Just wish their food would taste the same.. You could order greens one day they're not too spicy and tolerable..You can order some the next day or so and they are too spicy to eat..Their yams used to be my favorite item to get because they tasted like no other restaurants..(taste like they are baked, sweetened with just right with butter, sugar...now they used to)...Not anymore...You barely get enough sides now for 3 bites so don't even think about sharing..My son likes their juice..he orders it by the gallon..but for me...Time for me to put this restaurant back on pause like I did in 2014..I gave them another try in 2022...they started off Wonderful and Nmow they are in Time Out...this time I don't know if they be coming out!!!...I PRAY they do...$$

Me and my family went here today to order takeout to eat we got beef tips over rice mac & cheese broccoli and cheese catfish with mac & cheese green beans chicken tenders with mac & cheese and cabbage each dinner came with some delicious cornbread I want to tell you that this food was outstanding the fish was crispy crunchy yet will season them flaky on the inside The beef tips over rice the beef was tender flavorful the seasoning was all on point the chicken tenders were crispy crunchy and fried to juicy tenderness the mac & cheese was very cheesy homemade delicious we also got three orders of peach cobbler that was amazing. We will definitely go here again also it is a clean restaurant with great customer service the whole operation runs smoothly Change yourself when you go to Fort Worth go to Stormie Monday’s café. I placed a phone order on a Sunday I had to call 3xs line was busy because I’m sure Sunday is one of their busiest days. They open at 11 an my call was answered by 11:07 . I ordered the chicken fried chicken for my husband an for my self the beef tips an rice with black eye peas an the broccoli casserole!! An I have been craving fried fish for some time now so I got 2pc by themselves, oh yeah I’m pregnant so needless to say my expectations are on another level! An were totally met!! As soon as I took a bite out that fish I was in heaven I was so happy to say the least! It’s my second time trying Stormie Monday an I WILL BE BACK AGAIN!!! Those ox tails calling my name! I will let you all know how great those turn out! The amounts are generous an the staff is very friendly. I recommend you try them out!

I really wanted to love this place, especially being a pretty good cook from Houston, but I was a bit disappointed in my meal. The oxtails were too expensive for them to be half meat and half fat, I filled half of the plate it came in with fat, it blew me away. The mashed potatoes were too seasoned and the greens didn’t have enough seasoning, I was confused, but the koolaid was good lol. Respectfully, I’d be willing to potentially try another entree, but when you’re use to having the best of the best, you hate being disappointed. Two stars for the delicious koolaid..

I've heard a lot about this place so I went to check it out for myself. I got the meatloaf, Mac and cheese, greens and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was good , but , it was sweet which I wasn't expecting, the mashed potatoes were ok and the Mac and cheese was watery with very little flavor and the greens tasted old. My son got the beef tips w/rice , fries and sweet potatoes. He said his food was "ok" . I don't feel it lives up to the hype. It's average at best. The service was good and the staff were very friendly though. The Kool aid was sweet and definitely hit the spot!

Fantastic meatloaf and chicken fried chicken . Everyone there was raving about the catfish but I unfortunately have an allergen, but I can only imagine the magic because what we had was delicious. This place is AWESOME! Decided to try it as we were in the mood for some down home cooking. I had the smothered pork chops with sweet potatoes and cabbage. Two huge pork chops and plenty of food for lunch and dinner. I also thought their prices were good too. My daughter had the fish and they give you 4 pieces on the plate and it taste like they just stepped out back and caught it. Kids had chicken & waffles and loved it. Four big chicken tenders and a huge waffle. The people there were very friendly and service was good. Well definitely be going again.

We order a banana pudding realized their wasn't any banana in it. The young lady only showed great friendly service to the people she knew. The customer at the table was more friendly then the service. The green beans tasted fresh out of a can no flavor. So I guess it depends on the day you go any the time. I didn't feel the Love in the food. Don't just let it just be a job let it be an enjoyment and a whole lot of love.

OK. Now I was just in the neighborhood and was hungry and stumbled onto this fine jewel. If you haven’t been here you owe it to yourself. They cater too and literally EVERYTHING is REALLY GOOD. They let me taste...but I had the catfish with yams and dressing OMG Becky...off the chizain for realz for realz... they knew it was my first time. They gave me extra fish and a free drink. Now I didn’t even ask for a military discount. Bill was $12. Needless to say, I left a $20 in the tip jar. These people know a little somn bout business!!!

The salad was great! I really enjoyed it. The restaurant was a cool place to sit and enjoy. The customer service wasn't the best. I like to be greeted when I go into places but the food made up for it. The lemonade was too sweet for me. Overall I'll be back to try other items. I went back and I was so glad I did. I've never had less than a 5 star experience. I feel so welcome when I come. The food is ALWAYS on point. When I don't want to cook and want a home cooked meal...this is the place. My fav is the oxtails, yams, greens and cornbread. The food is always hot and fresh..flavored well without the saltiness which is the hallmark of someone that really knows how to prepare good soul food!! Thank you to this family for all they give to the community.

