Very disappointed Where to start. Took my vehicle in to get a wheel hub replacement and exhaust leak. When I went to pick my vehicle up and started my vehicle I had three lights on the dash and there are still was an exhaust leak. The mechanic said that the lights must’ve been on when the vehicle when it came in but there wasn’t any dash lights on so they hooked up the scan tool try to reset it and it didn’t work and he said I would need new modules and I said did you touch any wires and he said no they didn’t so when I got home I was thinking in order to take the wheel hub off do you need to disconnect the wheel sensor so I went and looked and guess what it was disconnected also they disconnected the other side which I don’t understand because they didn’t have to replace anything. The mechanics also said that after they fix the car they didn’t do it a test ride to make sure everything was working how do you not do a test drive on a vehicle after you have fixed it also how do you do not hear there’s still an exhaust leak when you start the vehicle up because it’s really loud I will never go back to this company ever again

Went to get my wheel studs replaced due to the lug nuts having been over-torqued in the past. They did the job very well and clearly explained what the issues were. However, I had specifically asked them to use some parts that I already had in the car. I had 5 brand-new Dorman wheel studs that were the unused and the correct size. I needed a total of 12 replaced. They charged me for 12 new studs instead of 7. When I asked them to repurchase the unused studs, they refused and gave some very vague reasons, which I knew to be untrue. Specifically, they said that they bought the studs in "packs of 6", and that they would be unable to take my unused studs into inventory. Wheel studs come in multiples of 1, 5, or 10, and they are a frequently used item in garages. I absolutely would have gone back to them for future services, but the speed at which they resorted to dishonestly for just 5 studs left me feeling uneasy.

I wasn't sure what to expect being my first visit but I started feeling confident with my choice right away. I arrived on time and parked the car in the back, was welcomed into the shop very nicely and filled out a breif online form clarifying the service I'd requested. They were very polite and patient and informed me when the service would be completed. I received a call shortly after while I was home, to explain their findings and confirm that everything went well with no suprises. I arrived at the agreed upon time for pick up and found my old tires neatly stored, protective paper near the petals and a nice airflow freshener. At checkout they explained everything in great detail and helped me understand some things that dealerships never take the time to communicate. I paid a reasonable price and left feeling very satisfied. I will be back.

I'm from out of the area and had my check engine light go on. That was very worrisome as I had a 9 hour drive home ahead of me. I drove up without an appointment. Spark took me right away and ran a diagnostic that indicated a sensor that was in the process of failing (you could watch the sensor cutting in and out on a real time graph). A little bit of Internet research told me that it would have gone poorly for my catalytic converter (and gas efficiency) should I have tried to drive home with the car like that. They did a very thorough job of explaining both the problem, the repair, the consequences of certain things going wrong during the repair (they didn't), and the price. I was good to go 3 hours later. I wish these guys lived near me.

Terrible detailing job . Paid them 90$ to clean my car's interior , after that I had to clean the car myself to get it done right . I regret going there. There was dog's hair from the previous owner everywhere especially in the trunk. They didnt even open it. The glove box was still full of hair . There was still dirt and dust in the corners and the edges of all surfaces.From observation with a naked eye I can say all they did was vacuuming the floor and the matts, wiping the dust on the dashboard and spraying the car with some useless spray. The dogg smell was still there. If you want a real detailing better do it yourself , you would save your money and would have a better result.

We had a brief stop over in Ottawa with some car trouble. A quick google search revealed this was the closest mechanic nearby, so I gave them a call and they told me to bring our car in right away. When I arrived I was greeted with friendly staff. They took my car in immediately, and quickly were able to give me a run down of the work needed to be done and what could wait until returning home. They worked quickly to get the job done so we could continue our journey, and did an excellent job. If we were staying longer I would have got all the work done we needed there. They were honest, well priced, thorough and very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended.

I have recently moved out of Ottawa, but want to state how much I miss this place! From 2019-2022 they serviced my older Ford Focus a number of times, sometimes needing really hunt down parts because it was a station wagon model which only was produced for five years. EVERY SINGLE experience with my car in this shop was excellent - work was always completed within 24 hours, or reasonable time for the job, the work always fixed the problem (never to re-emerge a week later) and the price was FAIR! I cannot give this family run business a higher rating, but I would if I could. They can be trusted to actually care for you and your car!

