"I'm sad to say I was quite disappointed when first entering the store, with the window display, to the lack of inventory"
"I love the Sweden Shop"
"A lovely little shop with lovely things"
"What an awesome place! Great kitchen wares & seasonal decorations! Beautiful, high quality fabrics and children's books and toys! There was also a selection of shoes, but since I wasn't in the market for shoes, I didn't pay much attention to them"
"What an adorable shop with the cutiest and unique items from Sweden and beyond"
I'm sad to say I was quite disappointed when first entering the store, with the window display, to the lack of inventory. But I need to keep in mind that the lack of inventory is probably due to the issues with Covid. I have never not been able to find something to purchase at a Swedish store! I graduated from North Park and shopped at the Sweden Shop as a student and after. From their inventory, to their beautiful window displays, to the wrapping of gifts with a cute ribbon, and let's not forget the Marzipan cake during Homecoming, this was a top notch store! I miss it.
I love the Sweden Shop. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and my son and family live in Chicago just 2 blocks away from the shop. I love the people who work there. They are super nice and friendly. Plus the shop has many lovely things to chose from. Each time I visit my son I visit the Sweden Shop at least twice if not more. Sometimes to just browse and other times to buy the chocolate. I've also purchased fabric, a purse, jewelry and kitchen items. I've always been very happy. One of my treats when I visit Chicago.
A lovely little shop with lovely things. Not a place to go for cheap things but you'll find lots of beauty. They have books, crafts, a large children's section, housewares, a wide selection of cards, fabric. They recently expanded their food and kitchenware section. It's a feast for the eyes. The staff are always friendly. A great place to go when waiting on your table at Tre Kronor.
What an awesome place! Great kitchen wares & seasonal decorations! Beautiful, high quality fabrics and children's books and toys! There was also a selection of shoes, but since I wasn't in the market for shoes, I didn't pay much attention to them. The folks who work there were very friendly and helpful. This is one of the places I love to go to when I visit Chicago.
What an adorable shop with the cutiest and unique items from Sweden and beyond. The sales lady Tanya was so friendly and knowledgeable that I left feeling like I made a friend. The shop is well organized
Beautiful Scandinavian gifts! Any you can go to Tre Kronor across the street for Scandinavian food when you’re done shopping. A wonderful experience any time of year!
An interesting mixture of old country products that are a good ambassador for Sweden. The shop also makes a good bulletin board for local Swedish styled events.
Love this shop and the Swedish breakfast place across the street. Their wares are absolutely beautiful! Excellent quality and kind staff.
A wonderful collection of Swedish gifts, including fine Orrefors crystal pieces. Friendly and helpful staff. You can also get herring!
Love all the design items! My package was sent fast, well packed together with a personal note which had made day “mysigare”.
This used to be a premium store for Swedish novelties and goods. Now has a very limited offering and not very well presented.
Charming. Really nice little children's book and toy section. The place to find Moomin stuff! And odd Scandanavian licorice.
Excellent store with great books, projects, kitchen ware, jewelry, snacks, and whatever else you can think of from Sweden.
We always love this place BUT remember tomtems are considered seasonal ans rhey dont have any until after Thanksgiving
They’re not open when they say they are. Went here for 10:15am on a Sunday and not even the lights were on.
Wonderful store gift shopping. All merchandise is of high quality and design. This store is worth a visit.
For all things blue and yellow! In addition, excellent curated selection of kids items for kids 0-3.
Adorable store. Perfect for finding a unique gift for any age or just treating yourself. Shop local!
It is a bit pricey, but the goods are of high quality. The women working there were also very nice
So many beautiful things. If you can't find something to buy, there's something wrong with you.
Friendly staff, great selection, cozy atmosphere. We shop for holiday gifts here every year.
