Had a click and collect order but I didn't know you had to pick it up within 5 days or the order will be cancelled. I work fly in fly out so there was no way I could get it in time. So called ahead to ask if it was ok for my partner to collect it or if they could hold it for me until I'm back in Adelaide and the lady who answered the phone said it was fine and that my partner just needs to have the confirmation email of the order and his ID with him so they can put on file who collected it which is fair. I asked if she needed to take my details but she didn't need it. So great I called my partner to pick it up for me but when he got there they said he can't collect it because I didn't leave his name in my order. I asked him if he can explain the situation and if they can at least hold the order until I got back which was in another 6 days. But they refused and said they could only hold it for 5 days. So it was like what do I do now. They told my partner I could call them to tell them his details so he can collect it. So while at work I had to call them again and literally all I told them was the same as the first conversation and they just took his name and that was it. They finally gave him the click and collect order. I asked if they needed my order details or even my last name or my phone number to identify me but they said no and that was it. Was so frustrating! So if they cared so much about identity that they didn't let my partner pick up the click and collect and needed me to call them again to confirm my identity why would they not even need to take my details to confirm it was me. They were not accommodating at all, not being able to hold an order for just a few more days. Do they not understand people work. If you have that policy, you should say it clearly on your website when I'm putting through the order. I was already trying to be organised and calling in advance. All staff should be trained to give the same information if the policy was that stricted.

I've been shopping at this spotlight very regularly (several times per month) for years and my experiences there are always pretty consistent. Not fantastic, but not terrible either. There's often a lot of low stock, or items just not stocked at this spotlight, but that's pretty standard with all Spotlight stores. Overall, I'm usually able to find what I need. Being in the homemaker centre, this spotlight store gets extremely busy during peak times (weekends and Thursday nights) and they never seem to have extra staff on during these times, which means the waits can be rather significant. Staff at the front checkouts and the party counter are usually very helpful. The cutting/fabric counter however is a real hit and miss. There never seem to be enough staff at the cutting counter and a lot of them are slow or unfriendly. One middle-aged lady who always seems to be working never smile or makes conversation unless shes talking to a friend or chatting with coworkers. She also made my life difficult one by claiming my member/phone number wasn't in the system, even though it always works. When I suggested she maybe put the number in wrong, she looked positively offended at my suggestion. I try to avoid being served by her if possible. I also had an interaction here once during the height of COVID when I was served by a girl who was clearly sick (red, watery eyes and coughing constantly). It was probably just a cold but I was appalled that they allowed her to be at work during COVID when she was visibly ill. Overall, this store does what it says on the box and you will usually find what you need - but don't except top-notch service.

Went in for a return as the curtain I bought was not as explained really rough material I bought an curtain rack as well which was broken when I got home. Managed to return the curtain rack with lots of side roll eyes and really inappropriate attitude from one of the ladies talking to her coworker infront of me saying I have broken it myself and just want to return. The other lady speaking with the manager wanting to just find fault with this return talk to Connie and said I don’t have an cardboard in middle of the curtain which this return would not be possible without it and said I have to return with cupboard. Which will take me about 30 minute drive back ! The lady I got served by was nice she at least apologise but the other lady just had it with me she walked away. My mum is a big customer of this store purchasing about 1000 worth of curtains. my aim was not just returning things but the people and store needs to understand cheap old product in shelf would not be sell and they need to understand the return policy they write on their receipt to except it as well.

After looking on line to purchase a Friskars cutting blade & according to the website it was in stock I went to the Gepps Cross store. I went to the appropriate section & was unable to find it, so I went to the front 'service' desk & asked the girl to look it up & yes it was supposed to be in stock. She directed me to the Party service desk for assistance. No one there so I rang the bell 3 times, still no service. I made my way to the haberdashery section where someone was serving. After waiting there to ask, she said they were short staffed & tried to call someone. After 5 more minutes of waiting at the party desk again I left the store. I had wasted enough time. NOT GOOD ENOUGH SPOTLIGHT GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. Two issues here: 1. Adjust your stocks on line accordingly or is this just to get more people into the store thinking there is stock 2. Ensure there are a suitable number of staff in your store to serve your customers

Words cannot explain how angry I am with the service I just received. I came with with my own balloons too have them filled on the 28th/05/22 at 3:05 and the girl who served me firstly was absolutely rude. Processed to tell me I have too wait 20 minutes which I did. Then I come back, 20 minutes later they weren’t done. She then starts it, and pops the first balloon and doesn’t say sorry just says her helium didn’t go well with it? I had to then pay for another 2 balloons full price because they didn’t have the matching colour. No sorry at all. Absolutely disgusted, get some manners.

If I could give this a 0, I would. Tried calling the store multiple times, letting it ring out and no one would pick up. Came into the store, was ignored and given no service. When I was walking around trying to find a worker, there were three of them having a chat and laugh about their weekend, as the work phones were continuously ringing. They continued to ignored me even though they could see I was trying to get help. The only positive was the girl at the register who was apologetic and nice about the situation.

Look the girls at the fabric tables are great service wise however their front end staff have completely put me off coming again. Couldn't answer questions with any confidence and just hopeful I'd leave without an answer to a simple question, just call someone who knows if you dont or tell a wondering customer when someone who knows the answer will be available to talk to dont keep trying to shoo away a customer who just wants a question answered in a rude manor. Don't think I'll be back supporting this store.

Found what we wanted, but in the most inconvenient spot. Clocks and prints should not be placed in the line up area to pay for your goods. You cant look at them without queuing up like your waiting to pay, then when you finally reach them you cant stand back to look at them as you do when choosing a print or large clock, shelving is also very high in this section. I think they should be in there own section and not where they are, prints are also behind registers so makes viewing even harder.

