The wash was done well but the delivery service, communication and payment process was horrible. Overall not worth it, I'd save yourself the headache. Particularly for same-day. Every point of the process something else went wrong. tldr; Poor communication with me, poor communication at the shop, no offer to respect the original price I was given, or offer to compensate in a different way for the run-around. I'm extremely disappointed. I had a bit of a particular item that I needed same day (blanket I needed to use that night) so I called in and was assured that this item would be done same-day. I asked about the hand-off and they said they could bring a bag, they did not, I ended up providing one. Later that night when I didn't receive my clothes, I called back to find they had went to a different store. I called the other store, explained the situation, and they said "I must have done something wrong." I tried to just pay for the service with the link given earlier and it didn't work, asked for them to just resend it and was told no, then my card was put in wrong, I just decided to call it a night. When I got up the next morning, I realized there was another text with a new price, apparently there had been an added charge and when I called again about this I was met with the same attitude. At any point this could have been cleared up, or simply easier, and it wasn't. I really try to not leave bad reviews but I was searching for a good trustworthy spot and would have appreciated a bit of a warning to not choose this place if I needed anything handled with care or done same-day. EDIT: The below response is misleading. My order was not delivered the same day and they were only attentive after this review was posted. Hope this gets solved in the future.

The washers do not fill up with water. I used a $3.25 washer (+$1 for an extra wash and rinse). A little bit of water and suds came into the washer and there was no additional water in the machine. I waited five minutes thinking there would be another run of water but there was not. I let the attendant know and she said she’d let the owner know. Ten minutes later the owner comes in, looks at the machine and the ones next to it and asked if I had time to wash them in another machine. I said I did and waited for the first machine to complete a whole cycle. I moved my clothes to another washer and it was the exact same. The owner asks me “How’s it looking?” I respond that it looks the same and she asks if I’d like to use another washer. Of course I don’t want to waste anymore of my time. I just let my machine run. I truly don’t believe that wet clothes tumbling in a machine (without additional water) equates to washing clothes and getting them clean. I am confident in that because when I took my clothes out of the first washer they did not smell or feel clean and I’d added detergent in both wash cycles. This was a waste of time and money. Lesson learned.

Dirty!!! Dirty!! Dirty! This place has declined in service and cleanliness. Machines look as if they have not been cleaned or wiped down in months. And with covid the door handles should be wiped and sanitized at the least. There is dust on the inside and outside of the washers. I only stayed here because I didnt have time to make it to another laundromat, and needed my clothes tonight. I was cautious taking my clothes from the washer as I didn't want clean clothes to touch the dirt surrounding or fall on the dusty floor. Also another customer was complaining about the smell of the machines which I noticed also. I started coming here when they first opened it was great, very clean and friendly staff. I have been washing at a different place since August 2021... came back and it's in terrible condition. I would love to have a local laundromat to frequent but in this current condition I sadly won't be returning. Hopefully management will address this matter.

I’ve came here a total of 3 times, and hopefully never again. I only come here because it’s the second closest laundromat, as my closest closes earlier. So the hours are decently better. They have a card system that you are forced to use. It’s $3 for a card. Good if you plan on coming here a lot. Each time I’ve came I put $20 on the card. When you do a $20 bill you get a $2 bonus, but their atm only gives $10 bills. Make sure to exchange them at the counter if you get cash. The workers mean well but kind of hover over you if you’re new. It makes sense cause it’s a new system, but I personally feel a bit uncomfortable being hovered over. It’s clean. Music isn’t too bad. Clientele is respectful. Pay by the pound pickup/delivery service. You can’t drop off there and have it be delivered. Wish you could, I’d pay for it. Still starting out. Could be better.

