The staff, including the manager, was very unhelpful and incompetent. I asked them do to an easy task for me - to update my mailing address and have the new card with my name on it delivered to this new address. They said they won't do it, because I did not have the proof of address with me. What I had with me, though, was my ID, which, normally, is more than enough if you want to make any changes. Then they just advised me to do all the changes online. Which, of course, is a possibility, however, I could not find the option for issuing the new card over there. And that's why I came to the branch. No help provided whatsoever. I felt more like a bother to them. I asked them how is that possible that they need the proof of my new address. Because, technically, if I would change it online from home, there would be nobody to check anyway. I don't understand what is the difference then. They just said it's a branch policy and that was their solution. To me it seemed like they were just too lazy to do it because the queue started accumulating. (only two employees were working) I then talked to the manager, however she did not say anything, just told me to do it online. Again very lazy and unhelpful. What is the reason for the branch even being there, if they are incompetent to help with seemingly easy tasks like this? What shocked me more, though, was how they mistreated an older gentleman in front of me. He was clearly struggling and the staff just insisted on him to leave and don't block the line and do everything at home. Which, apparently, he didn't know how to and that's why he came to this branch asking for help. After the gentleman was "kicked out" he was then standing in front of an ATM in the hall, which probably was not the best spot for standing, however, the manager approached him and instead of offering help, she, again, just told him to move away. This is just not how the bank should help their clients. I am honestly very disappointed and definitely will consider to open an account with a different bank. Hopefully you will pay a closer attention to this complaint and try to train your current staff at this branch to be more helpful and proactive.
I had the most frustrating experience trying to reach TD customer service by phone about an important alert I had received. Literally spent hours – and hours -- waiting for customer service to pick up, only to have the line disconnect – more than once. Was ready to pull my hair out. Decided to come into the branch, to see if they could help. Was lucky enough to find Tanya there & available. She immediately stepped into super-hero mode, bless her soul. She placed the call for me again – this time, with three sources going at the same time (talk about a risk mgt plan!!) – a land line, a line through the computer & a cell phone. We wound up getting through fairly quickly and had the issue completely resolved shortly after. A truly tremendous help. I’ve sought her help a number of times in the branch & find that she’s always calm, clear-headed & super pleasant to deal with. Thank you so much, Tanya!
The sheer incompetence and arrogance of this branch is shocking. I have the misfortune of having to use this branch frequently after our better, near-by branch closed. It's obvious that the rot at this branch runs right up to the managers - Kristina in particular is awful, condescending, and extremely rude. Humans make mistakes, and generally, if they're owned up to and corrected, we can accept that. Here, they make mistake after mistake after mistake and then blame everyone else, never take responsibility, never try to correct the issue. AVOID THIS BRANCH AT ALL COSTS if you can. I've never once felt the need to review a bank bc generally service at other TDs are fine, but the incompetence and terrible customer service I have had to deal with repeatedly over the last year. Will be looking to carry my business account elsewhere.
This is the least friendly (unwelcoming to clients transferring), most impersonal, noisiest, and less competent bank breach experience I’ve had in 15 years. My old TD branch closed months ago on Broadway, and this Danforth location is my closest location. I’ve been to Danforth TD branch three times and it’s been sub-par service each time. As I shared with the TD staff on my second visit, after having been with TD for 12 years, I’m considering moving my business to another bank. At the very least, moving forward, I’ll be driving an extra 5 minutes to the Pape location. I trust this TD bank will do some renovations to reduce the noise of the bank as well impart training to communicate a more friendly and personalized service.
Tried to pay a Bell bill here. Big mistake. The young girl kept telling me my Bell account was not on file and don't I have the account number? I kept telling her no, it is on my file as I pay my bill at the bank all the time. She kept insisting that there was no record of that and dont i have a paper statement. I kept trying to explain to her that Bell doesn't mail out Bill's anymore. Finally i had to leave as i was now late for work. I went to a different branch the next day and paid my bill no problem. Stay away from this branch. It was a big waste of time and the girl kept staring at me like I was an alien. I felt uncomfortable and awkward when I left.
