Built in 1867 this Gothic style bluestone church is as solid and picturesque as the day it was built. It has has some extra pieces add during the year of the “Ned Kelly Gang” siege of 1880, the church as nothing to do with the Glenrowan event. On the day of my visit Rev. Cath performed a lovely service. The church is open regularly for prayer and if you find it closed just call at the adjacent red brick parish office to have it opened for you. This church is situated in the centre of Sunbury’s shopping district and provides a lovely venue to visit anytime.
Was absolutely blessed to visit the 8:30am service! I came away challenged and uplifted, congregation was very friendly and welcoming. This is a great solid traditional prayer book service.
Wonderful extended family, and so very friendly. I don't know how I would have survived the last few years without St Mary's.....
