Today's visit was my second to the Burlington Fairview St. Staples location and once again it was exceptional! My first exceptionally good experience involved buying a laptop from this store last year. The first unit was not suited well enough for my son and the store happily exchanged the laptop for another he had also considered. An excellent experience by patient and knowledgeable staff members. Now today, I attended the store Sunday afternoon, approximately 1:30-2:00 p.m. and only one cash was open, with several customers lined up already. I had made a Buy Online Pick-up In Store purchase (BOPiS) and an email alerted me they had my order ready for pick-up. I asked a staff member where to pick-up my purchase and they indicated it was the one line with lots of people in line. At this point, the current cashier called for back-up and this was definitely necessary. No one looked pleased waiting in line. I confess I thought the newly open cash desk would be able to handle my BOPiS transaction, but when I reached the cash the attendant said I would need to go to the original cashier. These two cash desks are physically linked to each other. At this point there was a third cash register opening to help with the large number of customers. I said to this cashier that I would not go to the other side as the two registers are linked to one another. At this point, Sarah appeared and took care of my purchase without hesitation. She performed well under pressure having to deal with many customers including my disgruntled self. The staff would have been in their right to insist I join the longer line, but they graciously took care of me. BOPiS orders are handled by a central monitor between these two cash desks so really, either station should have been able to accommodate customers with similar orders, in my opinion. Well done to all 5 stars again! Many Thanks.
Went to this 1881 Fairview Street Burlington Staples location yesterday to purchase an antivirus software. Bad Mistake! The soap dispenser and the hand sanitizer dispenser in the washroom were BOTH EMPTY. The paper towel holder had an EMPTY spindle with no paper roll in it. Had to walk up to the lone cashier in the near empty store with minimal staffing to bring the washroom issue to her attention so I could wash my hands before making my purchase. No word of apology from her. The cashier gets another guy to get the problem fixed but this employee is unable find refill soap, so he fetches a third employee from the far end of the store. The third guy totters along and after about ten minutes of search finally finds a soap refill for the washroom. With soap to wash my hands with, I ask the guy who it was who was responsible for the washroom maintenance? "We are", he says..."we run out sometimes". I asked him how the soap, sanitizer and the paper towel ALL "run out" at the same time? Same response - "We run out sometimes"...but NO word of apology. In a store nearly empty of customers (I can see why), with minimal staffing that make sure to remind you to put on your mask, to social distance, to wash hands with soap, and to hand sanitize before entering the store, they "maintain" a washroom with NO soap, NO hand sanitizer, NO paper towel...and NO apology for the customer inconvenience. Only arrogance. One star only because they had running water in the washroom. Never going to step foot into this store again!
Had an aweful experience where the man at Best Buy knew NOTHING about product. Drove down to Staples as we got ink there before so figured we would try. Aiden was a TOTAL life saver. Spent time with us showing us options, listened to concerns and altered his suggestions accordingly. He ended up selling us because he had the exact unit he was suggesting. Walked us over to order in store as they were sold out. Online was sold out too and they only had it in Oakville. We didnt want him to lose credit for the sale but he was insistent that if the product was a fit that was enough. Before we even asked he printed a slip with the model, price and all the details. We are picking up the printer today and my business loyalty is now to this store. I worked in loyalty and retention for upwards of 10 years and would be thrilled if everyone could train under this guy. He knows what he is doing which is refreshing to see in a young guy.
I went in the store to buy ink cartridges and the sales rep Mohamed was so helpful. He had noticed I looked at iPads on my way in (he confided later)so he directed me over to the ipads after helping me with the cartridges. Did a great job with his extensive apple knowledge and I left with ink cartridges, an iPad and a fabulous keyboard that can sync up to three devices. I never would have chosen it and it is one of the best keyboards I have tried. Jayme got the iPad from storage and did a great job ringing me out and setting me up with apple care. I left completely satisfied and never once felt pressured. The two of them truly gave great customer service. I highly recommend the Fairview Burlington store.

