I can’t give a review on any finished product due to the South Carolina rep not returning phone calls. Beginning in March our home started having a terrible roof leak. With this being the first time my wife or I had experienced this problem we had no idea where to go or who to talk to. That’s when I did a “Angi’s” search and I was contacted by Joanne. I informed her of our problems and was scheduled a date/time to meet with a Greenville rep, Chad. I met with Chad for the first time and went over the roof problems and where the rain water was leaking into our son’s room. He spoke about what could be done and how to go about doing it. I agreed with using Steele and before leaving he informed me that he would be sending me over a form to sign so Steele could speak with my insurance company on my behalf. Two weeks went by and still had no form to sign. Meanwhile, I had insurance inspectors coming to our house and had no guidance like Chad advised I would. He mentioned several times to call him when inspectors were coming out so he or another rep could come out and meet with them…never answered when I called. Fast forward to June, our insurance company mailed a check for a small fraction of what Chad quoted us on fixing the damages. I began speaking with Joanne again and explained the problem of communication and how the insurance company mailed a check and said good luck. I explained Chad informed me on the first meeting he would email me a form to sign for insurance purposes and how I never received it. She apologized and said she was going to send Chad back out and “we” could try to fight our insurance company and challenge the payout they had sent. I agreed and she emailed over the form, that Chad should have emailed to begin with. Once again, Joanne scheduled a date/time for Chad to come back out for another inspection. That date and time came and Chad was a no-show. There wasn’t even a courtesy call apologizing. This happened several more times. I was informed Chad had some personal issues he had to take care of and my wife and I were extremely understanding. Chad finally came back to the house and took more pictures and advised, while sitting in his truck, that we would have a report completed by the next evening and that he would be informing Joanne to “ expedite” our situation…due to a roof still leaking over an extended period of time. Several days went by and still had not heard from anyone at Steele. I had to call Joanne where I had to explain Chad’s visit. She informed me that Chad has not completed any reports and she has not spoken to Chad. Over the last several weeks I have had to call and ask for updates. Every time I call I also have to explain my situation because Joanne cannot seem to remember what I have going on. My last contact was an email sent from their “program” from Chad asking a good time for him to call and go over the report with me. That email was sent on July 7, 2023 at 3:08 PM. I replied to the email on July 8, 2023 at 8:11 AM — I am still waiting on my phone call as of July 14, 2023. This is the worst communication and customer service ever. If you don’t want to do the job then tell the customer so they can move on and locate another company to work with. If a person is the only one in the Greenville area, and they have 30+ projects they are managing, maybe look at hiring one or two more individuals they can help run the Greenville locations. Also, it seems there is a huge lack of communication from SC back to NC where everything is ran. I feel this is professionally unacceptable. If you tell someone you’re going to do this or do that, you stand on it.

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE! I watched this company do 3 roofs on my street and thought that they were very efficient. But when they did my roof, they caused damage to a dormer and the acting supervisor told me they would pay for the repair. They owner of the company hasn't ever showed up for follow up visits or inspection. Even when the office (Joanne) scheduled an appointment with me. They would send someone else. After the roof was done, I picked up over 300 nails and debris around my yard and even found beer bottle caps. Who drinks beer and then gets up on a steep roof to work? Their office (Joanne) kept telling me they they were the premier roofing crew around. None of them spoke english, making communication impossible. Roof replacement was $23,201.51. Repair was for $685.00. If you use this company, you better learn spanish and don't take anything that they tell you as gospel truth. They don't stand behind their work or what their workers tell you. A $685.00 repair for damage they caused isn't a lot to ask for. The dormer was in perfect condition before they did the job and nobody brought it to my attention afterward. When we noticed it they said to send them the invoice and they would take care of it. But then they changed their minds and said the damage was before they did the roof. Not true! I recommended this company to my neighbors and they got business from my recommendations. And then they argued with me over $685.00. Unbelievable! I would not recommend this company now to anyone. There are plenty of reputable companies that would be a pleasure to work with and this was definitely not one of them.

