This location at 250 West 57th St does have a good variety of men's & wemons clothing and u do find stuff you don't see at TJ Max's in Brooklyn & Queens But BEWARE there employees are lying to customers asking them if they want 10% off to apply for the TJ Max Card wich the employee made it sound like it wasn't a normal credit card and I was specifically told that if I apply there will be NO! inquiry on my credit report! And there's a 90% chance I will be approved. I have a Credit score of 745 not only was I not approved they scanned my ID and I had to put my full Social security # and I specifically asked a female employee 3 times are you sure I will not have an inquiry on my credit report she looked me strait in my eyes and said NO 3 times! As soon as I stepped out of the store I received a message on my phone that I had an inquiry on my credit report! I went strait back in the store and returned all items and was extremely upset about someone lying strait to my face but more upset that now I have an inquiry that will be on my credit report for 2 years! Even the manager was rude and had this smirk on her face! Smh I believe they are running a scheme to obtain people social and info and selling people's person information for there own profits! This is a huge concern and BEWARE because of this experience I will no longer be going to this location if I could I would give it 0 stars!

This is a pretty great location! Its located conveniently next to the 59th Street train station on 8th Avenue. They recently renovated and opened up a third floor which offers even more items and gives you more space to browse around. They also have multiple cash registers to help move congestion at the line. Expect to wait during the busier times and pick up things you dont need on yiu way to the register lol The workers are friendly and helpful. The greeters are nice and cheerful. I appreciate that security doesn't follow you around when you shop. The first floor is mainly bags and small accessories. The second floor is beauty, women's clothes, travel items and some home goods. The third floor is more home goods, men's clothes, more beauty and the shoe department. There is a lot of selection, things are organized neatly and efficiently and in a way that you can find what you're looking for. Even if you're not looking to buy or dont have time to wait on line, there's a lot to browse and window shop. I will definitely visit again.

Recognizing shop assistant/manager Sydney from the handbags section today. What a wonderful person she is! I am on a short break in New York, and had credit card issues therefore I could not buy the bag of my dream a day ago. After sorting out the technical issue, I came back today to buy the same bag. To my disappointment, it was gone. And then sweet Sydney came to help me with such a determination and genuine care which every shop assistant in NY city should learn so. Well, after a 15-mins thorough search, among probably 600 bags, she just found the last piece of the dream bag (purely based on my poor description, no picture). Her care and inner urge not to wipe me off with a standard 'if you dont see it on display, it is not available' line really touched me today. Go and visit the store as it is a great one (large inventory) but make sure you ask for Sydney for an even greater experience. Thank you, girl, you are second-to-none!

I usually don't pop into T.J. Maxx, but this one has a unique selection of clothes for all, hats depending upon season, plenty of luggage for travel and home goods that make good small touches to your own home or a nice small gift for friends! I only wish they would truly expand the handbags section and what brands they carry, as not everyone is fond of brands big on monograms/lettergraphing and perhaps have more of a variety of type of bags. Otherwise, the section was organized very well, based on color. My beautiful holographic designer bag broke and unfortunately I did not see anything that caught my eye, so hoping the next time I visit, there will be changes! Otherwise, I will say I have picked up some real cute stuff in a hot minute in past visits! And don't worry about the lines! They go quick!

Its a toss but its definitely a great place to dig for deals and steals. The only thing I would suggest is that they denote that there is a 3rd floor and how to get there. It was a bit confusing and unclear and so I felt as though I was walking in circles. The sales ssociates were cool but were more into their work than approaching the clients. And there was product and boxes everywhere; I possibly caught them at a time when they were doing inventory. They also have a new tagging system where you'd have remove an inkless red device from the garment if you want to keep it. Definitely a learning experience.

Be aware!!! I was a victim of a scam that's going on at this location. Somehow, I purchased an brand item that tj maxx doesn't carry (my assumptions whether the tag from different item was attached by an employee, or previously customer). When I brought that item back for a return, with tag and the receipt attached.i was rejected. The supervisor suggested to check cameras, receipt has day and time of purchase. When manager stepped out, he refused to do it. His explanation was that they can do it for some items, but not the item I purchased. How obnoxious the situation is, and zero customer support.

Can't really say whether it's specifically a TJMaxx review, or NYC review in general. I'm now living in Philly and seems we get bottom of the barrel merch. The selection at this store was abundant and way more varied than the little podunk shop in CC Philly... Where, in fairness, I still manage to shop with regularity. Like most off price stores, it's a bit of a mess, but the jewels and crowns of the selections from handbags to shoes are visible enough to spot! Lord know I don't need ANYTHING... But I'll be back!