Please note that this young woman served my friend and I although she was on her break, as one of her Associates informed us as we were leaving. Extremely helpful, professional and friendly. We definitely recommend Ms. Nosella for any Employee Commendation Programmes/Rewards offered by Staples. One of us was the Director of HR for 30 years. The Toronto based company is a large, well known corporation which employs over 25,000 in the GTA. One possesses solid knowledge of Personnel and HR matters. Many thanks.
LOOKING FOR A 5-PORT GIGABIT SWITCH AND THE D-LINK ON SALE IN THE FLYER THIS WEEK FIT THE BILL. I MET MICHAEL A SALES REP. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND VERY NICE GUY. TALKED ABOUT MY NEEDS AND FUTURE EXPANSION. THOUGHT 5 PORTS WAS GOOD BUT 8 PORTS WOULD BE MUCH BETTER IN THE FUTURE, MICHAEL INFORMED ME THAT BEST BUY HAD THE 8 PORT D-LINK SWITCH ON SALE AND SAID THAT HE WOULD MATCH THERE PRICE !! BONUS, THANK YOU MICHAEL & STAPLES. HOPE TO GET THE SWITCH INSTALL THIS WEEKEND TO CONNECT UP ALL OF MY PERIPHERALS, TV, STREAMING BOXES, AUXILIARY PRINTER AND EVEN MY LAPTOP. BEST OF ALL I WILL STILL HAVE SPARE PORTS !!
I wanted to purchase an iMac computer. I Could not find anyone to help me so I asked cashier who was chatting with another associate. The other associate told me he would help. I asked him I wanted to purchase a blue iMac computer. He advised me there’s none in stock. I then asked him about the silver iMac at which he told me the same thing. I went to the Hamilton staples and purchased it there and asked if the Fairview store had any in stock . He checked and told me they had plenty blue and silver iMacs. I will never shop at the Fairview store again. This is why people shop online.
Terrible experience with manager. I had a job done and they couldn't give me a complete quote as they didn't know how many pages it would be. There were lots of additional charges that were added in when I went to pick it up today that I wasn't made aware by the sales person. I explained this to the manager and he said if I was a regular customer (I USED to do my business printing there when needed), that I should have known and basically walked away. I was stunned by experience.
I went to this staples on Friday to get something printed, VERY SIMPLE JOB, this lady was going to print them for me at the time and the stupid manager came up being EXTREMELY RUDE saying that they can't print them today I'll have to come back tomorrow or Sunday. He was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL LAZY AND RUDE.. This person should never be in charge of managing paper.. much less managing people. Fire this idiot immediately. He was the manager on duty on Friday August 11th.
I have to print a one-page document in black and white for an employee who needs to apply for OHIP. I am frustrated to learn that Staples charges 3 dollars of "service fee" during lockdown, while the printing service itself costs 16 cents. This feels like being taken advantage of while trying to get an essential task done. I understand all restrictions and concern with safety, but printing is one of Staples businesses and customers need to have fair options available...
Came in here on Jan 2nd mid-day and they were definitely a bit short staffed but the people who were working went out of their way and provided amazing service. They were out of the monitor I came in for but they got me set up with a similar model for the same price. I was also on crutches and the manager and other guy working cash made sure I didn’t have to move too much and offered to carry out to my car :) Forgot to catch their names but all the kudos to these guys!
Went in to ship a product via Purolator they didn’t have a simplified way of printing shipping label. I had to log onto a computer with credit card and it was .30 per min. When I was able to log into the terminal I couldn’t log into the email because they system was saying I wasn’t authorized and the representative did little help. Needless to say I left the store without shipping my item I guess I’ll stick with UPS in the future which is more straightforward to use.