A piece of drip edge over the rake board on one side of the house came loose, dangling by one end. The soffit box next to the chimney had come completely loose. The roof flashing and some shingles were damaged when the chimney was leveled. We contacted several companies to make repairs. One came out and said he could do the work but never offered a quote on the repairs. He only talked about getting the entire roof replaced thru insurance due to weather damage. Greg with Steele Restoration came out. He actually climbed up on the roof and inspected the entire roof. He said that he did not believe insurance would pay for it due to no evidence of severe weather damage, even though the roof was 17 years old. Greg was prompt with giving a quote for the repairs. Because we had 2 different opinions, we contacted our insurance company and they brought out a licensed inspector. Without knowing what Greg had advised, the inspector concurred with Greg's findings. We then requested instead of just repairs to get a quote for the entire roof replacement, including removing an attic fan and installing a new ridge vent, as well as the repairs that needed to be done. We were impressed by the timeliness of Steel Restoration's response. A week after authorizing the work, a crew came out and performed the entire roof replacement and repairs that we had requested in just one day. I highly recommend this company for new roofs and/or roof repairs. Check this company out on the GAF official web site. He is certified as a Master Elite Roofer with GAF.

Went to home advisor to see out reputable companies to look at roof and get an estimate for soffit/decking replacement for my mother's home. Got a call from Joanne to set up an appt. for a representative to come an give us an estimate. He arrived on time and I explained what we were looking to repair. After his inspection he pointed out some portions of the roof needed repair as well. Without submitting an estimate requested my elderly mother to sign a contract. She expressed at that time we would be getting other estimates. Needless to say, he forwarded me an email with her e-signature that if approved by insurance she would be locked into a contract with this company. I immediately responded stating we did not agree with said contract. The next morning I contacted Joanne to express my concerns and she got combative and said a claim had already been submitted to the insurance company and hung up on me! We have contacted our insurance company to block any claims submitted by this company and have sent written confirmation to cancel the contract. Their contract did state you have 5 days to cancel. Women and elderly please be cautious when using this so called company!

In March of 2021 our Concord neighborhood was hit by a hail storm. Roofing companies descended on the entire area like locust. We had the good fortune to meet Greg Steele and had him inspect our roof. He advised us that the roof was indeed damaged and in need of replacement. He worked directly with our insurance company and took care of all the details. Joanne in his office was really helpful in answering questions as they came up and was a great resource for us. His crew came out and did an outstanding job of replacing our roof. In the course of 1 day they ripped the old roof off and installed the new one. They did a great job of cleaning up after the job was done. About a week later his gutter crew showed up and replaced all the gutters and down spouts. They too did an outstanding job and went as far as to reattach the fascia boards that in some areas were coming loose from the rafters. All in all, his crews did a great job and we have received several compliments from our neighbors on how good the new roof and gutters look. We highly recommend Steele Restoration. They were on time, very professional and in every case went above and beyond our expectations.

I needed existing gutters replaced; Greg (owner) from Steele Restoration was very responsive to my request for quote. He rearranged his schedule to come to my home since my work schedule left a very tight window for us to meet. After considering three other quotes, I decided to go with Steele - based on price and warranty; and I’m glad I did. The installation crew was punctual and professional. They met with me to address any pre-installation concerns I had and really listened to me. They completed the installation quickly and efficiently; taking extra care to ensure that my concerns were addressed and that I happy with the install. The inspected all of my facia board as they removed the old gutters. They cleaned up everything (taking away the old gutters) even addressed a minor flaw in a portion of my facia board that was not a part of the installation. A few days afterward, Greg came by to check with me and make sure that I was satisfied with the look, fit, and finish of the gutters (I was!). The quality, price, and excellent customer service is what makes me pleased to give them a 5 star rating.

My wife and I needed the roof replaced on our sunroom, and an area on the front of our house fixed, due to a small leak. After one place came out, and just ignored me, concerning even giving me an estimate, and another place charging alot to fix the problem areas. I called Steele Restoration. Greg gave me a quick response to the estimate, and he answered any of my questions in a timely matter. Joanne in the office is super great, and was very helpful, with any questions that I had. The crew did a great job fixing the leak area, and the replacing the roof on the sunroom. In the future, if we ever need any work done concerning our roof, we are calling Steele Restoration, and I highly recommend that anyone else should as well.

