Came here Saturday night 5th August 2023, 3 diners. One meal was a porterhouse and the other two were a seafood pasta dish. We don’t go out for dinner often but it was a special occasion as we were celebrating a milestone birthday for a close friend. It was the first decent pub meal I’ve had for a very long time. The staff were super friendly and I though the man behind the bar had exceptional customer service and I was happy to have a chat to an old timer like me. We ate in the backroom which was lovely and open with lots of greenery. The pub itself is very clean and welcoming. A fantastic old pub, with great staff that serves good bistro food. The staff look after their patrons.

I strongly urge against dining here. If I could give a zero rating, I would. Our dinner experience was a complete disaster – the food was stone cold, not as described on the menu, and all meals, including kids' meals, took over an hour. When we requested to speak to the owner, we were met with mere apologies and no resolution. The owner refused to provide a refund for our extremely disappointing and dissatisfying customer experience. We will never return, and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Our party of four arrived on quite a balmy night. We were able to find a table and I liked the set up as the pub had a nice cozy feel to it. Everyone on the table enjoyed their food, including myself. From the garlic bread and oysters for entree to the main meals, the food was good pub/bistro food. The service was also rather prompt with orders taken quickly and a we got a warning the kitchen was busy that night. Which was fair enough and we appreciated the heads up.

Please be warned, the 5 star reviews would have to be fake given our experience. The absolute worst meal I've ever had. It was not even worth eating. Everyone's meals were so awful. I tasted my husband's potatoes and had to spit it in my napkin. The one star was for the good service from the young man waiting our table. Otherwise I would give 0 if I could. Gordon Ramsay would definitely have a field day here. Absolutely appalling.

Quite a nice hotel on top of a pub. The building is old, in a good way. It has a historic feel to it. The room was good, equipped with a proper modern bathroom and good shower. Decent wifi, fridge, furniture, and everything else you'd expect was present. My only complaint was that there could have been more pillows on the bed, and the bed overall could have been a bit more comfortable. Otherwise its a good place to stay.

My partner and I had dinner in the bistro on Sunday the 7th of January. I was first concerned when I heard abusive yelling from the kitchen but it was nothing compared to the meals we received. I had the goat with mash and my partner had crumbed fish. I can honestly say they were the worst meals we have ever had. Don't go there.

Went to the restaurant and was very disappointed with the meals. Ordered the pork roast. The meat was like cardboard and couldn’t eat it. So I paid $29 for s few veggies and two overcooked potatoes. My friend ordered the beef lasagne and got the vegetarian one. Complained but no one took any notice. Won’t be going back there.

The food in the bistro horrible, the total price is insanely expensive. never coming here again and don’t recommend you do either. staff are crazy rude when we tried to explain it the drinks were incorrect, LEARN HOW TO COOK ASWELL. Very nice atmosphere and staff. The food was very good bistro food with a great choice of menu items. The atmosphere is family friendly and gives a positive vibe. The service was also quick and we did not have to wait too long for our meals.

Beautiful tasty food with good size meals with service is better than what you get at most bistros. The building was clean and well presented. We visited on a hot day and the tap beer was crisp and cold.

Slow to non-existant service, had to wait a very long time for food that was overcooked. The was only one other group eating in the restaurant at the time, so they can not have been too busy. But if they were understaffed then they should have informed us.

Called in for lunch for two, lovely outside dining area. Extensive menu, great friendly service & the food was lovely. Portion sizes are generous. Prices for food & wine are good value. Not expensive fine dining, just good old fashion hotel meals. More

We ordered steak sandwich and seafood linguine. Steak was chewy and served in between white toast which looked like it was made by a child. Waiting staff didn’t bring out any cutlery and refused to bring water to the table.

This pub has a great community feel to it. I personally loved my fish and chips, the meal came with lots of chips and the batter was golden brown. Good food and friendly people.

My boyfriend and I were keen for a weekend getaway but didn't want to spend a small fortune. We stumbled across Stella's as a value choice for accommodation as it ticked all of our boxes with the beach being literally across the street.

The steak was nice and tender with a decent serving of sides included. Chips cooked to perfection and came out hot. We stayed for an extra drink at the bar as it was a relaxing place. We never felt staff were trying to hurry us up.

Three of us enjoyed our meals and appreciated the reasonable prices. My spaghetti was nice and the steak was also reportedly good too. It looked like my friend got lots of sides with his steak.

Stella's is a warm and welcoming pub. I had the calamari and my friend and the chicken schnitzel. Both meals were great and came out in a reasonable timeframe. Friendly service too. More

Good clientele at the front bar and was not too rough. The bartender was good at his job, he balanced being friendly and chatty but was not slow at serving drinks. I will be going back.

Meals took over an hour to arrive. I have never seen lasagne served in a bowl and a soup spoon to eat with. One fish meal was good, however most guests wouldn't return again