Today was my first time here. I ordered the stuffed baked potato. It was delicious. I will definitely order it again. However, I only gave it 3 stars because after I ordered sever people that ordered after me received their orders before I did. I didn’t think that was very good business. Sunday April 25 2021. I didn't feel like cooking because I worked that day. So I decided for a real good home cooking meal. Stormie came to mind. I ordered 2 Loaded Baked Potato and Oxtails with Cabbage and Yams.. 2 Banana Pudding. I called in , but when I got there ??? Man oh man the cars so I had to wait about 30 to 45 minutes.. But it was worth the wait.. 5 stars. Nice, Clean and Awesome Staff..

Did they close down I went this Saturday at 5:00 and no one was there. There wasn’t any signage saying if they were having repairs or if they changed locations. I called several times before but no answer, but I figured it was because they were busy like usual. It’s disappointing because it’s a great restaurant hopefully the doors open again.

I can't believe it's taken me so long to try this place, everything we had was absolutely delicious! We tried the oxtails, chicken fried steak, black eyed peas, collard greens, Mac n cheese, and banana pudding. The food is fresh, the seasonings are balanced, the portions are generous. I feel like I just ate at my grandma's house after she spent all day cooking for the family.

My father and sister been coming here since 2013.. Best soul food in DFW.. I even lied to ma granny, and told her "I ate already", just to have space for Stormie Mondays. This is a ten dollar meal. 2 Fried catfish, yams, and dressing. Drinks are good too. You just gotta gotta come, its a chilled atmosphere, laid back. Music tv, its about to my sunday tradition after church.

I had smothered pork chops, candied yams, broccoli and cheese rice with corn bread. The pork chops gravy was runny and they needed to be simmered a bit longer. Everything else was really good. I would definitely go back.

Love the food! But the young lady with the dred locks gold on the tip of her locks she is very rude. Her attitude makes me want to never come back. Really wish she would do better. I know she can. My fiance & I love this place. It's part of our routine to go every Friday (because i don't cook on Fridays). The food is great you get plenty, enough for leftovers. The staff is great as well learns their customers on 1st visits, & remembers their names. We have been talking to them about catering our wedding.

The first picture is the Big Chef Salad with Grilled and Fried Chicken. The second picture is the Smothered Pork Chops with Yams, Cabbage and cornbread Both were filling and very good! Lastly, the Banana Pudding, not homemade, no bananas, just layers of vanilla wafers with pudding. Not to our liking!

OMGOSH!! The food is so AMAZING! I'm really big on customer service and they are on point! I've had oxtails, fried and smothered pork chops as well as the meatloaf. I don't do meatloaf but baby it was delicious. Definitely a hidden gem in Fort Worth. A customer for life!!

Decided to try this spot due to my normal soul food stop being closed. Customer service was good, prices are not to expensive. The food was ok, the rice broc, Mac and cheese were too salty and the baked chicken and smothered pork chops were bland.

The whole catfish basket wasn’t cooked well that’s not salad it’s lettuce with mayonnaise on it the fries wasn’t fries there woke potatoes cut in slices and very hard the fish was also greasy and wet COOK AT HOME THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's basically a hole in the wall, but the soul food was excellent! The plates are large, and you will definitely get full. The price was reasonable. Make sure you put water in your drinking cup because you will be mixing it with the drinks

I ordered the beef tips and rice....I got the meatloaf. It was so think and tough I needed a steak knife to cut it. Normally I love this place but drove all the way from south Arlington to get it and got home to disappointment.

Fire oxtails! Not sure whose grandma is in the back cooking from those pots she used to feed her family of 10 but bless her soul!!! Real southern cooking with loads of flavor!! Takes me back to my little hometown in Louisiana.

The food was great I haven't tried their other desserts or anything of fish or the other foods that they supply on their menu but the portion that I have was pretty pricey which oxtails are at this time but they were good

The building is clean and larger than I expected. The service was quick, mask are required but some of the staff did not wear them. No signs were posted that I saw to stay 6 ft apart. Most people were social distancing.

Very very good food. Best cornbread in the world. So glad we tried this place. It not like normal restaurant food. This is home cooking!

It was horrible disgusting!!! Catfish was over cook and the pinto beans were spoiled the fries were not cook !! Mash potatoes had a weird taste. I paid $21 for food that was disgusting!! Everything was gross.

Ordered my usual oxtails. The only thing is everytime I get them they taste a little different but good. I would love them with some rice. I suggest you order before you go so you can quickly pick it up.

Had the ox trail, collard greens, and yams. Peach cobbler for dessert. Portions are huge and you get your monies worth. Everything was very tasty!

The food is wonderful and a must when I visit from Atlanta. I LOVE the Stormie cheeseburger!!! I have to share it as it comes with two pieces of meat and potatoes wedges which taste GREAT!!!
