This cemetery is as old as a century.Started its operation since the establishment of Saint Joshep church Years and years ago before the construction of Saint Michel church which is found in front of the prior saint joshep church bisected by the Addis Ababa ring road after the European millionennium were many notable Ethiopians are buried among them Abebe Bikila (the first black skinned person to win marathon @ Olympics ,Athlete Mamo wolde,Journalist Solomon Tesema,Musicians like Buzunesh Bekele,Kiros Alemayehu and Comedian Alebachew Teka and many others.