The staff at the Davidson Court store, in the copy department, were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Especially the young gentleman that helped me with my copy needs. Wish I remembered his name. He was so pleasant and helpful and never made me feel like an idiot when I was unsure of how to use the copier. Great experience. Would shop here again! Also, the cost of the copies were much, much cheaper than at the UPS store where I had recently gone for copies.
Just spoke with Justin and that's how you answer a phone... Positive helpful, cheerful and provided value... I was in retail 30 years ago and that's how we spoke to customers, lot of that positive attitude has vanished from retail today and is the reason why most people, myself included buy online instead of walking into a store and having to deal with employees that have no interested in helping you . If I could give it zero I would but Google won't let me. Brought in my computer for a simple plastic piece that was broken due to manufacture cheap quality and even though I got coverage on it they refuse to fix it saying that it wasn't covered under the warranty, so I told them I'm going to come and get my computer. When I came back they told me or there's going to be a Diagnostics charge! What the f!! These guys are just rip-off artists stay away
Pretty frustrating experiences at this location. Always a problem with the printers : jams, out of paper, error message, spontaneous computer reboot. Not enough staff to service courrier and print at the same counter, no organization for lining up, staff computer so old and slow it wasn’t showing the markups on my PDF I needed to print but they were there on the pay by the minute computer. Took an hour and almost $5 to print two simple documents.
Ordered 4 banners. Only received 1. Immediately called the Staples central customer service line and they ended up being of no help. They said all the right things but, nothing was accomplished after more than 10 days. After an email and three/four follow up calls to the central line I decided to call the store on Fairview. Jeff in the print shop took the call and resolved the issue in a day. Great customer service! Head office should reward him.
This Staples seems to have a wider variety of items in stock than the other Staples branch in Burlington. Aisles were clean, well-organized and well labelled. I quickly found the printer I was looking for. I love that the store set up demo printers for many of the printers they sell, making it easy to check size and build quality in-person before buying. Glad that they had multiple checkout tills open, so there was no wait time to purchase.
This rating of one star is only for the copy/print centre. Do not come here if you need to scan something in bulk. They charge for computer usage by the minute. This would not be a problem if they hadn't setup the slowest scanner in the entire building for you to use. It takes 10 secs per page to scan and if you are scanning multiple pages that adds up fast when they also charge $0.30 per minute to use the scanner.
5 star only for Ravan who helps for printing services.... her customer service skills are great...and she is so helpful but on the other hand...when i went there next day employee name Jennifer was there...the way she responded was so rude..she doesn't even know how to smile with eyes when you have your mask on and how to talk professionally as well as nicely with customer. Very disappointed.
I have downgraded my rating from a 4 to a 2 star. I ordered 2 things online for curbside pickup. When I went to the store to pick them up, I got 1 item, I was never told why I didn't get the second item. I had to drive back to the store and advised they were out of stock. It would have been nice to be advised when I was given the items. Poor communication...
I used the online Staples Copy Centre to upload a 100-page document I needed the same day. I easily set up the printing specs (double-sided and hole punched) and checked out. Received notification that it was ready an hour later. So happy with the service speed and quality of printing. Staff members are always friendly and helpful at this store location.
Do not place any orders online, they failed to deliver my product and won't refund me my money. And you can't speak to a manager because they will tell you the phone service is suspended. Pleasure doing business with you thieves. Edit: the only way i was able to get my money back was by tweeting them. They also offered me 50% my next purchase.

I brought in a Purolator parcel. It was the first time I was using this service. An employee in the print shop immediately notice my tentativeness and called me over and took my parcel. So far; so good. My parcel was an amazon return. It seems however, to have been lost, It's been nearly 2 weeks now andAmazon hasn't received it yet.
Worst place to print anything. I sat on one of their computer as there was some issue in documents transferring to the printer and realized it later that the computer is like a taxi having a meter, it's charging you every second. That is a cheap cheap try by staples to earn money. Anyways I had a really bad experience
From pin to paper under one roof.Execellent staff with amazing knowledge of all the things available, very friendly. Store is very neat and laid out with information on each of the items. Now you also have Bell wireless service available in the store with wide variety of mobiles and plans to choose from. Must visit.