I had a tow truck take my car to Spark because the temperature gage started climbing quickly. I was told the problem was a cooling fan and would cost $550 for the part. After the work was completed I went to pay and an extra $100 was tacked on to the $550. The price was now $650. Luckily I looked carefully at the bill and brought it to his attention. The total price was $925. I drove it for a couple of days and the gage went right back up... the problem was not fixed. I took it to another mechanic and he diagnosed the problem, it was a $70 sensor. He just shook his head when I told him how much I was charged to have my car "fixed".

I've been taking all my vehicles to Spark Auto for a number of years now, both for routine maintenance as well as some more major repairs. Ali and his team are extremely knowledgeable and always do a perfect job. Their customer service is bar none, they will not let you go until you're fully satisfied with the work they did. Not only that, but their pricing is extremely fair. The owner Ali is one of the most genuine people I personally know. He values your friendship more than he values your wallet. You seriously can't go wrong by visiting these guys the next time you require any work to be done on your car. Highly recommended.

I first came here when I needed my winter tires changed. The place I normally went to wasn't very accommodating since they told me there was a wait list and I would have had to leave my car there for the full day. When I came to spark auto they worked with me to find a time that worked with my schedule. I dropped my car off and was able to pick it up a couple of hours later. I have since needed their assistance on multiple occasions with my car, and the owner and staff have always been so kind, professional, and honest with me, and they always go above and beyond to help you. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

I dropped in today to see if they could assist me with placing the cover back on for my side mirror that someone had knocked off. I struggled for a while attempting to place it back on, it took Ovi not even 2 minutes to get it on correctly. Both Ashley and Ovi were so kind and helpful. Although I didn't use them for any of their typical services, their willingness to help me was so greatly appreciated. I would assume they would be just as amazing for any of your car servicing needs. I highly recommend Spark Auto. They are in a very convenient downtown location too.

I have been taking my vehicles to Ali, Oui and Vidal for years. They have done everything from breaks to changing the subframe on my 06 mazda. Always very friendly and professional. I have learned to trust them over the years and I never take my vehicles anywhere else. Ali has also been very accommodating offering me a loaner when needed and keeping the cars over the weekend when I could not make it back. He has good suppliers and works hard to find cheap, used parts when needed to keep costs down. I cannot recommend them high enough.

Amazingly friendly and helpful! I was travelling through Ottawa and had overheating issues. They spent the time to fix the airlock, and the cause so it didn't happen again. They also gave me great advice for what to have checked/repaired when I wasn't on the road and had time to get it up on the hoist. The most amazing part is they didn't charge me an arm and a leg for emergency service (in fact they grossly undercharged me). Best mechanics I've ever had work on my camper van. I can't give a better recommendation!

Bought a used car , it turned out to have so many problems since it's my first car. Got it checked for a for safety test at two different places. Sparks auto mechanic showed me what's wrong with the car and explained to me in detail. The other place gave me a small much cheaper list within less than 10 minutes , didn't explain anything , they didnt even realize that the break lights weren't working. That's how i knew you get what you pay for so i just came back here to get it fixed properly.

Took our car here for an oil change. They quoted us a fee but when we went to pick up the car there was $100 added on top of the quoted amount. They said some part cracked while changing oil so they had to put in a new one. When we said nobody called us to ask for approval even the guy at the front desk was surprised. He also promised to call us back same day to see what can be done and never called. Needless to say never taking the car back here again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Bought a car here, should have done my due diligence. Ali sold me the car safetied and e-test, two days later check engine light appears on dash, as it turns out the catalytic converter was a bust. My mechanic assured me that the car CPU had been reset to conceal the dysfunctional part. I then communicated my concern to the owner, he scoffed and would not make attempts to correct this. I am greatly disappointed with Sparks Auto, it's a buyer be ware type of dealership.