I’ve been using the drop off service at he ENY location since this laundromat opened. The workers constantly make mistakes losing my clothes or putting other people clothes in my bag as well. I’ve have multiple situations also one with my work uniform being stolen. I paid 270+ for a pair of Gucci socks I dropped my clothes off when I got it back a sock was missing. I’ve been asking to speak to the owner nobody can contact her also the worker who washed my clothes asked me how long I had my sock’s instead of coming to a conclusion she rather argue with me I HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND LETTING THE EAST NEW YORK LOCATION WAS YOUR CLOTHES

I didn't have time to do my laundry this week and opted to try a drop off and delivery service. This was the closest y I my home and they were quick to respond to my questions. My clothes were cleaned with standard detergents (tide). Delivery was on point. Thank you Joey. FYI Better to tip in CASH. My clothes smell clean and they saved me time. I'm not sure if it's affordablefor N ongoing service for a family of 4, but I had a good experience. Thank you for a great experience from a black owned business

I highly recommend the pick-up and delivery service at the Stuy Wash N Dry. End-to-end great customer service, from extremely courteous and cordial service from Venus as she answered my numerous questions over the phone, to both pick up and delivery of personnel being beyond nice and professional. My clothes came back ahead of schedule, washed, folded and smelling like someone paid time and attention to doing a great job. After my first experience with the Stuy Wash N Dry, they've earned a repeat customer in me. Highly recommend!

Found my laundry service from now on. With other places in the past I've had bad experiences with places being hours if not days late, or getting clothes back slightly damp, etc. Stuy has ALWAYS been on time (sometimes they even offer to come early, which rocks) and not only can you pick all of your soaps, dryer sheets, etc (and thank you for offering organic ones:)) but they will come expertly organized and wrapped so putting it away takes like 10 seconds. Super happy I found you guys!

My favorite place to drop off laundry! They are so attentive to my clothes always. 2 ladies work here and both are so lovely and welcoming. After dropping off my laundry almost a week ago and having worked late nights unable to pick up, I was just able to make it at 7:57pm and she unlocked the door and let me pick up my laundry. No rush no fuss! Even took the time to show me and hand bag a pair of leather pants she didn't feel comfy putting in the dryer. 10s always for these women!!

I paid for the pick-up and drop-off service and am super thrilled with the level of service. A few highlights: owners are lovely; they offer plant-based soaps; my clothes were returned packaged by category (socks in one bag, gym shorts in another, etc.); and the service was speedy! I get my laundry picked up and dropped off once a week for about a year now, with stuy wash & dry. I’m obsessed! They are professional, prompt, clean and organized. My clothes are always smelling amazing! I love that you can choose the detergent and dryer sheets you want. Everyone is helpful and friendly when you call. One of my daughter's beaded dress had candy stains on it and I needed same day dry cleaning services, I went in and Venus offered to hand wash my daughter's dress. Not only was she courteous and professional she did an amazing job of cleaning the dress. Venus is truly a gem and honors her namesake as a goddess.

I recently moved into an apartment building without laundry and was a little disappointed. However after finding Stuy Wash N Dry has made laundry a treat. Venus is a legitimate sweetheart and every driver has been an angel! They do an impeccable job, are kind and professional and offer second to none service.

This is the first laundromat I've been to where the staff actually acknowledges you; they are courteous, and quick to assist if needed. Clean, calm environment with comfy seating. Amazing place, staff is always friendly and service is very fast. I bring all my important clothes here. One time I forgot some cash inside one of the pockets, the staff informed me and gave it to me when I picked up my clothes, but in good and kind faith, I let them keep it. Very honest business!

So INCREDIBLY HAPPY with the service and result of Stuy Wash-N-Dry!!! Venus was a life saver! We had our mattress cover and a couch cover totally stained/damaged during our move and she managed to make them look brand new!!! And she was the loveliest to deal with!!

The staff is friendly, the machines are very efficient (literally took half the time than any other laundromat I've been to), and best of all the last wash is at 7pm, but they let us in after that. I highly recommend this spot!

Great choice for pick-up and delivery laundry service in the area. Although, the hang-dry often smells a little too strongly (and not like clean laundry...) so I recommend doing delicates yourself.

the main issue is NO HOT WATER even if you have it pressed on the machine and the machines do not fill up with enough water (I fill up the machines halfway with cloths, never to the top)
