This place is a joke. I asked for a mini detail on my Prado and the price stated on their menu board was “SUV/4WD $140”. Sparkles Garden City charges only $90 for a mini detail for SUV/4WD. One would think that being $50 dearer than your competitor, you would be providing a little more for the price you are asking for. Anyway, i wanted to do a mini detail here at Star for my own convenience sake being in this location at that time. Prior to this incident, i had a mini detail done here before and was, indeed, charged $140. The service was pretty much the same as Sparkles’ $90 mini, if not, less attentive than Sparkles when it comes to the detailing of dashboard areas. Anyway, the guy who came to meet me, told me that they usually charge an extra $40 for a Prado (they didn’t the last time). He subsequently pointed to another Prado, which was in the middle of washing, and said that the Prado was under a full detail service ($330 on their menu) and he charged the owner an extra $70, totalling $400, for the wash, as though trying to justify for the extra $40 he wanted to charge me for. I pointed to the menu price and reminded him that they should be charging $140. My car just needed a regular clean and was not in an exceptionally dirty condition. He insisted on the extra $40 on top of $140. $180 for a mini detail! Needless to say, i turned around and walked away, shaking my head at such absurdity. Come here if you would like to be served and ripped off by a bunch of dodgy clowns. I will surely be reporting these guys to the Fair Trading Department.

Dear Owner, I feel the need to reply to your response to my review. As with many other reviews on your business I was advised I need to upgrade (pay more money!). Yes my car was dirty, I wouldn't need your services if it wasn't. The mats were removed from my car- they certainly weren't washed. Upon picking up my car your staff member asked me to unlock my car so he could put the mats in the boot of my car. It wasn't a question but a statement. At no time ever did I request a car detail for any amount of money. I just wanted my car cleaned, vaccumed, dust removed and windows cleaned as your website advertises you do for $35. You are obviously not aware that I review all kinds of goods and services on lots of different sites. If I don't believe I have received value for money my review reflects that honestly. I think instead of taking the time to read my previous reviews and pass personal comments you should teach you staff how to actually wash cars and teach them and yourself some customer service skills.

Pretty bad customer service. Parked at a spot and got asked to park somewhere else without seeing if we wanted a carwash. Wanting to talked to someone which service to do, but no one seems like they want the job. One was sitting in the office talking on phone and just stare at us. Other were just kept doing what they were doing. Was told the car will be ready in an hour, but realized they haven't even started after 40 mins. And received a text said our car is ready 20 mins after. So the whole job took them 20mins?? ( We did both interior and exterior clean) When we pick up the car, noticed that there are still lots of leaves stuck on the front and back windshield. We asked if they could get them off for us but they start to complain that we only paid for the $57 service and that was not included and that they have already done extra things without charging us ...? Ive been to many other carwash, this one is the worse. Poor quality service and poor customer service. Do not recommend.

The worst car wash experience. Never go there again. 1. Though my two child seats randomly on the dirty floor where dirty water was running next to where my child seats lying. Their excuse was : no, you are wrong, the floor was not dirty and the water is not dirty. - ok, do that to your own child seats, see how you feel about it. 2. Over promising with deliver time. I told staffs that I need to go at 4pm as my daughter’s swimming class was 5pm at Parkinson. I got there at 3:50pm so I should have time to pay and install child seats back on, however, all seats are like sponges full of water. Their excuse was “oh I don’t know you have family travel with you”. - you are not even covered my drivers seats.... We didn’t make to my daughter’s swimming class, end up to call swimming and apologized to my daughter. 3. They never think they did anything wrong. So I paid them $330 for what they did and never come back again

Initially asked for an interior and exterior wash which they were happy to do so and offered to do extra polish for double the price than what I wished to pay for but agreed to it as I just needed my car to get a good clean. Got it back and saw dried leaves on my carpets and seats and other dirt, and not one, but TWO live bugs on my dashboard which I had to kill myself. Only vacuumed the carpet and seats and left everything else the same way I brought it back- doesn’t sound like an interior clean to me for the $100 i paid in total??? Same thing with the exterior, there were still obvious dirt in the spots where you don’t normally look at, at first glance. Same bad experience as everyone who wrote on this review, not very happy.

