxes up the stairs to my apartment. Not to mention that they didn't even deliver the last box as the couch I purchased comes in four pieces. The boxes were also delivered wet and damaged, and the couch quality is cheap. Please save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. UPDATE: Since posting the review, I received contact from Andy. It only took 15 minutes of the review being up for him to call me. He 'sincerely' apologised for the mistake on his behalf and offered me compensation of $50, in exchange for the review to be taken down. Keep in mind, there was no compensation offered until the review was posted, even after I went in to speak with him. Spare change is all about the money and no care for customers.

Spare change lilydale is really amazing place for shopping. I have bought 3 seater electrical recliners and LG washing machine. Their driver delivered to me the next day. I did not know it was in the box. So I asked the shop for assembling. I am 65 years old lady and it is very hard for me to put them together. The shop manager arranged for me immediately without any delay. The driver is so nice guy. He moved my old couch outside my house and put the new couch in my house. He connected the power for the electrical recliners and test for me. He also put the washing machine in my place. He is so professional guy for doing everything. I was so happy with their customer service. The shop manager gave me very good price for the couch and washing machine. Highly recommend for these guys. It is worth for you to go there and have a look.

We recently purchased a lounge suit from Spare Change on a Tuesday and paid for the item but as they didn’t have the colour we desired in stock it had to come from their warehouse. They said they could deliver it to us in Lilydale on the Friday. What should have been a easy task to complete took another 10 days after the promised delivery date. What we got was a series of lies and days of non returned phone calls. I spoke to Spare change on 7 occasions and was promised many times they would call back within minutes but they never did, not even once. If I could give them zero stars I would. False promises isn’t a good way to run a business

If you need some furniture, you have to go this shop. I was really surprised with both their large selection of furniture, white goods and housewares but also the prices. Their service was outstanding for us. Gave us genuine suggestions for selecting our furniture. To be honest, we have not found any better prices for similar products online or somewhere. I have bought modular couch, westinghouse fridge, LG dishwasher and TCL tv. The best deal I have got from them. I have got the same delivery. I was so happy with the purchase and customer service. Definitely recommended them.

First time shopper and basically it was a good experience. The 2 seat electric leather recliner was delivered same day and is of a good quality and works well. Delivery is a bit of an issue if you aren't prepared to deal with assembly. Parts are heavy and awkward especially if you are alone. Fortunately the delivery man did assist but did complain it wasn't his job. I think I embarrassed him into it. The point being for the $70 they don't under normal circumstances it is not assembled and left in a working state.

If you need furniture, you have to come this shop. Friend of mine has recommended spare change lilydale. I have bought the modular lounge, bedroom suite, dining set, westinghouse double door fridge, tv from this shop. The best deal I got from the manager. He is very friendly and helpful. I received my delivery next day. Super fast delivery and best customer service I have ever got. I will recommend my friends for sure.

This place is really good for deals. I was really impressed with large selection of varieities, white goods and furniture. Could not find better price around or online. Their service was outstanding. You can buy quality mattress and some furniture at a competitive prices. This place offers delivery at reasonable cost. If you love to bargain, this is an ideal place for you. Gardening pipes are expensive then Bunnings and other retailers who sell irrigation products. It is better to avoid this range. Or you can compare before buying.

If you need furniture , I recommend this store. Exceptional customer service and very well priced for their furniture and white goods. The manger is very helpful and knowledgeable. I have got one big u shape couch. $500 cheaper than the other shops with the same one. Same day delivery. Highly recommend.

The shop has impressed me a lot. They have almost everything you need for home, a big shop. My friend and I both bought two lounges there and two door fridge. Their price is so cheap and we have the same day delivery. Very good customer service and friendly staff there. We will go back for sure.

The Euro mattress purchased is a great mattress and reasonably priced. Also got very good service from Andy at the store and after purchase. The delivery driver was also very helpful with bringing the mattress into the house. Happy to recommend Spare Change to others.

This place has been excellent. The level of service was second to none. Treated very respectfully and made me feel important. I had some issues with delivery and they solve that problem without complaint. Definitely highly recommend these guys pleasant experience.

Lots of nic naks, furnature and seconds white goods. A good place for people starting out to establishing themselves when leaving home or replacing goods. A giant $2 shop but watch the prices. Markets can be cheaper for the bits a pieces.

Good furniture and appliances including white goods. Westinghouse and Hisense are available here plus TLC smart TV'S for fair prices. We buy our goods mainly from here because they are reasonably priced in comparison to other stores.

Large warehouse$2 shop. Large selection from lollies and sweets to white goods fridges and washing machines. Usually buy fish washing detergent and toothbrushes from there.. Parking is available outside the door worth a visit

Been looking for a lounge for a while, seen this place heavily advertised on Facebook marketplace. So thought I would visit. Well nice arvo out, but this place was a complete waste of time.