Not happy with the place - I wanted to purchase 4 x 165cm of a fabric and I was told I couldn't. I'd have to get all of them in one roll, and would have to cut it myself at home. I don't have space and rulers to cut it straight, so I didn't want to do that. I wondered whether they refuse to serve you if you walk in four times asking for one more piece, but haven't tested it. Just went to another spotlight where they didn't have any issues with this.

To be honest every time I have gone to this shop the queues was long and most of the time only one person at the checkout. Long waits at the materials and at the party section. Staff is not always very friendly either properly because of the stress of there not being enough staff. I love shopping at Spotlight but Spotlight Gepps Cross needs to up their game. I don't like giving negative reviews, but this is positive criticism.

First time I've been to this spotlight location and honestly it's the best one I've been to. The store layout was great, I noticed it right away when I walked in. The staff were nice especially the lady at the fabric counter I forgot her name but starts with C. I definitely will be coming back to this spotlight store instead of the Trinity Gardens one I always go to. Completely different experience between the two.

It’s a large store and has huge variety however isn’t so great with in stock. Most sale items are not available and the party section isn’t that great and quite limited, Halloween costumes are hit miss. The Christmas stock however is coming in slowly and there’s always so much to choose from. The self serve price checkers are never working, so often have to ask staff, who are not always willing but are helpful.

Had to wait for a bit to get any service at the material counter, asked" what I want" oh really I want some service. Stupid question Then price totals queried twice about price. Wanted to charge me full price for remenant piece of material.Then when questioned about the price she was going to charge she changed the price .Really won't be going back to that store.Rip off

Usually have a better experience but today not enough staff on to ask assistance to locate an item. Found someone at the balloon desk when she was finished with a customer, I did say excuse me and preceded to ask my question. She rudely let me know over there in the corner. Really!!! have you forgotten what customer service is all about, eye contact and being pleasant.

Good store, friendly helpful staff, I don't know the set up up this store as well as the Munno Para Spotlight, but still found what I was looking for easily and the staff were helpful showing me what I was looking for. Still easy to get around and the checkout gets really busy but the staff get right there and the line up of customers gets shorter more quickly.

Friendly staff Had the item I was searching for, beaded backdoor (fly deterrent) door covering. . so my Adelaide klee kai pomsky crew could come and go on the warmer summer days. Looks great and is very functional Clean store, loads of parking I called ahead for availability Well stocked with so much gear and neat too! Pics with and without super happy!

Not a terrible store besides being a bit crowded but the shelves are always empty or disorganised and the service is bad. Not enough staff. The last 2 times I've been recently there has been 1 person serving a long line of people meaning you have to wait about 15 minutes to be served which sucks when you just want to be in and out.

Friendly staff at check out counter, but always seem to be short staffed there. Queue moved quite quickly, though, despite the poor worker being alone. Always find what i need, though! Could do with fewer containers filled with stock being out on the floor, potential hazards. Guessing they must not have space out the back for it.

I was treated kinda rudely at this store. It was like I was accused multiple times of stealing or the people were watching me because of my appearance. Kinda ironic that I am being treat like a thief when the prices of things are much cheaper online or other places even for the same products. This just from what I seen.

Incredibly incompetant organisation, can never get service, order items online which they say are in-stock and take payment for before sending you an apology email advising they have no stock. Surely in the world of electronic inventory you shouldn't be in a position to sell stock you dont actually have. Terrible.

Went in store to do an exchange that was meant to be simple and easy, but was fussed around and treated quite badly. We called the store before going there because we don't live anywhere near this store, and were upset with how we were treated. Eventually our simple needs were met but weren't happy overall.

4 star rating as this place is brilliantly stocked with all the craft, homewares and party supplies you could want *but* they definitely need more staff and more registers open. The staff are under pressure and do the best they can. I love grabbing a bargain at the seasonal clearances.

Easy parking but no disable parking at front of store. Easy access to area's that you need to go it was wool today for a beginners crocheting to give it a go. All done quickly & out the door - access is now easier from pt wakefield rd the back way avoiding main north rd traffic.☺

Great variety Store! So many craft options. They have a large range of material and sewing items and sewing machines. A good range of Christmas items too. Have plenty of time to shop as it is a large Store with so much available. I highly recommend you visit this Store.

I love spotlight... Some times in life you have to wait for good things. So when you have to wait at the fabric counter because it's 50% off please be nice to the people serving you, they are doing there best... The staff are all way's polite and friendly.

Had some great interactions with staff here. Even though I prefer the layout of the spotlight clovercrest store, there is much more range here; especially in terms of fabrics. Almost too much to choose from! Always looking forward to my next visit :)

I am a Spotlight member. I love looking through to see what's new. This time I needed a curtain for a doorway to prevent heat loss from my family room. They had everything I needed bar some hardware to hang them on plasterboard walls.

Unlike other establishment, eyes would roll here when you ask for a refund. We ask respectfully if we can please have a refund, you could just say, i'm sorry but we can't. You don't have to roll your eyes at us and bang your drawers.

There was a lovely girl there around 16 alone at the counters she was extremely polite and kind and even though a line started building up she made sure to care for each customer's needs also they have great jewellery there.

$7 for a fat quarter is ridiculous. Also my daughter didn't feel well while in the store and there was not even a chair for her to sit on. Just as well she didn't thrown up. It was extremely stuffy.

A bit too crowded with stock. Pathways not clearly marked. It usually takes me 20 minutes to find one item when I just want to go in and out of the store. Other than that. Good place for craft