They did a pretty good job, only if they pay more attention on some small parts. The inside. I take the platinum wash, which include interior. They did a great job vacuuming, but they forgot to vacuum the 3rd row (since i bring down the chair so they might think that i didn’t use them). Also, when i look at the dashboard after i came out from the shopping centre it’s still a little dusty. It’s all only small stuff, but other than that they did great job. The outside. they did a great job too, but wish they can pay more attention to detail like after washing the car there’ll always be water droplets from the door handles, under the side mirrors, and also the luggage door. If they dry that properly, it’ll make it even better.

Paid for Platinum wash which was to include wash, interior clean & vacuum. Exterior looked clean except for front number plate which still had small bugs on it and spattering of dirt or mud in wheel arches. I also don't believe the boot was vacuumed. Will I return? No, I'll get my car washed at my local car wash at half the price & I'll do interior vacuum myself.Boot definitely not vacuumed.Platinum wash supposed to take over an hour, but was finished in 20 minutes. No wonder they didn't do a good job, they couldn'tll have done it properly in that time. I'll never go here again and will recommend that others don't either.They rang me to query review then wouldn't listen to my complaints. They only want good reviews.

I have been having my car washed by Star Car Wash at Sunnybank for over 12 months now and thought it was time a do a review commending them on their service and attention to detail to car washing and detailing. I have owned a VF SS Commodore since new and am fussy about how it is washed. The guys at Star Wash Sunnybank have more then satisfied my requirements. The last wash was done approximately a couple of weeks and let me say they out did themselves with the job they did inside and out of the car as well as all the glass which can be a real pain to do, the windscreen in particular. Bad Customer Service. My husband and I went here on the weekend and asked for the $35 Star Wash for our sedan. The guy said Oh if you want we can do the inside outside glass clean, tyres wash and dash etc for $55. We said no that's Ok just the $35 wash thanks. So once we go to pick it up, the guy explains to my husband that they accidently did the $55 wash and proceeded to enter $55.00 into the eftpos machine. My husband said Umm no it's not my fault you guys accidently did that, we aren't paying the extra. Then he says sorry sorry Ok you can pay $35. Honestly, the cheek of you! If you make a mistake, you have to deal with the consequences not us. Apart from that, the clean itself was great.

Don't recommend. Booked a few weeks ago online for the $57 platinum wash for our 2011 Toyota camry (sedan). Arrived and he took one look at our car and said it would be $200 instead. Sure our car had quite a few crumbs but no actual stains or anything hard to get out. He pointed to another car (much bigger in size than ours) and said that one was being charged XYZ as if that would make the $200 justifiable. Ended up reducing it down to $100, which makes it even crazier that he was trying to charge us $200 to start with. I understand charging more for cars that are "heavily soiled" as it says on their website, but ours wasn't. Asked for a refund and left.

I wanted to get the platinum job done and also had a $10 off voucher with entertainment app. Staff said it would cost more because car was very dirty and wanted to charge me $135 for polish. Yes, the rims were dirty but the rest of the car wasn't too bad. I said I wasn't going to pay that amount. He then said $95. Reluctantly I agreed but felt like I was pushed into paying the extra price. I said just wash them and don't worry about polishing and he refused. It couldnt of been that bad because i got a message 30 minutes later saying it was ready. I was happy with the end result but I won't be coming back

The one star is for shampooing the car seats well, and doing a semi-adequate rush job on the rest. Zero stars for: Time management Communication Attention to detail Gaslighting - telling me leaves and marks and dust on the car were because I left it there (under shelter) overnight (they did not give me enough notice to collect the car before closing time even they'd had it since 10am) Keeping me waiting on pick up this morning, vacuuming the mats last minute even though they'd had the car for 24 hours! I had paid for the interior detail service which retails for $199 and includes the exterior clean.

The worst car wash I've ever had. Do not recommend this place to anyone. I asked for a star polish. But I don't think any polish has been done. There are marks all over the car. The messiest work I've ever seen. They have vacuum the inside but can see bits and pieces all over the place like it's done in a rush. They haven't wiped down the back of the car. There are dirt marks on the doors, Spots of grime on all of the wheels. I paid to get my car washed, cleaned and waxed but they haven't done it properly. not worth the money. No experience,no professionalism. No standard.