Had an important repair (fuel tank supports) to my Tundra and found Spark Auto nearby. Owner gave me a fair quotation with warning that it could go higher if anything unexpected was encountered with removing certain corroded bolts. Repair was done promptly, I checked that quality parts were used and the price was exactly as quoted with no surprises. 100% recommend this place. Owner is nice, professional and trustworthy. I will go back without hesitation.

I've been to Spark a few times now for various minor issues. Every time, I've gone expecting to make an appointment to come back, and to have to spend $$$ - because that's what happens everywhere else, and because they're obviously busy... and they always surprise me with immediate, courteous service at a very reasonable price. I spent less for an oil change and seasonal tire exchange than I'd usually pay for the oil change on its own at the dealer.

This is the best garage I have ever taken my car to. I had my vehicle towed over early this morning, and by noon it was repaired and good to go. I asked the towing service for a recommendation for an honest mechanic, and they suggested Spark Auto immediately, as they have recommended this garage before and have only had positive feedback. I left with a bill much lower than expected. There were no fabricated repairs or upselling. Highly recommend!

Over the years I have been to many shops, from Honda, to Acura, to BMW, and Toyota dealers + a few private shops and I know my cars and parts inside and out. Spark Auto is simply hands down the most honest, well run shop that I have ever taken my car to. These guys know their cars, know how provide excellent service, and their prices are very, very reasonable! The owner, Mr. Ali, is a professional and clearly knows what makes a good shop!

Took my girlfriend's car for service. (Brakes, control arms, ball joints, and oil change). Ali was very professional and knew exactly what the car needed with recommendations to make sure the car left the shop safe. The service was prompt with fair pricing, and I couldn't be any more happier with the result. Would highly recommend. we foolishly bought a junker car from a less-than responsible seller, took it here for a once-over and thankfully Ali & his team steared us clear. As a female, I really appreciated thier help and honesty. I was treated with great respect and never spoken down to (and that was enough for me to reccomend them on). They seem very fair, and also know what they're doing. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend this garage to others.

Had a great experience with Spark's auto in August and would totally recommend! I had numerous issues with my 16 year old car and made an appointment based on the recommendation of a friend. Called in this morning to replace my spark plugs on my 2009 f-150. The guys there are very knowledgeable and professional. They gave me a good price for labour and it was done within the same day upon my request. I highly recommend this garage for any kind of work. I have been coming to Spark Auto for 10 years now. Back then, my Buick got an estimate for over 5000$ to fix. Ali did it for 1000$ and extended the life of the car for another 2 years. Then he maintained my BMW X3; now my AUDI Q5. Whatever the issue they fix it. So honest. So reasonable. So accommodating. So friendly.

Asked them to save the parts on my brake change. They didn't. So now I'm out 1500 because they didn't follow a simple request. I'm wondering if my calipers even needed changing. They didn't show me the parts. I will be taking them to small claims because of fraudulent business practices. Steer clear of these scammers.

Great auto body shop! Few months ago, went in for a brake job and they were able to complete the work same day. Owner is truly genuine - about a week after my brakes I needed some tools to swap out my car battery. He loaned me the tools to do the work. Would definitely recommend.

I went to the store to get an oil change for my Mercedes Benz, turns out they used the wrong oil and filter, the check engine light is on after 200km drive and I have to get it change somewhere else again! Avoid this store, they don’t know what they are doing, vey disappointing!

Went in to see Ash. They are closed on saturdays but he still said I could come on down quickly. Checked out my flat and my lug nuts. Said he would order the keys for the shop himself and get it down for me. Super nice guy and beyond helpful. Couldn’t recommend a mechanic more

I called in at 8:00pm on Friday, was connected with a towing service who brought my car there. Although busy on Saturday the owner, Ali, told me they would do their best to fix it during that day. It was ready at noon and the price was fair. Great service, nice people.

the owner is not honest, and he is very rude. they will overprice you for everything. he wanted to sell me items that cost 100$ for 250$...they might take off some of your car components and tell you its missing. its a very bad place.

Took my car in to fix the transmission about a year ago, they couldn't find the part... I have never looked for a car part in my life and I found it... Ended up costing me 2 additional tows and got ripped off on the battery