Had an inspector tell me that my roof only needed a small repair, not a new roof. Several roofing companies turned down the job, stating that they were not interested in doing "small" repairs. I then found Steele Restoration. They came out prepared to do the "small" repair, but after looking at my roof,, found things that the insurance inspector missed and encouraged me to request a re-inspection and i Idid. So glad that I did. The roof was re-inspected and the claim approved. The Steele company was prompt in getting started, showed up when promised, completed the work in a day and a half and left my property looking as if no one had ever been there. My roof is beautiful. I could not be happier!

We asked them to repair an overhang. It's been 5 month after giving them a deposit. No work done and we asked for our money back. Sitting on 2 months with nothing. It's a small enough amount that it's not worth getting a lawyer and they probably know it. Stay away from these scammers. Worst contractor we have used. Edit: Surprised? I can post the dates of all the emails. Often waiting over a week for a response. Being promised our money would be returned multiple times, that it was in the mail, etc. NOTHING happened till I posted this review, then all of a sudden we had a check a couple days later. Nice try, but you dropped the ball hard.

I had some major damage to my home offer some storms last year. I had a horrible time with the first contractor and had to locate another. I found Steele Restoration and they were the perfect ones for the job. With a public adjuster background they were able to locate errors in the original estimate from the insurance company. The repairs were done pretty quick considering there were some snowy days. I have recommended this company to all of my friends who own for their repairs and work. Very professional and knowledgeable; which is the best combination in my opinion.

Steele Restoration did siding work on our house. A friend referred them and things went smoothly. They weren’t the cheapest among the estimates we received but we went with them because of the referral and you could just tell they run a tight ship by the way they communicate / their attitude / attention to detail. They did a really nice job - no surprises and things looked very precise and clean. I would definitely use them again and have been referring them around. Good to see a good company doing well ....not always a given in the construction business.

Greg helped us at our previous home so it was a no brainer to reach out to him again for our new to us home. While he was quoting a few repairs, he climbed on the roof and fixed a few shingles. He was not going to charge us! It is so rare for someone to do something out of the kindness these days. We did pay him but I am sure it was not even close to what he would have charged. We got a recommendation to use Greg and his team from a friend. I'm glad we did. There was no faff or fluff. He straight up told us what we needed and didn't try to upsell drip edge or certain products like other companies we went to. His price was fair and what we expected for what was needed. His team were efficient and worked very hard. They cleaned up afterwards and went above and beyond to repair a rotted piece of window ledge for us. They also cleaned out our gutters! This is a 2 month update. No more leaks!

We have been needing siding on our house repaired and painted for quite some time. Steele Restoration did an excellent job repairing and painting our siding. Also, while inspecting our siding for the job, they also inspected our roof for us (we asked them too) and found that we could get a new roof installed, which they did. They performed above and beyond what we expected and will not hesitate contacting them again in the future if we need anything else done. Absolute excellent service!!

I'm very pleased with Steele Restoration. I called thinking I needed my sliding patio door replaced and they sent seomone over quickly to evaluate the problem. He was able to fix the existing door even after several other qualified people were not able to. I am thrilled that they fixed the door, saving me thousands of dollars! I will be calling Steele Restoration again in the future when I need any repairs!

Greg was prompt and professional. He was knowledgeable and honest, he told us our roof had years of remaining life. Because of his honesty and knowledge we hired Greg to repair squirrel damage to our daughter's roof. Greg sent Alex to install flashing, shingle and caulk damaged boards, again arrived as agreed and completed work professionally. We will hire Steel Restoration for all our future roofing needs.

They replaced my roof in two days. They boarded up windows to protect the glass. They also protected flowerbeds with tarps. A dumpster was parked on my driveway to store shingles and other wastes. At the end of the day, they cleaned up the yard so it's not messy. When the job was finished, they used a big magnet to clean up the nails on the driveway and flowerbeds as much as possible. Good job!

Outstanding!!! Job completed as promised. Posted on home advisor late on a Monday night. Received a call first thing Tuesday morning. They were able to come and give a quote within a few hours. Since this job was not an emergency. They were at our house first thing the following morning. They charged exactly as quoted and it was very reasonable. Would highly recommend this roofing company.

Daniel Buchanan came by for the estimate. He took his time to make things better because it was going to rain before he could do the work. This was before he had a contract. That's care and professionalism. I wish everyone would have that concern. The estimate was about a hundred dollars over another estimate. Care, concern and professionalism got the contract.