Unhappy customer here! Gave another chance to see if they have improve their work but nope! Once again! Not worth it! Charging extra for apparently bugs marks which looks like rain marks but came back still there! Pointed it out and he tried to repolish but only the area pointed, when I actually inspected the whole car! It’s actually not clean clean! My car is relatively new and I can clean better but thought I would give my car a treat to have it “professionally cleaned” by meant to be better than me! But nope! Will never ever go back!!

"Okay google take me to the closest car wash" after 35 minutes driving around back streets and in through car parks. I finally get close enough to see the car wash. The effort alone to get to that point was far beyond the worth to purchase. The owners HAVE NOT entered the details correctly in to Google to make this service ready available for the public to use. I Don't give out 1 stars for no reason, but the location and effort to fund this car wash is far beyond what anyone with a grubby car needs to go through to get it clean.

Told my car was very dirty (wonder why I needed it cleaned?) Advised I should have bought the premium wash if I wanted it totally cleaned. I told him to just do $35 worth. Turns out that's not very much! The car was vaccumed, some parts were wiped inside, the windows half cleaned and the outside half cleaned. My car mats were pulled out and put back in the boot. The job took less than 30 mins to complete. I was advised I need to get my car detailed and I will but definitely not with star car wash.

Worst car wash in Brisbane, after the car wash dust still sitting on the screen and dashboard, lots of watermark on the right side of the car, I can still see dirt and dust on all of the carpet, hair still on the floor, I don't think they touch my boot too, still dust, dirt and marks there; charged me $10 extra because of my dirty wheels, but they didn't clean my wheels very well, I can still see dirt and dark spots on my wheel; the price is not the cheapest, but the result is the worst.

I spent $55 for platinum car wash which includes interior vaccum and cleaning, exterior hand wash and applying tyre shine. But what they did was, just did the interior vaccum (not even opened the boots), and gave a wash for the exterior. They didn't even care to wipe the dashboard, seats and the glass smears. Just applied the tyre shine on the outer side of the tyre. However, they managed to finish the cleaning on time. In overall, the experience was totally disappointing.

The car wash service I had today was unbelievably bad. Despite paying 140+ dollars for a thorough clean, they missed the boot entirely. I can understand if they missed couple of spots but this was unacceptable. Additionally, the overall coverage was lacking, leaving several areas untouched some areas where not even dusted. It felt like a poor value for the money and time spent. I left 100% unsatisfied with the service provided. Never ever going back.

Don’t throw anything of your customer away! I was using their service once before, and when I back home I found they throw all my fuel receipt sockets away. This time before I hand over the key to the staff, I told him do not throw anything! But when I come back, they throw everything out of my side door storage into the bin again!!!! I put my car in your place for wash, doesn’t mean you can throw my stuff, you can move them but not disposing them!

I booked today 10:30am on the phone in the yesterday. But star car wash staff don't know that. also, I already talk to price to some one yesterday on the phone. But I hear that different price in the morning from other staff in the star car wash sunnybank plaza. staff also has too rude and then the looks like don't want to working. because when he open the my car, he has touch too strong. My feeling is too bad. I never go there.

Apparently 2-3 hours means 5 1/2. Booked it an at 9:30, planned my day around it. No SMS at the 3 hour mark, sent an SMS at the 3 1/4 mark. No reply. Went to pick it up at the 3 1/2 hour mark and was told it wouldn't be ready until 3pm. This better be a very good detail, I don't deal well with time-wasters. They can't even claim something about car seat shampooing, as they were still working on it when I got there.

Booked for a Star polish detailing service $100,when i check the car when pickng up, can easily see lots of uncleaned spots on Windows and doors, water stains all over the car, when talk to the guy, he said those not included in the service and tried to sell me the other expensive detailing service,really disappointed and terrible experience,paid $100 they can not clean the car properly,stay away from this shop

I just got an exterier car wash. Good service and price. It took approximately 45mins. Reception was polite and helpful, advised of timing and price before service and I didn't have to wait to be spoken to. Car was cleaned well, dried and plastic trim polished for an extra $5. A couple very small dirty spots the pressure cleaner missed but otherwise car was left beautiful, shiny and clean. Thank you!

