Great experience as I met nice people (shopowners) very humble, helping , soft spoken and easy. Being new in Munich, I just went there to buy some grocery and found that the it is nice shop, stuff is stacked proper and billing was also itemised.good transparency and apart from buying groceries I asked few questions about other services like any tiffin and parlour services and shop owner really helped with great suggestions which I must say was of great help for me that time. I was in need of urgent tiffin service for dew days and she immediately gave me contact details and it worked out so fast. Great people bog hearts. I also bought sweets from the shop and it was of great quality and fresh.she even gave me honest recommended about paneer and other grocery items..where as per my previous experience once I bought stale paneer which was recommended to me by another Indian shopkeeper in another German city. Since then I lost the trust in that shop,in it's billing, products and the people. Highly recommend Sri Balaji Indian Market.

A small shop but say it they have it. This is the only shop in Munich for desi groceries where you are not cheated as per my experience. They are serious not to stock items longer and sell old things to customer. They also adviced honestly to buy or not to buy. Prices are cheaper than even online stores and they dont change per person. In another famous Munich store which claims to be Indian but is not, I recently was charged for 1.5 kgs of vegetables at random price, when I checked it later they were only 600grams. In this shop, their bill is perfect includes item name, weight and price and even weight of the vegetables which is exactly matching at grams level when I checked in another supermarket later.

Pros: Good value for money. The first time that I'd visited, the owners themselves were at the store, and they were very kind and friendly. They were great at assisting me in finding stuff that I was looking for. The prices were very transparent (no hidden costs/manipulations). I have already visited several times now, and I have always gotten a full receipt for my purchases. Also, don't be fooled by the modest size of the shop as they do store a wide variety of items. Con: Their Indian veggies stock could be fresher. One can usually find much fresher stock elsewhere.

Small shop located around 10 minutes walk from Munich central train stations. Most of the spices, flour, rice etc. Unorganized shop with many essential items missing. Some of the items are priced 2-3 times than they are in other cities in Germany. Most of the people commenting here seems to have seen Indian shops in Munich. If thats the high standard according to them (mention of price tags, etc) with all 5 star rating, then they will feel on paradise when they will visit Indian shops in other cities like Hannover, Hamburg etc.

Today was my first ever visit to the store and first thing I liked was the that they store owner was a total gentlemen! Absolutely - transparent on the options and very welcoming on the choices. The general pricing on the items also seemed less than other Indian stores. Highly recommended. Improvement- I found it a little smelly maybe because of too much mixing of so many flavours of Indian ingredients! And he gave a proper bill! I hate to say- otherwise Indian stores is the only place where we don’t get proper bill!

I was pleasantly surprised to find all the Indian food items I was looking for at this store in Munich. They had a great variety including curry leaves, whole spices, and urad dal, among others. The prices were very reasonable compared to other Indian stores. The customer service was exceptional and very welcoming. The vegetables were fresh and I was impressed that the coriander and mint remained fresh for over two weeks. Overall, it was a great experience!

Very good hospitality with friendly gestures, treating you like a family member. Prices being reasonable with an itemized receipt. Carefully stored with extra care about the items and arranged, without any inconvenience with the expiry dates on items. Also the parking should not be a problem. Most of the items with vegetables and fruits are available except for the very rare stuffs. Highly recommendable and value for your hard earned money.

  • Sweden Test Piece (Test Piece)

Has potentially all Indian stuff. The staff was so kind and gentle to help with.. veggies were OK bcos we did not go on the arrival day.. usually it is on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Then you could buy it fresh. The lentils and rice varieties were good. All spices were found. You could also buy a couple of utensils like idli cooker, rice cooker and pots. Indian broom also sold here. I did not compare the prices.. but looks good.

Best Indian store where we can get groceries of superior quality. Prices are always comparitively cheaper. Annam chapati's are the one you can try along with all kinds of groceries.(fresh stock of all kinds of dals). We can get all kinds of Indian spices. **Note: Items prices are displayed against their names. Transparent biling where most of the stores i doesn't display names against item prices (be cautious).

I have been living in the US for a little over 2 decades and went to Germany on an official trip, tired of restaurant food wanted to get some groceries for self. Bumped into this Grocers. Amazing place with very friendly staff. I soon realized that this place has much more variety than you would think. Overall had a very high experience. Thus took time to sit and write this review.

Undoubtedly the best Indian Supermarket! They are genuine, loyal and trustworthy. They accept any mode of payment unlike other indian supermarkets where they take only cash. And they give a proper bill(this is not the case with most of the indian supermarkets). They check expiry and update the goods accordingly. Visit once and I'm sure you'll agree with me.

This is the best place for Indian foodstuffs. Great choice of patak's curry paste and chutneys, nan bread (delicious snack - pop it in the toaster), fresh coriander and mint for just one euro, fresh fruit and vegetables, papadams, spices, etc Very friendly people, very fair prices, easy parking (usually). I'm so pleased I live near this place.

  • Neeraj Agrawal

Good Indian grocery place in Munich, most of the regular stuff is available, reasonable price and friendly people with smile of faces all the time which brings you back here everytime.... i found it bit small if 8-10 people are in the store then difficult to move around... but being an Indian i dont mind that.... …

Gr8 shop. Almost all varities are available and with great price as compared to others in the market. Tried looking for some spices that were not available anywhere but were available with Balaji Indian Store. Amazed with the stocks !! Good customer experience and great value for money. One shop for all your indian needs.

  • Vivek Karmakar

Good store. Nice people. Isn't as stocked as the Kaschmir store in Karlsplatz but is enough. Many price tags are missing, but the shopkeepers will inform you glady if asked. Prices are the same as every other Indian store though. Card and of course cash payment possible. Unfortunately I do not know about mobile payment.

  • kosuri subbaraju

Considering its the only Indian store in this Area or nearby it is easier to get things which are not available in the edeka or Rewe rather than travelling to haubtbahnof or other areas.. All of the Vegetables and other Indian Products are available.
