Pai Thai

I've been coming here for the past 10 months, at least once a month. The flavours here are very authentic and rich! We've tried a lot of things on the menu, however, our favourites are the Beef Masaman Curry and the Mango Chili Fish. They have been slowly upgrading the restaurant and it is now very cozy. Strangely, on our most recent visit, they seem to have had a change of policy where you must get your own drinks. I was about to ask for a Coke when the server cut me off and said that I need to get drinks myself. The strange part is they will serve you water which comes from the same fridge. It's nothing serious, but it was just a strange experience.

Ordered takeaway from Sweet Rice & the food was delicious! Highly rate the pineapple fried rice and they included a generous amount of prawns. Pad thai & chicken mince lettuce salad also very yummy. I mentioned i am allergic to peanuts, so they gave me cashews in a seperate container to substitute which i loved. Thankyou!

BEWARE! These guys are a joke at delivery. My meals were delivered 45 minutes late, and cold! I ordered and scheduled delivery at 5.30pm. I called them at 5.45pm, was told "we got your order and usually we deliver within 30 minutes of schedule". Called them again at 6pm, was told "delivery guy is on the way" (it takes literally 5' from my place to their restaurant!). Called again at 6.15pm, was told "he should be really close". 6.20pm, the delivery guy arrived. Food appeared cold. Way to ruin an evening.

Great and fast dinner option. I ordered some take away. The food was well made and delicious. We ordered laksa(on special at the time...should make it part of the menu!), pad Thai and chicken satay skewers, with some black rice pudding. Only complaint was that the pad Thai seemed quite small? Otherwise, friendly service and good food for a good price. Will come back for sure. The restaurant has a nice, inviting, warm but clean layout. (Might eat in next time, to save using plastic take aways.!)

Long time regular but most recent visit was a little disappointing. Food wasn't as good as it used to be. Curry is great. Fish cakes very nice. Dumplings reasonably nice. But Pad Thai was so soggy we were unable to eat it. Little disappointing. Hopefully it was just a once off. Will come back again to see.

I absolutely love this place, it’s hands down the best Thai food in ten area and my favourite take out food that is close to my home in Altona Nth. It’s difficult because Altona nth has a very limited paces for take out or even restaurants so definitely check this place out if your close. I will say that the dine in food it’s better than the take away, there are a few variations on the dishes depending on if you dine in or take away.

Found this place by accident after getting a bad haircut at Altona gate. I don't live in the area but would travel from Sunshine to eat here. Great Thai food. Had the apple soft shell crab, green curry, and pork/broccoli dish and enjoyed it with my wife. Interesting menu. I'll be back to try more. The boss lady running the show offers great service : )

Overpriced, shocking delivery service... not worth your money! I placed an order for delivery... after an hours wait my food arrived.. cold. My chicken satay skewers were less than half filled with chicken.. and they are priced at $8.90! I opened the container which had a chicken stirfry in it... It was only half full. The practically tasteless Tom Kha soup contained a mere 3 slivers of chicken. Not impressed to say the least.

Food wise I can give 4 stars, but the service is worst. We went 8.30 pm and finish at 9.20pm. while we having good they started mopping the floor for closing. And the waiter is just waiting at the table until I finish my last spoon of my meal to get my plate to washing. Ridiculous and no manners in serving. Even though the food is good, I am not prefer to go back here, because of worst service.

We ordered the salt and pepper calamari and the stir fried chicken with satay sauce and a serve of coconut rice. The food was delicious and fresh and plenty for two of us sharing dishes The staff were lovely and the service was excellent. We also tried the mango ice cream which was beautiful All up $57 for two of us including drinks I was impressed and will definitely go back again

Although their food is good their online ordering is soooo frustrating! Tried multiple times to order using their online page always with the same error, which kills the entire process making you start over again from the beginning. Staff taking orders over the phone won’t honour any of the promotions and discounts they offer online - just give up and go order elsewhere!

I have eaten here many times and the food is always delicious! Today, I was taking my dog for a walk and a thoughtful staff member brought out some water for him. Simple rule in life. ANYONE who loves animals is a good person. This. Also having great food! Definitely have a lazy takeaway (or dine-in) dinner any night of the week.

Simple and very utility type food. A very mediocre standard compared to many other Thai restaurants. Whilst the staff are friendly and the premises is clean, the food doesn’t keep me wanting more or even wanting to return for that matter. Not the worst choice around but definitely not a go to.

Had the Tom Ka Prawn Soup takeaway on Saturday 19th May. Will be my first and last meal here. The soup was putrid. I had a small taste test to see if it tasted as bad as it looks, and it did. It looked like water down milk with a few vegies and prawns. Go elsewhere for your Thai food.

92 minutes it took from ordering to delivery. Tom Kha was way too hot therefore inedible and the food in general felt like there was not love put into it. We have ordered from this place a few time before and the food was better each time. Not tonight, sorry guys. Disappointed.

It seems that everything I try on this menu is AMAZING! Massaman Beef is a crowd pleaser. Pad Thai with prawns is a heart stopper. Honey Chicken sublime. I have never had a bad meal from here and doubt I ever will. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to sweet rice!!

Terrible.. no flavour in the lemongrass stirfry dish. Quite watery. I also ordered the hokkien noodles with vegetable where I also added prawns to the dish. It was terrible. The vegetables was carrots and fried onion. Was very bland. Quite disappointed overall

Small portions and expensive. Flavours were OK but not the most authentic Thai I’ve had. Menu was also misleading and they charged us extra for rice when it clearly says “per head”... probably wouldn’t come back again.

Food is mediocre. Overpriced for what it is. Staff can't follow instructions and then blame the customer; repeatedly and even on my doorstep. They don't take allergies very seriously. Menu does not list ingredients.

I love the chicken rad nah from here. Had a few different dishes & enjoyed each one. Big take away serves and a bit pricy for lunchtime but well worth it.
