Really nice stay here, I arrived in Sydney early hours so I was trying to find accommodation last minute when I called the hotel the manager answered as it was diverted to his phone out of hours. The checked on his laptop and he had availability so booked me in for that morning, usually check in is 3pm onwards in hotels but he said as soon as the current guest has checked out and the room is cleaned he will call me. At 9:00am he called to say it was ready and I can check in early, I really appreciated this as I was so tired from travelling. He’s super friendly, helpful and polite. I felt safe here and it was clean, if I’m honest the room was basic it’s not a 5* hotel but they don’t claim to be 5* as it’s a budget hotel but the bed was super comfy, shower was hot and powerful and there’s a TV and kettle for tea and coffee. Excellent hotel and service, I’m giving this 5* and recommend anyone to stay here, if I’m ever back in Sydney I’ll be staying here, great value for money!!

Boutique - "a business or establishment that is small and sophisticated or fashionable." Well, it's small, but no way is this place sophisticated or fashionable. We prefer to stay in smaller establishments as opposed to large chains. Have stayed in numerous "boutique" hotels all around the world. Thought we'd give this a try. We opted for the "best" rooms, superior with balcony. Room was very small. On-suite door couldn't be closed. Didn't seem clean. Walls thin - could hear conversations from next room. Summed up, this place is tired. This place is more of a lower end (student?) establishment. Bed was comfy. On a busy street, so noisey from traffic. Long walk up hill from Museum station (nearest from airport shuttle train). Our fault for choosing this location. 45 minutes walk to opera house. Should have realised that price was at the lower end, so generally, you get what you pay for. Influenced by the boutique name and images look OK on line. Sorry, but cannot recommend this hotel. Update: October 2023, this hotel is up for sale.

Staff were warm, friendly and welcoming, and very helpful, promptly organising airport transfer service and following up with us regarding our needs. The room was tidy/clean, with basic toiletry and tea/coffee items available for use, an air-conditioner and television, all in working order. The decor was fairly modern, a bit tired in places (peeling paint, cracked steps, but nothing major, it is an old building) and pillows were a bit lumpy, but overall it is a very serviceable for a 3 star hotel, a comfortable room for a short stay, in a really great location. I would stay there again for a night or two for sure!

The room that was allocated to us was not what was advertised. They advertised the refurbished room but we were given an old room. We felt ripped off. Being allocated the first room. We could hear everyone walking in and out of the place and the door slamming everything. The room smelt like bleach, the fridge was mouldy with expired minibar items. The shower area had to lights and had a black curtain. We had to have it opened when showering and ended like a swimming pool outside. The staff was friendly and gave us more towel but didn’t want to complain as I was on holiday and didn’t want to ruin my weekend. I will not recommend this place at all. I would like to have a refund / partial refund as this is a false advertisement.

Had an amazing stay. Staff so helpful and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the area and advice about getting around town. Staff take an interest in their customers and it really did personalised our stay. You don’t just feel like another guest. Couldn’t have been more accommodating. Room very clean and plenty of room for us (family of 3) and our luggage. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

Clean and comfortable. Went in with low expectations because the price was so good for the location but we were blown away with the whole experience.

The room my partner and I booked as many others have said in reviews was nothing like what was advertised! When we went to check in our room wasn’t ready for another 20 minutes so we were left waiting on the street with all our bags Then when we did go to our room it absolutely tiny, with one small window. There were dead bugs in windows and mould and dirty grout all over the bathroom and on the plaster in spots. We went down and spoke to the lovely man at reception and tried his best to apologise. Not only to have the owners call us liars but also slander us for “searching” for dirt in the room

The service was great, we received a lot of tips and this helped us a lot during the trip. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. There is no elevator, this is important to highlight, it wasn't a problem for us, but you might need it. The location is great, close to the subway station and surrounded by great cafes and restaurants. The neighborhood is very pleasant.

The location is nice! Front desk is super friendly and helpful! They offer to help me to carry my luggage to my room when I arrive and also help me to carry them out when I check out! Super grateful for this. Overall the room has everything you need and the shower water is really nice as well! The price is also pretty decent!

Was up to visit a cancer patient at the hospital and needed to make a change in dates. The staff and hotel seemed to only see $$ signs. I had already paid and also wanted to extend but the wanted to charge an extra fee before even considering. No contact and no assistance. Ended staying at a really helpful hotel 9 Springfield. More
Very pleasant room with a huge bonus....windows that open so lots of fresh air onto a balcony. Close to good eating spots, and public transport. Thanks for a relaxing stay

The staff has been amazing. So helpful with our stay. We have 2 kids and can be challenging. The staff has been listening our need and answered it promptly. On the top the room are clean and modern. We loved it. Well done team. For the price it is a bargain. Compare to other hotel we tried, I highly recommend. More
Staff was super sweet, helpful, and accommodating. They answered all questions quickly on email and made everything easy. Room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for what I needed. Great location next to many stores and restaurants! Totally recommend. More
We booked the 3-person room for 3 nights, and completed self check-in because we arrived late at night. The room smelled of mould, and had a large patch of black mould in the wall recess right above the bed (see photo). The blind was broken