I do a lot of projects that require a fair amount of colour printing. I can always count on a "perfect job" when Jeff is working. He is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He is very helpful with suggestions on print set up and paper type. I know I will have a great day when Jeff is working!! Thanks Jeff
By far the worst staples. Printing always comes out bad never fails. They have old machines. Theres always a problem withe their print me stations. Employees are rude. They never update or put signs about broken things or hours of operation changes. Noone answers the phone for curbside pick up
I was at this store to buy a toner cartridge, which they did not have in stock. I was told the Staples on Davidson had 3 in stock, so I drive there. The Davidson location couldn’t find them, and told me their inventory must be wrong. So I drove around, wasting my time and gas, for nothing.
This is the best Staples EVER!!!! I highly recommend you go to this Staples it was worth the 45 minute drive. I 100% guarntee that it will not disapoint. I will definetly be back soon! I also love the slogan so catchy and so accurate "that was easy" and it certainly was.
My experience here was awesome. The staffs are very friendly. I wish I could remember the name of the lady that attended to me the day I was there ,she's got exceptional customer service relationship. She helped me out with my purchase made it very easy and nice.
Honestly the photo quality is fine and the only reason I still use this location is simply that- the location. I find it pretty ridiculous that in 2022 it takes over a week or two weeks to print off one photo copy of an 8x10 lol. Pretty despicable if you ask me!
They had the products that I was looking for. The young man named Aeden was very helpful and informative, he actually saved me money on my purchase with his suggestion. I would recommend if you go to this location, definitely try and speak to this young man.

I went to Staples on Fairview to scan and email a document. It was busy and I needed someone to help me with this. Jeff was great! He talked me through it with patience. Jeff has great customer service skills and I appreciated that.
Went in, got the excellent black Friday deal, great staffing helped me find the item, checked out. The whole visit took 10 minutes. Usually I wander around the store but when I am rushed, get to get in and out so quickly is a bonus
Only positive was they had the items I needed in stock other than that terrible service. Guy at computer service desk flat out lied about the ipad not having any manufacturer warranty to try to get us to buy an extended warranty.
I got to the cash and I had forgotten my wallet. The service representative kept all my items at the cash for me and recognized me when I came back a few hours later. I did not have to go looking for the items all over again.
Went to this location after terrible service at the one on Guelph line (don’t go there). Asked to have something printed was told it could be done right away. Professional and friendly. Will go back and highly recommend.
I don't come here very often but when I need to use the copiers or fax machines it works great. Easy to use and not to expensive. The store is nice and clean, but I have found some employees to be a little inattentive.
Went their to get copies for some documents was pretty quick and easy. Got help from an employee( sorry forgot to ask for name) she was so helpful and also helped me to choose the correct options for the process.

I went to that location to get my passport picture done. Jeff was the one who served me and he was outstanding. Friendly and funny and so rapid, I couldn’t believe how quick it was done. Thank you Jeff !
Went to the printing section. The printing job itself was good. The girl that was taking care of the job showed a frustrated attitude and was not friendly. I don’t think I would go there again.
I would give their customer service and sales people a zero rating but google does not have zero ratings. They do not have sufficient product knowledge , just a bunch of pushy sales people.
Excellent, fast service at the creative center. I needed to have some quick layout work done, hundred of copies made and cut and it was all taken care of perfectly and with a smile.

Terrible customer service. Avoid this place at all costs. Tried to exchange a broken phone charger and I was turned down because I was one day late.

A standard Staples experience, there were shelves of stationary and other office supplies for sale. Printing desk staff was very helpful.
Was there to print documents from a USB stick. The printer did not support xlsx documents. Will have to return once I reformat the files
