I'd have given a 2.5 if I could. The food is "Subway", which is pretty standard isn't it...if you eat subway there's no issues. It's fresh. The bread was fine. The fillings as expected. If you want Subway, they have Subway. The Sub I got was fresh, the cookies were stock standard fine, and the garlic bread snack thing was actually pretty nice. The service was perhaps a little on the slow side in comparison to other stores, but not alarmingly so. The negatives... The floor wasn't clean, and the assembly bench didn't look as though it had been cleaned/scraped down - not really HUGE red flags as the subs are prepared on paper etc...but still, disappointing. The lady I dealt with had pretty poor grasp of English, I had to make several corrections while they were making it, and was even told "what I said" once by another girl working there...yeah, it's subway...it's not complex, and I am aware of what I ordered. This kind of attitude doesn't allow improvements that are needed, to happen, does it? I don't need some kind of profuse apology or whatever, just that when I approach the matter that the staff acknowledges rather than deflect it as customer fault. The thing that kind of really got to me though...I don't know WHO's kids they were, but there were two children aged maybe 3-4 behind the counter..not in the back/office/back of house area, literally where they serve the food from. I don't know if you can properly impress upon a child of that age the importance that they don't try to grab food, put hands on benches etc. It's a safety issue for the children who could easily drop things on to themselves. I'm certain this breaks several food service and OHS rules. If you need to bring your child/ren to work, fair enough...nobody is going to hold that against you, but really...you must know that behind the counter is NOT the place for them, and you should assume control in this situation, or look at other options. All in all, an "ok" shop but their service and management is particularly half-arsed.

The staff have the worst customer service skills. I was there 23/8/21 at 1pm. The boy and girl working were so incredibly rude it was unbelievable. The boy has limited patience and was raising his voice at customers and he has an incredibly arrogant tone. He ROLLED his eyes at the man beside me as he was giving his order. The girl is incredibly short and has a terrible tone. While I and other customers were giving our orders, they were consistently talking to each other and showed a complete disinterest in actually making our food. They both made me feel uncomfortable and it's safe to say I wont be returning. I know i'm not the only person with this experience either, speaking to others in the community. To the owner, please give your staff a lesson on how to greet and speak to customers. Yelling and rolling eyes at customers with a consistent rude tone isn't going to get returning customers.

However the last 2 times I’ve ordered they have been terrible! I’m watching the lady making it, 1 tiny slice of ham, bulked out with lettuce that was looking quite yellow, & I look at the tomatoes mostly all end bits, also looking like yesterday’s tomato, I’m thinking don’t give me end bits, but of course that’s what I get. Actually most of the fresh stuff looked like it was a few days old! I realized when I took my first bite that yes it was just horrible again for the second time. I had to throw it out! What a waste of $7.25 for quite a simple roll! Come on Subway Berowra get Fresh!

It’s your average Subway, with some disadvantages. I love the interior of the front of the shop up to the hallway. It has that classic Subway style to it, and I love it! The shop overall is due for a renovation. The floor is grotty, the bathroom’s a mess, there is no soap available either. And this isn’t good during COVID 19. The shop is basically a shed on stilts. It’s due for a knock down, rebuild. The staff have quite poor communication skills. I was having difficulty hearing the time I was there. So it was very hard to get my order through. There was also quite strong pressure to hurry me up when I’m looking for what I wanna order. The staff just don’t want to be there. The food is average, not the best. But not bad. Overall, unless if it’s an emergency. Don’t come.

Very unprofessional customer service. We visited at a very quiet time, we were trying to figure out items and English is not my first language. However, the waiter seemed very annoyed and looked down at us. He also he smiled in a very sarcastic way when I said the vegie wrong. The lady next him then supported him and both are rude. I have been in Australia for 7 years, this is not my day one there. I can tell his thoughts by reading his facial expressions.BTW he is not a native English speaker, how funny! Very sad to have such an awful experience.

Terrible service from the Indian lady there wouldn’t recommended going anywhere near this subway first was no bread she was giving me dirty looks she was angry just made me feel like I wasn’t allowed in the shop. Terrible customer service.. just don’t go to work if you aren’t happy with the job don’t take it out on customers and ruin there day. Most subways are careful with not spilling non vegetarian foods on salads. Here there was no care to respect the options. The staff seemed very confused when asked to keeps things separate. It also doesn’t taste fresh like other subways. Am not going to return there. It seems very annoying to keep telling not to mix these items.

I was served by a lady with an extremely long ponytail who was not wearing a uniform. Her ponytail was not in a hair net or a hat - just hanging out over all the food! If that's the level of food hygiene they display in front of customers I don't even want to think about what goes on in the store room... In addition, the meat was in a container that still had icicles in it from being defrosted, my foot long sandwich was not cut in half, the bread was stale, and they served some guy who wasn't even in the queue before they served me. I will not be going back here.

If I could give no stars I would. The young staff on Friday night, have no manners and stand around like they are gods gift to the world. The trading hours of this establishment clearly state 8am-8pm. If people knew you actually meant 8 am sort of to 715ish people would have no problem but bypass the horrendous establishment. I'll make sure I will give this place a wide berth in the future. Maybe after they lose all their business they will realise its them.

There are enough reviews about the general demeanour of the staff here that would tell the owner there’s a problem. They simply don’t look like they want to be there. They robotically go through the serving process without a smile and serve up the most miserly amount of salad on the rolls I’ve ever encountered. You expect a certain level of quality at a subway and this outlet simply fails to deliver.

Worst Subway experience ever. Won't be back. Staff pleasant enough but have never tasted a drier chewier roll than this - malted rye - must have been at least a couple of days old or else had been left out uncovered - simply stale and chewy - so tough I threw the roll out and just ate the filling. Didn't have time to go back and make a complaint - but Subway is a total no for me now. Never again!

Staff need to be taught basic customer service skills. The Indian ladies who work there give a very bad impression of the Indian community in the area. Extremely rude and condescending service. Would highly recommend to go elsewhere if you can. Very unfortunate and disappointing and the owner of this establishment should be aware of the poor standard with which the shop is run.

Below average and rude service. Filthy bathrooms with no soap or refill available. I have concerns with staff handling food with no soap after witnessing a staff member start their shift walk straight in and start touching food knowing there is nothing to wash thier hands with. Basic requirements with food handling. Will never again eat here.

Probably the most hopeless Subway in Sydney. Aside from poor quality sandwiches and bad customer service, they won't accept the 2 for 1 code that subway has done in conjunction with Smith's Crisps. EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A DISPLAY STAND OF SMITH'S CRISPS ON THE COUNTER!! Just go to Coles and make your own sandwiches....

Eaten there once and from previoud comments it isn't and isolated incident. Apart from the flies all over the salads, the amount of pre baked bread sitting on the bench was disgusting. The final straw was seeing little children running around behind the counter barefoot and climbing on the sandwich bar.

If you've ever been to Subway, well this is just *exactly* like that. No surprise, but they sell sandwiches drinks and cookies. Open at most convenient hours and offers a breakfast menu to boot. Staff are overworked and underpaid, but that's unskilled work for y'all.