First of all I understood it wrong when the guy told me about the price. I guess he told me $25 but the correct price is $55. Ok, my mistake. But, that price was for a PLATINUM WASH, which it's never occurred. When I was checking outside of my car I could see several spots that they didn't clean, still dirty. This was the worse service I had in Australia so far. Do not recommend even for my enemies.

Had an "inside out" service the other day. The attempted up-selling was done cheerfully - loads of fun. We settled on my original request. I cannot fault the service. The car was pretty grubby and by the time I picked it up it was sparkly clean, waxed, vacuumed and smelt fabulous. AVOID!! Paid to have a wash, clay bar, and polished done. Clay bar not done (even though the staff ensured me it's done) ran my hand over the car and could still feel all the impurities. Staff member said he had over 6 years experience and that only a buff would get rid of the impurities. Doesn't not have a clue about detailing. PAID extra for a service that was never done, AVOID.

Don't go here. Got scammed of my money, none of the dirt on the car was properly washed off and couldn't even tell if they had cleaned the car. Got the car back with spiderwebs still left on the side mirrors and they didn't even wash the tyres at all. Better off letting the rain wash your car instead. Very disappointed and would do anything to get my money back.

Still finding things in the interior that weren't cleaned even after return visit to re-clean the seats. Seat tracks, door frames, door pockets etc all still with dust and loose dirt. Car wasn't by any means "dirty" to begin with, and for 30 mins over the quoted time and $270 I expected only one visit and a pretty damn good job. Will look elsewhere in future.

Good Job, Fast, Need a little more attention to detail. Clean inside and out generally well executed. All done including polish of SUV in under an hour so pretty happy. Vacuuming was not great and boot was missed altogether. Probably a simple oversight, and I am sure they would remedy but more convenient for me to do that little bit at home than take it back.

Update - The staff got in contact with me and offered to clean teh car again. Looks great now Original Review - Got the Polish Pack done to my car. Staff were friendly, but the car does not seem to have the whole treatment done. Roof was not washed under the roof rack, the interior trim still has dirt and the car does not feel like it been clayed and waxed.

Rip off. They were trying to charge me $110 for a Holden Trax for a polish when Carindale Star Wash only charged me $65 for the same service on a Holden Colorado the week before. This place tried to rip me off as I was a woman and tried to take advantage of me. I will never recommend this place. Do yourself a favour and go someone else!!!

I was there at closing time to do detailing of my car as it will take an hour to do so! No where else do so far but here I found great staff with good quality work ! He told me it's a closing time but do no worry we will do your car ! Really nice and great staff and work ! I will recommend this one to my family friends and all !

Went for platinum car wash and received after 2.5 hours and as I was in hurry to go to work and after sometime found out the car isn’t even vacuumed they only cleaned the mats but the carpet and wheels had dirt on them and the rear bumper was full with dirt. Tried calling them but number was not listed on google.

We asked for a $110 service, but certainly the after look doesn't meet this money. Apart from those photos, there are still many spots with water/oil marks not mentioned. It's very un-detailed service for a $110 (the highest level) price. Not gonna recommend their detail exterior/interior detail service.

Took a car for wash yesterday.... They wanted to charge additional $15 on top of the platinum wash of $55, just to chemical wash the tyres. Told him, its fine with $55. Came back later.... The tyres were cleaned.... Gotta be careful of their up selling....

Manager Kushal did an extraordinary good job cleaning my car this afternoon, going above and beyond to take care of each and every detail matter I pointed out to him especially ensuring all the glass windows were spotless plus the tyre rims.

Customer service was fine and done in a good time but the quality of work was below average in the interior of the car. Probably would save my money and do it myself next time or try somewhere else.

Wouldn’t recommend the car detailing service. Paying $130 for a more detailed cleaning service. My 6yr old could of done a better job. The most basic of cleaning area of the floor was left filthy.

At least I get what I paid for. Didn’t vacuum interior carefully, not even close the cup holders cover to clean till I check it. And try to extra charge a small amount while I pay on eftpos.

Really a terrible car wash, I was charged $200 for my car and told that all the details would be cleaned, but none of my seats were cleaned at all and even rubbish was left on them.

Underwhelmed. $70 car wash - when queried as to why the mudflaps were bone dry and still dirty, was advised only the sides of the vehicle gets washed, not that area. Disappointed.