The FSRs at this location are terrible. Save yourself the time and stay away, especially from Nasrin who was the most unhelpful of them all. She rushed me off the phone and told me the application was being processed when I called to follow up, only for me to wait a month and not hear anything back. The second time I spoke to her she tells me the application wasn't put through at all, but she didn't know where my files were so she couldn't do anything. I will never deal with this branch again, and will probably switch from TD to a bank who has less dismissive staff and is better with their clients' accounts.
We have been banking here for many years with service that has ranged from excellent to adequate. The last year has been exasperating, with account changes, applications and requests being an exercise in frustration. These have ranged from setting up a line of credit to simple bank account linking. Over and over again, there have been mistakes which we catch and then have to request to be rectified. Sometimes, these rectifications lead to more mistakes. I'm about to move all my business to a competent competitor.
Unfortunately this branch suffers from a case of not being able to offer a large number of bank services as well as providing bad customer service. Not all of this is down to the branch itself but the difficulties of doing banking in Canada between banks. I guess in the end it’s best to have all services with just a single bank - so I’m moving to RBC.
The customer service that I’ve received today was horrible. Customer service should be about going the extra mile to help customers and resolve issues not making things more complicated. Very rude branch manager and staff looked scared of her . Won’t be going there again and I’ll make sure I tell all my contacts how horrible TD service is
The first time being at this branch and the first branch that refused accepting my changes to be deposited into my account unless they were in rolls- (it was only $50) -they sent me to dollar store to get the rolls !!! They even did not have the rolls at the branch- Just lazy people! They helped me in the other branches -
Worst customer service I have ever had from TD - decades long customer and I had an insulting, horrible experience with the Assistant Branch Manager that refused to cash a cheque for no justifiable reason. DO NOT GO TO THIS BRANCH. The management are rude, lazy and do not understand cheque cashing protocols.
The Branch Manager here, Michael Longo, lacks a basic understanding of bank drafts and real estate transactions. He refused to accept a bank draft issued by RBC. We had no issues completing a basic deposit with the TD in Leslieville at Queen and Logan.
I went in at 11:30PM and staff were smoking cigarettes past the locked doors. Cleaning staff or NOT I finally figured out the reason behind the musty smoking smell in there. Unacceptable and one of the many reasons I want to leave TD.
Звонят номера к которым привязаны адреса к этому банку и обманом пытаются выманить деньги, мошенники на русском языке. Как они узнают что я русский ,вопрос к службе безопасности банка, кто сливает клиентов и их номера телефонов.
Doors to the ATMs are locked! Whereas other locations are always open. I wasted time going down here to use the ATM because the one on Broadview closed. This was Sunday during the day-NOT OPEN! Very frustrating
Honestly one of the best locations ive bin to. Very friendly and competent staff. Never had any problems here. Infact they made my life much easier. Wich is the opposite for every other bank ive bin to.
Easily the worst TD in the city. From rookie tellers who don't know how to do basic deposits, them allowing customers to cut lines constantly. Their banking practices are straight out of the 80s
I really like everyone who works here. They are all sweet helpful and efficient. Sometimes there are long wait times because it just gets really busy. Also there is a good fruit and next to it.
Not helpful manager would release only 200$ bucks for a 6k check. Ridiculous. I'm banking with td for over 2 years. Never had checks bounced. 0 customer satisfaction
I had excellent experience with Mike the branch manager very efficient and timely approval of my mortgage I would highly recommend this branch.
This branch seems to change a lot quickly and I never really develop a rapport with anyone which is nice in a bank.
Quite possibly the worst branch with lazy staff. I am switching to RBC which I found to be much more helpful
Why is it impossible to deposit cash at these ATM here ? These ATMs need a desperate upgrade .
ATMs work around the clock. Service is average, nothing outstanding. Just an average bank.
ATM is not accessible after hours - the nearest 24 hour one is at 77 West Bloor Street