I.usually find what I need and more! Just bought 2 nice pieces of luggage for my European trip for several weeks. Pretty good quality and price is excellent. I had to return one item and had no problem at all. I did apply for the instant credit to earn TJMaxx rewards and received 10% my first purchase so i felt I received a great deal. I also found a nice pair of jeans for the trip also. I find the place cleaner and easier to shop at than Ross. The reward program is an excellent incentive also

Every TJ max is not the same so it would help to find the one that you like the most depending on what you’re looking for. For example I prefer the one in uptown east next to Trader Joe’s for eyeshadows (their selection and options are the best!). The one in midtown seemed bigger for the clothing section and more organized (that could just be an illusion though). Still looking for the best location for shoes! But overall, its a great place to shop on a budget and the returns are super easy :)

Solid store with something for everyone—could spend hours here if you’ve got the time to really do some treasure hunting. Nice jewelry and cosmetics selection. Good options for kids gifts. The ladies at the dressing room and checkout were friendly, but majority of staff on the floor are pretty miserable and unfortunately some a few outright rude (legit scowls and disdain for customers lol). I’m used to the ‘tude as a NY’er, but for the tourists, don’t take it personally.

I just love visiting the TJ Maxx on 250 W. 57th, in New York City. They have the latest styles and discount prices. The clearance racks are always fun to look through, your almost guaranteed a good bargain.. This store is big and they are constantly disinfecting the shopping carts and registers. They have a good housewares and shoes to look through, and great clothes for kids. I will continue to shop here. You have to wear a mask and they close at 9:00

Best TJ Maxx ever… they had a whole wall of button-up short sleeve shirts which are my absolute favorite. Also, they didn’t pester me about applying for a dumb credit card, which I know is a sore spot for the management, but trust me: if they would’ve asked me about applying, this review would only be three stars at most. Sometimes less is more. (Unless you’re talking about button-ups in which case I need as many as possible.)

This place is incredible! Like many great TJ Maxx stores , this one is no different - it has an endless collection of household items and clothing at extremely affordable prices ️! Walk in and explore the vast variety inventory on display! Definitely check out their clearance section for great affordable finds! Staff is super welcoming and cashiers are extremely nice! This shop offers a wide selection of everything :) really; clothes, home accessories, mobile accessories, snacks and gourmet, handmade articles, stationery, etc .. but what I loved more is the affordable prices of some brands and mainly Tommy, it took me sometime to find my size but at last it did worth the time I spent there .. recommended store to visit while in NY, you gonna spend 2 good hours there :) enjoy

More unusual items than their other stores. Be quick as I’ve learnt to buy and return rather than go back as stuff sells quickly. The queue is usually horrendous after 5. My last visit was on a Saturday around 12 noon. I bought two items which I saw on the first floor. The first floor till was also open. No returns or exchanges on that level and one cashier. Lots of security making the floor look busier.

I feel like I really don’t even need to say much because it’s obvious why I’m giving 5 stars. I clearly spend too much money, but keep coming back for me. The Runway at this location is stellar - and I feel like a diva walking around in my fancy clothes! A great selection of Theory & Vince! The shoes are pretty decent, as well but let’s be real… the dog section is A1!

This location looks closed but is still open. I work nearby and we thought it was closed, but when I went by again I realized that the signs say that they are open. They aren’t the easiest to read from across the street. This location has a great selection and reasonable lines. The space is much cleaner than any TJMaxx, Marshall’s, or Burlington in Queens.

This is a good one. Not overly crowded. Good selection of merchandise that's laid out orderly. Great price on many different items and some designer items as well. Multi level location. The staff are friendly and have. Easily accessible by subway. Parking may be tough in the Lincoln Center area. But you can always pay and go into any parking lot.

It turned out to be a beneficial shopping trip. I wanted items that I should have been marked down but the tag said regular price. I very politely kept asking about markdowns. Eventually one of the supervisors overheard the conversation and marked my items down considerably. I was so happy. It is important to be very polite and very persistent.

Saw some other posts about Eli - the manager and can attest that he needs to be heavily trained on customer service. Worst experience here because of him, had to go to a different location just to get an item returned (with receipt, unopened, with original card number too). Save yourself the headache and time and go to the Midtown East location

Many products are utilized by both men and women, as well as children, especially the clothes.They clearly delineated zones of products. But there were so many things that it was very challenging to search. All goods have discounts. But some of them can be outdated or broken. must carefully inspect

Bi-level well stocked TJ with alot of luggage and high end clothing bags and accessories. Easy to move through the racks. Staff were friendly. Only picked a cosmetic bag and nail wraps. Got them on clearance. There was no line in the morning and many registers were open. Very clean and neat

Racist customer experience. Coordinator Eli made me feel very uncomfortable. He was following me around the store. Never shopping with TJMaxx. Made black shoppers feeling like peasants. Need more training for workers. Disgusting workers and disgusting attitudes. Never shop

They do have more than expected items and variety , and also very crowded. But 80% in the store is woman’s items? Seems that men are naturally demoted and dominated by the women’s market. After all it does make sense! Really, I mean it. We’re not “great shoppers “

This was a gem to find. Cool building, great deals. It's in Manhattan so it is easy to find clothing to fit in with on the cheap. I recommend going here day one and throw/give away the stuff you arrived in. Why take home old you don't need.

Nice handbags downstairs. Didn't find many clothes I liked. They had lots of Activewear. The shoe section has some shoes that are only in one size so you may see a pair you like, but won't find them in your size.

There are better TJM outlets than this one in midtown. Big size gaps in male waist sizes for shorts and trousers (36 and then…42!). Over-crowded with Brits buying luggage for some reason. No room to move around.
