TIP IS NOT MEDIATORY!!! First off I would like to say that I come here all the time and I tip. I went there today to get a simple fill in. Mark was doing my nail. All he really did was remove the gel polish I had. Sunny “the owner” had to than come and actually put the acrylic on my nail. When it was time to paint my nail, Mark had asked me if I wanted to pay first. I said sure because I didn’t want my nails to get messed up. I didn’t want to tip because truthfully Mark didn’t really do anything. So when it was time to paint my nails, Sunny than came up to me and basically harassed me to tip. I felt very uncomfortable and thought that was very uncalled for. If someone does not want to tip they do not have to. Don’t harass them. He was asking me question like do I have cash. Continuously telling me to tip after I repeatedly told him no. I really had to walk out the store. One with out any polish on my nails and two feeling very disrespected. I will NEVER go back again. If you don’t want to wait 2 hours for Sunny to be done with someone else (cause he’s really the only worker there who knows how to do anything) and want to be harassed for a $5 tip I’ll advise you to go somewhere else.

To be fair, I went there two weeks ago for gel medi-pedi. It was so perfect I went back. Same gel medi-pedi different outcome. This time I had two people. One on my feet and the other on my hand. The medi was a rushed job. No hand put in solution to loosen particles under nails, no real care just remove previous polish (Somewhat) and start polishing. The young lady who did my feet was ok but not as good as the first lady. I think her name was Fran, not sure, but she alone did an amazing job with my first medi/Pedi. It's what encouraged me to return. The guy who did my nails needs to learn that the hand is part of the package and there was no care given there. Looking at my finger nails now makes me not want to ever return. I've been there a couple of times now since last post. I had Winnie yesterday and she also does an amazing job. It's people like her and Fran that keeps me returning.

I have been going to have dip powder for the last 2 years. And I have been paying 40 dollars. I have three other coworkers that use sunny nails And we all have the same service. I was there 2 weeks ago and it was 40 dollars nothing changed and then I go to have a new set and they charged 45. I asked why Elain the nail tech said nails to long. My nails were cut down to the same length 2 weeks ago. I held my hand up to sunny and her excuse was nail bed to big. Seriously. My coworker was there the day before and they did the same to her except they told her nail to long. And her nails barely over her nails. I’m over sunny and her crew making up prices as they go. I miss Michelle who was the best tech there and charged you accordingly.

I really loved the service they treated me great. You get a massage while waiting for your nails to dry. It's better to make an appointment and they have specials Monday through Wednesday. The place is clean and inviting. I can't imagine how busy they get during the summer. Overall I love my new nails. Will come back. 12/30/17 I could not be happier with their service, always welcoming and accommodating if you have to cancel appointments. (recommended making appointments it can get busy at times) I came to get my nails done for the end of the year and not only did I get a great and pleasant service but I got a complimentary lotion. I couldn't love this nail salon more. I always tell friends and family about this gem.

The worst ! I don't even waste my time doing reviews but I cannot help myself with this one. The wait was about an hour for a pedicure and when it was time to get a full set they made me queue in the back of the line saying I didn't tell them that I wanted a full set . And when I tired to figure out what was going on, no one would speak to me. When I asked A question they would just look at each other. The best way I could describe my experience was pure disappointment. The wait was so long ended up getting a ticket and still having to go somewhere else and use a different color . Never again. People have a long line I could care less about service.

The nail technician injured the finger (at the cuticle) causing it to bleed. After showing the nail technician an example of the nail art (the example was a nail found within their own catalog of designs) the design was done very poorly. A mostly red and small amount of white nail design turned into a half and half poorly done ombre. When bringing this to their attention, there was no apology for the poor service only excuses. There was absolutely no accountability. It seemed as if they wanted to argue a clear mistep on their behalf. I will no longer support this business or recommend to anyone.

Every time I've come, I'm not satisfied. Either I'm over charged or my nail get filed too low or they cut my skin by mistake or they don't paint my nails properly or they try to recycle a nail file... The list goes on. They dilute their nail polishes with polish remover. A worker lied to me and said they didn't and clearly my nails were proof enough because they were foggy and weren't drying right. I went back to get them to get them repainted only to be disappointed again. I ended up painting them myself at home.

If I could leave 0 stars I would!! First off the paint job on my nails is so thick it never dried, didn't even remove any cuticles! Don't even start me on the pedicure they didn't remove any dead skin off the heels. When I gave them my tip out of PITTY the members of salon attacked me stating that 20% is mandatory! LETS SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT TIPS ARE NOT MANDATORY, IF I LIKE THE SERVICES AND HAD MY NAILS DONE CORRECTLY I WOULD TIP GLADLY BUT NOT FOR A RUSH JOB! Don't waste your time going here UNPROFESSIONAL

I took my wife to get her nails done today and lemme tell you coming here was not worth it, for starters they cut one of her pinky nails shorter than the other one and didn’t offer to fix it. Applying the acrylic was not even and was not smooth at all. And the price to only get one color was just 70$ on its own. You would expect to be satisfied especially paying that much but my wife was not at all. Don’t come here

Sunny's nails is very calm and inviting. They are very kind and professional and the nail techs take their time with each person. This nail salon is by appointment and they adhere to the time you scheduled. Your nails come out sleek and natural especially with acrylic and powder. The ladies there can accomplish most of the styles you ask for. I honestly love it here and I've been coming here for over three years.

Today was my first time at Sunny Nail & Beauty and my eyebrow wax was perfect. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the technician but she did an amazing job. Then I was serviced by a very kind woman named, Cindy. She did a terrific job with my pedicure, manicure and 10 min back massage. I will be coming back here more often and yes, I will be requesting Cindy to take care of me. Thank you!

Sunny does great with my nails. As a nail tech she is truly amazing usually I get (SNS dipping powder) on my nails which last for a month everytime she does them. I went to another place to get my SNs done and it was horrible nails started chipping within 2 days. My nails never chips when sunny does them she is awesome !!! Also Katy is great with my pedicures ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well the last time I was there I didn’t have the best experience pedicure was done in less then 10min not sure why she was rushing since it was slow that day after the tall Asian lady in the front gave me an attitude because I was upset of how the pedicure was done. I will not be going there again! Not when I spend $120 including tip every time I would go there!

So far I’ve had my nails done by Katie and Bai! Both provide a very quiet and calm experience. I leave satisfied every time! Katie gives an amazing back rub at the end of your manicure. 10/10 and so so amazing! Everyone there has a very friendly relaxed spirit. If you want an experience where you are in and out and satisfied. This is the place for you!

first time here. Bai did my nails and she was amazing! i got a massage on my shoulders while i waited for my nails to dry and on my hands too! meticulous and very good! This is the second time I tried because of good reviews but twice I received poor service and a really poor manicure. Pedicure less than mediocre. I would except this from a mid town mid week special. But not a $30 service. This was just a polish change and not a good one

Good prices got the Mani & Pedi for only $20 (mon-wed) and the guy did a really good job cleaning my cuticles. Plus the place is clean which is important! But my nail polish chipped the next day so my advice is go there for pedicures only!

Best nail spa in the rockaways, technicians are excellent at their skills and specialty. Very friendly and clean upscale environment, Sunny is always ready to meet and greet with a smile and excellent advice and choices.
