I have been a regular from the past few years and have had a lot of great moments at this casino. Great place and the staff here is wonderful. Great wins and losses go hand in hand. However, today (Feb 11) I had an encounter with a rude and obnoxious pit boss. I simply asked her to scan my players card, which she full out refused and started to go off on me with a lot of attitude. The girl working at the roulette table tried to warn her (pit boss) that I am a high roller at this casino. However, this pit boss continued to just give more and more attitude and kept on refusing to scan my players card. When her (pit boss's) voice raised, I put my foot down and I was not going to stand it any longer, so I turned in my players card to her (pit boss) and walked out. I informed them that I will find another casino and take my cash else where. To those visiting or planning to visit this casino, this is just one off incident. Trust me, the entire staff at this casino is amazing. However, one bad apple just left a very bad taste in my mouth and I surely will not be returning! In my excursion to the great white north of Edmonton, I found myself within the sprawling confines of the West Edmonton Mall. Though touted as a "Mall of America on steroids," I found a lot of interesting retailers amid the sea of capitalism and a food court with every single chain restaurant I could imagine. Interestingly, tucked away on the third level, one establishment managed to pique my interest even more- the Starlight Casino. Stepping through the doors, I was immediately struck by the sheer scale of the Vegas gaming floor. Over 2,000 slot machines stood blinking and beckoning, more than I've seen except maybe Vegas. I spotted various denizens hunched over, feeding their vices in the flickering light. Elsewhere, poker and blackjack tables operated at a frenzied pace. The clinking of chips and whirring of wheels provided a constant cacophonous soundtrack. After one hours on the floor and two hour of blackjack, I had seen enough to render my verdict. The Starlight Casino is a surprising oasis in an otherwise dreary shopping Mecca. It offers big-city entertainment and energy without the big-city prices or pretense. While it may lack the intimacy of boutique casinos of Monico, for value and volume, it satisfies.

I went with my parents today and the staff on the bar (3 ladies) During the day were awful, talked to me like I was stupid when ordering a coffee and criticizing me in front of us. Even if I ordered something wrong there are ways to treat the customers and explain what is available, talking about experience working in customer service and restaurants industry. My parents barely speak english and even they realized how sassy they were with such a bad attitude. The only nice lady was the one on guest services. Such a different vibe with the evening staff, way nicer. I just ordered water and they even smiled and were so friendly. Out of all the casinos I have ever been, this is my least favorite...

Me and my boyfriend wanted to try Chow Noodle Bar to have their food we had to order at Nova Bar on the other side of the Casino. It took 15 minutes to get acknowledged from our server.I ordered two noodle dishes and potstickers we were waiting 45 minutes and didn’t get anything.Our food was most likely sitting at the noodle bar getting cold.We then decided to leave.They were quick to clear our drinks off the table like it happens all the time.Terrible service won’t be back to Nova Bar. Update: I emailed Joel Nelson no reply back they don’t really care.

Of all the casinos I have ever visited, this one is definietly one of my least favorites. There were plenty of fun machines to play, contents to enter, and a kiosk that allowed you to sign up for your Loyalty rewards Card. There was quite a few poeple inside the casino each night I went there, making it feel a little clastrophobic.

Haven't been here since before Covid so was surprised to find the buffet in the foyer area is closed. It was great to go there for brunch. The customer service crew is always amazing as we had to replace our cards and they helped us with no issues. Will definitely be heading back to check it out more.

Not very big, but Very nice casino, one of the best in Edmonton. It's attached to the mall with a very nice entrance, people are nice, all the machines look new and the tables are nice. The dealers are super friendly, which makes the entire experience more comfortable. I recommend this Casino.

Games are ok, would like to have seen more selection. It is very quiet for a casino which can be good for some people but I prefer the noise and fun sounds. It l ooks run down, mainly because of the carpet. It gives a bad first impression when the carpet looks like it's never been cleaned.

Not a fan of the slot machines, I asked attendant for a few of my favourite games and they did not have. Will not go again to play. However!! The food was amazing, cheap, and the drinks were good and the bar tender was amazing. That is the reason I will go back.

Love The Buffet, and the most important is FAMILY AND KIDS FRIENDLY, the food was really tasty for an excellent price, the staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful, lots of room and tables. Definitely coming back with the kids and recommending to friends!

The server in the Nova bar named Charlene should not be dealing customers . She is so rude and constantly trashing management and throwing temper tantrum’s in front of customers.. Don't dare not tip her cuz she will make her displeasure known .

The new Atlas Steak + Fish in Starlight Casino is a fantastic addition to WEM and the west side restaurant scene. A modern fine dining establishment, the menu has been carefully curated to satisfy. The Lobster Bisque is delicately smoky,

The bald bartender was on a power trip and extremely rude. Terrible casino with rude staff. I walked up to the bar wanting to get a beer so I could sip on it while I spent some money and the first thing the bartender says is he isn't

Our experience was amazing! Absolutely loved our bartender John! So friendly, quick service, and makes an awesome Caesar! So much fun coming here and would definitely recommend to a friend. 10/10 ! Thanks for a great time!

Atmosphere was very quiet and chill. Concierge were very kind and helpful. Customer service was great. I couldn't find anything to complain about if I tried. 4 stars because the casino took my money. Haha. I will be back.

Really beautiful inside. Set up is pretty easy to navigate and it's very welcoming. Games are good though I do miss having actual dealers to deal your cards to you if you don't just want to play slots exclusively.

Starlight is a smaller Casino inside of WEM. Their floor has a good selection of Slots, Table Games and Video/Auto Roulette and Blackjack. Be sure to check out the Nova Bar, as they have great food and drinks!

Being a VIP Host I love travelling and always seeing what's new in the city. I was in complete awe with the new setup and enjoyed my experiences here. Can't wait til they're finished! 5 Stars * * * * *

This was my first visit. The bartender was great and made me delicious Tom Collins. Very clean casino with lots of open machine and tables. I was hoping to eat at the buffet but it wasn't running.

The first red flag should be how empty this casino is. It's connected to the mall, so you'd expect at least some people to come in. Below are the details that I noticed from my experience:

It was a pleasure to be interviewed by the Food & Beverage Manager; he was knowledgeable & understood the depth of my wisdom, without explanation he knew exactly what I was looking for.

I felt dirty just walking into the place. The carpets were worn and dirty. The entire atmosphere felt like I was in a back room of a back alley casino.

Stunning music and musicianship from The Million Dollar Dreamers. Great for dancing or just listening. Good food presented well. Beautiful venue too.

Atlas and their Thu seafood special did not disappoint! Thoroughly enjoyed a birthday dinner in their private room and the service was impeccable!

They don't have drinks menu, but they do offer the happy hour drinks that are high balls, for $4.50 until 7pm. I got a margarita for $9.50.

Great burgers! Reminds me of Red Robin's Burgers. Best I've had in a long time! The staff is very friendly, and the service is great!
